Friendship & Love
A fist collided into Joey's cheek as his father hit him, causing him to stumble backwards into the apartment door. "You’re not going any where!" His father exclaimed with a drunken slur to his voice as he drew closer to Joey for another punch to the face. To prevent this from happening Joey grabbed his shoes & opened the door rushing out of it. As he ran he could hear his fathers, alcohol consumed, voice yelling & fading out as distance grew between them.
Finally being able to stop & catch his breath Joey arched his back, leaning over. Placing one hand on his lower thy, the other on the building he was next to him; for support. Once rested & able to breath somewhat normally again, Joey straightened himself back up with his hands on his hips. Walking, he began to talk to himself.
"Man! I hope Kaiba's not mad I'm late." He rubbed his now swollen cheek, wincing at the touch. "I should ‘ave never stopped at home!" Sighing he calmed himself down & looked at a large building ahead of him. The letters ‘KC’ were visible from where he was, miles away. "I guess I better hurry it up if I want to get there at all." His pace would reluctantly quicken to a run in no time, as he hurried himself along.
Joey had been going to Kaiba's for a good two weeks now. ‘Cause of a negotiation Joey was tricked into. Kaiba had found a way to beat Yugi Moto & destroy his name as duel monsters champion. But his attraction for Joey was something he could fiddle with.
~(How they made the deal)~
"What?!" Joey slammed his hands down, outraged, upon the desk that Kaiba was slyly sitting behind, smirking. "What do ya mean you found a why to bet Yugi & his god cards?! That's impossible!" Joey exclaimed staring at Kaiba with shocked, widened eyes & gritted teeth.
Kaiba just smirked as he sat back in his leather office chair reclining, enjoying the blonde haired boys reaction to the news. "Actually," he began with a sinister tone, resting his elbows on the chairs arm rests while interlocking his hands together under his chin. "It is possible." Pushing a button on a small remote, that was near by, made an overhead screen begin to drop from the ceiling. "I would explain it to you...but that would just be a waist of my time. So I'll show you instead." The screen fully dropped with Joey's eyes on it, Kaiba pushed another button on the small remote.
Suddenly the screen showed a picture of Kaiba (On the right) & Yugi (On the left) along with a bunch of graphs that Joey didn’t understand. ‘I’ve got ta pay attention in school more instead of sleepin.’ He thought as everything was calculated.

Once finishing, the picture of Yugi shatter into pieces falling off the screen. A computer voice filled the room, “Yugi Moto defeated.” All that could be heard after that was cocky chuckles escaping from Kaiba’s closed lips.
Joey whorled back around to face Kaiba with a smirk. “Ya rely on calculation & computers to much, Kaiba.” He grinned at the, now frowning, CEO. “How do ya know Yugi doesn’t have a new trick up his sleeve, or if somethin’ ‘ill back fire?”
After staring at Joey for a moment Kaiba jerked his shoulders upward once with a ‘hump’, closing his eyes, turning his chair to the side. “Although computers do have malfunctions..” He paused opening his eyes. “..these that you see here, don’t. They’re 100% correct when it comes to winning or losing.” He shot Joey a death glare. Inviting him to question his computers again. “You Got that, Mutt?”
Joey flinched at the glare, it wasn’t the first time he was given it but it still gave him the creeps. Finally, doing something smart for once, he let the subject be & moved onto why he was here. “Did ya tell me to come here because you wanted me to know you could beat Yugi in a duel? Why don’t you just do it? Then I’d know along with everyone else that you’re just not big mouthin’ again.”
“But that would take all the fun out of my idea.” Kaiba said standing up from his chair.
“Your.. your idea?” Joey questioned as he watched Kaiba move from behind the desk while explaining.

