Chapter 9- Fate of the Soul
Yami jerked awake when he heard Bakura scream. He looked up. The Dark Magician was still sitting in the armchair, and looking at Bakura, as he thrashed his arms and legs in the sleeping bag next to Ryou. Ryou jumped awake, when Bakura's fist smacked him in the face. Ryou looked at Bakura, who was still asleep. Yami watched, as Ryou shook Bakura awake. He glanced down at Yugi thankful that he was still asleep.
"Kura! It's okay! It's me! It was just a dream!" Ryou cried, as Bakura's eyes flew open, the Sennen Eye glowing on his forehead. He looked around, alarmed, then focused on Ryou. He gasped, and threw his arms around his light, and Yami narrowed his eyes. Bakura was trembling.
"R-Ryou!" Bakura gasped, and held Ryou to him, tightly.
"Kura." Ryou said, trying to soothe his darker half. "Nan desu ka?"
"I, I had a nightmare. That's all."
"What happened?" Ryou said, softly.
"I lost you." Bakura whimpered, much to Yami's surprise. "I, he came back. Ketsueki came back, and I couldn't protect you. He killed you, and I was alone…" Ryou hugged Bakura, and rocked him, trying to get him to go back to sleep. Yami watched, as did the Dark Magician. Slowly, Bakura calmed down, and fell asleep. But Ryou was wide awake. He tossed and turned for half an hour, looking very upset. Suddenly, he stood, and left the room. Yami sat up, and watched, then followed.
"Master?" The Dark Magician said, quietly, rising, and taking a hesitant step forwards.
"Stay here." Yami said, and followed Ryou to the kitchen. Neo, the Magic Swordsman stood as Ryou came in.
"Master Ryou?" He asked, and Ryou smiled, slightly.
"Hello, Neo." He said, quietly, and opened the back door.
"Is something wrong?"
"I, I just need to think." He said, quietly.
"You should not leave the house, young master."
"I'll be all right, Neo. Stay here." Ryou said, and went out onto the back porch. Neo looked upset, and started to follow.
"It's all right." Yami said, and Neo whirled.
"Pharaoh…"
"I'll go with him. You stay here." Yami said, and went out the back door, closing it behind him. Ryou was sitting on the back steps, with his head in his hands. Yami came up behind him.
"Ryou?" Ryou jumped, and turned to look up at Yami. Yami's eyes widened as Ryou's tear streaked face stared up at him. Yami sat down next to Ryou. "Nan desu ka?" Yami asked, and Ryou looked down, rubbing his eyes with his hands. They sat in silence for a moment.
"Yami?" Ryou said, softly. "What will happen to me, when I die?" Yami blinked, not sure how to answer.
"You will go to the after life, Ryou. Your soul will be taken by Anubis to be weighed on the scales of Thoth. And then, you will go to the Kingdom of Osiris."
"According to your beliefs, maybe." Ryou said. Yami looked down. "Is that heaven?"
"It is the afterlife."
"What about hell?"
"That is when your soul is devoured by Set, Ryou."
"I mean, Heaven and Hell, God and Satan." Yami was silent. "Or, Nirvana. Or, to be reincarnated. Or, when you die, is that the end?"
"Iie, Ryou. The soul is forever."
"Demo, where will my soul go? Who will I be with?"
"You will be in the afterlife, with those who have gone before you." Yami said, and put an arm around Ryou, who buried his face in his chest.
"And Bakura will remain in the Ring…"
"Hai."
"Yami, what if I don't want to go to the afterlife?"
"I don't understand."
"What if I want to stay here?"
"Ryou, we all die and go to the afterlife."
"Not you. Not Bakura."
"Our souls are bonded to the Millennium Puzzle, and Ring, Ryou. E have no choice."
"And those who go to the Kingdom of Osiris do?"
"They are happy to go, Ryou."
"But what if I'm not? What if I don't want to?"
"Ryou, nan desu ka?" Yami asked, as Ryou's shoulders shook with suppressed sobs.
"Bakura! I don't want to loose him! I'm only half without him! Without him, I'm dead inside! I want to stay with him forever, Yami! When I die, my soul will leave this world, and his will stay!" Yami held Ryou tightly, as he thought about this. "And I'll never see him again…" Ryou whimpered.
"There's nothing you can do, Ryou. Just enjoy the time you have with him."
"There's nothing I can do…." Ryou echoed, then, slowly, looked up into the pools of blood that were the crimson eyes of the Game King. "But there is something that you can do, Yami." Yami blinked, and frowned, slightly. Ryou sat up, and clutched the Ring.
"Ryou, what do you mean?" Yami asked, starting to get worried.
"Bakura is bonded to the Ring. Forever."
"Hai…."
"I want to stay with him. Forever."
