Yu-Gi-Oh! Fan Fiction ❯ From the Eyes of Evil ❯ Chapter 1
[ T - Teen: Not suitable for readers under 13 ]
Author's Note: I went to Anime North this weekend. I bought a lot of random crap I really don't need, such as an Atashi plushie. I also spent a lot of money on the first box of the YYH dvds, which makes me happy. I just need the 2 Dark Tournament Parts, which I'll get eventually. I spent $250 CDN this weekend. Tons of fun. I still love strawberry pocky. Please remember to review, I like reviews. If anyone here used to read "The Songstress", email me at geo_gurl008@hotmail.com, or if you just want to chat. Thanks all!

"Uh, hello? Miss Frost?" a young woman spoke as she peered through the door. She had long, dark hair, dark eyes, and tanned skin. The woman at the desk looked up at her, and then returned to the paperwork in front of you. The darker woman took a few steps forward and bowed. "Miss. Frost, I apologize for interrupting you, but your 2 o'clock appointment is here to see you." This time the woman at the desk nodded and waved the girl away. "As you wish . . . " she said before leaving the room.
Petra Frost sighed and put her papers back into her desk. "Guess I can finish those later. I still don't see why he'd have interest in a simple diamond company, albeit a very wealthy one." She sighed again and brushed her silver hair behind her deathly pale ears. Her ice blue eyes moved to the door as a tall man walked in. She did a quick scan of him before welcoming him to her office. He was 18 years old, 6'1", and very handsome. His eyes were azure and his hair a nice shade of brown. He seemed cold, and didn't smile much as he sat down. "Well, Mr. Kaiba, what brings you to my humble office?" He glanced at you before looking around the office. It was very red, with warm light coming from wall lamps. There were no windows, no natural light. Just the red. Petra looked at him expectantly with her eyebrows raised, waiting for him to answer the question.
"I understand that your company manufactures diamond, yes?" he began. Petra nodded. Kaiba flipped through the file in front of him. "Petra Frost, age unknown, the owner of the diamond manufacturing company, Frost Inc.? Tell me, how old are you?" She laughed to herself before grabbing the file cautiously from him. "Mr. Kaiba, it is rude to ask a woman her age. And why have you been researching me? I haven't done anything suspicious, have I?" Kaiba narrowed his eyes. "Why are there no records of your age, family, or anything of the sort? It's like you just appeared here. Tell me, Miss. Frost, if that is your real name, who are you?" She laughed again.
"I am just that. My name is Petra Frost. I'm 17 years old, and, obviously, the head of this company. I am also under the witness protection program, which is why there are no records of me. Well, that, and my father is an extremely wealthy man and for people to find his only daughter. . . . It could be a very bad thing," she replied to the young man sitting in front of her. He narrowed his eyes, but nodded regardless. "Now that we're done with that, can we get back to business?" Petra asked in her soft and delicate voice. He nodded again.
"Of course, Miss Frost. I am interested in purchasing a large quantity of diamond for use in my new duel disk system. I heard from one of my contacts that the diamond you manufacture is the purest around. I will need to buy 9 000 000 carats of raw diamond for use in this," he said. Petra blinked and then took out a chart. She ran her finger over it and then looked up at him.
"Mr. Kaiba, you do realize that our raw diamonds sell for $1 000 per carat, right? If you want it pure, of course." He nodded. Petra looked back at the chart and then back to Mr. Kaiba. "The means it'll be about $900 000 000, right?" He nodded again. "Well then," Petra's voice squeaked, as she took out a form and pushed it toward him, "Just fill out this form and we'll get right on it. If you'll excuse me, Mr. Kaiba, I need to quickly speak with one of my associates." She left the room, leaving Mr. Kaiba with the form. He quickly filled it out, making sure to get every detail, and then put it on the desk. It was made of mahogany. On her desk were many papers, a chart, a picture and a small figurine. Upon closer inspection, he realized that it was a woman biting the neck of a man, carved out of diamond. Mr. Kaiba frowned, and then picked up the picture. There was a man with dark red hair, blood red eyes, and a very sturdy build, standing in a suit of the same red as his hair, that went down to his shoulders. Standing beside him was a woman. She had long, wavy black hair, and very black eyes. She wore a medieval gown, adorned with rubies and onyx, that was black and red also. In front of the two, sitting on a throne, was a small girl with the same eyes and hair as Petra. She was wearing a small blue and white frock, glittering with diamonds. The picture was very aged, he could tell, but there was something else odd about it. It was then Kaiba realized that it was a scan of a portrait.
"What are you doing?" said the voice behind him. He set the picture down and walked out of the office, handing Petra the form on the way out. She narrowed her eyes, but still remembered to be courteous. "Thank you for your business. . . . " she began as he left, "Mr. Seto Kaiba. . . . "
