Hearts of Fire Chapter 8

Summary: O/C`s are formally introduced. The last player? is introduced. The story behind what is going on now
is told.

Author`s note: Thanks to all those who are reading this. I would love to know what you all think. But so far
no one has reviewed. Let me know how I`m doing, good or bad. If you would like to see more lemons let me
know that as well. I hope everybody knows who most of the pairings are. Suggestions or flames welcome. I`m
new at this and would love any and all input. One last thing. Wolf has sky blue eyes and is the same height
as Joey. He has blond hair that is longer than Joey`s but shorter that Otogi`s. Rick has black hair and sky
blue eyes. He is the same height as Seto. Lyn has blond hair and blue-green eyes and is the same height
as Joey.

Pairings: Ryou/Bakura/Marik, Joey/Otogi/Seto(not yet Seto is being a pain), Yami/Yugi/? (you`ll find out
soon) Rick/Wolf/Lyn (yes I know she is a girl).





After they arrived at the mansion, Seto directed everyone into the den to wait for the other member of this
Three. The wait wasn`t long, she appeared with Tristen a minute after they entered the den.

Yugi smiled at Tristen. "Hey Tristen."

"Hey Yugi."

"If this is everyone that is involved I suggest that you three tell us what is going on." Seto demanded.

"Of course, where would you like us to begin?" Asked Rick.

Yami spoke up. "Tell us the name of this person and why he is after my power."

Wolf gave a feral grin."He`s always been after the pharoah`s power. I don`t think he knows of anything other
than power and lust."

"Could we get on with this." Seto moaned.

"Of course. I am Lyn. I was known as Anubiset. Named after Anubis because of people fearing me sending them
to Anubis. I came to Egypt when the world of monsters was breached. I found that humans had gained shadow
magic once again and were using the monsters in duels. I stayed there. At the palace from the beginning of
the Shadow Duels to the end. I had been asleep for five thousand years prior to that. Strong magic is the
only thing that can awaken me. During my time prior to Egypt I had found Rick and Wolf, I made them immortal.
We have bonded souls. They were outcasts among the living world prior to that. Rick is a vampire, due to
his bonding with me he has no threat to himself now, he may roam day or night. He still does not need to
breath and still requires blood, but he no longer has to deal with the effects of blood lust. Wolf is a
werewolf. He no longer changes because of the moon cycles or his emotions. He changes at will. However,
strong emotions sometimes cause his tail and ears to pop out and his nails to grow. We were allowed to stay
at the palace because of our magical powers. But we were feared the general public. So we stayed inside,
except at night. We would roam then. We helped all the paharoah`s learn how to harness thier shadow powers.
We stayed because we knew that the shadow magic could become to much for humans to control once again. We
also knew that great magic attracted power hungry fools. Such as Torgo. I am unsure what his true name is,
nor do I care. He called himself by that name so I used it. He manipulated many people at the palace after
Atemu or Yami took the throne. He was able to cast spells on people to make them do his bidding. We
eventually intercedded. He was causing deaths among the common people by using shadow magic. The monsters
could not handle the guilt of killing innocents so we caught him and his accomplise. They were brought before
the High Councel and the common people to decide their fate. His wife or accomplise was sentenced to death.
Many of the commoners had watched as she killed their children, wives, husbands, brother, sisters. She killed
without discrimination. She was heartless in her kills, making each one suffer before their final breath. For
that people called for her death. We granted it. Torgo was not directly involved in the killing and the
counsel called for him to have his body destroyed and his soul sent to the shadows were the monsters could
also have thier vengence for what he forced them to do."

"That was a lot of information. But why would he come after all of us?" Seto asked.

"Would you like for us to go over each one of your roles in his final demise? It could take all night." asked
Lyn.

"Yes, we all need to know why he is coming after each of us." Said the pharoah.

"I hate to say this, but I agree with the pharoah." Bakura put in while holding Ryou and Marik close.

