Jou: Why are you crying Yuri?

 

Seto: -smacks Jou upside the head- She's obviously upset that this is the last chapter of this story!

 

Yuri: Yeah, I'm going to miss writing this story but to all my readers who are not aware I have started writing two new stories. One called `Closer' and another called `YIB' so if you liked this story then you will probably like at least one of the new ones if not both. Anyways thank you for all the reviews and all the love and what not. And thank you Jou and Seto for all the support!

 

Jou: Sure thing! Anytime!

 

Seto: Yeah, yeah whatever.

 

Yuri: -glares at Seto- So without further delay, here is the last chapter of `Find Me.' Please Enjoy!

 

…Find Me…

 

The sky was a beautiful blue with a few spots of white, cotton candy like clouds spread out here and there. The sun was high in the sky and the waves were crashing gently against the shore. Yami took a deep inhale of his surroundings as he continued to stare up at the sky with his lovely crimson eyes from his spot on the shore. His hands were crossed behind his head to prevent sand from getting his hair as he laid down. When the waves came to the shore, the water would engulf Yami's body from the waist down and then the water would disappear again until another wave came. He took another deep breath and then smiled when the next wave of water hit him, leaving something on his chest.

 

“Hi Yami,” Yugi said happily.

 

“Hello my love,” Yami said looking at the boy lying on his chest.

 

“Did you miss me?” Yugi said tilting his head.

 

Yami laughed. “Of course I did my hikari. You're the light to my soul. Every time you're away from me I miss you because I feel like a part of me is being ripped away as well.”

 

“Awww!” Yugi said cutely. “You didn't have to go and say all that.”

 

Yami smiled. “But it's true.”

 

Yugi leaned down and kissed Yami gently. “I know,” Yugi whispered into Yami's lips.

 

Yugi looked up and Yami leaned his head back when they heard someone cough.

 

“Not to interrupt this revolting cuteness,” Bakura said slightly annoyed. “But do you know where Ryou is Yugi?”

 

Yugi didn't even have to respond when he heard a splash from behind him.

 

“I'm right here, Kura,” Ryou said poking his head out from the water. Malik was standing beside him as well.

 

Bakura walked over to the very edge of the shore and waved Ryou to come over to him. The smaller albino complied and quickly swam over to the shore.

 

“How have you been, Ryou?” Bakura asked when Ryou was close enough to him that he didn't have to yell.

 

“Okay,” Ryou responded but then added: “But I haven't seen you in a few days. It's been really hard.”

 

Bakura nodded. “I know Ryou. These stupid meetings and conventions that Kaiba forces us to go to are getting on my last nerve.”

 

Bakura kneeled down and reached out to caress Ryou hair. After a few moments of silence, Ryou sighed and said: “I hate this Bakura. It's so hard to be away from you so much. It's just…I don't know…it's not fair.”

 

Bakura exhaled deeply. “Life's not fair, Ry, “Bakura said bitterly. “But,” he continued. “If I could, then I would do anything to be with you.”

 

Ryou smiled. “That's really sweet of you.”

 

Bakura smirked and then splashed some water at Ryou. “Well, don't get use to it.”

 

A little further away, Malik stared impatiently at the mansion door and waited for Marik to appear. However, after a few minutes Malik was becoming very pissed off. He turned when someone behind him began to complain loudly.

 

“Real nice! You guys couldn't wait five minutes for me?” Jou said

 

Malik rolled his eyes. “Jou, you were eating. You weren't going to take five minutes.”

 

“Whatever,” Jou said with a glare. The blonde then noticed someone who was standing on the shore and quickly swam towards them.

 

“Seto!” Jou said happily when he reached the brunet.

 

“Hi puppy,” Seto said and Jou blushed at the nickname, which then was followed by laughter from Yugi and Malik.

 

“Shut up!” Jou said directing it at his two friends.

 

“Seto must you call me that?” Jou said quietly.

 

Seto smirked. “Of course. I want everyone to know that you belong to me.”

