"Weren't we going to go to the park?" Yami mumbled, staring out the window at the city drenched in rain.

"Aa, we were, but…." Yuugi shrugged as he gestured at the window, pulling his notebook and pencil box out of his backpack. Sitting down at his desk, he began to write.

"Oi…. What're you doing, aibou?" Yami leaned over Yuugi's shoulder, peering down at the notebook.

Yuugi sighed.

"Long-term assignment due in two weeks…I have to write an essay for history, about Egypt…." Tapping his pencil on the paper, Yuugi bit his lower lip.

"Oh, Egypt, ne? I can help you with that!" Yami grinned, flopping down on the nearby bed.

"I know, but I wanted to try and do this myself…Using you is kinda cheating, you know…." Yuugi smiled sheepishly.

Yami groaned, falling backwards on the bed. After about fifteen minutes of staring at the ceiling and listening to Yuugi's pencil scratching away, he sat up again.

"I'm bored."

"Oh my god…." Yuugi muttered, pinching the bridge of his nose in badly suppressed annoyance. "There's lots of stuff to do here…. Why don't you look for a used game you can play? I'm sure Jii-chan won't mind."

"Hn…I've already done that." Yami fiddled with the chain around his neck.

"He got some new ones yesterday." Pulling his reading glasses out of his jacket pocket, Yuugi turned back to his essay.

"But I wanna do something with YOU, aibooooooou…." The former pharaoh whined, resting his face in his hands.

Yuugi smacked his pencil down, fuming.

"I need to do my homework! …What's wrong with you today? Normally when it rains, you can stare outside for hours trying to count all the raindrops…And now the game king isn't in the mood to play a game?!"

"It's not that I don't want to play games, I'm just bored of playing by myself." Yami sighed, standing up to walk over to the mirror. "It's starting to seem as though every day, somehow something happens to disrupt any plans we had, and then you don't want to do anything with me…."

At the sound of Yuugi's chair scraping back, Yami turned around.

"G-Gomen ne, mou hitori no boku…" Yuugi took a deep breath. "I guess…it was kinda stupid of me to try and do that kind of thing, ne? It's just…." He adjusted his glasses.

Ignoring the twinge in his chest, Yami stared expressionlessly at Yuugi.

"Jonouchi-kun told me something very weird about you, and I still don't quite know how to deal with it…. Is it true?" Yuugi walked closer, reaching out a hand to lightly touch Yami's jaw line.

"I-is what true?" Yami swallowed nervously.

"That you love me."

[…CLIFFHANGAAAAAA~! Fuwahaha.

I dunno why I decided Yuugi should have reading glasses…. I just like the idea of any of the hikaris with glasses…. Hn.

Yeah, yeah. I know this chapter didn't warrant an R or NC-17 rating, but believe me, this story will later. *sweat* I'm a terrible person…
