Huza! Chapter 11 to "Father, Mother, Lover" I hope you like it. Yugi has a bigger part in this one too as well as the next chapter! ENJOY!!

Yugi had been enrolled in his old school just like Yami and Bakura had promised he would and Yugi woke up early to get to school early just like he used to. Yami and Bakura hadn't woken up yet but Yugi left them a note telling them he had already headed off to school. Yugi walked briskly toward the school and ran into Joey on the way.

"Hey Yugi…where have you been? I haven't seen you in days, you never met us up at the arcade you know." Joey said

"Oh…I'm sorry we've been having some problems at home recently, and I couldn't go." Yugi said "Sorry if I could have told you earlier I would but my mind had been on other things recently." Yugi said silently thinking of Ryou.

"Family problems?" Joey said but noticed Yugi's discomfort so didn't ask "You wanna walk to school with me?" Joey asked

"Um…well…I'm starting back at my old school, I wont be at school anymore." Yugi said

"Oh…well if you have the time maybe we could do something." Joey said smiling

"Okay, if I have the time I'll be sure to set up something." Yugi said returning the smile.

The two parted ways and started toward their school. Yugi felt kind of bad that he had completely forgotten about Joey these past few days. He didn't have any classes with him and could only see him during lunch but as the trial crept closer and closer Ryou kept on loosing his appetite and took a lot to get him to eat during lunch time. Yugi had basically put everything else out of him mind to try and comfort Ryou and now it all seemed like a lost cause. Yugi knew how Ryou's mind worked something made him say those words.

"Hai…I want to go home." Ryou said not looking at anyone

Ryou wouldn't say that for any good reason and Yugi was determined to find out exactly what happened to make Ryou do this to himself.

When Yugi had entered the classroom he wasn't the least bit surprised to find Ryou asleep upon his desk. Yugi felt his heart skip a beat…everything was returning to normal for him unfortunately. Yugi went over to him and shook him gently causing Ryou to jump at the contact.

"Y-Yugi? Is that you?" Ryou asked in disbelief

"Yeah…you're hurt." Yugi trailed off

"I'll live…you shouldn't be here Yugi, you should stay away from me I'll only put you in danger." Ryou said looking away

"Is that why you lied in court?" Yugi asked, "To protect me?" Yugi said

"…My father wants you as well, he was looking at you in the court room…I knew what he wanted, and if I said yes I could at least buy you some time and warn you about him." Ryou said

"The only one that poses a threat to me is my father…" Ryou cut Yugi off

"They're working together…" Ryou said voice cracking

"Doshite?" Yugi asked

"When I was taken home you're father was there…they told me that they are planning to take you as well. Mr. Uba is also helping them, you cant stay here Yugi its too dangerous for you to be here." Ryou begged

"I…I cant just leave you here alone! I can't let you live your life like this again." Yugi said trying to knock some sense into his friend

"I sacrificed everything so I could help you! Now you wont head my warning!" Ryou practically screamed "Please Yugi I did this for you!" Ryou said

"I wont leave you!" Yugi screamed back

"Shimatte Yugi listen to me! Do you know what they did to me?! Do you know what they will do to you! Onegai…" tears began to stream down Ryou's face "You, you're my best friend Yugi…my only friend…I couldn't bear it if anything happened to you." Ryou chocked back a sob that rose in his throat "Stay away from me, onegai." Ryou said leaving the classroom limping slightly as he went

Tears began to fall from Yugi's delicate features "Baka!" Yugi screamed after Ryou who ignored the comment.

"I…I just want to help you." Yugi said although Ryou was already gone

The rest of the day went by slowly for both boys. Every time Yugi tried to speak to Ryou, Ryou would leave the classroom and if they meet in the hallway or during lunch Ryou would avoid him at all costs. Yugi felt like he was on the brink of tears the entire day. Ryou would look up at Yugi when Yugi wasn't aware and Yugi would look at Ryou when he wasn't aware. Both of their eyes had pity and concern within them for their friend…but neither of them would listen to the other. Ryou for some reason was excused from class thirty minutes early to go home. Yugi's heart sank, that was the last attempt he would have today, to try and get Ryou to go home with him. But at least he knew why Ryou lied and it did make him feel slightly better that he now knew, and he knew Yami and Bakura would want this information. He walked slowly home and someone ran up to him calling his name so Yugi stopped.

"Honda?" Yugi said, "What are you doing here?" Yugi asked

"I was in the neighborhood and Joey wanted to know if you would like to go to the arcade with us…he's already there so we can just go together." Honda said

"I…" Yugi stopped it was strange, but if Joey wanted to meet up why didn't he say anything earlier, Yugi bit his lower lip "I'll have to check in at home." Yugi said

"Here…" Honda said whipping out a cell phone "Call em." He said

"Uh…no, I really should check in besides I have a lot of homework." Yugi lied backing away Honda was being a little persistent and pushy.

"…You're not making my job any easier kid." Honda growled

Yugi backed a few feet away from him "J-job?" He asked cautiously

"They figured you go back to see Ryou, and you're a long way form home as it is you know." Honda said smiling evilly

"They? What do you want?" He finally asked

"Your dad and Ryou's dad who else would be interested in you?" Honda said "If you come quietly I…" Honda was cut of when Yugi threw his backpack in his face and ran.

Yugi screamed at himself as he ran. Baka! Baka! Yugi said to himself you were so stupid not to listen to Ryou, this is what he was trying to warn you about…oh god please let me make it home, don't let him catch me. Yugi pleaded this phrase to anyone who might be listening. Unfortunately Honda was much faster than Yugi was even though he was delayed by the sudden attack from Yugi's backpack he caught up with him grabbing him by the back of the shirt and slamming him up against the nearby wall and then dragging him into the nearby alley.

"I didn't want to hurt you but now you've pissed me off!" He spat punching him across the face

Yugi tried to react quickly once he hit the floor but his body wouldn't respond fast enough as he was kicked in the ribs before he had a chance to get back up. Honda slammed Yugi's head down upon the concrete until he passed out. Honda kicked Yugi one last time although he was already unconscious. He pulled out his cell phone and dialed the number to Ryou's house.

"Bakura residence." Ryou's voice answered

"Yeah is Yaten there?" He asked

"Wait a moment." Ryou said as he went into the living room "Sir? The phone is for you." Ryou said keeping his eyes glued to the floor.

"Go to your room Ryou, I'll call you out later." Yaten said as Ryou quickly went upstairs

"Yeah?" He asked

"I got the kid you wanted." Honda said

"Really? Where are you?" Yaten asked

"I'm in an alley a few blocks from your place, the kids unconscious and I cant very well carry him down the street like this." Honda said

"I'll send his father to go and get him in the meantime make sure he doesn't wake up." Yaten said hanging up the phone.

"We have what you wanted." Yaten said smiling at Boshi

"Good, this little business of yours is sure to grow with my son becoming a part of it now." Boshi said cruelly.

Ryou heard those words through his door and broke down into uncontrollable sobs.

I know, I know, I'm evil and all that good stuff…I guess you might wanna hold evil comments for the next chapter major because Yugi and Ryou angst in the next chapter and Yami and Bakura file for a missing person but they have to wait TWO DAYS!
