-~^SETO'S POV^~-
At dinner, Noa still wasn't back. I was hoping he'd snuck back. Gotten in late. Maybe eaten food with his friends. Ya know. Mokuba got some food for him anyway. I did manage to come out of my worry long enough to note how pleased Gozaburo was. Figured: `His deal must have gone through. Good. The sooner we're outta here, the better.' I was too concerned about Noa to think it odd that a cold business man like Gozaburo would be happy about something like that.
Mokuba was the one who'd spotted it. Noa's key, dropped before my little brother's door. We even tried it in the door to see. It was his. We checked the room. No sign of him. I went to the roof, to see if he was brooding. Nope.
~Where would he be?!~ I think now, staring up at the ceiling. I'm in Mokuba's room, since my little brother didn't want to see alone, and I didn't want to sleep in my partially empty bedroom. The door between our rooms is open, in case he does come in. I'm worried. I can't get to sleep. My brother, adopted or not, is missing.
I've considered going to the police. Two things have stopped me, the main one being my inability to speak English. I've learned a few choice phrases, courtesy of Noa, but nothing to help me report him to the police. I've figured out a few things from just placing together what either Seto or Gozaburo has said to and American, or other English-speaking person. It drives me nuts that I can't speak the language, but I'm a fast learner, and so is Mokuba. I figure that, together, we can get something across to someone.
-~*~-
"What about Gozaburo-sama?" Mokuba asks that next morning.
"Huh?" I blink at him.
"He was really happy at dinner last night, but he didn't give a reason, and he's already left." Mokuba points out.
It hits me, suddenly. Of course. If Gozaburo had caught Noa coming back yesterday, he could have dragged him into his room and... My eyes widen. "Mokuba-chan, have you learned how to say `kage', yet?" I ask. I know room is how you say heya, and I can copy the numbers on to a piece of paper from Gozaburo's door.
"Yeah. It's `key'." Mokuba shrugs. "Why?"
"No reason. I'm gonna leave you with your friends at the pool, okay?" I mumble.
"Okay..." Mokuba just shrugs it off. I figure he's learned, by now, that I have secrets from him, and he's best off not pushing for them. I'll tell him when he needs to know. He's smart like that, my ototo-chan.
I walk up to the front desk after dropping Mokuba off at the pool. I stand quietly until the woman there sees me. "Yes?"
"Room key." I say. Then I put the slip of paper with Gozaburo's room number on it on the desk between us. She looks at me funny. I point at the number. "Room key." She speaks some gibberish I can't understand. "Room key!" More gibberish. She seems to understand what I want, but it seems there's a problem. I groan. "Ra-damned language barrier..." I growl in my foreign tongue.
"You're having a problem, I see." A voice says behind me in Japanese.
I turn to the man, excited. "Yes! I can't speak English!"
"You've got some English down, though." I nod numbly. "She says they can't just hand out room keys."
"It's my father's room. I left something in there." I explain.
The man turns to the woman and explains. She replies and he turns to me again. "She says the man that rented out that room also rented out another room. Do you have a room key to your own room? She'll give you the key if it matches."
I nod and pull out my key, then hand it to the woman. She smiles, hands me back my key, then hands me a new one. It's the one to Gozaburo's room. I pocket my slip of paper and bow to the man. "Arigatou."
"Do itashimashite." The man smiles. "Don't forget to bring that back now."
"I won't!" I hurry off to the elevator, then down the hall to Gozaburo's room. I know he left. Mokuba and I saw him off this morning. I put the key in the lock and push it open.
I gasp and step in, letting the door fall shut behind me. "Noa!" I run over to him. He's tied to the bedpost, dried blood all over his body. I recall seeing the `Do Not Disturb' sign on the door. "Ra... That yaro!" I explode.
Noa's eyes open. "Seto?" He whispers.
"Hush..." I climb up on the bed and untie his hands. He collapses, but remains conscious. ~I'm so going to kill him...~ I decide angrily. "Can you stand?" I ask, trying my best to keep my voice steady.
"Not really..." Noa gasps as he attempts to stand.
I jump off the bed and grab his clothing. "Here, you need to at least semi dress. Then we can clean you up in our room, okay?" Noa nods and keeps silent as I help him dress, then we cross the hall.
I help him into the tub and he relaxes. "Arigatou..." He closes his eyes, leaning his head back as the water turns a deep pink. "How did you find me?"
"You dropped your key outside Mokuba-chan's door, and Gozaburo was being too cheerful for his own good at dinner." I sigh. "All of which, I'm ashamed to say, Mokuba-chan caught on to."
"What?!" Noa's head flies up and he gapes at me.
I shake my head. "What I mean is, he saw the key and pointed out the reasonlessness of Gozaburo's happiness. He won't say anything, even if he has caught on."
Noa sighs, relaxing again. "How'd you get that key? I know Mokuba-chan didn't frisk it off Gozaburo."
