Chapter five

Author's note: I do not own Yu-gi-oh! So in this chapter someone gets kidnapped, people come back from college and well....read for yourself.

Yugi: Yugi here, just speaking first so Yami doesn't throw a fit.
Yami: I was NOT throwing a fit.
Serenity: you're such a liar.
Yami: If I do recall you're MY wife and supposed o be on MY side.
IxJL: Maybe she dun wanna!
Joey: Hun, stay out of it.
IxJL: But I love drama, I'm addicted to it!

Dear Journal,
HAH! 12thgrade! I can't believe Mai failed and Joe passed. Serenity gave birth to a beautiful baby boy named E.J. And surprisingly, it isn't substituted for anything. His name is just...E.J. He has Yami's skin tone and eyes, but Serenity's hair color (but Yami's style) lips, ears, and all that Jazz. Joey, Malik, Yami, Tristan, and Bakura went to College (FINALLY!) but I don't know how I'm gonna function without them. It's been a year and I STILL feel like I'm being stalked. I swear I saw Joey's dad watching me from a bus yesterday!

“Isis.” Isis jumped up and stared shockingly into glittering purple orbs.
“Yes Yugi?” Yugi blushed.
“You want some coffee?”
“Yeah.” She ran her fingers through her hair. “I just miss the guys.”
“I know.” Yugi dabbed his eyes and sat down two mugs of coffee. “I do too!” Isis sighed and opened her eyes as Yugi fell into them and started the water works.
“I MISS THEM SO MUCH!” People who walked by looked at them confused and Isis gave a reassuring smile that nothing was going on. Serenity watched form the opposite side of the room. She had been moved up a grade and now she conversated with her new friend Trina. Mai walked over and sat.
“Poor Yugi.......anyways so Isis, I heard baby face is coming back with the posse! What are you and lover boy going to do?” Yugi sat up and blew his nose.
“Mai if you don't come out of the 21st century I'm going to slap you into the 26th one.” Mai laughed.
“So ANYWAYS, Joey is coming back with the boys, what are you and hot stuff doing?” Yugi smiled.
“Better.” Isis shook her head and smiled.
“I don't even think we're going to have time to ourselves.”
“What do you mean?! Ya'll are spending the whole weekend together!”
“Not exactly. We have to talk about adding a room for the nursery. And then we have other business to discuss like bills, college funds, we have to buy stuff for little Joseph Jesbi Junior.” Mai laughed.
“Let's hope he gets you're wits and not the hubby's” Serenity all of a sudden bomb rushed them.
“WHAT?!”
“OH MY GOSH! The daycare just called and they said a strange man came up there and tried to check out E.J but they wouldn't let him because he isn't on the pick-up list. They said he kept arguing about that he was E.J's granddad and finally left, but now, E.J's missing!” Isis needed to hear no more. She jumped up and pulled Serenity and Mai out to the car.
Isis smiled as Joey walked up the stairs of the porch with Yami and Tristan. “HEY BABE!” Joey picked Isis up and spun her around.
“Oh I missed you so much!” Joey showered Isis with kisses as Yami and Tristan ran inside to Serenity, Mai, and E.J.
“Oh I have so much to tell you!” Joey said, putting Isis down.
“We talk on the phone almost everyday! What else is there to talk about?”
“A LOT!” Isis laughed and turned to walk in. Joey looked over to the railing and swore he saw a pair of eyes in the bushes. Isis pulled him in so he didn't get to second guess it. ~/ Maybe it was dog or a raccoon......or...come...mutant rat.....naked mole rat. /~ “So how has ya'll day been ladies?” Tristan asked wrapping his arm around Mai. The girls exchanged glances.
~Flashback~
“I don't know how to track down babies OR stalkers!” Isis said trying to control the car and the map newly installed in it.
“Mai, you've had plenty of stalkers, any idea how to find one?”
“1. They just turn themselves over to me. 2. Dealing with a crying chaotic mother and 3. I have no clue how to track them down.”
“Well we're going back to Ren's apartment to regroup.” As they climbed the stairs, they heard a baby crying. Serenity's ears perked up.
“E.J!?” She bounded up the stairs with Mai and Isis following closely behind. From a distance they saw a mysterious figure round a cornerand small figure sitting on the ground. As serenity approached her apartment she saw the figure was sitting infront of HER door. She picked it up and hugged it tight.
“E.J!” Mai and Isis rushed over to her and handed him to them. She picked up a card that was sitting next to where he was sitting.
Note:
I'm watching you.
@_@
Serenity let the card slip form her fingers before fainting.
~End Flashback~
“Yami, Serenity and E.J are staying over him for the weekend.” Yami gave a sideways glance.
“I am?”
“We are.” Serenity said and E.J made a crazy siren sound.
“You are.” Isis said smiling and looked at Joey.
“I'm cool with it.” Isis sighed happily and relaxed.
~Next day~
Isis POV
The day seemed to go by quicker than usual. We planned out were the nursery was going to be and they made me sit out while they started building. I didn't care, I had fun watching Joe work. He had turned into a...not a prep....but.....he dressed a lot more sophisticated and wore glasses and was really into his work. He even started speaking like a normal person and kept his hair neat. Wow. I wonder what girl he's trying to impress. (Laugh).........but even though I joke......is something really going on with this change?

