i have been looking for a long time.

often, I wonder if it is worth it.

my search has brought me nothing but pain.

if i find what i am looking for, i will be hurt. if i cannot find it, the agony will grow.

it feels like i have been wandering forever. the darkened halls are endless. each day, the shadows grow longer. i may be running out of time.

i am looking.

whenever i return to where i started, it's a little more faded. unsubstantial. it could be a reflection on me.

i cycle throughout this world. one generation here, the next someplace different. i have lived in flames, in ice. i have lived in the darkness, and in the light. but it is to the darkness that i always return.