"Hai….."
"To do that, my soul must be bonded to the Ring." Ryou said, firmly, and Yami's eyes widened, and his breath caught in his throat.
"Ryou!" He gasped. "You're not asking me to-"
"Seal my soul into the Ring?" Ryou finished. He looked down. "Yes. I am." Yami stared, not knowing what to do. Ryou was asking him to do something that Bakura had hated him for 5000 years.
"Ryou, you do not know what you ask."
"Don't I?" Ryou whispered, fiercely. "I'm asking for a chance to be whole, forever. Yami, what about Yugi? What will you do? You'll lose him, someday." Yami closed his eyes, upset. He grit his teeth.
"I enjoy every moment with him."
"Thinking that each moment may be your last, together?" Ryou asked, and Yami turned away. "Yami, I can't stand the thought of being without Bakura. I can't. He's everything. He dreamt that he lost me, and I started thinking, what if I lost him? Yami, I'd die. If I lose Bakura, I lose my heart. My will to live. I lose half of my soul. I don't want to be half a soul. I want to be with him. Please, Yami. As you love Yugi, understand how I love Bakura. I'm finally happy, for the first time in my life. I am whole, fulfilled. I don't want to loose this. Yami, please, all I'm asking, is that you give me the chance to be happy, forever." Yami put his head in his hands.
"Ketsueki is going to come for me, Yami. I know his is. And when he does, Bakura may not be able to stop him. As great as you all are, you, Bakura, the Dark Magician, all the others, you're not invincible. And I may still die. Yugi may still die, despite all your precautions. Please. Link me to the Ring. Let me become a part of it. Yami, please, I'm begging you. Tell me truth. Can you do it? Will you do it?" Ryou's voice came as a desperate plea. Yami stared into Ryou's frightened, desperate eyes. He sighed.
"It, it can be done." He said, quietly. "I have that power. But, I, I cannot do that Ryou. You would regret it, and so would I."
"Iie! I wouldn't! I cannot regret it! I want it! I would want it even if Bakura still hurt me! Please Yami! Don't leave me to lose him! Onegai!" Ryou's cries rose in pitch, and became hysterical. "I can't lose him! He's everything! I love him so much, it hurts! Onegai, Yami! Please! You sealed him! Seal me! If you don't I will never forgive you! I won't be able to! Yami! Please!" Yami stared at Ryou, who looked more frightened than he had ever seen him. His body shook uncontrollably, and the tears streamed down his face, from wide, terrified eyes. His knuckles were white, as he clutched the Millennium Ring. Yami frowned, and sighed.
"Ryou, if I were to do it, it would be permanent. Only the destruction of the Ring will free your soul, and that is nearly impossible."
"I don't care! It's what I want!"
"And what if the passion you have for Bakura, and he has for you, dies? What then?"
"I'll still be with him. We'll still be whole."
"Ryou, I can't do this."
"Yami. I don't care. You can, you're just afraid to."
"Yes. I am. I put Bakura through hell when I sealed him."
"That's because he was alone, Yami. That's why he suffered. If I were to die, he'd be sealed again, alone." Yami looked at Ryou, his words sinking in. "Please. He's afraid of that. I know he is. He told me. He dreamt that I died, and that he was sealed into the Ring again. And that he was alone. And he was afraid." Yami looked down .
"Ryou, I can link your soul to the ring. You would continue to live, a normal mortal. And when you died, your soul would be trapped in the Ring, like Bakura's."
"Yes. That's what I want. Yami, please. I have never wanted anything so much before. Please. Do it." Yami looked at Ryou's face, frightened, and desperate, but determined. Ryou took a deep breath. "If you don't, I'll find a way to do it myself." Yami jerked up right, and stared at Ryou. He searched Ryou's face, and he felt his heart lurch. He meant it. Ryou really meant it. A Sealing Spell was difficult, and if Ryou tried it, and messed it up, it would be disastrous. Yami sighed, and looked Ryou in the eyes.
"Very well, Ryou. I'll seal your soul into the Ring." Ryou blinked, as if not quite sure of what he had just heard, and then, his face splint into a delighted and relived grin.
"We'll have to do it quickly, Ryou. You know, Bakura would never let me."
"I know." Ryou said, and they both stood. Yami sighed, and looked down, and pulled them into the Shadow Realm.
"Let me have the Ring, Ryou." Yami said, and Ryou removed the Ring. Yami walked past Ryou, and Ryou stared.
"Uhhhh, has this temple always been here?" Ryou asked, chasing after Yami. He blinked, noticing that Yami was wearing robes of black and crimson, and that he himself was wearing long white robes. "And what's with the new wardrobe?" Ryou asked. Yami looked over his shoulder, and smirked, as they entered the temple.
