Rumours flew through the Kingdom of the Shadow Realm. Whispers of furious curiosity 'I heard the Realm of Light has a new heir.He's beautiful.He's deadly.Killer of the dark.. never failed in a duel.. He possesses the millennium puzzle just like our lord.He's a slayer. I didn't realize Surogoku had a heir.'

A tall-spire palace stood apon a cliff of shadow marble also known as black onyx, which overlooking the city below it. It was a large intimidating building, made of dark stone. Creepers grew over the wall, but in a controlled fashion. There was always a cense of Egyptian quality to the palace, writing and scripts decorated the hallways while fountains were home to lush water lilies in the courtyard.


The sun was just beginning to peek over the horizon, it's rays gliding over the landscape and giving it a golden sheen. At one of the balconies stood a tall figure that looked over the city with contemplative thoughts.


//SO. Surogoku has a son// the dark figure stood stiffly; lean muscular arms were crossed over a broad chest as piercing red eyes swept over the shadow Realm. Shadows played across his face, only allowing on-lookers to see their Lord's perfect mouth in a full-lipped smirk.


For generations, mankind and darkness have fought a fruitless battle, never backing down to each other. Until Surogoku and three of his council members staged a meeting with the shadow realm and a peace treaty was formed. But each Kingdom has other plans that are broadening on the horizon.


The smirk grew wider, showing off a row of perfect white teeth and patruding canines. "If you keep smirking like that, Yami I'm gonna have to wander about your sanity" came a smooth voice behind him.


"Who says I was sane to begin with?" a genuine smile came to Yami's face as he turned round to face Seto Kaiba, his first in command and Bakura his second in command.

Seto's hair was a chocolate brown that was thick and fell messily in his deep cobalt blue eyes that held few emotions. He is tall, lean and wore a dark grey or blue trench coat with tight leather pants and a silk black top. High chiselled cheekbones made the boy wear a constant frown.


Next to him stood Bakora, who was a head smaller then Kaiba. Near-white locks framed creamy coloured face. Startlingly intense gaze that was fixed on Yami. He wore similar attire as to Seto but without the trench coat.


"You have news for me Bakura?" Yami asked him, who bowed a low sweeping bow and a smirk crossed over his fair features.


"I do. It seems the rumours were based on a true source, Surogoku does have an heir"


"So it is true." Yami breathed. "Did you see him?" Bakura's smirk wavered slightly.


"Yes, I did. He has a remarkable resemblance to you, Yami. Except he is shorter, innocent and has an air of trust to him" Yami smiled at the last comment. //Then that would be his downfall// He thought, pressing his back against the balcony wall behind him.


"He doesn't have an heir of his own does he?" Yami asked, eyes levelling with Seto's.


"You must be joking, He's only sixteen. Hasn't even been betrothed yet. His followers call him the Virgin Prince" came the reply.


"The virgin Prince, leader of the Light Realm. how fitting. You say he's sixteen? Kind of young to be leading a war torn Kingdom, isn't it?"


"Yami, your eighteen, you were seventeen when you became leader, he isn't much younger then you" came the exasperated voice of Bakura.


"So what are you going to do? Set up a meeting with the light realm?" Seto asked shifting next to Yami, by the balcony wall, leaning his hip against the smooth surface.
"No need. We are invited to attend a banquet in his honour of becoming leader. You and two of your most trusted bodyguards" this time it was Yami's time to snort.


"And you'll never guess who's coming?" Seto's eyes flashed with a menacing gleam. Only one person could make Seto's blood boil by the thought of him. And not in a good way either.


"Pegasus" Yami growled. Pegasus is the archenemy of the shadow Realm longer then that of the Light realm. A man of sick ideas and twisted plan of an ideal future.


"Yeah, he's pretending to lay down his weapons in hope of a peaceful future. He has an unhealthy interest in the heir. If your going to take action on the Light Realm, now is your chance" Yami frowned in thought. // This is it.no going back.//


"Fine. We capture the heir and the most powerful leader he has, rendering the Light Realm. In return for their safety, The Light Realm will surrender their Kingdom to us. Then we make plans of War against Pegasus" The other two nodded in agreement.


//Then it will be done.//

Pegasus stared down in the swirling pool where the three teenagers profiles were being shown. He smiled a grotesque smile. A smile totally devoid of any humour, only sickly intentions. His long slender fingers reached up to play with a lock of lavender coloured hair.

"We shall see who comes out top, Yami" and the pool faded back to transparent water.