"Very well, Wolf would you tell the Thief King of his role, you were his friend. Rick can tell Seto, Joey
and Otogi of theirs, since he spent more time with them. I will take Yami, Yugi and Tristen. I believe
Tristen may have some trouble with believing this. He has not been having the dreams as of yet." Lyn waved
for Wolf to begin.

"Where would you have me begin, my thief king?"

"How we know each other. Then go from there."

"Very well. First thing is first, you`re soul was split long before Egypt. Ryou in the reincarnation of one
of your lovers from Egypt and even before. I`m unsure about when and how your soul was split apart but you
and he have always found each other. Your other lover is by your side as well. Ryou was named Ry. Marik
was Malik. Of course your name was Kura."

"You mean the nickname we came up for Bakura was his name?"

"Yes it was."

"You hadn`t remembered that or you didn`t tell us?" Asked Ryou.

"I remembered, but I was unsure of the two of you. You seemed close to me but the main thing I remembered was
the dungeons and my town being destroyed, the hate I felt because of that."

Wolf spoke up. "That makes sense, being in the shadow realm can cuase you to loose some of yourself. Your
main thoughts upon entering the ring would have been revenge for what was done to you. I remember you
screaming about how all would eventually pay for what was done to you. You blamed the pharoah for what the
guards did to you and your lovers. You were the last, Ry died in the dungeons. He became severly ill from
the rapings and beatings, lack of food and water, no blankets on cold nights. He died first, then Malik died.
He couldn`t hang on much longer than Ry. You were the last, I believe the only thing that kept you alive was
the need for vengence."

"If you knew what was happening why didn`t you stop it?"

"Because you are needed in this time. If I had saved you, you would have never been reunited with Ry and
Malik. The Gods planned on having your soul destoyed. It was either let them lock you away in the ring or
never have Ry and Malik by your side again. It would have also meant that Ry`s soul would be lost in limbo
forever. Never to see you or his other love. Would you have honestly wanted that to happen to him? Limbo
is very painful and he would have been there for all eternity because of your soul being devoured."

Bakura held Ryou tighter. "No, I need him. I need both of them."

Wolf nodded. "As they need you."

Bakura buried his face in Ryou`s hair and pulled Marik closer. "Go on."

"Shadow magic was around before you were born. However the pharoah decided that certain objects needed to be
created, that was about six years after you were born. One of the High Priests was sent out to preform the
ritual. He took the worst guards the palace had, ones that cared for nothing but the pay. The High Priest
gave the order that all those in your village were to be destroyed. I found out what he was doing. But it
was too late for me to do more than make sure that you lived. I placed a spell on you so that they wouldn`t
see you. Your father had found out what I was, but he was the first person outside of the pharoah and the
High Priests that didn`t look at me with fear. For that I owed him. I told him I would watch over you if
anything ever happened to him. I keep my promises. I couldn`t interfer directly, so I had to be careful of
what I did. I couldn`t go to you and help you but I could make it so that you could help yourself. Which I
did."

Bakura looked at him."I seem to remember you though."

"Yes, I spoke to you on many occasions. You believed I was another thief with valuable information. The thief
that taught you and took you in, he was someone who owed me a favor."

"But he was the former Thief King?"

"Yes he was. He got that title with my help. He was a lover of mine for a while. I helped him get his title
and he agreed to let me name his prodigy."

"So I was taken in because of you?"

"Not entirely, he watched you for several weeks before he made the final decision. But you showed potential.
So he took you in."

"So he had the final say?"

"More or less. I picked you out, he watched you, and you had the potential."

"Good. I`d hate to think that he took me in just because someone told him to."

"No he would never do that. He saw in you himself. He made the decision to take you in. He raised you as his
own. He loved you like he would a son. You were his son in his eyes. He would have died for you and he did.
I`m sure you remember that. But I`m getting ahead of myself. Aren`t I?"

"Yes tell me when I met Ryou and Marik."

