"I'll need you to stand in a straight line, no pushing, no shoving." High Priest Seth said in a bored voice, it was an extremely hot day, and they were nearing the end of a line of anxious virgins that had stretched much farther than he'd expected. "Next," he said, stifling a yawn. A pretty woman stepped up, she might have been impressive, except he'd seen a thousand exactly like her. "Ok, send up the next one."

"Last one," his chief scribe, Adio said.

"Send her up," Seth said listlessly.

The girl walked up the Temple stairs, and entered the room, she was absolutely stunning. She wore a teal dress which clung to her figure, the dress matched her eyes, which were the color of the waters of the beloved Nile River, she had long blonde hair, which shimmered in the fading light. She was thin and graceful, carrying herself with the air of a Goddess. She had arm bands of gold, her skin was bronze and seemed almost to glow, she had soft lips the color of pink lotus flower blossoms, and teeth of pearly white.

"What's your name?" Seth asked, incredulously.

"Chione."

"Chione, quite appropriate" Seth repeated the name to himself, and then he said to her, "You are The Virgin, the one who will appease the Gods. The people of Egypt will speak your name with reverence and awe."

Adio entered the temple, hearing the last words, and he smiled. "Come, we shall show her to the Pharaoh."

"Yes," Seth said, shaking himself out of the trance-like state he had been in. "Yes, we shall go to the Pharaoh now."
