...Wedding Day...
Seto looked out of the large window in front of him with narrowed eyes. What could he do? What could anybody do to stop this mess? He watched as the servants glided from one side of the shore to the other side. Today was the day. The day that Yami was giving his life away to Anzu and officially taking his love away from Yugi. This Seventh item was unable to be located and no one could get their hands on Anzu's other item since the girl had always brought it with her. She might have been a rude, arrogant bitch but Anzu was not at all dumb. She was using her other item as leverage. If any of them interfered with Anzu and Yami's wedding, then Ra knows what would happen. His face expression softened slightly when he felt warm arms wrap around his waist.
"What are we going to do?" Jou asked as he leaned his head on Seto's back.
Seto didn't reply. He didn't know the answer so there was no point. He loved the feel of Jou's breath on his back and memories from the night before resurfaced. After Jou had walked back in the room and slammed the door shut, Seto could tell that the blonde was very upset and had offered to stay with him throughout the night, which is exactly what he did. They did not move any further in their physical relationship then they did last night. Neither of them were ready and they wanted to take their new-found relationship slow. The sun was still low in the sky due to the fact that it was very early. The gray in the sky was just beginning to disappear as the rays of the sun pierced the clouds sharply.
"Seto," Jou said again.
"Yes, puppy?" Seto replied.
Jou smiled. He loved Seto's endearing nickname. It truly meant a lot to him to have someone love him the way that he had so desired for so many years. "We need to stop this" the blonde said.
"I know," Seto said and then turned to face his love. He bent down and kissed Jou's lips gently. Jou smiled brightly but then frowned after a few seconds. Before Seto could ask what was wrong, Jou threw on a clean white shirt and a green jacket. "I have to go talk to Yugi" Jou said.
Seto nodded and threw a blue shirt on. "I'm going to search for the others. Meet us in the living room."
Jou nodded and then pecked Seto on the lips. "I love you" Jou said with a smile.
Seto smiled as well. "I love you too" he said and then watched as the blonde walked out of the room. It didn't take to long for Jou to find Yugi's room and before knocking, Jou took a very deep breath.
"Yuge?" Jou said softly as he knocked.
No response...
Jou sighed and knocked again, this time more loudly. "Yugi, please. Can we talk?" Jou said.
Jou was slightly taken aback when the door moved away from underneath his hand. He looked down at the small boy who had opened the door. Yugi's large purple eyes were puffy and his face was red from crying. The sight would break anyones heart and Jou felt absolutely awful for yelling at his friend on the previous night.
"Yuge, I'm so sorry. I know what I did was wrong. I never meant to hurt-"
Yugi raised up his hand. "No Jou, you were right. I was being selfish. I hope you can find it in your heart to forgive me" Yugi said quietly.
Jou smiled at his little friend. "Already done" the blonde said. Yugi flashed Jou a small smile.
"Get ready" Jou said suddenly.
Yugi looked surprised. "Where are we going?" he asked.
Jou grinned. "We're going to get Yami back" Jou said. Yugi looked happy for a second...but just for a second.
"It's no use Jou," Yugi said looking down at the ground with pain in his eyes. "Yami's with Anzu now. Spell or no spell. What more can I do?"
Jou tilted his head at the words that came out of his friend's mouth. "What do you mean, Yuge? You love this man, you can't give up. Remember what I said to you a few weeks ago?"
Yugi closed his eyes as he thought back to what the blonde had told him. "If you really care about something, you have to fight for it," Yugi said slowly.
Jou nodded. "So are you coming?"
Yugi felt hope and determination flow through his veins. He didn't feel so depressed as he did only minutes ago and he was so grateful to have a friend like Jou. "Thank you Jou. For being there for me."
The blonde smiled in response. "Don't mention it," Jou said. "Get ready. We'll be in the living room."
Yugi nodded and watched Jou walk down the hallway and then disappear into a large wooden door. Yugi closed his door and then walked over to his closet before taking out a pair of white pants with a white shirt and jacket. 'I'm coming Yami. I'm coming' Yugi said to himself as he threw on his attire.
Meanwhile, Anzu stood in front of the large mirror in her room. She twirled around and her long white dress twirled with her. The smile on her face couldn't be wider. This was it. This was the day. The day that Anzu would have everything that she had always wanted. She would have Yami. Forever. "Till death do us part," she whispered to no one.
...
