Plot: Yugi's life turned downhill when the one he loved didn't love him back. Now, three years later, Ryou transfers to a different college where Yugi has the reputation as the most ruthless teenager there. Can Ryou bring back the sweet Yugi he knew or is Yugi destined to wander in darkness forever?

"'I don't know, Ryou, I still think a dress would have looked beautiful on you," Anzu teased as she smoothed out the white silk of the tuxedo that her friend was wearing instead of the wedding dress she and Mai had insisted he wear. But Ryou was stubborn and determind NOT to wear a dress. Or else the girls would feel the wrath of his yami.

He fixed the cuffs and shook his head. "I couldn't bring myself to, Anzu, not even if Yugi-chan agreed with you." Ryou blushed a light pink as he sat down to let Mai brush his hair. It was at least three weeks after graduation from university, four years after all that happened that had brought him and Yugi back together. After all, his father had said as long as they got married after graduation. The older man had meant that as a joke of course but his koibito had taken it seriously and proposed to him as soon as the graduation ceremony was over.

"No ribbons or you're dead, Mai!" he threatened.

Mai only laughed and pulled tightly on the clump of silver hair she was brushing, making him yelp at the slight pain. "Alright, alright. No ribbons, promise." She smiled softly, looking at his reflection in the mirror. "I can't believe you and Yugi are finally tying the knot. Who knew? Seems like only a few months ago we were playing Pegasus's sick dual, who knew it would lead to this?"

Ryou fingered the millennium ring he absolutely refused to take off. "I love him with all my heart, even if it took me fourteen months to realize that."

Bakura poked his head into the room and whistled. "Lookin' good," he teased, a grin spreading across as Mai did his aibou's hair up in a high ponytail.

"Bakura, get lost! Don't you know nobody from the groom's side is allowed to see the bride?!" Anzu yelled, looking a little pissed.

"Hey, just came to wish my aibou good luck. He's taking a pretty gutsy step and I'm proud of him." Bakura disappeared, the door closing once more.

Ryou closed his eyes. "Tease."

Yugi stood impatiently between Yami, who was the best man of course, and the priest. Bakura, Jounouchi, Honda and Seto stood in line after Yami. The whole church had been beautifully decorated for their wedding. Violets and other flowers decorated the pews and beautiful arches. All the pews were filled with friends from end to end. The guestbook at the door to the church had been completely filled and put away for the future.

Fighting back another wave of butterflies in the stomach (it could also be called nervousness), Yugi wondered what was taking so long. He'd been waiting forever and Ryou still hadn't appeared. Anzu and the other ladies hadn't allowed him to see Ryou because of some silly tradition of not seeing the bride......er, groom before the wedding. He had thought it was ridiculous but Seto had appeared and dragged him away. He tugged at his tie again only to receive a sharp glare from Yami and turned his attention back to the doors. He smiled.

<"I am happy to announce you all graduates of Domino University!">

The large group of students cheered, finally happy to have no school whatsoever and just glad that it was over and their four years of work had paid off. Yugi joined his friends in their own little corner of the hall only to be run over by his lover. Ryou flung his arms around his neck, wrapping his legs around his waist. Yugi only laughed and kissed him firmly, sliding his tongue between Ryou's lips. They'd returned from Okasawa to spend the university years with the other four and the years that had passed had been good for both of them.

Jounouchi laughed, scratching his neck. "Jeez, look at those two go. They can't be apart for more than an hour!" He leant back into Honda's embrace and the tall brunette nuzzled his chin on top of Jounouchi's head.

Mai laughed. "Now, you two, none of that here. You are in public after all." The two Item holders blushed and Ryou gently lowered himself down from Yugi's chest. Yami chuckled, Bakura leaning on his chest.

"Don't you have something to give Ryou, aibou?" the former pharaoh reminded him, winking. Yugi blinked, smiled, then nodded.

"Yes." He dug around in his pocket before his hand returned palm-upwards. He looked at his silver-haired companion. "As we promised your father, although I don't think he was quite serious." Ryou's eyes widened as his hand was taken from his side and a golden ring was slipped on. "Ryou-chan, you're the most precious thing in my life and I don't want to let you go ever again." Yugi cupped his chin, looking into those sparkling brown orbs. "Marry me?"

"Oh, Yugi-chan, yes! Yes, do you know how long I've been waiting for you to say that?" Yugi laughed, sweeping his lover in for a deep kiss that seemed to last for eternity.........

The wedding march started up and soon the bridesmaids - Anzu, Mai, Isis, Miho and Serenity - appeared. When they were all lined up across from the men, Ryou appeared with his father at his arm. The silver-haired man looked completely happy. They started walking down the aisle, Ryou looking very handsome in his white tux. Yugi smiled as he watched Ryou and his soon-to-be father-in-law walk towards the alter. When they finally reached the alter, the priest asked "Who is giving away the groom?"

"I am," Ryou's father said, nodding as he turned to his son, smiling before taking his place in the pews. Ryou stepped up to the alter and took his place beside Yugi who smiled warmly before turning his attention back to the priest. Before Yugi knew it, he was given permission to kiss his new husband and did it with renewed energy, earning a cheer from the guests, friends and graduates. They were finally together permanently and no one was going to tear them apart.........

Yugi carried his silver-haired husband out of the elevator and into the apartment Seto had provided for them at the end of the reception. Everything had gone fantastically, Yami and Bakura's band [1] had made everyone dance their hearts out and Yugi was sure he'd have blisters on his feet in the morning. Jounouchi had gotten drunk half-way through and had to be taken home by Honda, who apologized on his blonde love's behalf. Mai and Anzu had stayed however through the entire reception (Mai was watching her alcohol in-take, Anzu had said).

Once he got into the bedroom, he layed Ryou down on the large bed and brushed some silver hair from those tired brown eyes.

"Aishiteru, Yugi-chan." Ryou's eyes finally closed and he fell into a deep sleep.

The other half of the former pharaoh climbed on beside him and drew him in, smiling when Ryou snuggled closer. "Aishiteru zutto [2], Ryou-chan." Yugi joined him in the dream realm.