"You had just turned thirten. Your father had told you you could have whatever you wanted. He took you to a
small village close to the city, where many thieves went to buy slaves and other neccessaties. Like information
and such. You were walking around the village with him when you saw Ry. You couldn`t take your eyes off of him
and you seemed to be in a haze. He asked you if you wanted him. You weren`t sure if it was okay. The rest of
the gang that you were growing up in all preferred women over men, but you did not. He told you that what
ever you did was fine by him. He would never shun you for who you preferred to be with. Man or woman. So you
told him that you wanted him. Your father took you to the orphanage that he lived in and he bought him for you.
You were ecstatic. You wanted this beauty for yourself and you had him. Ry was nervous about going with you,
but he did. He would cuddle up with you at night and you would have a hard time sleeping next to him without
touching him but you did. About three weeks later he begged you to take him to see a friend of his that he
could only see once a month on the full moon. You agreed to his request and took him to a secluded spot not
far from the village he lived in. That was the first time you saw Malik. You immediately fell for him, the
way you had with Ry. But Ry and Malik seemed to have eyes for only each other. You found out that Ry and Malik
had promised themselves to each other. You wanted them but you would not force them to go against their word
to each other. So on Ry`s fifteenth birthday you took him to met with Malik. You left them alone. Little did
you know that both of them wanted you as well."

"That means that we all loved each other even then?" asked Ryou.

"Yes, you three have loved each other for a very long time."

"Continue." Bkaura demanded.

"Very well. But could I get something to drink first?"

Seto handed him a glass of water. He gulped it down and turned back to Bakura.

"Well while you were gone they did give themselves to each other. When you came back they were still naked,
laying in the sand on a blanket. You asked Ry if he was ready to leave. They told you that Ry had one final
request for his birthday. You asked what it was. You were upset because you believed that neither of them
wanted you the way you wanted them. You were proved very wrong that night. Ry had asked you to come and sit
with them. You did and Ry and Malik moved over to you. They kissed you and told you that Ry`s final request
that you take them both and make them yours. Malik asked that you to let him stay with the two of you. You
gladly granted thier request and took both of them that night. Then you took Malik with the both of you back
home. Your father was surprised at the new arrival but said nothing. He took it in stride that you wanted both
of them. And he would never deprive you of that. Malik and Ry became excellent thieves. Ry could lure any
man in with his looks and naive air about him. Malik could steal a man blind while flirting with him. You were
very proud of both of them. Your father was as well. You loved them more than anything. One night a guard found
Ry and Malik making out in an alley and told them that they either gave in to him or he would throw them both
into the dungeon and let all the guards have their fun with them. He wasn`t alone and there were to many for
Ry and Malik to take by themselves. The guards raped both of them and left them in the alley. You found them
there the next day. You were pissed beyond belief but you couldn`t do anything until you had taken care of them.
So you took them back home and cleaned their wounds and had the healer help you. Everyone at the hideout
stayed away from you, you beyond mad and they could all tell. Your father tried to talk you out of going after
the guards until they were healed but you wouldn`t listen. He followed you that night. He knew that you were
to mad to have thought of a decent plan. That was the night he died for you and you became the new Thief King."

Bakura held up his hand to stop him. "I can`t believe that I had forgotten so much."

"Are you starting to remember all of this?" Marik asked

"Yes. Are either of you?"

Ryou sniffled. "Yeah, I am."

Marik pulled him tighter into their arms. "I am too."

"Should I continue?"

Bakura held onto them. "Yes."