"We have to do this quickly, Ryou. If Bakura finds out…"
"He's asleep, but I've closed the link, Yami." Ryou said. Yami nodded.
"As have I. Yugi may warn Bakura." They entered the temple, and Ryou looked around. At the other end of the cavernous room, was a raised platform, with an altar, and behind the altar was a stone figure, with it's hands outstretched over the altar, cupped to hold something. Along the sides of the room, were stone figures of all the Egyptian gods. Ryou was able to identify a few of them. The Jackal headed God of Death, Anubis, the Falcon headed son of Osiris, Horus, and Bastet, the cat goddess, and Sehkmet, the lioness. On the other side, was Osiris himself, and his queen, Isis, and Thoth, the Ibis. Then Set, the Devourer of Souls. Ryou shuddered. There were more gods and goddesses, ones that Ryou didn't know. Yami sighed, and turned to look at Ryou, who was looking nervous.
"Are you sure, Ryou? Once the ceremony starts, there can be no, change of heart." He smiled, wryly, and Ryou rolled his eyes.
"Man! Enough with the change of Heart jokes already. You've even got the Dark Magician doing it!" Yami chuckled, and Ryou gulped. "I'm sure, Yami. I want this."
"You look doubtful."
"Iie. No doubt. I'm just nervous. I don't know what's going to happen. Will it hurt?" Yami closed his eyes momentarily.
"Yes. It will, Ryou." He said, honestly. Ryou nodded.
"Well, after all Bakura used to put me through, I think I can take a little bit more pain." He said. Yami nodded.
"Well, if you're sure…."
"I am. Whenever you're ready." Ryou said, taking a deep breath. Yami nodded, and began to walk across the room, his eyes on the stone figure, chanting in Egyptian. Ryou gasped, when fire sprung to life in the torches around the room, and figures in hooded robes appeared from among the lines of the stone gods on either side of the room, joining in the chant. A pair of robed figures appeared by Ryou's sides, and seized his upper arms. They began guiding him across the room after Yami, who still held the Millennium Ring. He stopped before the altar, and stopped chanting.
Ryou's heart pounded when he turned, and gestured to the two figures. They pulled the white robes from his shoulders, and they fell around his ankles, leaving him fully exposed. Ryou felt a blush crawl across his cheeks, as he stared at Yami Yugi, who's crimson eyes never left his own brown orbs. Ryou felt hands lifting him off of his feet, and laying him on the altar. Yami tore his eyes from Ryou's, as the figures descended off of the raised platform. Yami's eyes turned up to the stone figure, and began chanting again. It was all gibberish to Ryou, until he heard something he had heard Bakura say many times. `Amun-Ra.' Ryou stared up at the stone figure who seemed to be staring down at him. The stone figure was the supreme God of the Egyptians, Ra.
Yami held up the Millennium Ring, and placed it in the outstretched hands of Ra. Then, Ryou froze, when he brushed aside his robes, and revealed a jeweled scabbard. Slowly, Yami drew the blade of the dagger, and held it up in both hands, eyes never leaving the stone idol. Ryou's heart pounded, and his mind kept screaming at him to run. But he refused, and stayed where he was. He trusted YamiYugi, even as the dagger twisted its point towards his chest, he trusted Yami Yugi. Yami looked down from the idol, and stared at Ryou's chest. Slowly, he lowered the dagger, until its tip was pressed into the ivory skin.
Ryou bit into his lip, as the metal bit into his flesh. The blade did not go deep, but Yami dragged across Ryou's chest, carving a circle into his flesh. Ryou whimpered, and his knuckles turned white as he gripped the edges of the altar, holding as still as possible. Yami completed the circle, and began to cut a triangle into the center. Ryou realized, he was carving the Millennium Ring into his chest. The hooded figures continued to chant, as Yami concentrated. He finished the triangle, and moved to the center of that, and began to cut the Sennen Eye into Ryou chest. Ryou was becoming dizzy at his loss of blood, and focused on Yami's face, frozen in concentration.
Suddenly, Yami's eyes flicked to Ryou's, and four hooded figures moved to each corner of the altar They seized Ryou's hands and legs, and held them down. Ryou knew to brace himself and tried to ignore the pain in his broken wrist. Yami moved the tip of the dagger to the center of the Sennen Eye. The figure's grips on Ryou strengthened, and Yami forced the dagger into Ryou's body, below the breastbone, where the two halves of the ribs meet.