 

Jou just shook his head and then motioned for Seto to get in the water.

 

“I can't. This is a new suit,” Seto said gesturing at the very expensive looking attire that he wore.

 

Jou frowned. “So you can't hug me? Or kiss me? Even though I haven't seen you in like forever because you always go off to meetings and what not.”

 

Seto groaned. Jou was a master at the guilt trip game. The brunet gently took off his jacket and laid it on the sand before he stepped into the water.

 

“You really do love me!” Jou said playfully pouncing onto Seto once the taller of the two stepped in the water.

 

Seto laughed. “Only for you puppy,” the brunet said playing with the Jou's blonde locks of hair.

 

Jou once again told Yugi and Malik to shut up when more snickers were heard but this time he just added a lot of swearing.

 

After Malik finished making fun of Jou because of the cute nickname, he looked up to see Marik calling him over.

 

“Took you long enough!” Malik said angrily as he approached the other Egyptian.

 

“I'm sorry, I had to take care of some things,” Marik said. “But now I'm here so stop complaining.”

 

Malik glared. “I'm complaining now? Oh I see Marik. I sit here waiting for you everyday and it's my fault right?”

 

Marik rubbed his temples and sighed. “No Malik, it's not your fault but I'm tired and I've missed you so can we not argue?”

 

Malik crossed his arms and looked like he was deep in thought before he huffed out: “Fine.”

 

Marik silently thanked the heavens and then made a motion to sit down on the shore when Malik stopped him.

 

“Wait, you're not coming in?” Malik said with a slight wine.

 

Marik sighed. “Not today Malik. I'm so tired, I might drown if I go in so is it okay if I just sit on the shore and talk to you today?”

 

Malik, for a moment, looked like he was going to explode but then, suddenly, his demeanor changed and he looked happy.

 

“Sure Marik. But before you do, why don't you pull me up and I can sit on the shore with you like Yugi is,” Malik said innocently.

 

Marik nodded and then reached out and clasped Malik's hand only to be pulled forward harshly and fall face first into the cold water.

 

“Opps!” Malik said when Marik sat straight up in the water. The lavender-eyed youth gasped when Marik tackled him into the water thus starting another water fight between the two Egyptians.

 

Ryou, who was watching the two argue, sighed when he saw Malik evilly pull Marik into the water and then made a motion towards them when he sensed another water fight about to occur. These fights were never serious but Ryou always got scared that someone could get hurt.

 

“We should go try and stop them,” Ryou whispered to Bakura.

 

“Why?” Bakura said shrugging his shoulders and leaning back on his hands. “This could be hilarious.” Bakura, unlike his lover, tremendously enjoyed these fights for the humor.

 

Ryou rolled his eyes and swam towards his two friends. Marik was currently holding down Malik's head under water but Malik soon squirmed out and then forced Marik head under water.

 

“Stop,” Ryou said approaching the two, “Someone's going to get hurt so why don't—“

 

Ryou was stopped when Malik pounced on him and took him under water. Bakura made a quick dive in the water to defend his love and Yugi and Yami both took off to prevent Bakura from killing anyone.

 

Bakura got there first though and made a grab for Malik only to be taken down by Yami.

 

“Umm…guys?” Yugi said as he watched everyone wrestle with each other. He yelled out when someone grabbed him by the waist and threw him into the water.

 

Seto and Jou looked on as they both broke out into hysterical laughter.

 

“Shall we?” Seto said with a smirk.

 

Jou nodded. “We shall.”

 

And with that, both the brunet and blonde entered the fight and after a few more minutes of tossing and throwing, everyone finally broke into laughter.

 

“Oh man, did you see when Malik threw Yugi into the water?” Jou said still smiling. “I thought you were a goner.”

 

Yami shook his head. “No, definitely not as funny as when Seto tossed Bakura,” the crimson-eyed boy said only to have water splashed in his face by the albino standing next to him.