Malik was leaning against the wall in the corner of the large living room while Ryou was sitting on the couch and Seto was sitting in a chair next to a small glass table. When Jou had walked in, he had sensed the high amount of tension in the room, but by the look on Ryou's face, he didn't really think it was such a good idea to bring it up. Ryou, who had been there for a while noticed that every time the door opened, Malik had tensed up. What had happened to make Malik so upset, Ryou wondered. After Jou took a seat in a chair next to Seto, Bakura and Marik walked in followed by Yugi.
"What's the plan?" Ryou asked after everyone had settled down.
Everyone was silent however this was expected. After a short while, Seto spoke up: "Marik, to your knowledge, is there anything that can break the effects of the items? In other words, break the spell."
Marik shook his head and as he spoke, Ryou noticed to malice in Malik's face. "No. Like I said before, the only way is to get another item and wish that Yami was back to normal but that seems very unlikely since there's only one regular item left that Anzu has. And of course the Seventh Item cannot be found. If it evens exist."
Bakura, along with about everyone else, looked at Marik with shock. "What do you mean 'if it even exists?' the albino said.
Marik hesitated for a moment before answering: "I forgot to mention that there is no proof of there ever actually being a Seventh Item that is ireversable. I just heard that there was."
Everyone became silent again until the silence was broken by the boy who had been leaning on the wall in the corner. "Typical" Malik said.
Marik snapped his head towards the boy who had just spoke. "What's typical?" he asked.
Malik rolled his eyes. "It's typical for a human to completely make up shit just for the purpose of making up shit!" Malik said with anger.
"O would you just shut up about the whole human thing!?" Marik said.
Malik instantly jumped off the wall and quickly made his way to Marik only to be stopped by Yugi.
"Malik, please not now. Please?" Yugi said as he stood in between the two Egyptians with open arms.
Malik looked down at Yugi and then back up at Marik. "You are so lucky" was all Malik said before walking back to his place on the wall.
Jou, after a few moments, took a deep exhale. He really thought he was about to witness a full out brawl. "Well now that that's over, lets get back to the problem at hand."
Everyone nodded before a brainstorming session begun. All that could be heard was the ticking of the large grandfather clock on the right side of the room. Everyone had had their own reasons for wanting to stop this wedding. Jou, Ryou, and Malik just wanted to help Yugi. Seto did not want that crazy bitch to be related to him, he wanted to make Jou happy, and even though he didn't want to admit it, Yami was his cousin, and he did care about him. Bakura and Marik, who were pacing back and forth, knew that if Yami and Anzu got married then she would probably stay here and live with them and that was a type of hell that they didn't want to live with. So they stayed in that room and thought and thought but nothing ever came. Yugi began to talk to himself aloud but no one had been close enough to hear him except for Jou since the two were sitting very close.
"How could this happen? We're suppose to be together. We're suppose to love each other. It was meant to be. It was-"
"Destiny" Jou said suddenly with wide eyes.
Everyone looked into Jou's direction. "Huh?" Seto asked.
"That's it! That's it!" Jou said happily.
"What's it Jou?" Ryou asked from his spot on the couch.
"I know what we have to do! I know how to break the spell!" Jou said excitedly.
"How Jou?" Yugi said standing up from his seat.
"Would you just tell us already?" Malik said impatiently.
"Well..."
...
"Of course!" Bakura said slapping his head. Ryou giggled at the other albino's antics causing Bakura to look at him.
"Sorry" Ryou said quickly. Bakura just smirked at how intimidated the young boy was of him sometimes. He wasn't going to lie and say that he didn't enjoy the sense of fear though. He liked being superior. Especially over Ryou.
"I can't believe how obvious it was!" Marik said.
"Are you sure it will work?" Yugi asked, not feeling as optimistic as everyone else was.
"Well has your presence gotten a response from him before?" Seto asked.
Yugi thought back before nodding. "Then it has to work" Jou jumped in.
Yugi still didn't look so sure. "Yugi," Malik said, "I know how you feel. This might not work. But it's possible. You have to have faith. If you and Yami's love for each other is as strong as you say then it should be able to conquer all. Even a magical wish."
Yugi smiled at his friend. It was now or never. "Let's go" Yugi said. Everyone nodded before taking off in various directions. Everyone had there own part to play in the wedding that would take place later in the day so they needed to get ready immediately. Luckily, Yugi was already dressed to be in a wedding.
