Chapter 4- Devil Rising

"See ya tomorrow, Yuug!" Joey called, as he and Tristan walked down the street. Yugi waved. Kaiba had taken Mokuba home an hour before, but the others wanted to stay with Ryou. They had just left the house, though, because both albino boys had fallen asleep. Yami and Yugi sighed, wearily. Yugi looked up at Yami, who was frowning.

"Yami? What's wrong?" Yugi asked. Yami shook his head.

"I don't know. Something doesn't feel right. I don't think it's over for Ryou and Bakura." He said, and Yugi frowned.

"Then stay here."

"No. I won't let you walk home alone. Not after what happened to Ryou." Yami said, and sighed. "But I'll feel better if someone stayed." He pulled his deck out of his pocket, and stepped back into the house. He held out three cards, and the Dark Magician, Celtic Guardian, and Silver Fang appeared. The two warriors knelt, and the wolf sat on his haunches, awaiting their master's orders. Yami spoke to the powerful beings in Egyptian.

"<I have a bad feeling. I don't want to leave them alone. Stay with them. Guard them. I will come first thing in the morning.>" The Dark Magician nodded.

"<As you wish, Master.>" He said. The three monsters rose, and climbed the stairs to Ryou's room. Yami sighed, and looked at Yugi.

"Now we can go. And I'll be able to sleep."

"Dark Magician, Silver Fang and Celtic Guardian. What, no Exodia?" Yugi teased, and Yami gave him a look.

"I feel that Ryou and Bakura are in danger, aibou. I leave them with the best."

"Wouldn't that be the Blue Eyes White Dragon?" Yugi said, and enjoyed seeing Yami bristle.

"That monster would never fit in Ryou's house, much less his bedroom. Why do you think I didn't summon Gaia, or Curse of Dragon?"

"How about Feral Imp?"

"They'll be in Ryou's bedroom. I don't think Feral Imp will be a comforting sight when they first wake up."

"And a wolf will?"

"Shut up, Yugi."

***********

The Dark Magician stood staring out the window, watching the sky lighten as the sun came closer to rising. Silver Fang was curled up next to the bed, and the Celtic Guardian sat on Ryou's desk, with one foot up on the chair, polishing his sword. The Dark Magician looked at his pointy eared companion.

"<Will you stop that already?>" He said. Celtic Guardian looked up.

"<What?>"

"<Cleaning your sword. You've been doing it all night.>" The Dark Magician complained. Celtic Guardian smirked.

"<Would you prefer it if I licked myself?>" He said, motioning to Silver Fang, who growled, softly. The Dark Magician rolled his eyes, and looked back out the window. "<When the Pharaoh says `first thing in the morning,' how early is that?>" Celtic Guardian asked, and the Dark Magician shrugged.

"<Probably seeing the Little Master off to this, `school' he goes to.>" Silver Fang sat up, ears erect, when he heard one of the boys on the bed moan. The two other creatures of the Shadow Realm turned their eyes to the bed as well. The smaller of the pair was stirring. His eyes opened slowly, and looked directly at Silver Fang.

Ryou screamed. Bakura jumped awake, and looked around, then spotted the wolf, who was shaking his head, after Ryou screamed in his face. Bakura then noticed the Celtic Guardian, and Dark Magician, both looking rather amused. Bakura quickly began to hold Ryou, trying to calm the frightened Light.

"Shh, it's all right, Ryou, it's only Silver Fang. It's all right, they won't hurt us…" He held Ryou, who was trembling violently.

"Well, forgive me for not being used to waking up with a wolf in my face." Ryou gasped, on the verge of hyperventilating. Bakura grunted, and looked up at the Celtic Guardian, who was standing next to Silver Fang now.

"<What are you doing here?>" He asked, and Ryou looked up, curious, hearing the strange words coming from his yami's lips.

"<Master Pharaoh was worried. He would not leave the Little Master, but would not leave you, either. So he left us here.>" The Celtic Guardian said, smiling.

"<Why?>"

"<He had a feeling.>" The Dark Magician said, simply. Bakura nodded, then looked down at Ryou, who was giving him a questioning look.

"Yami had a bed feeling, and didn't want to leave us alone. So he left these three here, while he took Yugi home." Bakura explained.

"Oh…" Ryou said, and slowly sat up. He started to get out of bed, but Bakura wouldn't let him.

"No, tenshi. Stay in bed. Doctor's orders." He said, and climbed out of bed himself. He looked at the three Duel Monsters, and scratched his head. "<Uh, you want something to eat?>" He asked not knowing what to do with these creatures from the Shadow Realm. The Celtic Guardian smiled, and shook his head.

"Master Pharaoh and Little Master are here." The Dark Magician said, in a tongue that Ryou could actually understand, looking out the window. "As are the other two."

"Other two?" Bakura asked.

"The ones you call `Joey' and `Tristan'."

"Oh." There was a knock on the door.

Joey and Tristan were quite shocked when the Celtic Guardian answered the door. He let them in, then bowed to Yami.

"Good morning, Master Pharaoh. Good Morning Little Master." The swordsman said.

"Good morning!" Yugi sang, cutely, making the Celtic Guardian smile.

"Good morning." Yami said. "Everything went smoothly?"