"I attempted to get it with a few simple English words I'd learned. When that didn't work, I just happened to have a man nearby that spoke Japanese and English." Noa chuckles. "We did try and cover for you." I add sadly.
"I know. He told me. He checked the room while you two were off elsewhere." Noa sighs.
"I figured as much..." I bow my head. "Gomen..."
Noa places his hand on my arm. "It's not your fault, Seto. He's just a yaro like that." He smiles as I look up at him. "I got my freedom."
I can't help but laugh. "Noa, you're truly hopeless!"
He gasps suddenly. "I was supposed to meet Bethany on the roof today!"
"Oh, no. You're not going anywhere but bed!" I warn, giving him a serious look. "If you want, I'll take a note to her."
Noa gives me a sad look, then nods. "Alright. Help me out. The sooner you get it to her, the better."
I help him out of the tub and give the bloody water a dark look. "Yaro..." I can't help but hiss.
Noa giggles. "I agree." I hear him sigh next to me. "Seto, can you promise not to tell Jako and the others about, well, all of this..." He mumbles.
"The raping?" I ask.
I feel him flinch at the word, then nod. "Yeah."
I frown. This is against my better judgement, but he's promised to keep my secret. "Yeah. I won't tell them."
"Arigatou..." Noa groans as I help him onto the bed. He grab some paper an a pen that just happens to be next to the bed and starts his note. I go over to get him some clothes.
As I set the clothes next to him, he folds the paper in half. "What's your excuse?"
"I said he grounded me to my room, since he caught me when I got back." Noa sighs, giving the clothing a disgusted look. "I suppose I have to dress, don't I?"
I smile. "Yup." He groans. "Hey, Noa?" He looks up at me. "How do you say Arigatou in English? I wanna thank the lady at the desk for the key."
Noa smiles. "It's `thank you'."
"Okay..." I look down at his clothes. "Need help?"
"Onegai?" Noa begs. I snicker and help him.
-~^~-
"Bethany!" I call, seeing her on the patio.
She looks over at me. "Seto..."
I hand her the note and watch as she reads it, wishing I could speak to her, tell her that Noa's really sorry... She looks sad as she finishes the note. "Thank you." She mumbles. I nod and she leaves.
I glance at the Statue of Liberty that Noa pointed out to me. "Freedom..." I sigh. "I miss it so much. Poor Noa..." I turn and head back downstairs. I already gave the key back to the lady. She smiled when I thanked her.
When I get out of the elevator, I'm shocked to see Gozaburo standing outside our room. I made Noa promise to bolt the door after me. "Gozaburo!" I shout at him.
He turns and glares at me. "Seto. I suppose you know where Noa went."
I roll my eyes at him. "I was hoping you could tell me."
He looks startled by my honestly, which is totally fake. He can't expect me to just hand my brother over like that. ~Wait, brother?~ My mind jumps. ~Yeah. Brother. Noa is my brother.~ I reply.
Gozaburo growls and stalks down the hall past me. "Dinner's at six." He says before getting in the elevator and leaving.
I sigh and go in Mokuba's door, then go through that door. Noa glances up at me, eyes scared. "Is he gone?" He whispers.
"Yeah. He's decided I have no idea where you are." I smirk. "We won't tell Mokuba-chan you're here until tonight, okay?"
"Yeah." He seems to calm down. "Did Bethany say anything?"
"Just `Thank you'. Why? Found a girlfriend?" I snicker, sitting on the edge of the bed.
Noa rolls his eyes. "Bethany wouldn't understand." He leans against my shoulder and closes his eyes.
I feel my heart speed up. ~Brother?~ My mind snickers. I glare at it and put my arm around Noa's middle, hugging him slightly. His head tilted up. My head tilted down. And, next thing I knew, we were kissing, and I didn't give a damn.
Noa is the first to pull back, and I assume it's because he needs air. My assumption is confirmed when he gasps in a big breath, then snuggles up against my chest. "Aishiteru yo." He whispers.
"Ai shiteru yo, Noa..." I reply, hugging him lightly.
-~^~-
Mokuba steals food without me even asking. I could have sworn he already knew Noa was in our room, even though I'd kept it from him, and he acted like he knew absolutely nothing about our other brother. I knew Gozaburo suspected me, and he watched me like a hawk all dinner long, giving Mokuba more than enough opportunity to pull off his little smuggling act. I gotta admit, he's good. He'd never have to beg food off anyone. He'd just steal it.
As soon as we walk into the room, through Mokuba's door, since mine is still bolted, Mokuba skips over to my room. I look in and find him on Noa's bed, giggling at something Noa said. I sit down on Noa's other side and rest my hand on his. Neither of us moves to change this.
"Oniisan, where were you?" Mokuba asks.
Noa, who is nibbling on the food Mokuba got him, chokes. He swallows quickly and looks at our littler brother. "Can't tell you."