Ryou's body arched up and writhed, as he threw his head back and screamed. Yami faltered, briefly, at the scream, but swallowed, and continued, slowly forcing the blade as deep as it could go, the blood welling up, thickly. Yami began to chant again, his voice strained, as he tried not to hear Ryou's pained cries, as he drew the dagger from his flesh. Yami lifted the blade, and held it over the Millennium Ring, letting three drops of blood fall onto the eye in the center of the artifact. He lay the dagger in the hands of Ra, and took the Ring, and laid it on Ryou's chest, over the bloody carvings. He laid his right hand on the Ring, and his left on Ryou's sweaty forehead, and his chanting grew louder. Ryou concentrated on the chanting, trying hard not to pass out. The hands holding him down vanished, and the Ring began to grow warm. Ryou felt a pulsing through his body, and he recognized it. He had felt the same pulse when Bakura touched him, when he was hurt. The pain from the wounds began to disappear, as he felt them heal. Yami continued the chant, and the glow from the Ring began to envelop Ryou's body. The glow was warm, and comfortable, and Ryou felt a smile tugging at him lips. Quite abruptly, the glowing stopped, and so had the chanting. Ryou slowly opened his eyes, and saw the concerned face of the Pharaoh staring at him. Ryou blinked, and stared at Yami, not knowing if he was aloud to speak yet. Yami closed his eyes.
"It is done, Ryou." He said, softly, and Ryou slowly sat up, and felt his chest. It looked different. He felt Yami's hand on his arm, drawing him off of the altar. Ryou slid off and stood, still looking at his chest. He noticed that Yami was, too. Ryou blushed, as Yami began to circle him, inspecting every inch of his naked form. When Yami came around in front of him, again, Ryou saw a look of amazement on his face.
"Your body…" Yami gasped. "You scars…." Ryou looked down, and gasped. That was it. That's what was different. "They're gone!" Yami gasped. Then, he blinked, and looked away, a blush forming on his cheeks. He swooped down, and picked up the white robes on the floor of the temple, and flung them round Ryou's shoulders, covering his nudity, while Ryou inspected his wrist, which was healed as well. Ryou looked at Yami.
"Arigato, Yami-chan! Domo arigato gozaimasu." He said, and threw his arms around Yami's neck. Yami blinked, then returned the embrace, holding Ryou's shoulders. After a moment, they stepped away, and stared at each other.
"Ryou!" They suddenly heard a voice call. They both turned to look at the entrance of the temple.
"Yami!" Yugi called, as he ran in, after Bakura, that Dark Magician at his heels.
***********
"The Dark Magician looked up as Bakura flew into a sitting position, gasping for breath, clutching his chest.
"Ryou!" Bakura screamed, and Yugi sat bolt upright as well. Bakura and Yugi stared at each other.
"Where are they?" Yugi asked, and Bakura swallowed.
"Ryou. He's in pain!" He gasped, and Yugi concentrated.
"Yami's put up his shields."
"So has Ryou." The yami and hikari stood, and Yugi whirled.
"Dark Magician! Here are they?!"
"I do not know, Little Master. Ryou went to the kitchen, and Master Pharaoh followed." The Dark Magician rose and followed Yugi and Bakura to the kitchen.
"Neo!" Bakura barked.
"Master?"
"Where's Ryou, and the Pharaoh?!"
"They went outside, Master." Neo said, and Bakura flung open the back door. Ryou and Yami's footprints could be seen in the snow on the steps, and they saw where they had been sitting. The footprints went to the base of the stairs, and disappeared.
"Where are they?" Yugi asked, and clung to Bakura's arm. Bakura closed his eyes, and concentrated.
"The Shadow Realm." He said, after a moment.
"Nani? Why would they go there?!" Yugi asked.
"I don't know. And I don't like it." Bakura said. "Hold on." And he pulled himself an the Pharaoh's hikari into the Shadow Realm. The Dark Magician followed.
"Where are they?" Yugi asked.
"There." The Dark Magician said, and pointed. Bakura and Yugi looked. Off in the distance was a large temple.
"The Temple of the Gods." Bakura gasped, and broke into a run, followed by Yugi and the Dark Magician. Yugi was gasping for breathe by the time they were sprinting up the steps of the temple. They entered, and stared. At the other end, before a bloody altar, stood Yami and Ryou. Ryou was in long, flowing white robes, and Yami wore black and red. Both looked a bit out of it.
"Ryou!" Bakura shouted.
"Yami!" Yugi called, relieved to see his dark. He followed as Bakura sprinted across the floor of the temple.
Bakura skidded to a stop about ten feet from Yami and Ryou. Yugi and the Dark Magician did too, staring at Bakura's face. Bakura's face had contorted, showing shock, horror, and confusion, as he stared at Ryou. Slowly, his hand rose, and clutched the duplicate Ring around his neck, and he paled, as he stared Ryou in the eyes. His mouth fell open, and he looked slightly ill. Then, he turned away from Ryou and faced Yami. His eyes burned as he stared at the Pharaoh.
