Chapter 22: Saying Goodbyes

"Um...Tamra? I think that someone wants to talk to you." I looked at Yami as everyone turned to me.

"Why do you say that?"

"Because.....turban head is behind you." I glared at Bakura. I knew who he meant.

"You're a jerk Bakura." I turned around to face Shadi in the face when I felt a small pull on my chair.

I jumped as Shadi was pulling my chair out from the table. I stood up from the table but Shadi motioned for me to stay seated, so I sat down again. I looked at him with my full attention along with the rest of the people in the room.

I broke the silence first, "Shadi, what are you doing here?"

"I have sensed a great disturbance with the Millennium Bracelets." He stared at me with immense misfortune. "Do you still have them?"

"Yes," I showed him my wrists, `Come to think of it, I can't take them off.' "Why do you ask?"

"As I have said I have felt an enormous uproar with the alliance of the items." He walked forward. "My princess, have you used them in any way?"

"No...not really, except for..."

"When she made out with Kaiba." I sneered at Bakura from across the table.

"Princess is that true?"

I hesitated a moment, "Yes...But what does that have to do with the disturbance?" More questions formed in my head, but I asked just this one.

"Using the bracelets has opened the portal again."

I looked away from Shadi and down at my lap. `And here I thought that they were staying forever.'

"Princess do you know what this means?"

I swallowed. My throat suddenly became rusty. It felt like I was trying to swallow a whale. My eyes watered as I looked back at Shadi and nodded. `I will never see him again.'

"If we don't get them back, their world would become utter chaos." Shadi was inaudibly talking to me. `This is all happening to fast.'

I got up from the chair and held my tears back, "I guess we need to head up to my room."

"Wat is he talkin' abou'?" Joey was bewildered.

"Everyone........just follow me." I headed out the door and stood by it waiting for everyone to come out. They all came out; every single one of them had no idea what was happening except for me and Shadi.

They all headed up the stairs silently and quickly. Shadi was in the lead from all of us while I was bringing up the rear. Each foot step seemed to get heavier; I was walking up the stairs at a snail's pace, it felt like there was more weight on my shoulders with each stride towards the top.

"My princess, if you don't hurry they will be leaving with no goodbyes." I looked up; everyone was on the top of the stairs gaping at me. I was zoned off in my own world; I was only beginning at the bottom of the stairs. Hurrying it up, I took two stairs at a time and reached the top in a matter of seconds.

I looked at Seto's swirling blue eyes as he gazed at me. I couldn't look at him so I turned my attention to the floor as I started walking behind everyone again. Shadi still in the lead opened my door (a/n: substitute room, remember? That is where they first came from.) The floor became very interesting as everyone entered the room.

"My princess, they have five to ten minutes before it closes." I walked into the room after everyone else while Shadi closed the door after me.

"Would somebody please tell me what is going on?"

"I will Tea, just give me a sec." I stood in front of all of them before I started to explain what was happening. "A few days ago, all of you came through a portal," I looked up at all of their baffled expressions. I held my hands together in front of me as I began again, "It closed once you came through but opened again for Mokuba............." I looked down at the floor making it more interesting to talk to for the new dampness forming in my eyes. "Everyday I have experienced with all of you I will never forget. I will tell my children's children of the stories of Yugi and his gang dropping into my house...............................The portal has opened once again, and if you don't leave the world you know, it will cause chaos throughout it."

"Wat are ya sayin' Tam?"

I looked up and met Joey's eyes, "I am saying that you have to leave and there is not excuse for you to stay here............If you don't your world will be destroyed. Kaiba Corp will fall, Dueling will become forgotten, and you will lose your titles as human beings of the future." Tears were welding up stronger than before. I blinked them away and continued, "You have to leave. I will do nothing to keep you here, but please don't forget me and I will never forget you." I changed my gaze to Seto and Mokuba standing in front of him.

"You have seven minutes Princess."

"I have one request for all of you."

The nodded at me as I began again, "Please......Please, don't forget that you are in my hearts and I will never forget what you have done for me to realize my past and who I was and still am..... Thank you." I looked all of them in the eyes. I went from damp blue ones to grey-blue, violet, honey due, lavender, brown, chocolate, and coffee to bright navy. (a/n: if you didn't understand that: Seto, Mokuba, Yugi, Joey, Yami, Bakura, Ryou, Tristan and Tea.)

"Tami....I will never forget you." Mokuba ran up to me and hugged me. Tea darted towards me and did the same thing. I gave everyone a hug (including Bakura) till I came to Seto standing in front of me.

Tears were filling up to no extent; one crystallite clear substance slipped down my left cheek. "Don't do that.... you're going to make me do the same thing." Seto wiped the single tear away and embraced me into my last hug of my existence.

He still embraced me, but let me go a little to look me in the eyes. "I love you Tamra, and I will never forget you and what you did for me."

"I love y-" I was cut off as Seto caught my lips in a passionate kiss.

"I hate to interrupt, but don't we have a portal to catch?" Bakura was annoyed and walked over to my closet. He opened it while Seto let me go and followed the cast to the door.

A swirling black vortex was visible where my walk in closet once was. Bakura stepped into the black whirlpool without hesitation. He was followed by Ryou, Tea, Yugi, Yami, Joey and Mokuba. Seto took one look back and mouthed "I will not forget you." before he entered. I took one good look at my love before he disappeared without a trace.

Tears were falling freely down my face. I was left alone, just like I once was before they came: alone, depressed, unaccompanied, single-handed and independent.

"You don't have to stay here."

"What do you mean?" I turned my gaze away from the hole and looked at Shadi.

I suddenly realized, "This is what you meant?!"
