CHAPTER (what is it again?) 6

This was the first morning that Seto Kaiba ever called in sick to school. The school administrator

looked over at the student helpers and said "That boy must really be sick, he's never missed a

single day of school. The only other absence we have from his class today is Tea Gardner. Her

uncle called her in sick today".

"What was that? Tea has an uncle?" Said a soft spoken voice (did I mention that day was Bakuras day

to help in the office? real coincidence eh?) "why would HE call her in sick?".

The school administrator clammed up right away "None of your business, if she didn't tell you

herself".

Bakura could hardly wait to get out of the office.

"What! Tea has an uncle? why would he call in sick for her? why wouldn't her parents?" Yugi was

uncharastically talkative. The other boys were also trying to ask the same question, but in

different ways.

Bakura sighed. "The administrator shut up before I could get anything out of her. I didn't find

anything more "

"well maybe we should go back to the scene of the crime and search for clues"

"okay joey? no1 , there wasn't any crime as far as I can tell and no2 stop reading those Hardy boys

books.James Bond is so much better".

"Yeah only to you Brit boys and anyway he has a different girlfriend each movie and the Hardy boys

have managed to keep theirs "

"uh guys? maybe we could get back to the subject we were talking about 20 seconds ago?" Tristan cuts

in before the conversation turns into a Britian vs America debate (not that I would mind to see who

would win though).

"Yeah, we can watch you guys fight anytime we want. Maybe we should ask Tea about it when she comes

back to school".

So they all turned and walked out of class. Yugi stopped suddenly as a usually calm voice spoke from

within //Yugi? there is something dark out there//

\\what is it Yami? can you sense where it is coming from?\\

//No... but let me take over for now//

A bright light came from the puzzle as they traded places. This caught the attention of the others,

who turned back and asked the same question.

"Yami? what's wrong?" Yami smiled for the brifest moment , then was all business.

"There is something dark out here, I was worried".

There was another flash of light, and Yami Bakura stood before them.

"I was getting the same impression, oh mighty pharaoh" last part said with sarcasm and a look at

Yami.

Yami Bakura was a lot nicer to Bakura, but still acted tough in front of the pharaoh.

Yami bristled "Well, so nice that you grace us with your presence" This also said with sarcasm.

Tristan and Joey stepped in before THIS turns into a puzzle vs ring battle.

"uh guys, don't you think we should try to find this evil and not stand here listening to you guys

arguing like two jealous boys over a girl?" Joey quipped as Tristan got in between them.

"Right " said Yami. "we should split up and search in teams of two"

"Yes, Tristan comes with me coz frankly, Joey drives me up the wall sometimes"

"Hey! what did I ever do to you?"

"Forget it, lets just go" Said Yami and they split up.

"Oh Dammit , the pharoah is here too! not to mention that idiot grave robber! If they saw it was me,

they would figure out what I was after! I can't get to the girl here, I will have to find another

way to get to her!"

said you -know- who. Running down the road, he stopped at the elementary school. "Of course! But maybe

I should save this idea till last. I would like to keep this quiet for as long as possible. wait,

why am I talking to myself? (must be catching) maybe I will try to drive her insane with many

appearances".

'geez' thought Seto. 'this must be the first time in history that I ever called in sick., but I

think I am needed here' lounging around on the pool chair he wondered if he meant what he thought

last night. 'do I really care about her? she is one of Yugi's friends, He is my enemy , I won't rest

until I see him defeated! but.....' He sighed looking around the room. 'She .... something about her

just ... I dunno' A creek sounded from the kitchen. Getting up, Seto crept to the door and kicked it

open.

"aaaaaahhhhhhh!!!!" A bowl of white cake batter went flying, landing on Seto as he charged into the

room.

'oh gross' he took the bowl off his head and started wiping himself off 'mmmm vanilla' he thought.

"Oh my gosh Seto I'm so sorry!" Tea had been baking a cake to thank him with, now she was looking at

him in horror. He smiled at her embarrasment.

"That's okay, I was the one who charged in"

Tea started laughing. Seto blinked at her. "what's your problem?"

"You should see yourself, you look like frosty the snowman"

"oh right" said Seto, picking up some batter "how would you like to look just like me?"

Tea gasped "you wouldn't!" she said as she started to run.

"Oh yes I would!" He said charging after her .

Somehow, the chase ended up with both of them in the pool. Laughing, Tea swam up to Seto and said:

"I didn't know you had such good aim"

"It's a family trait"

"Oh, right . Thats how you hit that guy with your blue eyes in Battle city!"

Seto chuckled "well he had it coming to him".

Tea laughed too. Then suddenly, she stopped. "I should probably call Mai and ask her to pick me up

soon"

Seto glanced at her. "You know... you could stay here if you want .Mokubah could sure use the company

whenever I am at work." This being said full well knowing he was the one who wanted the company.

Tea smiled at him, knowing what he really meant and wanting to stay too "I would like that".

They smiled at each other and started to climb out of the pool.