"What. Did. You. Do?!?" He gasped, and, to everyone's surprise, Yami dropped his gaze, and stared at the floor, humbly, guiltily. He swallowed.
"Bakura. Gomen nasai." He said, quietly.
"What in the name of Ra did you do!?!" Bakura screamed.
"Bakura." Ryou said, quietly. Bakura turned to stare at Ryou, who was looking very nervous. "Don't be mad at Yami. I asked him to do it."
"Do what?" Bakura snarled. Ryou stared at the ground, fingering the Ring.
"Bakura, ashiteru. You're my other half. You're my heart, my soul. I can't survive without you. I never want to loose you. I want to be with you, forever."
"I, I know Ryou-chan." Bakura said. "And so do I."
"Forever?" Ryou asked.
"If only it were possible, Ryou." Bakura said, and moved to embrace Ryou. But as soon as he wrapped his arms around the little light, his body grew rigid, an he knew. Bakura gasped, an stepped back, staring at Ryou. Hen, he turned to glare at Yami.
"The Ring. You bonded him to the Ring!" He gasped. "You sealed his soul into the damned Ring!!!" Bakura screamed, and fell to his knees. Yugi, and the Dark Magician stared at Yami.
"Hai. I did. But only because he wanted it Bakura."
"He wanted it?" Bakura gasped. Ryou fell to his knees y Bakura, and flung his arms around his neck.
"I don't want to lose you. And, now I never will. We'll be together, forever. You did want that, right?" Ryou asked, his voice pleading. Bakura stared at him, then pulled him into his arms.
"Yes! Yes, I did, Ryou, but I didn't want for you to be cursed, as I am!"
"If I'm with you, it is no curse." Ryou said. Bakura absorbed Ryou's words, and held his light and cried. Yugi turned to look at Yami, who looked near tears himself.
"Yami, I don't understand." He said. Yami sighed.
"Ryou is linked to the ring, Yugi. The same way Bakura is. The way I am to the Puzzle. When Ryou dies, his soul will be trapped in the Ring, with Bakura's. They will be together, for all eternity." Yugi looked down, and thought about this.
"Yami?"
"Hai, Yugi-chan?"
"It sounds wonderful." Yugi said, and Yami looked up, sharply, staring at Yugi in horror.
"Yugi, no, you can't mean…" Yami looked at his Yami, and fingered the Puzzle. Ryou and Bakura watched this.
"I was afraid of that." Ryou said. Yugi looked up at Yami.
"Ashiteru, Yami-chan. Onegai…"
**************
Yugi and Ryou watched as Bakura draped a blanket over Yami's sleeping form. He had performed the Soul Sealing Ritual on Yugi, and then passed out, the Dark Magician barely catching him before he fell down the stairs that the altar was on.. Bakura had brought them back to the Physical world, and the Dark Magician lay Yami down on the sofa.
"Will he be all right, Dark Magician?" Yugi asked.
"Yes, Little Master. Master Pharaoh will be fine." Bakura smirked, an went to check in with Silver Fang, Celtic Guardian, and Neo again.
"Everything's cool." He said, coming in. Ryou sighed, and looked at the clock. 4:00 am. He collapsed back into the sleeping bag. Bakura sat next to him, and Yugi curled up in the arm chair, falling asleep, immediately, and Ryou not far behind. Bakura sighed, and brushed Ryou's bangs out of his face, smiling. He looked up at the Dark Magician, who was watching him. Suddenly, Bakura thought of something.
"Dark Magician," He said, and the tall being looked at him. "The man who's after us, he was originally after something that he called the Scepter of the Game King." The Dark Magician blinked. "But Yami doesn't know what it is, even though it's supposed to be his. Do you know anything?"
"I do not know of what you speak, Tomb Robber."
"Grrrr….. Don't call me that!"
"What would you have me call you?"
"Uh, well, Bakura…"
"Very well, Bakura. I do not know of this, Scepter of the Game King."
"Oh. Well, I figured I'd ask…"
"I'm sorry I could not help, Bakura." Bakura sighed, and looked down at Ryou again.
"That's all right." Bakura mumbled, and lay down, thinking. Ryou snuggled up to him in his sleep, and Bakura held him, as he slowly drifted off.
************
Ryou woke before the others, and, with a smile at the Dark Magician, went to the kitchen to fix breakfast, bidding good morning to Neo the Magic Swordsman. He then proceeded to make pancakes, answering constant questions that the curious Duel Monster was asking. He even got Neo to try a pancake, even though the Duel Monsters really didn't eat. The smell of the pancakes woke Yami, and he stumbled into the kitchen, muttering something about sugar. Ryou giggled. His own yami was a sugar addict. But Ryou had heard from Yugi that Yami was a caffeine addict as well, so he had put on some coffee for the former Pharaoh. He poured a cup, and held it out to Yami, who blinked at him blearily.