"When you went back you told everyone what happened. Surprisingly no one blamed you and they all recoginized
you as the new Thief King. Your fathers best friend came to you and told you that we all made mistakes and
that we had to learn from them. You had just gotten your last lesson from your father. One he hoped you
would make the most of. Then he informed you that your lovers had been asking for you. They were upset when
they had heard that you had went after the guards. You went straight there and stayed with them until they
were better. You rarely came out of your chamber and many began to worry about you. Finally your fathers
best friend whom you called uncle came to see you. He found out that you and your lovers had spent all that
time figuring out a way to make the pharoah pay for all that he had done to you and your families. You see
Ry was an orphan because his family was killed by guards for treason. Malik`s family was forbidden to see
the light of day by order of the pharoah. It no longer mattered that that pharoah wasn`t in power, you three
planned on making the heir pay for his fathers crimes. No one blamed any of you and they all fell in line
to help with the plans. You three refused and asked that all the others stay away from it. It the plan
failed it would mean a fate worse than death and none of you wanted the others to put thier lives on the line
for you. You stole the body of the former pharoah and drug it to the palace, demanding justice for his crimes.
Ry and Malik were captured that day, you gave yourself up in hopes that they would be freed. It was not the
case. They died in the palace dungeons and you were sealed in the ring. If it helps, Yami knew nothing of
their deaths. He was told that they were freed. He also knew nothing of what you endured while you were there.
If he would have he would have put an end to it. Those men were hired long ago and he knew nothing of what
they truly were."

Ryou was crying. Marik and Bakura were holding him and rocking him. Bakura refused to let either one of them
off of his lap. He held them close not wanting to let go, ever again. "What about this Torgo guy, how does he
fit in?"

"Lyn will tell that to eveyone after your pasts have been reveiled." said Wolf.

"I guess it`s my turn, huh?" smirked Rick. He knew full well that Seto wouldn`t want to believe any of it. That
just made things interesting for him.

"Fine. Get on with it." demanded Seto.

"Good. Believe it or not we were good friends. It never bothered you that I was a vampire. You weren`t as stuck
up then. You would let yourself go when you were alone. We had a lot of fun. You and I even slept together
on occasion, until you met those two. I couldn`t blame you though, they were and still are very hot. You were
a very powerful High Priest and Joey or Jou as he was called then was a necromancer. He was the best at what
he did. Otogi or Duke as he was known then, was a mage or sorceror, which ever you prefer. He was very good
at his craft. He was also the necromancers lover. You were very stunned by them the first time you saw them.
I could see it in your eyes. You wanted them as soon as you saw them. They came to the palace to request
asylum from their native lands, where they were outcasts for what they did. Pharoah Yami saw them as assests
for Egypt. Their request was granted and they were allowed to stay in the palace with their own room. You
spent as much time as you could with them, learning about what they could do and how their talents could
be used for Egypts benefit. You were ordered to do this but I could tell that you would have requested the
position if it had not been given to you."

"I find all of this hard to believe, what would I possibly see in the mutt or his little friend?" scoffed Seto.

"You were very taken with them. I believe you still are taken with them. You may not want to admit it but I can
see it. Like I did back then."

"You nothing about me."

"I know that you have a brother in this time and I can understand why you went through what you did for him. I
did that for my brother. That`s why I became a vampire. He was free to live out his life in exchange for mine.
The Gods told us all the information we need on all of you. We know everything that each one of you has been
through and we know why you did it."

"If these so called Gods know then why do they not stop some of things that happen?" asked Joey.

"The Gods do not interfere with mortals lives. They only look on and keep the world in tune with the universe.
They never have any control over humans lives. They believe you all deserve the free will to make your own
destinies. They have us to do the other stuff. Like sealing these two in the items and taking care of threats
to the world, like Torgo."

"So you three are awakened if someone holds enough power to end the world?" asked Yami.

"Yes, that is our job."

"Get on with the story." said Seto.

"Very well, then. I must say you have changed from the guy I knew."

"They all have, now is not the time to reminise my love."