Joey's POV
This morning was going great. We had nothing to argue about. We talked to the contractor and decided to get started today. I made Isis sit out though. I didn't want her straining herself. My day was like a big shinny sun, until I saw the first look that wasn't a smile or anything close to it on Isis' face. I watched as she mounted the stairs slowly like something was bothering her...or racking on her mind.
~Normal POV later~
“Hungry?”
“Duh! You're talking to a pregnant woman here!” Joey laughed.
“Whatcha want?” Joey started sorting through cabinets.
“Hm, I like the sound of potato's baked in sugar and them spaghetti covered in sugar and a double cheesecake brownie smothered in steak sauce.” Joey raised a brow and shrugged.
“All RIGHTY THEN!” Isis laughed, but it quickly went away and Joey noticed on a dime.
“Hun.”
“.........”
“Hun?” Joey turned o see her quietly asleep on the counter. Joey smiled and walked over to her. She looked uncomfortable. She was sitting on a stool hunched over and head resting on the counter.
“Isis.”
“Hm?”
“Is something wrong?”
“Stop.....” Joey cocked his head to the side.
“Hun?”
“Don't lie. (Mumble) Is there someone else?”
“Isis?”
“Who is it Joey!?”
“ISIS!” Isis jumped and stared at him.
“What Joey?' Isis said cranky.
“Got something on your mind?”
“No.” Isis got up and helped him make dinner. They ate quietly and watched movies quietly. No intimacy, no arguing, no crying, no emotion except tension. As they lay in bed Joey finally had had enough.
“You got something you want to ask me?”
“No, why?”
“Isis.” Isis winced as she heard the rising coldness in his voice, but was soon going to melted by anger. She turned to look at him and almost jumped out of her skin when she saw him. It was nothing abnormal, but the fire in his eyes made the room hot to her and by the moonlight shinning through the bay window she could see the fats rising color on his face.
“I know you have something to ask me.” he pulled her close and put her in a tight lock hold. She tried to scramble away but he wouldn't allow it. She started hitting him in the chest, but somehow it wasn't hurting him.
“JOEY LET GO!”
“Isis tell me the TRUTH!”
“Why are you making such a big DEAL out of this?!”
“It seems to be a very important question.” Isis tried to take her eyes away from his but it was like some natural hold keep them locked so she closed them.
“I hate a lot of things. Among the top is Drunks and Alcohol, drugs, lying and liars.” Isis' eyes flew open, her own anger rising.
“What is THAT supposed to mean?” Joey was shocked by the sharpness in HER tone. ~/ So she's trying to make me the villain now? /~
“I know what the question is because you mumbled it while you were sleep in the kitchen.” All of Isis rage melted.
“I was waiting to see if you were going to tell me, but obviously you didn't intend on it.”
“You don't seem like one that would take it easy.” Joey jumped, shocked. ~/ I know she is not trying to turn me into a villain/~
“HAVE I BEEN SO UNKIND TO YA!? DIS IS INSANE ISIS!” Isis tried to wiggle away. ~/ the old him...what have I done? /~
“Joey-”
“You think I'm cheating on you.”
“But baby-”
“NO! You think I'm cheating on you with a son coming along and our relationship getting better, why would I?”
“Joey I'm-”
“I thought you had more trust in me, in us.” Joey let her go and turned away. Isis sighed and turned away, letting tears fall carelessly.
~Next day Isis POV~
When I woke up, Joey wasn't beside me. I knew he hadn't been gone that long because I could still smell his honey flavored scent on his pillow and oh what a great smell that is. Then I remember what happened last night. I got up and went into the hall. Luggage was at the front door. I slowly walked down the stairs some.
“Going somewhere?” I asked innocently, praying it wasn't what it looked like as Joey walked into the foyer.
“Actually, yes. I'm going back to America so I can get back to studying.”
“But why?”
“I'll be back in April.” I calculated up in my mind. It's November, December, January, February, 4 MONTHS!? Why so long?”
“I have college exams and in plus, I need sometime to myself.”
“Well, can't you just...you know, take a walk?”
“No, Isis. That's not what I mean.”
“What are you saying then Joey?”
“......I think we need to separate.” I drew a sharp breath and bit my lip.
“Until I come from college, so you won't have a problem with me messing around, if I do.” I tasted something salty and then knew I had drawn blood. Thank goodness it was alittle, but the situation before me was huge.
“And you the one that talked about having a son on the way.” I collapse on the staircase and start crying. Joey's jaw hardened. He sighed and glared at me.
“Toughen up and grow up, because I refuse to marry and untrusting child.” He jerked up his luggage and left.
~Serenity's POV~
As soon as I heard the door slam and Isis crying, I knew something was wrong. I found Isis on the staircase and Joey was nowhere to be found. Yami and I managed to move Isis to her bedroom.
“It's going to be ok Isis. I know Joey can be a....jerk at times but he'll come around.” I say trying to console her and reassure myself. She just shook her head and cried harder.