"Here Yami. Have some coffee." Ryou said, cheerfully, and Yami blinked again.
"Huh?" He said, stupidly.
"Coffee. Caffeine. Good. Drink." Ryou giggled, and put the cup in Yami's hands, and he blinked again, before sipping it, then grinned, and began to down it all in a hurry, much to Ryou and Neo's amusement. Then, while Ryou got out the syrup and the butter, Yami went over to the sink, and splashed cold water onto hi face. He gasped, at the freezing water, then looked around.,
"Mm, good morning Ryou. Thanks for the coffee."
"There's more if you'd like some."
"Yes, I would. Thank you." Yami said, and poured some coffee while Yugi shuffled in, yawning, and rubbing his eyes. "Good morning, Yugi." Yami said, and sipped his coffee.
"Mornin." Yugi said. "Hi Ryou."
"Hi, Yugi. Pancakes?" Yugi perked up.
"Yes, please." Ryou put a stack of pancakes on two plates, and set them down in front of the two spiky haired teens, then turned and made another enormous plate, which he placed on the table, before sitting down with his own pancakes. Yugi and Yami eyed the enormous stack of pancakes on the fourth plate, until Bakura staggered in, sniffing the air, followed by the Dark Magician.
"Pancakes." He snarled, and sat down at the enormous plate, pulled out his switch blade, and began to mutilate them thoroughly. Yami had stopped chewing to stare, and Yugi's fork froze halfway to his mouth. Ryou simply ignored Bakura, well used to his table manners. Bakura speared a large amount of pancakes onto his knife, and transferred them to his mouth. Yami blinked, and continued chewing, and Yugi merely shrugged before continuing with his own meal.
"Yami, don't you think we should send them back to the Shadow Realm?" Ryou said, gesturing to the Dark Magician and Neo. "They look tired." Yami looked up, and had to agree.
"Hai. I will summon others to take their place. Excuse me." He got up, and resumed the Dark Magician, while Ryou sent Neo back. Yami left the room to call back the Celtic Guardian and Silver Fang. He came back a moment later. "Feral Imp is at the front door, and Mystical Elf is in the study." He said. "Yugi, we need to go home and check on your grandfather when you're done." He shuffled through his deck, looking for two more monsters to summon. Ryou smiled, and pulled a card.
"Lady of Faith." He said and the Lady of faith sprung to life, and was given instructions to guard the kitchen. "We shouldn't need a fourth, if Bakura stay with me." Ryou said, and Yami reluctantly nodded. Yugi finished his pancakes, and the two got dressed. Ryou and Bakura cleaned the kitchen, then saw Yami and Yugi off. Bakura closed the front door, while Ryou eyed the Feral Imp in nervous curiosity.
"I'm gonna take a shower." Ryou said, and headed upstairs, followed by Bakura.
"I have to come with you." Bakura said. Ryou rolled his eyes.
"Why don't you just wait in the bedroom. There is no other way into the bathroom an you can search it first." Bakura chuckled.
"What are you worried about? I've seen you naked before." Ryou blushed.
"Well, it's hard to bathe with someone watching you."
"All right, all right. But the Pharaoh wouldn't approve."
"Since when would you care about Yami's approval? `I don't care if he is the Pharaoh, he's not ordering me around in my home!' Weren't those your words exactly?" Ryou looked at Bakura, who blinked,, then laughed.
"All right, all right, you've got me there." He said, and watched Ryou go into the bathroom and close the door. "Don't lock it!"
"All right!" Ryou called back. Bakura sighed, and stripped off his pajamas, and went to the closet. He pulled on some clean boxers, but didn't feel like wearing anything else. Hell, he would parade around in the nude if it wouldn't upset Ryou. He waited around, shuffling through his deck, looking through Ryou's overstuffed bookcase, and guiltily remembering the time he had beaten Ryou with no excuse other than the fact that all he did was sit around his room and read. Of course, because of that, Bakura had managed to teach himself how to read, and he was grateful for that. Ryou came out of the bathroom and Bakura turned to look at Ryou, in a towel. Ryou was looking at Bakura, then looked down at himself, and blushed, looking away.
"M- may I get dressed?" He mumbled. Bakura blinked. The last time Ryou had come out of the bathroom in a towel, Bakura had beat him into unconsciousness. Bakura saw it in Ryou's mind.
"Oh, Ryou…" He said, and walked across the room. He embraced his light, holding him gently. "Gomen nasai, koi." Ryou wrapped his arms around Bakura's waist, and lay his head, on Bakura's chest.