"Yes, Master. Aside from Silver Fang scaring the little one…"

"Told ya!" Yugi said to Yami, who gave Yugi another look. They all then followed the Duel Monster up into Ryou's room. The Dark Magician gave Yami a slight bow, and smiled, when Yugi came flying at him, excited to see the tall being. Yugi gave the Dark Magician a hug around his middle, for that was where Yugi came to on the Dark Magician, and Yami was hardly better off, coming up to the monster's chest. At least Joey and Tristan made it to the Dark Magician's armored shoulder.

"Hello, Little Master." The Dark Magician said, looking down at the small teen.

"Good morning, Dark Magician!" Yugi squealed. Everyone watched this scene, amazed, with the exception of Yami, Silver Fang and Celtic Guardian, who had come to expect it. Yugi loved the Dark Magician, considering the powerful being as one of his very best friends. The Dark Magician looked up at Yami.

"All was quiet, Master Pharaoh." He said, and Yami nodded. "Do you wish for us to stay on today?" Yami frowned, and thought.

"No, that's fine." Bakura said. Yami looked at him.

"I'd feel better, Bakura."

"Even duel monsters need rest, Pharaoh." Bakura said, and Yami sighed.

"I suppose so. You three may go. But I may call on you at a later time." Yami said., and the Dark Magician nodded, and vanished, with the Celtic Guardian, and Silver Fang.

"You'd better get going." Ryou said, looking at the clock. Yugi yelped, and dashed down the stairs. Yami followed, pausing at the bedroom door.

"<Stay alert, Bakura. I feel that something's going to happen.>" Yami said, in Egyptian, so as not to worry Ryou. Bakura nodded.

"<I do not feel it, but if you say so…>" Bakura said, and Yami followed Yugi out the front door, Yugi locking it behind him. Ryou, still sitting on his bed, looked at Bakura, who smiled.

"How do you feel?"

"Tired. Weak. I have to go to the bathroom." Ryou said, and got up, but stumbled on his trembling legs. Bakura grabbed him, and helped him into the bathroom. He put Ryou back to bed after that.

"Stay here. I'm going to make breakfast."

"I wanna go downstairs." Ryou whined. Bakura sighed.

"All right. I'd prefer that. I'll be closer to you if you come downstairs. C'mere." Bakura said, and hefted Ryou onto his back, hooking his arms under Ryou's legs. Ryou smiled, and wrapped his arms around Bakura's neck, resting his chin on his dark's shoulder. Bakura smiled, and carried Ryou down the stairs. He deposited Ryou on the sofa, and wrapped him up in a blanket, giving him the remote control. Then, Bakura went into the kitchen to make breakfast, under Ryou's mental instructions.

Bakura brought breakfast in to Ryou, and they cuddled up on the sofa, and ate, then, almost immediately, dozed off.

**********

Bakura jerked awake, and looked around, panicked. He saw nothing out of the ordinary, and wondered what had woken him up. He looked down as Ryou moaned. He was fast asleep. Bakura shifted, and Ryou gasped, and maoned again, his face flushed. Bakura blinked, and felt his face heat up when he noticed, that his knee was between Ryou's legs, and the sleeping boy was rubbing against Bakura's thigh. Bakura stared into his sleeping Hikari's face, brushing the wild locks of hair away from it. Ryou leaned into his touch. Bakura sat up on his elbows, and moved until his face was just above Ryou's. Bkaura tilted his face down, and their lips embraced.

Ryou's eyes flew open, and he stared. Bakura's eyes were closed, and Ryou blinked, trying to register what was happening. Then, Ryou closed his eyes, and kissed Bakura back. Bakura opened his eyes this time, and pulled back. Ryou panted slightly, and opened his eyes, staring at his Dark, eyes sparkling. Bakura flushed, and looked anywhere but at Ryou.

"Ryou, I, I'm sorry, I shouldn't have-" but his word were cut by Ryou placing a finger on his lips. Bakura looked at Ryou, as the Hikari studied the yami's face. Slowly, his mouth twitched, an he smiled, slightly. Bakura wasn't expecting this.

"Ryou?" He asked, and Ryou lifted his head up, and once again silenced his Dark, this time with his mouth. Bakura's eyes slid shut, and he went with Ryou as the boy lay his head back down on the sofa. Bakura slid a hand up Ryou's chest, and Ryou moaned into his mouth, covering Bakura's hand with one of his own. Bakura opened his mouth slightly, and gave Ryou's bottom lip a gentle tug between his teeth, testing the smaller boy. Ryou gasped, and opened his mouth, his tongue flicking between Bakura's lips, briefly, then waiting, inviting Bakura to invade his mouth. Bakura happily complied.

Bakura moved his knees out from between Ryou's legs, until he was straddling the smaller boy's hips, as his tongue explored Ryou's mouth. Gently, he rubbed against Ryou, and the boys gasped, breaking the kiss, then moaned, rubbing back. Bakura smiled, and kissed Ryou's throat, and the Light nuzzled his ear. Bakura began to unbutton Ryou's pajama shirt, feeling his warm chest, now that the bandages had been removed. He paid close attention to Ryou's body, knowing when he touched something painful, and knew to avoid it. Bakura moved his lips down to Ryou's collar bone, and then, his chest.

Ryou rubbed against Bakura, his body on fire with things he had never felt before. His breathe came in small pants, and gasps; Bakura obviously knew what he was doing. He winced when Bakura's fingers flicked over his broken rib, and his kisses trailed down to his chest. Ryou had never known that this could feel so good. He suddenly gave a small cry, as Bakura took one of his nipples between his teeth, and nibbled on it, gently. Ryou lifted his hips, begging for more contact. Bakura smiled, and thrust down, slamming Ryou's body into the sofa, and grinding his hips on his aggressively. Ryou threw back his head.

