He knew he wasn't just hearing things. It was too loud. Too clear to be anything but his name. His Seto was calling for him. He ran back to the door and flung it open. He was greeted with a heart breaking sight. Seto was fully asleep. But, in his sleep, he was reaching out, as if he was trying to grab at something. Then the hand recoiled, as if it had been burnt.

The boy tossed. “No. Not him. I'll behave. I promise.” Terror danced across the boy's face. Pegasus knelt on the bed, softly trying to wipe the sweat from Seto's brow. For a second, the boy seemed to calm, then he cried out again. “Leave him alone. I'll do whatever you want. Just don't hurt Pegasus anymore! I'll be good. I'll be good...”

Pegasus felt the boy stiffen. He knew Seto would be waking soon. He wondered what the boy was dreaming about. Whatever it was, he was in it. He was involved and Seto was trying to stop something terrible from happening to him.

With an explosive shout of “Maximillion!” Seto bolted upright. The teen was breathing hard. He was starting to shake. Pegasus leaned forward to pull his angel to him.

“I'm right here Seto. I'm right here.” The boy was still shaking badly. When he looked down, he could see the threat of tears. “Bad dream?“ He asked. It was a rhetorical question. Seto answered by shaking his head mutely. He was too scared to speak at the moment. That, or he didn't wish to talk about it. Pegasus had a feeling it was a bit of both.

“You know, talking about it might help. They might go away.” He suggested, preparing himself for when his angel would inevitably shove him away. He wasn't prepared for what Seto said.

“He said he was coming back to get me.” Pegasus had never heard Seto's voice more fragile and scared. Not even when the boy had been a child. “He told me so. He says I still belong to him.” Pegasus knew who the him in question was. Gozaburo had really done a number on the poor boy. “He was going to kill you if I didn't...If I didn`t--” The boy trailed off.

Pegasus held Seto tighter. The words Seto had muttered during that horrible dream came back to him. The boy would have gone back to that torture. Gone back just to keep him alive. His angel would have endured torment to keep him safe from a ghost.

“Seto.” He murmured. “He's dead. He can't hurt me.” He let his hands wonder into the boy's soft hair. Yet another thing he loved about Seto. He was getting addicted to running his fingers thought those chestnut tresses. Yet, he still fully expected Seto to push him away.

Instead, Seto reached forward to clutch his shirt. The teen buried his face in the fabric. He could hear the muffled sobs. He could feel the wetness of the boy's tears through the fabric. His angel was crying.

Pegasus held the boy, trying to comfort him. It was starting to get difficult to concentrate on the task at hand though. Seto was so close. He was holding the love of his life. And to make it worse, he was doing so on a bed. But, he wouldn't let himself be aroused by the situation. It was inappropriate to try and jump someone who was having an emotional breakdown. He had to content himself with this for the moment.

They sat there for some time like that. Seto sobbed silently into Pegasus's shirt as the man held him. He felt safe like this. Safe and secure. And loved. He knew Pegasus would let him remain like this, but he still tried to stop from crying. He found that he couldn't.

“I'm sorry.” He muttered, voice cracking under the strain of crying. He shifted so he could look up at Pegasus's handsome face. “They just won't stop.” He scrubbed away the tears with the back of his hand. Sure enough, as soon as he had wiped his eyes, more were spilling out, trailing down already tear-stained cheeks.

“There's nothing to be sorry about, my angel. There's absolutely nothing wrong with a good cry.” He tried to pull the boy even closer than before, it that was possible. Though this was breaking his heart, Pegasus was going to make sure Seto got this out of his system. He had a feeling that the boy hadn't cried, ever.

His angel graced him with a watery smile before he dissolved into tears once again. “That's right, Seto.” He whispered to the boy. “Just let it all out. I'm not going anywhere.” On an impulse, he brushed a light kiss to the top of the boy's hair. He knew Seto was too busy to notice.

Pegasus was surprised when the soft sobbing finally ended. He was even more surprised by the even breaths hitting his wet shirt. The teen had cried himself to sleep. His heart stirred. His angel had fallen asleep in his arms. He knew he should leave, but thought better of it. Moving would just wake Seto up again. So he was stuck there now. Stuck, laying in a bed with the man he loved. He couldn't help but glance down at the boy sleeping in his arms. So handsome, so vulnerable, and so his. Even if Seto didn't know it yet, today had definitely made Pegasus want the boy more.

He shifted, trying to get comfortable without losing any of the control he was already fighting for. Now all he had to do was sleep. Morning would come sooner or later. Hopefully sooner. Pegasus didn't know if he could come up with enough unappetizing thoughts to get him through the night. “Margaret Thatcher in a bikini.” He whispered to himself. Then he smiled. “You have no idea what you do to me, my Seto.” He rested his chin on the boy's head. “Winston Churchill in a thong.” He muttered, before joining his angel in dreamland.