 

“Yes, it was without a doubt very funny to watch,” a strange voice said and Yugi snapped his head around to see his grandfather only a few feet away.

 

“Grandpa!” Yugi said in shock and worry only to have the sea king hold up his hand and silence anything that Yugi was going to say.

 

“Don't worry, Yugi. I'm not here to yell at you or anyone else. I came here because…I want you to be happy. As I do Jou, Ryou, and Malik who have been like children to me.”

 

“What do you mean?” Yugi said. The small youth was now standing directly in front of his grandfather.

 

King Solomon was about to respond when he looked up at someone behind Yugi.

 

“I assume this is Yami,” the old man said motioning to the crimson-eyed boy who had now made his way to Yugi and was standing directly beside him.

 

“Yes, grandpa. This is Yami…my fiancé,” Yugi said softly but honestly.

 

King Solomon inspected Yami thoroughly before taking out his hand. “Nice to meet you, Yami. I understand that you wish to marry my grandson.”

 

Yami shook the offered hand and nodded. “Yes I do. I love Yugi very much and I want to spend my life with him.”

 

“Even if you're human and he's not?” King Solomon asked questionably.

 

Yami shook his head and said: “That doesn't matter. I love Yugi because of who he is not what he is. And I will always love him…no matter what.”

 

The sea king took a moment to digest Yami's words and then, to everyone's surprise, smiled.

 

“You're a good man, Yami. You take care of my grandson, you hear?” King Solomon said sternly.

 

Yami smiled. “I will.”

 

Yugi, on the other hand, pounced on his grandfather and hugged him tight. “Oh, thank you grandpa! This means so much to me that you accept this!”

 

“I know,” King Solomon said patting Yugi's hair. “That's why I came. I want you to be happy so...all I need ask you is…would you do anything to be with Yami?”

 

Yugi did not hesitate. “Of course!”

 

King Solomon then looked at Yami. “And you?”

 

Yami nodded. “Anything.”

 

The sea king then looked up at everyone behind them. “And you all? You would do anything to be with each other?”

 

Not to his surprise, everyone nodded.

 

“Very well then,” the king said as he held up his trident as it began to glow a bright orange and yellow.

 

Everyone gasped when the same colors began to encircle them and then, after a moment, it disappeared.

 

Yugi, who had closed his eyes, slowly opened them back up and looked down to see his tail and fins.

 

“Grandpa,” he said sadly. “Nothing happened.”

 

King Solomon shook his head. “I wouldn't say that.”

 

Yugi turned when he heard several people yell out, including Yami, only to see a tail and two fins where Yami's legs use to be.

 

“Yami!” Yugi screamed out clasping his hands around his mouth in shock. “You're…a merman!”

 

Yami continued to look down at his newly acquired form in disbelief. He, along with Seto, Bakura, and Marik, were freaking out.

 

“I can't believe this…” Seto said quietly almost to himself.

 

“You guys did say anything,” King Solomon said but then added: “But don't worry...Yugi go to the shore.”

 

Yugi looked puzzled. “What? Why?”

 

“Just do it,” King Solomon said demandingly.

 

Yugi nodded and slowly made his way to the shore. He looked back and said: “Now what?”

 

“Sit on the shore,” the king said. “So that you're body is completely out of water.”

 

Yugi raised his eyebrows but nevertheless crawled onto the shore so that his tail and fins were completely visible. Yugi then looked back up and said: “What's the point of this?” Moments after he said that, a bright white light flashed causing the smaller boy to close his eyes.

 

He jumped when he heard Jou yell out: “Yuge, look at you!”

 

Yugi did as he was told and almost fainted when he looked down and saw his legs. The small boy instantly jumped up and screamed. “Oh my god! No! No! It can't be! It's impossible!”

 

King Solomon shook his head. “No, it's possible. That wish…the one that Yami made to save your life. He only said that he wished you were a merman again…and you still are…”

 

“What do you mean?” Yugi said.