"Ahh! Buh, Bakura! Oh, God…." Ryou moaned at the contact, and gasped for breathe, as he felt Bakura's arousal pressing against his own. Bakura looked up, and stared into Ryou's eyes, aflame with the excitement that the sensations his body was feeling.

"Bakura! I, I need-" Bakura crushed his mouth against Ryou's briefly.

"Shhhh…." He crooned into Ryou's ear. "I know what you need. All you have to do is trust me." Ryou kissed him, showing that he did indeed trust him. Bakura smiled. "Close your eyes, and relax." He whispered, and felt Ryou's body do so. HE slid down to Ryou's chest again, taking his other nipple between his lips. His hands slid lower, and he hooked his thumbs on the hem of Ryou's boxers. Slowly, he pulled them off, an Ryou gasped slightly a he felt himself exposed. Bakura sat for a moment, admiring Ryou. Ryou opened his eyes, and stared at Bakura, blushing. Bakura smiled.

"You're beautiful." Bakura gasped, and leaned over, kissing Ryou again. Ryou sighed, and closed his eyes again. Bakura smiled, and slithered down Ryou's body, until his face hung over Ryou's sex. He kissed it, and Ryou jumped, and gasped, bucking his hips up. Bakura smiled, and pressed Ryou's hips back down into the sofa, massaging them with his thumbs.

//Shhhh…. Close your eyes, Ryou…// He said, softly, and Ryou obeyed. Bakura took the tip of Ryou's hard member into his mouth, and flicked it with his tongue. Ryou yelped, and tried to lift his hips again, but Bakura held him down. Ryou whimpered as Bakura nibbled him gently, then took him farther into his mouth. Ryou cried out, at the tremors running through him, and Bakura felt him harden. He smiled, and sucked, lightly, tearing a small scream of ecstasy from the smaller boy. Bakura grinned, and skimmed his teeth over Ryou's arousal, enjoying the noises Ryou's was making, moans, whimpers, mews, and screams. Ryou's whole body began to tremble, as Bakura deep throated him, and swallowed around Ryou.

"Bakura!" Ryou screamed, and Bakura had to fight hard to keep Ryou from thrusting. He worked Ryou, causing the boy to squirm, and gasp, fighting the hands holding his hips still. Bakura's thumbs began to massage Ryou at the base of his erection, and Bakura swallowed around him again. Ryou's mind went blank, and his vision flashed white, as his body seized up in one, massive orgasm. Then, Ryou's body went limp, and closed his eyes, gasping for breathe. Bakura slid up next to Ryou, holding him to his chest, rubbing his back, trying to soothe his trembling Light. He kissed Ryou's forehead.

//Feel better?// He asked.

/Mmmm…. What?/ Ryou's mind mumbled. Bakura laughed, quietly. /Oh, God, I've never felt anything like that before…/

//I'm glad I could have given it to you.//

/The man who, who hurt me…./ Ryou said, hesitantly. Bakura stiffened. /Is that what he felt?/ Ryou prayed that Bakura wouldn't say `yes'. Bakura sighed, mentally, and physically.

//No, Ryou. Not really. He forced you. whatever he felt is nothing compared to how it feels when the other person gives themselves willingly…. Lovingly. He could never know true pleasure if that's how he gets his pleasure. Did you like it? Just now, I mean?// Bakura added hastily.

/It was incredible. Could we do it again?/ Ryou asked, shyly. Bakura smirked, and moved his hand towards Ryou's manhood. Ryou jumped. /I meant later!/ Ryou gasped.

//Sorry. Sure.// Both closed their eyes, thinking.

/Bakura?/

//Mmm?//

/Do you want it?/ Bakura sat up, and looked down at Ryou, surprised. Ryou looked up at Bakura, his face calm and innocent.

//I, I, well, yyyesss…..// Bakura said slowly, blushing. Ryou smiled, and Bakura kissed him.

/Then, let me do to you what you did to me./ Ryou thought, and Bakura's breathe caught in his throat, and he felt himself swell in lust. Bakura nodded, and Ryou shifted, so he was lying on Bakura's chest.

Bakura knew Ryou was nervous, and not sure about what to do. Bakura manipulated Ryou's mind, slightly, enabling him to gently guide Ryou. Ryou nipped Bakura's throat, hesitantly, and Bakura sent a feeling of satisfaction to his light, making the small boy smile, and repeat the action. Slowly, Bakura guided Ryou down to his chest and stomach, where the boy played with nipples between his fingers, while flicking his tongue into Bakura's navel. Bakura couldn't help but moan at the sensations he was feeling. Ryou continued, Bakura's moans boosting his confidence in what he was doing. Then, he moved down to Bakura's boxers, and Bakura lifted his hips so that Ryou could slide them off of him. Ryou stared, shocked at first, of Bakura's size. Bakura sent a wave of calm to his Light, and gave him a small mental nudge. Slowly, hesitantly, Ryou bent down, and licked at Bakura's erection. Bakura gasped, and Ryou jumped.