"Gomen, Bakura-chan. My soul tells me that you've changed, but my body and instincts tell me different." Ryou said. Bakura tilted Ryou's face up, and kissed him, gently. Ryou responded with a passion that Bakura didn't expect. Ryou opened his mouth, practically begging Bakura to invade and when he didn't immediately, Ryou's tongue darted across Bakura's lips. Bakura's mouth opened, and Ryou pushed his tongue in. Bakura moaned, a Ryou pressed his body hard against him, his arousal made obvious, pressed into Bakura's thigh. Bakura broke the kiss.
"What the hell has come over you?" He asked, laughing. Ryou looked at him, eyes clouded in passion. He frowned, confused, and shrugged, then lay his head on Bakura's chest again. Bakura tilted Ryou's face so they were staring each other in the eye. Bakura smiled. "Whatever it is, I like it." He said, in a husky voice, and Ryou smiled, when Bakura kissed him harshly, his tongue immediately gaining access to Ryou's hot mouth. Bakura reached one hand down, an with a flick of his nimble fingers, Ryou's towel fell around his ankles. Bakura turned and shoved Ryou backwards against the bed, lifting his body onto it. Bakura crawled over Ryou, brushing lightly against him. Ryou moaned, which Bakura silenced with another kiss. Bakura broke it again, and sat back, staring down at his light. His eyes widened, and Ryou looked at him, blushing at the intense scrutiny his naked body was under.
"Ryou! What happened?!" Bakura gasped.
"Nani?"
"I, just noticed, your body!"
"It's been here the whole time, Kura." Ryou said, laughter in his tone. Bakura frowned.
"Urusai, you know what I mean."
"I do?"
"You, your scars. They're gone!"
"Oh, that. It happened when Yami bonded me to the Ring. My wrist, too." Ryou said, holding his hand up. Bakura took Ryou's wrist in his hands, and stared, then smiled.
"I'm glad." He said, and kissed the inside of Ryou's wrist. "You're beautiful, Ryou. You really are. Every inch of you is flawless." Ryou blushed, making Bakura smile. "Ashiteru watashi no tenshi aisuru."
"Ashiteru watashi no koibito." Ryou said, and Bakura leaned down, claiming to boy's lips again. He felt Ryou's hands slide to the waistband of his boxers, and slide them off of his hips, and down his thighs. Bakura leaned on one elbow, holding himself up, and ran his other hand through Ryou's wet hair, getting caught in small snarls here and there. Ryou's arms curled around his shoulders, and then moved down, to encircle his waist. Bakura smiled, slightly, tongue still entwined with Ryou's, when he felt Ryou's hands pulling his hips lower. Bakura lowered his hips, and they both moaned when their bodies met. Bakura moved his lips down to Ryou's throat, lightly rubbing against Ryou's body, teasing the boy. Ryou panted and moaned, lifting his hips, rubbing against his lover. Suddenly, there was a gasp at the door. Bakura and Ryou sat straight up, and met Yugi and Yami's stares, as they stood frozen in the doorway. Bakura felt his face flush, and noticed Ryou turning a brilliant shade of pink.
"Uhhh….." Bakura said.
"G-gomen nasai!" Yugi squeaked, trying to find his legs.
"Haven't you two done that enough all ready?" Yami scolded. Bakura frowned.
"You're just jealous, Pharaoh." He snarled, then, his face lit up. "But if you want, you're welcome to join us." Yami's eyes widened, and his mouth fell open, and, to Bakura's delight, he turned brick red.
"I, I, I, uh…." He stammered, and Bakura grinned.
"Awww, you know you want too. After all, Ryou is sexy. Almost as sexy as me." Ryou, if possible, turned even more red, and was looking anywhere but at the three other people in the room. Bakura slowly slid off of Ryou, and stood, facing Yami. Yugi rubbed his forehead, and averted his eyes from Bakura's nude body, blushing. Yami stared Bakura in the eye, as the former thief strode across the room, until he stood directly in front of the shorter boy. They stared at each other for a few moments, Bakura seemingly studying Yami. Suddenly, Bakura seized Yami's face, and crushed his mouth against the crimson eyed spirit's lips. Ryou and Yugi stared, eyes wide. Yami's eyes widened, then, slowly, slid closed, and he responded to Bakura's kiss, demanding access to Bakura's mouth, not letting Bakura dominate him. His hands fell onto Bakura's waist, and Yami moved closer.
/I can't believe your doing that./ Yugi sent to his Yami.
//I'm sorry, are you mad?//
/Uh, give me a minute to absorb the fact that you and Bakura are making out…../
Yami chuckled, and Bakura moved away, frowning. Yami looked at Yugi, who had a confused look on his face.