"Of course. You were so sure that they would not have you that you never realized that I had been speaking with
them and knew that you were completely wrong. One night we set up a romantic dinner for the three of you. I
had two of my personal servents there to make sure all went well. You were rather disappointed when you arrived
and saw this. You told them you were sorry for disturbing them but they didn`t let you leave. They asked you to
stay and have dinner with them. The bed had been scented with aphrodisiacs so that you would be affected by
them from just being in the room. I made sure to use the strongest ones. Needless to say that night was the
beginning of your life with those two. You three were nearly inseparable after that night. I don`t know what
exactly happened I left that to them but the night seemed to be a success. You lost them when Torgo`s wife
and her minions invaided the palace. They died horribly and you seemed to be dieing after that. You refused
to leave your room. Soon it was found out that Torgo had gotten to you and you were working for him. I couldn`t
let you do that, so I made sure that you would lose the battle that you had with Yami so that the spell he
used on you would be broken. It worked, but you died that night, protecting the pharoah and his lover. He
was the only one out of you that had only one lover. That was because Yugi was a part of him then. I guess
this is where Lyn should take over."

"Wait, that would mean that the stone tablet at the library didn`t depict an epic battle between me and the
High Priest Seth, only a battle for his soul." Yami interjected.

"Yes. But Lyn knows more about you and your lover than Wolf or I do. She was your main teacher. So she spent
more time with you than either of us."

"Very well, go on. Tell me of my past."

"I was known as Anubiset. I already told you aobut that. I was your teacher and friend from the time that you
were young. I watched over you as a baby. You would have had a regular nurse if the shadow games where not
going on. So I was your nurse. I cared for you and taught you. The son of one of the guards was your best
friend. He was with you from the time that you were born. His mother had died after giving birth to him. She
had taken a knife intended for the the pharoah`s wife. So the son was placed with you, to be raised by your
side as your personnal guard. It was a great honor for his father. Who gladly gave him to me to raise along
with you. He would be able to harness shadow magic. It was an honor that only certain people could have. He
was to be by your side so long as you lived and even after. You two became closer than mere friends as you
grew. One day you asked me about what these feeling were and I told you you loved him. That day changed
your life. You kissed him for the first time. It was the day that your father died as well. A lot of the
servants that saw you reported it to the councel. They believed it was improper. However they failed to
realized that I was there watching them. When they called you forward to question you and have him killed
for touching you I stepped in. It was my duty according to your father to be the one to raise you as I saw
fit. When they saw me they immediately apoligized, however they were in for a nasty bit of my temper that
night. That was why the next day all your meetings were cancelled. They declared it a day of mourning for
your father, the truth was none of them would leave their rooms for fear that someone would see what I had
done."

"I remember that. You had those jackasses thinking that they had aged over a hundred years in one night. You
told them that you would break the spell when they learned to respect your authority over the new pharoah`s
life outside of the royal court." laughed Wolf.

Rick snickered, "Yeah that was hilarious. They didn`t even eat that whole day, they didn`t want even the
servants to see them. I think I laughed about that for almost a hundred years."

Lyn smiled. "I should continue if you two are done."

They both cracked up laughing, excusing themselves so that she could finish.

She shook her head. "Anyway. The guards name was Hiroto, otherwise known as Tristen in this time."

Yugi and Yami both looked shocked. "Don`t look to shocked now. You two have already discussed this. You
just have to find out how he feels."

Yugi turned red and hid his face in Yami`s chest. Tristen just smiled at Yami. "Please, continue."

"Of course. You two were truly inseperable. You stayed with each other at all time. It was this that
was part of the cause of Torgo`s rage. He tried to get to Hiroto in order to kill Yami, but Hiroto never
left your side. He couldn`t get close enought to him. Now this is were you all are involved in this
story. When Torgo first came to Egypt he sought out the thieves and murders. Bakura, your father refused
to help him kill all of the people in power. For that he made sure that the night you went after the guards
that he was killed. His wife got the pleasure of killing him. They used your anger and rage against the
pharoah to get into the palace. You had the attention of all of the guards so they slipped in and took
over several people before they left. One of those people was the one that killed Seth`s lovers. That was
there way of weakening him to take him over. Once they had him. They went after the pharoah. However
Tristen was killed protecting him. That was when the shadow game insued and Seth was released. Yami was
enraged by what this man had done and ordered us to finally take him and his wife. We have already told
you their punishments. Not long after a great force tried to break free of the shadow realm. Yami and Seth
fought it off. Seth died and his spirit roamed free until now. Yami had to sacrifice half of his soul to
seal the portal. His body died not long after that. The soul that Yugi know holds was the half that stayed
in the body, however it was too weak from the spell to survive. Until Yugi was born the soul was strengthening
itself. Now you two are here, two halves of one soul."