"Mmmmm, Ryou, don't stop." Bakura moaned, and this time, Ryou took Bakura into his mouth. Bakura gasped, thrust up, choking Ryou, who quickly recovered, and pinned Bakura's hips down, as Bakura had done to him. HE began to tease Bakura, with his tongue and teeth, moving up and down the Spirit's shaft, sucking lightly. Bakura moaned again, and Ryou continued. Bakura gasped, when Ryou went and deep throated him, as he had done, swallowing around him, out of reflex, as opposed to purposely, as Bakura had done. But it was enough to send Bakura over the edge, and he came into Ryou's mouth, startling the boy. Bakura had to mentally help Ryou handle his sudden situation, and swallow Bakura's heat. Ryou lifted his head, and stared at Bakura, his eyes asking the question.

//That was so good.// Bakura thought, and Ryou smiled in relief, then, at a gesture from Bakura, happily crawled into the Dark's arms, cuddling up to his chest. Bakura wrapped his arms and legs protectingly, and lovingly, around Ryou's body.

/I love you, Koibito./ Ryou said, and Bakura smiled.

//I love you too, tenshi aisuru.// He said. Ryou smiled, and his mind quieted, as he drifted to sleep. Bakura sighed, and looked at the clock. It was just past one PM. They had over two hours before Yami and Yugi came barging in. Bakura smiled, and closed his eyes, lulled to sleep by his Hikari's quiet breathing.

***********

Bakura jumped awake to a loud pounding on the front door. He groaned, making Ryou frown and roll over in his sleep. Careful not to wake the sleeping Light, Bakura climbed off of the sofa, and stumbled to the door, pulling on his boxers. He rubbed his eyes as he opened the door. Yami and Yugi raised their eyebrows at Bakura's disheveled appearance. Bakura was too tired to pester Yami, so he stepped aside and motioned the two boys inside.

"Have you slept all day, Tomb Raider?" Yami asked, amused. Bakura stretched his mouth open in a yawn, and scratched his head.

"Yes. And don't call me Tomb Raider, Pharaoh."

"Did Ryou sleep all day?" Yugi asked and Bakura blinked, still trying to wake up.

"Huh? Oh, yeah. Our exertions in Ryou's dream really took its toll." Bakura mumbled, and staggered back into the living room, where Ryou was still sleeping on the sofa. Bakura collapsed next to him again, and closed his eyes, after covering Ryou's naked body with a blanket.

"I know what you mean." Yami said, sitting down in an arm chair. "All I did was answer the door and I slept all day in the Puzzle." Bakura snorted, and Yugi grinned. At that moment, the phone rang, and Ryou jumped awake.

"Oh, hey Yugi. Hi Yami."

"Hi Ryou."

"Sleep well, Ryou?"

"Yes, thank you." Ryou said, and snatched the phone up from the end table. "Hello? Dad! Hi!" He cried, and sat up, excited. Bakura opened his eyes, and watched Ryou. "Yeah….. I'm fine….. What? How did you know about that?!?" Ryou gasped, and covered the mouthpiece. "He found out I was in the hospital!" He whispered, and Yugi, Yami, and Bakura raised their eyebrows, curious. "Well, yessir, I'm okay. I mean, I'll live, I……. No, I don't know who it was. I never really saw his face……. No Dad, I'm fine, really………. that's all taken care of…… No, I didn't. Umm, have I failed to mention that Seto Kaiba is a good friend of mine…… Yes, Seto Kaiba of Kaiba Corporation…… Uhhhh, it's kind of a long story, Dad, but Kaiba paid for it, and…….. No, I'm not alone…. Well, Yugi is here right now…….. Yugi Mouto, Dad, I know I've told you about him…… Yes, the same Yugi Mouto that defeated Kaiba……. Dad, he was my friend before he became a champion Duelist……. No, he had to go to school, Dad…… No……..No, I wasn't alone all day…… Uhhhh, you don't know him." Ryou's eyes flicked to Bakura. "Well, uh, when are you coming home…….. Oh, okay…… Well, a lot has happened, and I don't think I should tell you over the phone. It's kind of complicated, and, well, unbelievable. You'd have to see it to believe it……. I trust him with my life, Dad……. I'll tell you everything when you get back. Dad, I promise…… Okay…….. Uh-huh…… I love you too, Dad….. Bye." Ryou hung up, and looked up at Bakura, Yugi, and Yami.

"Well?" Yami said. Ryou swallowed.

"I have to tell my Dad. Everything. He's coming home in a week."

"I thought he wasn't coming home for a month!" Bakura yelped, looking very nervous. Ryou nodded.

"He was upset that I was in the hospital. And that some stranger is taking care of me." Ryou looked at Bakura.

"So, You're telling your Dad about me?" Bakura asked, nervous. Ryou nodded.

"I have to, Bakura. I want him to know. I mean, Yugi's Grandpa, knows about Yami. Kura, you're like my older brother. I want Dad to know you."

"I'd like to meet your father." Bakura said, quietly. Yami cleared his throat.

"So would I. Ryou, perhaps your father should meet me first. Two Yugi's will help prepare him for two Ryou's." Yami said. Bakura nodded.

"The Pharaoh's right." Bakura said.

"I'll have to explain the Millennium Items, Yami." Ryou said. Yami nodded.

"With your Dad being an archeologist, that actually might be useful." Yugi piped up.

"So it's decided then." Yami said. "Yugi and I will come over when your father gets home, and we'll tell him everything."

**************

Ryou inspected his body in the mirror, checking his scars. The bruises from the rape had almost completely faded. Bakura appeared behind him from the Ring, looking very nervous.

"It's all right, Ryou." He said. "Don't worry." Ryou turned to face him, smiling.