"Aibou?" He said, softly. Yugi moved over to Ryou's desk and sat down in the chair, blinking stupidly. Yami knelt in front of Yugi, looking up into his violet eyes. "Yugi…."
/You still love me, right?/
//Nani? Of course! I love no one above you, Yugi. You know that. Never doubt it.//
/You kissed Bakura./
//He kissed me.//
/You kissed him back./
//I will not allow him any sort of dominance over me.//
/You and your stupid pride./
//Urusei.//
/…… Yami-chan?/
//Hai?// Yami answered, and Yugi looked up.
/Ashiteru./ Yugi said, and wrapped his arms around Yami's shoulders.
"You're free to join in, too, Yugi." Bakura said, sliding back onto the bed, next to Ryou. Yugi looked up, startled. Ryou smiled at Yugi.
"Ignore him, he likes to make people blush all the-ahh!" Ryou gasped, when Bakura grabbed his length, stroking it firmly. Ryou gasped for breathe, eyes glazed over. Bakura kissed him, while he continued to stroke him.
"Bakura…" Ryou moaned, and lifted his hips slightly, eyes falling closed. Yugi stared, eyes bugging out of his head. Yami stood, and, to Yugi's shock, pulled off his jacket, followed by his shirt.
"Yami, you must be kidding!" Yugi gasped.
"I most certainly am not. I can't just sit here and watch them." Yami said, then whirled, and crushed his lips against Yugi's dragging the jacket off of his light. While the two boys proceeded to get undressed, Bakura had switched places with Ryou, lying under his light, for a first. Bakura was mentally "coaching" his light, helping him through. Bakura moaned, when Ryou worked one of his fingers into the Spirit. Yami and Yugi slid onto the bed next to them, as Ryou prepared Bakura.
Yami turned away from Yugi, and to Ryou, while Yugi lay down next to Ryou and Bakura. Ryou gasped, when Yami slid one finger into him, twisting it around, before adding a second finger, then a third. Ryou moaned, and shoved back, when Yami thrust his fingers in and out of Ryou a few times. Bakura then drew Ryou's attention back to him. He grabbed Ryou's hips, then lifted his own, and pulled Ryou into him. Ryou gasped, and Bakura moaned, when the light penetrated the dark.
Bakura had to wait a moment to adjust; it had been 5000 years since he had been on the this end of the equation, with his lover, Marik. Finally, he focused on Ryou, who was staring at him, eyes wide, mouth agape, and cheeks flushed. Then, he looked to Yami, who had moved behind Ryou. Yami looked at Bakura, silently asking permission. Bakura nodded, and Ryou gasped, as Yami began to push into him. He whimpered, and let his head fall to Bakura's chest, teeth clenched at the pain.
Yugi watched all this, unable to look away. He was getting turned on in a major way, watching the two darks and his fellow light. Yami pulled Ryou off of Bakura's chest, and Yugi suddenly found Bakura's arm snaking around him and pulling him over to them, until he was perched on Bakura's chest, practically straddling his face. Bakura took Yugi into his mouth, and Yugi gasped, then moaned, leaning back against Ryou.
Yami began to slowly thrust in and out of Ryou, causing him to move within Bakura, making the Spirit groan with the pleasure it sent through him. Yugi suddenly shifted, so he was facing Ryou, and let his head fall, hair brushing against Ryou's abdomen, and sixty-nined Bakura, who gasped at the sudden sensation. Bakura smirked to himself. Giving and getting a blowjob while being taken all at once was new to him. Above Bakura and Yugi, Yami was gasping into Ryou's ear, rubbing his hands over the pale boy's chest, rolling his nipples under his finger tips, while Ryou's hands were wrapped around the back of his thighs. Ryou was whimpering in pleasure as he was thrust into, rocking against Bakura. Ryou let his head fall back, and Yami's lips found his, and they engaged in a passionate kiss.
Suddenly, Bakura began a chain reaction when he deep-throated Yugi, who came with a gasp, and deep throated Bakura in turn. Bakura gave a strangled cry, and Ryou whimpered, breaking the kiss, when Bakura clenched around him. Yami thrust into Ryou as hard as he could, and Ryou climaxed with a scream. The spasm rippled through Ryou's slim body, and Yami threw his head back, and groaned, as he followed his lovers' example, and came hard into Ryou. All four boys collapsed onto the bed, completely tangled with each other as they tried to regain their senses. Yami and Bakura came around to find Ryou and Yugi curled up in each other's arms, staring off into space. The two darks smiled at each other and lay with their lights, encasing the two boys with their bodies, Yugi's back pressed into Bakura's chest, and Ryou against Yami. Bakura dragged the fallen blanket off of the floor and onto the bed effectively covering all four of them, in Ryou's Queen sized bed. Yami was already halfway asleep, and Bakura happily followed.
