Chapter 23: Hearing Things

Tears were falling freely down my face. I was left alone, just like I once was before they came: alone, depressed, unaccompanied, single-handed and independent.

"You don't have to stay here."

"What do you mean?" I turned my gaze away from the hole and looked at Shadi.

I suddenly realized, "This is what you meant?!"

He nodded, "I will give you a week. Until then you can give your last goodbyes or you may stay forever." He disappeared before my eyes.

`I can go back to the one I love....Seto...but I don't want to leave everything here. I can't leave my company unattended. I can't leave my family here, even if they are gone, their graves still lie in this dimension. I can't leave my friends.....I have so many things here I can't leave. Maybe I should rethink this. I can't leave. No matter what happens I can't leave.'

I was still standing in my room facing the empty room where Shadi once stood. "Miss Knox?" I turned around to face the door, "You have someone at the door for you." Ana walked away after telling me the news.

I questioned my self before leaving the room.

Walking down the steps I noticed two girls standing at the door. Reaching the bottom I finally realized who it was.

"Yamifanner? Jasmine? What are you doing here?" Both of them were wearing jeans, but Jasmine had a pink spaghetti strap on while Yamifanner wore a blue T-shirt.

"We heard about the man escaping from Jail and we wanted to come and see if you were ok." Jasmine looked concerned.

"And take another look at Yami!" Yamifanner added onto Jasmine.

I shook my head, "I am sorry Yamifanner, They all left about five minutes ago...never to return again." I bent my head down in disapproval. "But I am fine as you can see." I popped my head up again and looked the two girls in the eyes.

"Oh..." Yamifanner looked like she was going to cry.

"Jasmine where's the kitchen?" I jumped; a girl behind Jasmine popped out of nowhere.

"Who the heck are you?" Jasmine started giggling at my reaction to the child.

Jasmine answered my question, "She is Maura, my chibi...."

"Oh...ok.." I was really confused. "Um........hi, I am-"

"Tamra I know....you fell in love with Seto...."

I was taken aback, "How do you know?"

"Yamifanner told us." The little girl answered me w/out question.

"How did YOU find out?" I pointed my finger at her with rage.

"Um.....I noticed it when I came over yesterday...or the day before that, I can't remember. Anyways, the way you walked up to him and put everything in his hands, and he took it without question...kinda gave me the clue."

One of my brows rose, "Oh....it was that obvious?"

She nodded, "Completely."

Maura walked up to me, she was as tall as Mokuba with black hair and pink highlights. She had green eyes just like I did. I looked up at Jasmine's brown eyes, "What is she doing?"

The little girl took my hand and started pushing me towards a direction, "Where's the kitchen?!"

To me the girl had a strong push, "OK ....ok...It's over here." I headed to the kitchen with Jasmine, Yamifanner and Maura behind me.

I walked into the kitchen with Jasmine's brown hair flowing behind her. Maura had a mind of her own; she walked over to the counter and sat down. I leaned over to Jasmine's ear, "What is she doing?"

"I really don't know." was Jasmine's response.

"For the way she acts all the time, I say this is her normally." Yamifanner smirked behind us.

"That was mean!" Jasmine hit Yamifanner on the head as she stumbled forward.

I looked at both of them, "Stop it both of you.........................you know you remind me of Seto and Joey." I chuckled a little bit before containing myself again.

"I really think you need to leave, Yamifanner, Maura and Jasmine........I'll call you or send each of you an invitation of some sort to come back." I walked out the door and towards the great door of my mansion. I opened it and let all of them out. "Goodbye to all of you and you will be hearing from me again.... I promise." I closed the door and walked up to my (substitute) room. I didn't feel like going to my real room at the time.

I sat down in my desk and turned on the TV. Turning on the Computer, I looked at the TV and yugioh was on. I stared, it was episode 43. (a/n: where I am........ it really is on today!) Looking at the screen I glanced at my computer again. The decision I had still lingered in my mind. "I have a week to come with an answer to everyone. Including Seto." I got into the program word and started typing away.

Meanwhile....... ~*~*~ Third person POV

Seto walked through the portal and was sitting in his desk. He was sitting there before he left too. It was like the day didn't even move for the days he spent in Tamra's mansion. He began typing on the laptop with Tamra in his mind. `Why did I have to leave? I know I will never see her again. I just have to move on.....and fake like nothing ever happened.'

A knock was heard on the great oak doors of Kaiba's door, "Come in."

`I guess Seto is in his cold state again.' Mokuba thought while coming through the doors. "Seto I just wanted to know if you were ok."

"I am fine."

"Are you sure?" He stepped farther into the room and shut the door.

"Why do you ask?" He looked up from his computer, his eyes softened as they hit Mokuba's.

He stepped back from the stare, but calmed down once he saw his brother relax, "Because Tamra's gone."

Kaiba looked back down at the computer and typed away without answering his little brother. "I guess I'll go now, I'll be with Yugi if you need me." Mokuba ran out the door and closed it behind him.

Before: Outside w/ Yugi and the gang...

They sat on benches in the park Yugi, Yami, Ryou and Tea got the bench as Bakura stood with Joey and Tristan sitting on the pathway gravel.

"Its like we never even left." Yugi broke the silence for them all.

"Yea...you're right." Tea answered next.

Joey shifted in the ground, "Hey guys look on da brigh' side."

"What bright side Joey?" Ryou was sad beyond all of them.

"I guess ya righ'."

"But we can't just mope here all day guys." Tristan stood up. "I have an idea....let's go to Kaiba land and check out the arcades and dueling arenas."

"I agree, than we can get this out of our minds." Yami stood up and agreed with Tristan, along with the rest of group they decided to go to Kaiba Land.

As they were walking towards the doors of Kaiba Land Bakura made a threat, "Hey Pharaoh.....I bet you don't have any power in you anymore."

"You wanna make a bet, Tomb-robber? I can beat you anytime....I am the King of Games."

"Is that a challenge?" Bakura smirked....his plan was working: To get Tamra off all their minds. Bakura took off towards the doors and headed towards a dueling arena.

Joey, Tristan, Ryou and Tea stood at the sidelines as they cheered Yami on. Except for Ryou, every once in a while he would cheer Bakura on. Minutes later Mokuba joined them. He saw them on the cam recorders and decided to join them in the fun.

Back to Kaiba.....

"I bet you are wondering what the Princess is doing right now?" Shadi was standing before Kaiba on the laptop.

"It came to mind but its gone now." He stopped typing as the laptop screen changed to a misty white on the edges with a clear view of Tamra in the middle. She was on her computer typing away every once in a while looking up at the TV to watch Kaiba in his Virtual Reality game he invented.

Tears marked her face once she glanced at the TV. She spoke to the silence, "One day Seto, we will be together again....I just know it." She got up and turned the television off by herself and made her way back to the computer to finish whatever she was typing.

"I believe you Tamra....I believe you." Seto's voice echoed into the laptop.

With Tamra.....

Words reached my ear like Seto was standing all around me, "I believe you Tamra....I believe you." I looked up from the computer screen and looked at the TV, but it was turned off. I shook my head and continued what I was doing. `My decision will affect everything around me......But I only have once choice to be with the one I love.'