"So all this happened so that this guy Torgo could take over Egypt?" asked Joey.

"Of course. He is not stupid. He will come after you all where you are the most vulnerable. Joey, Wolf
and Rick sent your mother and sister to stay somewhere safe where he will not be able to reach them. All
we have to worry about now is you, Otogi, Mokuba and Seto. As far as you three are concerned."

"What about Yugi`s Grandpa and my parents?" asked Tristen.

"They have all had magic seals place around them. He cannot come within a hundred yards of them without
collapsing from pain."

"My dad." whispered Ryou.

"Your dad is with Shadi, Isis and Rashid have been sent there as well. He allowed us to enable the old
spells. No one can harm them there."

"So it`s just us for now?" asked Ryou.

"Yes, but don`t worry. He may be aware of our presence, but he does not know what we are."

Rick came back in with Wolf. "You mean he doesn`t know what you are and what you made us into."

"of course."

"I think we should get something to eat and think about what this means." suggested Yami.

Seto called the cook and they confirmed that dinner was done and Mokuba was on his way to the dinning hall.
"All right. Everyone can stay for dinner. I`m not sure about the rest of the night I need to think this
over and check security."

"Aren`t you three going to join us?"

"I will, but Rick and Wolf will not. They want to go out onto the grounds and look around. Though I`m
sure that is just an excuse to be alone together." Lyn smiled at them and followed the others.

Wolf looked at Rick sadly. "I wish that one of us didn`t need to stay near them at all times, I would
have rather enjoyed being with both of you."

Rick pulled him close. "You and I will be with her all we want when this over. You are just insatiatable."

Wolf whimpered. "No fair. I`m not the only one."

Rick grinned. "Of course your not."

They walked outside away from the house and when they were far enough Rick pinned Wolf to a tree and kissed
him roughly. Nipping at his bottom lip demanding entrance. Which he was granted. He let Wolf`s blood seep
into his mouth. It caused him to start to revert to his wolf form. His ears came out and his nails grew
longer and sharper. His tail came through his pants. He growled and ripped Rick`s shirt and coat off,
throwing them aside. Rick`s teeth elongated and he bite into Wolf`s shoulder and ripped his shirt off.
They snarled at each other and grabbed the others pants pulling and ripping them off, until they were
completely naked and scratching and biting at each other. They were both bloodied and bruised in no time
and fighting for dominance. Rick won out and threw him onto the ground on all fours. He thrust into him
without preparing him, ripping a growl from Wolf who thrust back against him. Rick slammed into him hard
and fast. Ripping him and making him bleed. Their movements were frenzied and soon Wolf howled his release.
He took Rick with him, who bit into his neck and drank some of his blood as he released. They were sated
after that. They used their powers to make the shredded clothes disappear and new fresh clothes appear.
Rick healed Wolf`s injuries and they dressed.

"I love it when we do it like that." Wolf said.

"of course you do, so do I."

"I love you."

"As I love you."

"I guess we should go back now."

"Yes. We should."

When they got back to the house everyone was a little nervous from hearing the howls. Lyn was telling them
it was nothing to be worried about.

"Hey everyone." Wolf grinned.

"You two scared the shit out of them."

"Sorry about that. Wolf can be a real animal when he gets going."

"Oh really, I seem to remember you being an animal out there too."

Lyn laughed and the rest seemed to calm down. Seto was in his computer room. Searching his files, checking
on his security and trying to confirm something about what he was told.





Next chapter: Kaiba agrees to let them stay. Joey and Yami have a talk. Seto, Joey and Otogi dream about thier
pasts with each other. Lemons galore in the dream sequences.