"You look more worried than I do, Kura." Bakura smirked.

"Can you blame me?" He said. There was a knock on the door. Bakura and Ryou glanced at the clock. "I thought your Dad said four thirty." Bakura said, and Ryou frowned; it was three thirty.

"He did. And he wouldn't knock." Ryou said. "Stay up here, in case it is him." Ryou said. Bakura nodded, and his Hikari left the room. Bakura sat down on the bed, fidgeting nervously.

Ryou pulled on his sweater, and checked his appearance in the mirror in the hall. He smiled nervously at the Millennium Ring around his neck. Then, he turned and opened the front door. He blinked, then smiled.

"Oh! Dr. Ketsueki! How are you? Come in!" Ryou said, stepping aside, letting his father's partner come in. The Doctor looked very nervous, and shifty.

"I'm fine, Ryou! How are you? You've grown!" He said, grinning, looking Ryou over.

"I'm fine."

"I heard you were in the hospital."

"Yessir. I'm a lot better, though."

"Good." His cheerful attitude suddenly disappeared. "Tell me, Ryou, did your Dad send you a package about two, three weeks ago?"

"Uh, no, he didn't." Ryou said, nervously, noticing Dr. Ketsueki eyeing the Millennium Ring. He pointed at it.

"What's that?" He asked.

"Oh, Dad gave it to me years ago. Got it in Egypt."

"Egypt, huh? You sure he didn't send you a package?"

"Uh, yessir. Um, I'm home alone now, and I'm technically not supposed to have people in the house…" Ryou hinted, moving to open the front door.

"Home alone, huh?"

"Yessir. Dad should be here in and hour, if you'd like to check back then." Ryou said.

"No, I don't think I will. We're leaving, Ryou." Dr. Ketsueki said, and Ryou froze, as he pulled a gun, training it onto Ryou. Ryou backed into the wall, as his father's partner advanced on him. "Your father has something I want. And you're coming with me, until I get it!" Dr. Ketsueki said, and grabbed Ryou's wrist, jerking him. He spun him around, and wrapped his arm around him, dragging him to the door, holding his gun to the petrified Ryou's head. Finally, Ryou screamed, and the Doctor covered his mouth. He put the gun down, and pulled something from his pocket, as Ryou began to fight him. Ryou stared at the syringe. The doctor pulled the cap off with his teeth, and squirted some of the liquid out getting rid of any air bubbles. Ryou whimpered, when he felt the needle jabbed into his neck. Ketsueki put the cap back on the needle, and put it in his pocket, then picked up the gun again.

/Bakura! Bakura! Help me! Please!/ Bakura jumped, when Ryou's scream invaded his thoughts. He leapt up, and charged out of the room, and down the stairs. He landed, catlike, and sprinted down the hall, where he heard the front door open. His eyes quickly took in the scene before him. Ryou was struggling against a tall man holding him, terror plastered across his face. The man was dragging Ryou out the door, holding a strange metal object to the boy's head.

"Ryou!!!" Bakura shouted, and the man looked up, and stared. But as soon as Bakura started moving, he pointed the metal thing at him. Ryou's face contorted in horror.

/Bakura! No!/ Bakura stopped, guessing that this metal thing was dangerous. Suddenly, there was a loud sound, like thunder, and a white hot pain flashed through his chest. Bakura heard Ryou scream, and felt himself falling. He hit the floor, and listened to Ryou in his mind.

/Bakura! No! Talk to me! Oh, God, no, Bakura! Please! No! Bakuraaa!/ Bakura fought to stay conscious.

//Ryou….//

/Kura, please! Don't die!/

//Ryou. No, get your hands off him…..//

/Bakura, don't go to sleep./ Ryou sobbed through their link, as he was shoved into the back of a van. /Yami! Call Yami Yugi!/ Ryou told Bakura, as the van pulled away from the curb, and sped away. The drug suddenly kicked in, and Ryou slowly began to pass out. /Bakura…./

//Ryou. No. It's all my fault. Ryou……//

*************

Dr. Yaten Bakura got out of the cab, and smiled at his house. He couldn't wait to see his son. He paid the driver, and went up to the front door, wondering why Ryou hadn't come flying out of the house to greet him like usual. He took out his keys, and unlocked the door, but it was already unlocked.

`Strange.' He thought, opening the door. `That's not like Ryou.' He walked in, and closed the door, then turned on the light. He gasped, and dropped hi suitcase.

"Ryou!!!" He shouted, staring at the pale white haired boy lying on the floor of the hall, in a pool of blood. Dr. Bakura looked at all the blood, and quickly come to his conclusion. "Oh, God, he's dead. No…" The figure on the floor moaned, and Ryou's father looked up, and rushed to his side. "Ryou! Hold on, son. I'm calling an ambulance." He reached for the phone on the table nearby, when the boy seized his wrist.

"No. Don't. It's complicated," he moaned, his voice filled with pain. "But, I'm not Ryou. I'm what he needed to tell you. Please. Call, call Yugi Mouto. He can explain everything. I won't die, I promise." The boy on the floor laughed weakly. "I can't die."

"What do you mean?"

"You can only die once. I've had that privilege already. Call Yugi Mouto." Bakura's father, not knowing what else to do, found the number on Caller ID, and called.

"Hello, Turtle Game Shop."

"Is, is this Yugi Mouto?"

"Yes it is, can I help you?" the voice said.

"I, this is Dr. Yaten Bakura."

"Oh! You're home!"

