Chapter Four: Motorcycles Are A Menace!
She continued running at full speed down the sidwalk, Booted feet hitting the ground at a rapid pace. "Never trust the silent types. They always turn out to be lunatics." She muttered to herself, oblivious to her surroundings until someone scream "GET OUT OF THE WAY!". Her head snaps up and her eyes widen in pure fear and shock as her eyes landed on a motorcycle that was barreling towards her and fast. She closes her eyes and her arms cross over her chest in a defensive position, waiting for the impact of the vehicle hitting her with full force. The impact never came as she heard the screeching of the wheels, almost deafening, then the sound of metal hitting metal. SHe opened her eyes and looks over to where the attacking motorcycle had crashed to see it far from okay. It was missing a handle, now, and had somehow wrapped itself around the pole. A short distance away was the tanned male who had been driving that particular vehicle. He still had his helmet on so she couldn't tell who he was at all. She did, of course, make out some Egyptian curses coming from his mouth. Egyptian studies sure did help back in the Americas.
"Are you alright?" She asks as she slowly approaches the male, stepping over the missing motorbike handle. SHe stopped walking when he stood up, being taller than her but only by an inch or two. He removed the helmet he was wearing to reveal his hair that looked like the beach sand near the coatline of Japan. His pale lavender eyes shift over to Chris as he glares darkly at her. "Are you tired or were you born stupid?" He asks in a hissing voice that made Chris back up slightly. "Erm..sorry.." She says, unsure as of how he would react. "Sorry. You made me wreck my bike and almost killed me. And you just say Sorry." He says as calmly as he possibly could. "You COULD have run me over. It isn't like one death will matter so it is half of it is your fault."
a good thirty minutes of fighting Chris had offered to call a tow truck. "Listen, I'll pay for a new bike or, if yours can be fixed, I'll pay for the damages, alright?" She asks as the tow truck people come to take Marik's poor Motorbike to who knows where. Marik nodded slightly to her offer, since he was now calm. "Bye the way, the name's Chris." Chris says as she looks to the sixteen year-old next to her. "Marik Ishtar." Marik said while side glancing to Chris. "Erm..would you like to go to the cafe'? At least until they call in with what you should do with your bike, ya know." Marik looks to her for a moment. Confusion reflected in his lavender optics. "I guess." He mutters. Chris had completely forgot about the whole 'Babysitting' thing as she walks along side with Marik towards the small cafe on the other side of the street. Oh yes, this is the start of a wonderful friendship, I think.
End Chapter!