“Yes, my idea.” He ran his finger over the desktop as he walked. “I’ll make you a deal. If you become my pet, I’ll leave Yugi’s title alone. So you & your nerd fest can go on those wild adventures of yours, or-“ Kaiba paused again as he stood infront of Joey & lend their faces closer. “I can show who the true #1 duelist is.”
Joey took a step backwards, Kaiba followed with a step forward. He looked into Kaiba’s sapphire eyes, nervously, as he began to sweat & blush lightly. He had always had a strange attraction to Kaiba. He guessed it was the way he always took control... or maybe the turtle necks...

Kaiba’s eyes grew more intimidating by the second, as he asked. “What ’ll it be, Wheeler?” with a husky voice.
Joey scrambled through his head for an answer, finally blurting out a confused “Fine!”

Kaiba smirked, knowing he was going to get that answer. Straightening up he smugly looked at the still confused blonde before speaking one last time. “Come here after your done with work tomorrow. We’ll go from there.”
~(Back to now)~
Joey stood at the front gates of the Kaiba Corp, trying to catch his breath as best he could. He felt like he was going to explode. His cheek hurt, his chest felt like it was going to cave in, & he really didn’t want to see Kaiba, fearing that the CEO would be mad since he was late. All he wanted to do was plop down on his bed- or any bed- & drift into a deep sleep. After getting something to eat of course.
Startling him, the gate opened. He walked in unbalanced, his legs threatening to give way.
Reaching the room where Kaiba awaited him Joey punched in the code to the high-tech door, allowing him to enter.
Walking in, he only saw Kaiba’s back. The CEO was standing in front of a wall of windows behind his desk. “You’re late, Mutt.” Kaiba hissed not moving.

Joey truly didn’t want to be here. After having a lousy day at school & at work, on top of his drunken father slugging him, the one thing he didn’t need was Kaiba’s audited. He usually enjoyed coming. He got to know the CEO a bit better realizing he wasn’t a complete asshole after all.
“Sorry ‘bout that, Kaiba.” Joey apologized in between pants. “I got off early today so I stopped by my place to change &-“
“Quite!” He was cut off by Kaiba’s angered voice, flinching at the cold tone. He was quite, as commanded to be. He stared at the floor waiting for orders from Kaiba, or for him to break the tensed silence that consume the room thickly.
Kaiba turned the upper part of his body to where he could see Joey while opening his mouth the scolded him. But after seeing the blond’s swollen cheek, & the pained, frustrated, tired, ‘just get it over with’ look on his face, Kaiba’s mouth closed. Instead he hurried slowly over to him, worried, but not letting it show.
“What happened, pup?” He asked trying to get a better look at Joey’s tattered face while getting closer to him.
”Just the old man again.” Jyonouchi grind that goofy grind he always had on when he tried to hide something. “Don’t worry ‘bout it. I’ve had worse ya know! Haha! I can take care of myself! Oh yeah!” He began to strike random macho poses as Kaiba approached.

Looking down at the ridiculous smile upon Joey’s face made Kaiba roll his eyes & suppress a smile along with a chuckle. Standing in front of Joey he placed a hand, lightly, on the blond’s hurt cheek.

Joey flinched at the touch, breaking his smile, before letting his head tilt into the warm embrace of Kaiba’s palm, caressing the pain lightly away. His eyes slowly closed as both teens took a step towards each other, touching bodies.
Joey placed his head upon Kaiba’s chest, his heartbeat tucked under his ear. Kaiba’s right arm moved around Joey’s shoulder, his hand laid on the back of Joey’s head, massaging through the boy’s gold locks soothingly. His other arm was pressing Joey to him from around the waist.

Joey relaxed in the arms of Kaiba. He had never been held like this before. It felt nice to be able to hear a heart drum under your ear, let alone a warm loving embrace that was willing to hold you until unnecessary. Joey had never felt this before. His mother had left with his little sister when he was young & his dad was nothing but a gambling drunk. He had friends but they would never hold him like this.
Kaiba leaned down a little to lap the top of Joey’s ear & nibbled the cartilage lightly. He got a soft moan from the blond.