"Yes. Please, could you come over. I, my son's been shot!"

"What?!?"

"He's been shot, but, he says he isn't Ryou, and he won't let me call an ambulance. He said to call you."

"I'll be right there!" Yugi said, and hung up. Dr. Bakura stared down at the boy who had to be his son. Gently, he picked him up, and carried him to the living room, and put him on the sofa. Less than ten minutes later, the front door banged open, and the boy who had to be Yugi burst in, and ran to the sofa.

"Oh, God." He said, quietly. `Ryou' grabbed Yugi's hand.

"Tell him, Yugi." He moaned, and Yugi nodded, turning to Ryou's father.

"Sir. I have quite a story to tell you."

"What? This is no time for stories!!!"

"Sir, it'll explain everything."

"Listen." Bakura moaned, from the sofa, and Dr. Bakura sat down, slowly, and stared at Yugi, who sat down as well.

"Five thousand years ago, in Egypt," Yugi began, "the most powerful people in the Kingdom played something called the Shadow Games."

"I know the legends of the Shadow Games!" Ryou's father snapped. "The Pharaoh Yugioh locked them away in seven items of power. Pyramid, Ball, Necklace, Ring, Scepter, Scales and Key. I know, I know!" Yugi nodded.

"Actually, Puzzle, Eye, Tauk, Ring, Rod, Scales and Ahnk. He also locked his soul away in one of them."

"Yes, yes, I know. How do you know?"

"Did you know that the Ring you gave Ryou is one of the Seven Items?"

"What?" Dr. Bakura gasped.

"The Millennium Ring."

"It's just a legend!"

"All legends have a truth in them." Yugi said. He held up the Puzzle. "This is the Millennium Puzzle, Dr. Bakura. How do you think Ryou and I met? The Ring has the power to point to other Millennium Items. Ryou's Ring pointed to my Puzzle."

"That's the one the Pharaoh's soul is supposed to be in." Dr. Bakura said, quietly. Yugi smiled.

"It still is. You see, I am the reincarnation of the Pharaoh. Ryou is the reincarnation of a Tomb Robber, whose soul was trapped in the Ring by the Pharaoh."

"What?" Yugi pointed to Bakura.

"That isn't Ryou. That's the Tomb Robber." Yugi said, and Bakura opened his eyes and smirked.

"Hi." He mumbled.

"You're insane." Dr. Bakura said. Yugi sighed, and held up the Puzzle.

"Yami," He said out loud. "Ryou's Dad needs some convincing." The Puzzle glowed, and Yami Yugi took shape, standing by Yugi. Yugi smiled at his clothes; his Pharaoh's garments.

/Nice entrance./

//I thought the outfit would help convince him.// Yami smirked at Ryou's shocked father, then looked at Bakura.

"Bakura!" He gasped, and fell to his knees by the sofa. Bakura smiled weakly at Yami.

"Pharaoh…"

"Relax, Bakura. Where's Ryou?" Bakura closed his eyes, guilt flooding him, and answered in Egyptian.

"<He's been taken. By the man who did this to me. He's unconscious, I can't reach him. The Ring is too far away. I can't tap into its power.>" Ryou's father blinked, surprised to hear the dead language spoken in his living room. Yami nodded.

"<We'll find him, Bakura. I promise. But first, we have to take care of you. Hold still.>" Yami said, then looked at Ryou's father. "I'm going to heal him." He said, and placed his hand over the wound. Yugi gave Yami the Puzzle. In his hand, the Puzzle began to glow, and so did the hand on Bakura's chest. Yami began chanting, under his breathe, and Bakura hissed, as he felt the wound heal. Chips of bone slid back into placed, and torn muscles and blood vessels fused back together, the blood returning to them. He felt the skin knit together, and then, the wound was healed. Yami gasped, and fell back, Yugi catching him, as the Puzzle fell to the floor. Yami closed his eyes, and fought to catch his breathe. Bakura sat up, and pulled off his shirt, wiping the blood off of his chest, then looked where the wound was. There was a scar, nothing more. He looked up at Ryou's father, and held out his hand.

"Uh, hi there. I'm Yami Bakura." Ryou's father took Bakura's hand, and only then, did belief flash across his face.

"You really aren't Ryou. I can see it in your eyes. You're taller."

"No, I'm not Ryou. He was taken by a tall man. I tried to save him, but-"

"Taken?!?" Ryou's father roared. Yami moaned, and Yugi put the Puzzle in his hands, and he drew strength from it, then stood, putting the Puzzle around his Light's neck. He looked at Bakura.

"Can you sense Ryou?"

"No. He's unconscious, he's-wait. He's waking up." Bakura sat down, and closed his eyes.

//Ryou?//

/Uhhh, Bakura?/

//Ryou! Where are you?!?//

/Kura?!? Are you all right?!?/

//Fine, koi. Fine. Thanks to Yami.//

/Is my Dad there?/

//Yes. He had quite a shock when he found me in the hall. Yugi and Yami are here, and Yugi gave him a quick explanation.//

/Oh, God. Dr. Ketsueki! Tell Dad it's Dr. Ketsueki!/

//Listen, Ryou. I'm coming for you. I'll have home soon, aisuru.//

/Ashiteru, Kyodai./

//Ashiteru, watashi no tenshi aisuru.// Bakura looked up, and looked at Ryou's father.

"He's all right. I'm going to find him. He said to tell you that he was taken by a Dr. Ketsueki."

