Brief little guide: {{Yami to Yugi}} {Yugi to Yami}

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Yugi stepped inside the small house he and Yami lived in. It was time to put the plan into action. If Malik and Marik were correct in saying that Yami would get jealous and show him how he really loved him, then Yugi would have to make Yami as jealous as possible.
"Yugi is that you?" the spirits' voice rang through the house.
Yugi shed the school jacket he was wearing and proceeded to walk towards the source of the dark's voice, "hai Yami-Sama."
He heard noise coming from his room and peeked inside to see Yami sitting on the bed, staring at a book of drawings. Yugi gasped as he recognized the book as his own, "what are you doing with that?" he questioned.
Yami stared at the picture before looking up at Yugi, "when...did you draw these?"
Yugi shrugged and sat down on top of his desk, "various times. I drew the last one in there three nights ago. I mostly started drawing after you started hurting me."
The little Hikari had no idea why he and his alter ego where having this discussion. Yami had never really cared about his works before so why start now?
Yami himself didn't know why his interest was peaked by seeing his hikari's sketchbook. It had just intrigued him greatly. He had flipped through the pages in awe for he saw what an incredible artist the little one really was.
And all of Yugi's drawings were of himself, Seto, or Yami. Lots of times, he drew him and Yami on the same page...together and happy. All of his drawings held meaning, of course.
But the quality of the drawings varied, and not with skill level improvement either.
The pictures he drew of Yami were the best; superior to all of the other drawings. He always drew Yami in a king's outfit...it was as though he made the ex-pharaoh rule over all of his sketches. Even though Yami was a Pharaoh in the past, it didn't mean he would wear a royal outfit every day.
An ordinary person would draw a person in an outfit that they wore the most; their favorite outfit.
But not Yugi
Yugi didn't see his Yami wearing the regular leather pants and muscle shirt that everyone else saw him in. He saw his true self, true outfit...that of a king. So in every picture of Yami...the spirit would wear a different type of Pharaoh Attire.
The pictures of Seto were not as well done as the pictures of Yami. They were a little blotchy and some small erase marks were evident on the paper. Other than that they were perfect.
Then there were the pictures of him, of Yugi. They were dirty and poorly drawn. He drew himself as a slave most of the time. It grubby cloths, mussed up hair, and dirt covering him. The pages were full of scratch and eraser marks.
"Why do you portray yourself as this?" Yami questioned.
Yugi raised an eyebrow, "isn't that how you portray me?" he replied.
Yami shook his head. "You always call me a slave. You say you are the master. So that is how it is in my eyes. You are the mighty king and I am your worthless slave."
The spirit smiled sadly and looked at the book again, "why do you draw us together? Like this, I mean," he asked, holding a particular picture. It was of him and Yugi holding hands and laughing happily.
Yugi looked down, "that is nothing more than a wish..." he hung his head in a defeated manner and a few tears rolled down his cheeks.
{{Aibou, why do you cry?}} Yami asked sincerely through the mind-link.
"It's nothing, Yami-Sama." He lifted his head to stare at the dark one, putting on a fake smile, "I-I have some good news, actually."
{{Really? What?}}
Yugi was surprised that his dark half was being so polite and was actually interested in what he had to say. "Well, I was talking to Seto today..." he stopped as a slight crease mark made its appearance on Yami's forehead.
"And, um, well...we decided to go out," he finished.
{{Go out? As in... a date?}}
Yugi looked uncertain for a moment before answering yes to the question. Yami's expression was thoughtful for a second after the given answer. His eyes soon turned cold after that, "I forbid it," he stated simply.
Yugi's eyes widened, "e-excuse me?" he stuttered.
"I forbid it," the spirit repeated, lying down on the bed as an action signaling that the discussion was finished.
The petite boy frowned, "Yami, I don't appreciate telling me that I cannot date Seto."
Yami got up and walked over to his Hikari, slapping the boy across the face, "I think it is time you remembered your place in this house, little one...I may just kick you out of here if you remain with this attitude. You're forgetting who works, who pays the bills, who keeps this family running. If you keep running this path, I will make sure your name is kicked off this family tree!"
Yugi's eyes widened slightly, //Marik and Malik said he would be nicer if I got him jealous. Maybe he doesn't love me like they said...maybe he really doesn't like me//
"-So I say it again, you are not allowed to date Seto...and because of the bad influence he seems to be having on you I don't think you she see him any more as a friend either," he added smugly, crossing his arms and smirking slightly.
The small boy's eyes widened anymore, "b-but I don't have anyone else besides Seto... n-no one..."
Yami's red orbs sharpened, "what do you mean `you have nobody else'? You have me, and you always will," he declared.
The Hikari's eyes twitched. How could Yami say that he was there for him when he was the cause of all of the problems to begin with? "You don't know what you're talking about? When the hell have you ever been there for me? You were never there, Yami! You, you are such a hypocrite! How can you even say that to me? After all the times you've hurt me...and I've put up with it! I've put up with your beatings, your raping, all of your emotional abuse! A-and now you're telling me I can't see the only person who does truly care about me! I--"
He paused and looked down a minute, eyebrows knitting together. After a moment he raised his head to complete his sentence.
"I hate you, Yami."
And the surprising thing was, he wasn't doing it for what Malik or Marik told him...he really meant it.
It was Yami's turn to gape in a wide-eyed manner. He flopped back on the bed and stared into nothingness, "you hate me?" he whispered.
Yugi didn't say anything. Instead, he walked over to his closet and took out a few pairs of clothes, stuffing them in a small duffel bag as well. He walked over to Yami and wrapped his arms around him comfortingly, "I'm going over to Seto's. I probably won't be coming back. I'm sorry things had to come to this, Yami."
Yami didn't look up, "you hate me," he whispered again.
The small boy turned and walked out of the room, not looking back. For if he did, he knew his the final piece hanging onto his heart would fall of and his resolve to leave would dissolve instantly.
Walking down the street, he began to think that...maybe him and Seto did have a future together and that...maybe he would finally find happiness in those arms that were always open for him...
