Yuri: I'm backkkk!

Jou: Hey where'd you come from?

Yuri: Mars.

Seto: Really? How's the weather over there?

Yuri: Pretty hot actually.

Jou: Well why are you here?

Yuri: I'm here to post a new story that I'm working on.

Seto: Aren't you already working on one?

Yuri: Ya but I think I can handle working on two at the time.

Jou: What's the other one called again?

Yuri: Love Forever. It's pretty good.

Seto: Remind me to check it out later.

Yuri: I will! Anyways this is a mermaid (or men w/e) fic. I hope you guys enjoy it. Here you go!

 

…Hide and Seek…

 

“Yugi! Come find us!”

 

“Ok!”

 

A small boy appeared from a cove. He was a beautiful boy at just 16 years old. He had bright gold bangs that graced his forehead and red and black hair that resembled a star. He had large amethyst eyes that shimmered with innocence. His chest was bare and he had a bright green tail with fins.

 

“Come out, come out wherever you are!” the small boy called out.

 

He swam over to a large rock and peeked over it.

 

“I found you Jou!”

 

A tall boy swam out from behind the rock and grinned sheepishly. He had sandy blonde hair and honey brown eyes. His chest was also bare and he had the same green tail with fins that Yugi had.

 

“Ah! Yuge, your too good at this game” Jou said.

 

Yugi just smiled and turned around before calling out to his other to friends. “Hey Ryou! You can come out from behind that pillar and Malik you can come out from that bush!”

 

A young boy with pure white hair and chocolate brown eyes appeared along side a boy with perfect tan skin, lavender eyes, and blonde hair that reached his shoulders.

 

“This game's not even fun anymore” the one called Ryou sighed.

 

“Ya. We're going to have to find a new game to play” Malik said.

 

Both Ryou and Malik had the same tail with fins that Yugi and Jou had and Ryou also had a bare chest. However Malik had a short-sleeved purple shirt that cut at his stomach.

 

“Hey, you guys, I got an idea” Jou said excitedly.

 

“What?!” everybody said in unison.

 

“Let's go up to the surface!” Jou answered.

 

“That's a great idea!” Malik shouted. Ryou and Yugi however were a little bit more cautious.

 

“I don't know Jou. You know that everybody is forbidden to go up to the surface,” Ryou said.

 

“Ya I don't think we should” Yugi said slowly.

 

Jou looked towards Yugi and smiled. “Come on Yuge! Just think! We could see the birds or boats…we might even see humans!”

 

Yugi's whole face expression changed at this point. “Really?” he asked as he thought to himself. Jou had used his weakness against him since his best friend was well aware of his fascination of humans. “Ok” Yugi said “Let's go.”

 

“Are you sure Yugi?” Ryou asked.

 

“O come on Ryou. Lighten up. We'll be fine!” Malik said.

 

Ryou just sighed and nodded. The group swam up until the sun became clearly visible. They all jumped out of the water and then settled down. They kept half of their faces covered by the water but kept their eyes well about the water level so that they could see everything. They were all actually quite surprised how close they were to the shore. It wasn't a regular shore though. It was privately owned. There was a huge mansion that was in the middle of the island but no one ever came out of it. Jou looked around before sighing.

 

“Awww man! There's nothing out here,” he said

 

“O well. Let's just go see if we can find something to do at one of our places” Malik said.

 

Everyone agreed and they were about to swim back down to the bottom of the sea when they heard voices. They all turned towards the shore to see four humans just pacing around the shore.

 

“Hurry!” Ryou whispered “Behind this rock.”

 

They all hid and poked their heads out just enough to see what was going on.

 

“Yami! Why did you bring us out here? There's nothing to do on this cruddy shore!” said a guy who looked exactly like Ryou except for the fact that his hair was more erratic and his eyes were a shade darker.

 

“Because I'm sick of being stuck up in that house all day. We need to get some fresh air,” said the one who was called Yami. Yami was a reflection of Yugi except for the fact that Yami was slightly taller, he had crimson eyes, and he had more gold streaks in his hair.

 

“Well we can't be out here for too long. We have to take care of other stuff,” someone else said.

“Ok Seto” Yami said.

 

Jou looked up to the person named Seto and was in complete shock at how beautiful the man was. Seto was very tall and had dark brown hair with icy blue eyes. Jou was absolutely memorized by this stranger.

 

“Marik let's throw shit into the water and see who can make the biggest splash,” said Ryou's look a like.

 

The person named Marik just nodded. Marik was also very similar in appearance to Malik except Marik's hair was shot up in every direction.

 

Yami just sighed at his friend's stupidity and looked out into the sea. He was surprised when he thought he saw red and black hair sticking out of a rock. He walked as close as he could to the shore before calling out.

 

At this point Yugi and his friends were all talking about what they should do now.

 

“We need to leave now before we get caught” Ryou said.

 

“But when are we going to get another chance to see so many humans this close?” Yugi complained.

 

“I'm sorry to say Yugi but I think Ryou's right. They could be dangerous” Jou said.

 

Yugi frowned. “Sorry Yuge” Jou sighed

 

“Ok let's go” Malik said.

 

They all nodded and dived back into the sea. First Ryou, then Malik, then Jou, and Yugi was just about to swim down when he heard someone calling out to him.

 

“Excuse me. Is anyone there?” a deep voice asked.

 

Yugi turned around and peered his head out from behind the rock only to meet crimson eyes. His instinct told him to leave right now but for some reason his eyes were locked on the individual standing not to far away from him. Seto and the others looked up to where Yami was looking and saw what looked like a smaller version of Yami. Suddenly someone was pulling at Yugi's arm, which caused Yugi to snap out of it. Yugi looked to his right to see Jou.

 

“Come Yugi. We have to go!” Jou yelled. At this point both Ryou and Malik had surfaced and were all pulling Yugi.

 

“Wait don't go!” Yami pleaded. But it was no use. They were all gone.

 

“Who in Ra's name were they?” Bakura asked in shock. He couldn't believe his eyes when he saw someone who looked like he could be his twin.

 

Yami was speechless. He couldn't say a word because he was just so stunned.

 

“Yami? You ok?” Marik asked.

 

Yami shook his head before replying. “Ya I'm fine.”

 

“I wonder what those people were doing out there,” Marik said.

 

“I don't think they were people” Bakura jumped in.

 

“What do you mean?” Seto asked.

 

“I mean come on. If they were human than wouldn't they have surfaced again by now for air” Bakura answered.

 

“Wait! Are you talking about Mermaids?” Marik asked with his eyes wide open.

 

“Mermen maybe?” Bakura said.

 

“No. It was obviously just a mirage or something,” Seto said logically.

 

“Ya. Your probably right” Marik said.

 

“Of course I am! Now let's go inside before the heat plays more tricks on us” Seto ordered.

 

The others just nodded and began to walk inside. Yami on the other hand was paralyzed where he stood. “Yami you coming?” Seto asked. Yami turned and nodded before starting to walk away. He turned his head and stared back at the spot where he swore he had seen four people just moments ago. He thought he saw the water move but just turned away and held his head. `I'm seeing things' he thought to himself. As they all walked in, not one of them noticed the four pairs of eyes staring after them.