"Ketsueki?!?" Ryou's father yelled, leaping to his feet. "He's after the damn artifacts, isn't he? How will you find Ryou?"

"He's my Hikari."

"Hikari?"

"Yes." Yami said. "Bakura is Ryou's yami, and he is Bakura's Hikari. Yugi is my Hikari, and I am his yami." Ryou's father blinked.

"You, you really are him, aren't you? The Legendary Pharaoh. Yugioh, the Game King." Dr. Bakura said, weakly. Yami smiled, and nodded.

"I am. Call me Yami. Everyone else does. Bakura, I'm coming with you." He said, turning his attention to pale Spirit. Bakura nodded.

"then let's go. I want to get Ryou back to his father."

"Me too!" Yugi said. Yami looked at him.

"No, Yugi. You need to stay here with Ryou's dad. Tell him, everything. Bakura and I will bring Ryou home soon."

"But-"

"No buts, Yugi. You cold get hurt!"

"So?"

"Yugi…." Yami moaned. Yugi frowned, pouting.

"Fine."

"Thank you, aibou." Yami said, ruffling Yugi's hair. Then, he looked at Bakura, who was staring at Ryou's father.

"I'll bring him back. I swear to Ra, I'll bring him back." He said, and turned. Yami smiled encouragingly at Ryou's father, and followed Bakura out the door, mentally changing into street appropriate clothing, his usual black leather. Dr. Bakura looked at Yugi who smiled.

"Don't worry. If anyone can get Ryou back it's Yami and Bakura." He said, and Ryou's dad smiled, comforted by the confidence in Yugi's voice. "And, Yami and I will stay in mental contact. He'll keep us updated. But I think I have a lot of explaining to do. Make yourself comfortable. This may take a while." Yugi said, and Ryou's father kicked off his shoes and pulled off his coat and settled down.

"All right, young man. Tell me everything."

"Well, it all started when my Grandpa, Solomon Mouto, gave me a box containing the fragments of the Millennium Puzzle, that he found on a dig in Egypt before he retired from archeology. He said whoever put it together, would be given unimaginable power. He dared me to solve it."

//Ryou? Talk to me.// Bakura thought, as he and Yami stood on the sidewalk.

/Kura?/

//I need you to keep talking so I can find you.//

/O-okay…/

"This way." Bakura said to Yami, feeling his Hikari's Life Force. The two streaked down the road.

//Your dad seems nice.//

/He is. He'll like you, Bakura. I know he will./

//I'm sure I'll like him too, hato chiisai.//

/Did you just call me `little dove'?/

//…..Yyyeeessssss……//

/Never though you'd be giving me nicknames like that./

//Well, to quote a phrase I've heard, `peopl always do crazy things when they're in love.'//

/In…. love?/

//I love you Ryou.//

/………Koibito?/

//Yes?//

/I'm scared./

//It's all right. I'm coming.//

/No. I mean, what will my dad think when we tell him that, we're together?/

//Does your dad know that you were, y'know, raped?//

/No. I'm scared to tell him./

//You need to Ryou.//

/I'm scared!/

//It's okay. We'll cross that bridge when we come to it. Right now, I'm just worried about getting you back to your father.//

/I love you, Kura./

// I love you too, tenshi.//

"Bakura! Yami!" Both darks stopped when they heard a familiar voice. Seto Kaiba was driving next to them, in his black Lamborgini. They looked at him "what's wrong? You're running like the Hounds of Hell are after you!" Yami shook his head, panting.

"Ryou's been kidnapped."

"Kidnapped?"

"Yes. We're on our way to find him! His father's at home with Yugi!"

"Why didn't you say so, get in!" Kaiba shouted, opening the door.

"A getaway car would be useful." Yami said, and climbed in, Bakura after him. "You always have good timing, Kaiba. Thanks."

"No problem. These things always seem to happen to poor Ryou. Where is he?"

"Don't know. Bakura's trying to track him down." Yami said, motioning to Bakura, who had zoned out again.

//We're coming, Ryou.//

/We?/

//Me, Yami, and Kaiba.//
/Oh. Where's Yugi?/

//With your dad. He's telling your father everything, Ryou.//

"Turn here, Kaiba."

"Right."

/Oh. Okay. Bakura, please help me! I want to see my Dad!/ Ryou thought, sounding tearful.

//You will, koi.// Bakura thought. Suddenly, a gasp came through the link. //Ryou?!/

/No! He's coming back! Oh, God, Bakura! Help me!/

//Ryou? Ryou!?!// The link grew quiet.

Yugi stopped his tale, just about to get into telling Ryou's Dad about meeting up with Ryou at the Duelist Kingdom and the duel in the Shadow Realm between the two yami's and Ryou's soul being trapped in the Change of Heart Card, when the phone rang. Dr. Bakura checked Caller ID. Anonymous.

"Hello?"

"Good evening, Yaten."

"Ketsueki! What the hell have you done with Ryou?!?"

"Heh. I never knew you had two sons."

"Where is Ryou?"

"All in due time. Right now, I'm curious as to your other boy. Who is he?" Ryou's father paused, mind racing.

"His brother came to live with us recently."

"Ah. Where's he been?"

"Umm, studying abroad."

"Where?"

"Egypt."

"I see. Strange you've never mentioned him. What's his name?" Dr. Bakura blinked. Yugi had heard.

"Kyodai!" Yugi whispered.

"Kyodai."

"Kyodai, huh? I guess he's still alive, since you're not sobbing over his death."