 

“I made it so when any of you touch water, you turn into mermen. And when you are out of water, you are human. That way, you still are technically a mermaid…but you are a human as well.”

 

Yugi watched as Yami swam over to the shore and mimicked what Yugi had down only minutes earlier. Once he was completely out of the water's reach, a bright white light flashed and when it was gone, Yami had his regular legs back. He stood up and took Yugi into his arms, swinging him around gently.

 

“Oh Yugi I'm so happy right now! This means we can be together! I love you, Yugi! I love you so much!”

 

Yugi smiled as tears escaped his eyes. “I love you too Yami.”

 

Only moments later, everyone else was laughing, and crying, and hugging, and kissing on the shore. Jou, Ryou, and Malik were feeling the same emotions as Yugi and King Solomon looked on with happiness.

 

The king turned to leave only to have someone call out after him. He turned to see Yugi jump in the water and swim towards him.

 

“Grandpa,” Yugi said softly as he hugged the old man. “Thank you…thank you so much,” the amethyst-eyed boy said as he cried quietly into the man's chest.

 

“Look at me Yugi,” the sea king said and didn't continue until Yugi was staring him straight in the eyes. “I love you and I want you to be happy…so go to him…”

 

Yugi looked back to see Yami waiting there patiently.

 

“I'll visit you everyday,” Yugi said with a smile.

 

“I know,” King Solomon said kissing Yugi on his forehead before saying goodbye and disappearing into the sea.”

 

“Yuge! Let's go!” Jou called out from the shore. “We're going to eat to celebrate!”

 

Yugi rolled his eyes as he swam up to the shore and once again his tail and fins got replaced by human legs.

 

Yami was there to embrace him. “We'll be there in a second,” Yugi said.

 

Jou nodded and then turned around and took hold of Seto's hand. “So, what are we going to eat?”

 

Seto laughed. “Your stomach is a bottomless pit, puppy,” the brunet said walking into the mansion with his love close behind him.

 

Malik giggled and then looked up at Marik who was right next to him and said: “You know I love you right?”

 

Marik smirked and placed a chaste kiss on Malik's lips. “Of course I do. And I love you too.”

 

Malik smiled and then punched Marik on the arm. “Don't you ever dunk me under water again. Understand?”

 

Marik laughed. “Yeah okay,” Marik said before pushing Malik to the side and then running inside the mansion, Malik following close behind.

 

“I'm so happy,” Ryou said as he looked at the mansion in front of them. “This is where I belong. Here and with you.”

 

Bakura smiled. “I know,” he said cradling Ryou in his arms and kissing the boy passionately. Ryou wrapped his arms around Bakura's neck and closed his eyes as the taller of the two carried him into the house…his home.

 

Yami and Yugi watched as all of their friends entered the house happily. When they were the only two left on the shore, Yami turned to Yugi and smiled.

 

“So, we can be together in the water and on land now,” the crimson-eyed boy said.

 

Yugi nodded happily. “We can be together all the time.”

 

Yami smiled even more and bent down to kiss his love. Yugi was everything to him. The reason his heart beat, the reason he smiled, the reason he was happy. Yugi was the light to his darkness. And now he could show Yugi how important he was every single day.

 

“Yami, I love you,” Yugi said happily.

 

“I love you too,” Yami replied with a tear escaping his eye.

 

“I'm so happy,” Yugi said nuzzling his face into Yami's neck.

 

“Why?” Yami said caressing Yugi's cheek.

 

“Because you found me,” Yugi said placing a soft, loving kiss on Yami's lips.

 

Yami smiled and picked Yugi up in the same manner that Bakura picked up Ryou.

 

“Shall we, my love?” Yami said playfully.

 

“We shall,” Yugi said as he giggled.

 

Yami smiled as he slowly began to walk to the mansion with his bundle of love in his arms. From that moment on, nothing in the world could separate the four couples in that house. They were meant to be together for the rest of their lives. It was destiny…that they found each other.
