Yu-Gi-Oh! Fan Fiction ❯ Fallen ❯ Bring Me To Life ( Chapter 2 )

[ P - Pre-Teen ]

Priestess: I wrote this over a year ago and it sucks, so if you don't want to read it I suggest you don't-even I don't like it, and I wrote it! I'm probably going to replace it when I have the time.

How can you
see into my eyes
Like open
doors
Leading you down
into my core
Where I've
become so numb
Without
a soul
My spirit's sleeping
somewhere cold
Until you find
it there and lead it back home

A man clenched his fists with fury. His wild white hair was seductive in its own unruly way; his purple-ruby eyes viciously narrow.

"Stupid…light…" he hissed, kicking a trash can. He had on a light-blue-and white striped tee shirt. Over it was a light blue coat-thing with the sleeves rolled up.

"Excuse me," said a placid, quiet voice like reed flutes.

"What?" he snapped, turning, his teeth clenched to show quite clearly the fang-like incisors.

He recognized the woman standing in front of him.

(Wake me up)
Wake me
up inside.
(I can't
wake up)
Wake me
up inside.
(Save me)
Call my name and
save me from the dark
(Wake me up)
Bid my
blood to run
(I can't
wake up)
Before I
come undone
(Save
me)
Save me from the
nothing I've become
Bring me
to life

The wind didn't riffle the strait, silky pitch hair shining brilliantly in the faint light from the sharp-edged sickle in the sky. A gold tiara graced her lightly tanned head, as an emerald shone magnificently above wise sapphire eyes with black lashes. She was a young woman in a white dress, graceful and kind, her beautiful face not betraying a bit of her feelings.

Her name was Ishizu Ishtar.

"If this is about Battle City, I didn't even help get rid of the fiend, so quit trying to thank me for trying!" he snarled, baring fanglike incisors. "Anyway, I didn't do it for your stupid brother; I did it for myself-to gain the Millennium Rod. And you gave the Millennium Necklace to the stupid Pharaoh, so it makes you an enemy in my book."

"I see…"

Now that I know what I'm without
You
can't just leave me
Breathe into me
and make me real
Bring
me to life

He turned away, but Ishizu murmured, just loud enough to be heard, "When some one expresses gratitude, you could just try saying 'thank you'."

He whirled on her. "What was that?"

Her eyes remained tranquil, her voice ever unswerving. "I doubt you get thanked very often."

There was a swish of wind which briefly blew his bangs in front of his eyes, and in that fleeting minute, she was no where to be seen.

(Wake me up)
Wake me
up inside.
(I can't
wake up)
Wake me
up inside.
(Save me)
Call my name and
save me from the dark
(Wake me up)
Bid my
blood to run
(I can't
wake up)
Before I
come undone
(Save
me)
Save me from the
nothing I've become
Bring me
to life

Furiously, he turned and stormed to his/Ryou's house, sending anybody who got near him to the Shadow Realm.

When he got home, he suddenly seemed to change.

His eyes became soft, emerald with lime glimmers, and his hair fell just a bit more evenly.

Bring me to life.
I've been living a lie
There's nothing inside
Bring me to life

Ryou was proud of himself. He had tricked his yami once more. He had d dueled his way and lost to Yami no Yugi, which was fine with him!

Since the Ring came into his life, it had been one misery after another. But he kept getting through it. Though the Ring, and with it Bakura, returned every time, he could still do his best to keep his influence. He'd even given Yami no Yugi the Millennium Eye!

'He isn't telling me what to do!' he thought with triumph.

Frozen inside without your touch
Without your
love, darling
Only you are the life among the dead

Ryou finished his home work with a contented sigh and inclined against the couch.

His yami was infatuated with the most repulsive things-supremacy and injuries and murder. Why couldn't he have received the Puzzle instead of the Ring?

And why did his father keep leaving the entire time? Didn't he love him any more? And why did his sister and mother need to die?

All of this time
I can't believe I
couldn't see
Kept in the dark
But you were there in front of me
I've been sleeping a
1000 years it seems
I've got to open my
eyes to everything

He shook his head. He couldn't think about that-he needed to focus on the important thing….

But the important thing just made him feel worse.

Feeling a coolness under his left eye, he reached up and caught it with his finger, then looked at said finger. There was a shining bead of water there. With a start, Ryou realized he was crying.

Without a thought
Without
a voice
Without
a soul
Don't let me
die here
There must be
something more
Bring
me to life

I wish Bakura could understand me.'

He snorted.

Yeah right.

Like Bakura could ever understand what it was like to be secluded and miserable.

Exhausted suddenly, Ryou Bakura sighed and fell asleep.

(Wake me up)
Wake me
up inside.
(I can't
wake up)
Wake me
up inside.
(Save me)
Call my name and
save me from the dark
(Wake me up)
Bid my
blood to run
(I can't
wake up)
Before I
come undone
(Save
me)
Save me from the
nothing I've become
Bring me
to life

Bakura got up and sat on the couch, cursing under his breath.

"My entire village was murdered in the name of the stupid, fucking Pharaoh," he hissed. "It was my family and friends who died to create the Millennium Items. They should be mine. Why can't my light understand?"

He snorted.

Yeah right.

Like Ryou could ever understand what it was like to be alone and miserable.

Exhausted suddenly, Yami Bakura sighed and fell asleep.