"Ketsueki, where the hell is my son?"

"No patience at all, Yaten. He's right here. Why don't you say hi?" Ketsueki said, and looked at Ryou, tied to a chair. He pulled out the gag, and held the phone up to Ryou's face.

"Dad!"

"Ryou?!? Where are you? Are you all right?" Ryou felt like crying when he heard his father.

"Dad, I'm okay. Please, don't do anything stupid, the yami's are coming for me! I'll be f-" Ketsueki cuffed Ryou upside the head. Ryou yelped.

"Ryou! Ryou, can you hear me?!? Answer me, Ryou!"

"Your son is dumber than I thought." Ketsueki snarled into the phone, watched Ryou trying to regain his senses. "I think I should teach him a lesson."

"Ketsueki, you sick bastard!!! Keep your hands off him!"

"You're in no position to demand anything! And your son will pay for your insolence. I made him pay two weeks ago when you mailed off the damn Scepter of the Game King! I want it! Where is it?!?"

"What do you mean, `you made him pay,' Ketsueki?" Dr. Bakura snarled. Ketsueki laughed out loud, and looked down at Ryou, who was staring at him, terror and understanding registered on his face. He understood.

Ketsueki was tall, and muscular, very beefy. He had dark brown hair, an earring in one ear, and wore a brown trench coat. Ryou felt ill, and the color drained from his face. It was him. Ketsueki grinned at Ryou.

"You mean, your little Ryou never told you, Yaten?"

"Told me what?" Dr. Bakura snarled. Ketsueki looked down at Ryou, grinning in amusement.

"Please…" Ryou whimpered. "Don't tell him…" Ketsueki smirked and knelt, so he was looking Ryou in the eye. He held the phone up to Ryou's face.

"You tell him." He drawled, enjoying the look on Ryou's face.

"Ketsueki?!?" Ryou's father roared into the phone.

"Dad," Ryou whimpered.

"Ryou, what did he do to you?"

"Let me talk to Yugi."

"Ryou!"

"Put Yugi on!" Ryou said, and his dad sighed and gave the phone to Yugi.

"Ryou?"

"Yugi. Tell my dad what happened to me that night. I, I can't do it. Can you?"

"I, sure, Ryou. I'll tell him."

"Thanks Yugi. It, it's him." Ryou said.

"What?!?" Ketsueki snorted in amusement when he heard Yugi's shout.

"Lemme talk to Dad."

"Ryou-"

"Let me talk to my dad, Yugi."

"But-"

"Yugi, please." Yugi gave the phone to Ryou's father.

"Ryou?"

"Dad, Yugi will tell you."

"Why?"

"Because, I can't." Ketsueki took the phone back.

"I'll call you back, Yaten. After your son pays your bill." He hung up. Ryou's father stared at the phone in horror, frozen, not knowing what to do. Yugi, however, acted.

/Yami! Hurry! Ketsueki's gonna hurt Ryou! It's him! He's the one who attacked him before!/

//We're hurrying, Yugi! Kaiba's breaking half of the street laws!//

/Kaiba?/

//Yes. Kaiba. He's giving us a ride to, Bakura!!!//

/Yami! Yami! What's wrong?!? What happened?!? Yami? Yami!/ Yugi looked at Ryou's father.

"What is it?" The archeologist said, staring at Yugi.

"Something happened to Bakura."

**********

Ryou stared fearfully at Ketsueki, as he hung up the phone, and looked down at him, with an evil grin and a lustful look in his eyes.

"I take it you remember me?" He said, laughing.

"N-noo…" Ryou moaned, and struggled against his ropes. "Please! Don't!" Ketsueki laughed, and shoved Ryou, knocking the chair over backwards. Ryou cried out when he felt one of his wrists snap. Ketsueki took out a knife, and sliced the ropes. Ryou immediately tried to scramble away, but Ketsueki placed a foot down on Ryou's back, pinning him where he was. He stomped down, and Ryou screamed at the pain in his fractured ribs.

/"Bakuraaaa!!!"/ He screamed, mentally, and verbally. In Kaiba's car, Bakura jerked, as he felt Ryou's pain. He gasped, and threw his head back.

"Ryou! No!" He screamed, writhing in pain. Yami blinked.

"Bakura!" He shouted, ending his conversation with his Light. "Snap out of it!" He shouted, and gave Bakura a sharp slap. Bakura blinked, and raised his shields against the pain. He gasped, trying to get his breathe back.

"He's, he's hurting Ryou! Faster Kaiba! Go left here!" Bakura moaned. Kaiba stepped on the gas and whirled around the corner, tires screaming. Yami sighed.

"Bakura, Yugi just told me who has Ryou. It's him. the one who hurt him before." Bakura froze, and paled.

"Oh, Ra, no. Please, don't say that, in the name of Anubis, no…"

/Bakura!/

//Ryou! Hold on! We're close!//

/No! He, he's gonna do it again! Bakura! Help me, please! Oh, God, the Ring! He's taking--/ Ryou fell silent, as the Ring left his neck. Bakura gripped the arm rest.

//Ryou? Ryou!//

"Dammit! Ketsueki took off the Ring! I can still track Ryou, though."

"How?!" Yami asked, baffled.

"He's still near the Ring, so I can feel his life force. And I'll bet even you can feel his fear, Pharaoh."

"You, you're right." Yami said, closing his eyes. "And it's getting stronger."

"Hurry Kaiba!"