"Why not?" Mokuba looks like he's about to pout.
"Mokuba, drop it." I warn, giving him a sharp look.
"Iie! I wanna know where Oniisan was! I wanna know why Oniisan was hiding from Gozaburo! I wanna know why Oniisan and Oniisama hate Gozaburo so much!" Mokuba cries. Tears spill down his cheeks.
Noa and I trade a look. Then Noa sighs, giving in. "Mokuba-chan, listen to me." Mokuba silences and looks up at Noa. "Gozaburo is not who he seems to be. He is kind and caring around you because he doesn't want you knowing who he really is. With Seto and me, he's different. He's really cruel, and he can, and will, hurt us." Noa takes Mokuba's chin in one hand and looks him in the eye. "You're smart. I know you are. If you act innocent and carefree around him, he'll always be kind to you. Piss him off or act like your real self, like you do with us, and you'll live to regret it. Do you understand what I'm saying?"
Mokuba nods and Noa lets go of his chin. "It's child abuse, you know." He says dully. "He can get thrown in jail for that."
"And we can return to the orphanage, ototo-chan." I point out darkly. "And as much as we may have liked it there, or thought we liked it there, I'd much rather stay with Gozaburo."
Mokuba glances at Noa. "So, you were in Gozaburo's room?"
"He caught me when I got back." Noa nods.
"And that one time, when you were screaming upstairs and that servant told us to not go upstairs?"
Noa shivers. "That was ugly. He broke my finger."
"You said you broke it in school."
"I have this odd tendency to lie." Noa groaned. "Are you quite through? I'd like to eat sometime."
Mokuba giggles. "Okay!"
Noa sighs and returns to his food while Mokuba goes to change for bed. I get up and go to change myself. "You okay?" I inquire, as I catch Noa staring off into space, some food halfway to his mouth and not getting anywhere.
"I was thinking..." Noa mumbles, finally allowing the food to enter his mouth.
"About what?" I walk over and sit next to him on the bed.
Noa sets down the food on the table next to me and looks at me. "About us..."
"What about us?" I feel the slightest bit of panic rising up within me. I fight it down, determined to not think the worst.
"Mokuba-chan, Yuugi-kun, Gozaburo..." Noa shrugs. "Jako and the others, they won't care. I don't about everyone else..."
"What's Gozaburo got to complain about?" I ask dryly.
Noa sighs. "Think, Seto. He's about as protective of me as they come. It's that whole, `No one touches my play toy' gig. You've seen how he can get. He hates my friends. I think he's okay with Yuugi-kun because he figures Yuugi-kun and I will remain just friends."
"Neither of us knows how Yuugi-kun takes these sorts of things, since we don't really know him so well." I nod.
Noa nods at the doorway between our room and Mokuba's room. "And, that one."
I snicker and motion to Mokuba, who comes over to sit in my lap. "Hey, he loves our uncle."
"Yeah! Uncle's cool!! He always used to bring me toys and candy! He used to come to the orphanage all the time, but then someone found out he was different and they said it was unhealthy for him to be around kids. It's like they think he was contagious or something!"
"They probably did think that." Noa sighs. "Do you know why, though?"
"Because my uncle likes guys, and people think that's wrong." Mokuba replies.
"And, do you think that's wrong?" Noa prods.
"My uncle's the best uncle there is! He's not the person other tell us he is! And, anyway, I like his boyfriend. He's real nice to me too." Mokuba smiles happily.
I chuckle, remembering the one time my uncle brought his newest boyfriend to visit us at the orphanage. He'd given Mokuba a piggyback ride and pushed him on the swings a lot. Mokuba had told me later that he was the coolest person he knew. "See." I say to Noa.
Noa grins. "Oh, Mokuba-chan, you'd get along great with my friends. Have you ever met a couple of girls who are together?"
"Nope." Mokuba looks at Noa sideways. "Why?"
"Noa has a bunch of gay friends." I explain. "Gozaburo doesn't like them, though."
"Maybe I can still manage to sweet talk him into letting them over one day. I do think I've gotten him to agree to let us play in the backyard, at least with some guards." Noa smiles.
"No way!!" I gasp. "How'd you manage that?!"
"I pointed out that fabulous point that you made to him that one day. Make note. When you want something from Gozaburo, bring it up in front of Mokuba, or in public. You'll have a better chance to get what you want. As you'll recall, that's how I managed to get away with the shopping deal." Noa explains calmly.
"You'd better get on his good side real fast, Noa." I point out.
"Don't remind me..." Noa rolls his eyes.
"So, why'd you bring this all up?" Mokuba asks, all innocence.
"How long were you listening?" I ask, giving him my best annoyed look.
Mokuba shrugs. "Oh, ya know... Since about the time you asked Oniisama what was wrong."
"That's what I thought." I roll my eyes at Noa, who grins.
"And, your conclusion?" Noa inquires.
"You two are together." Mokuba smiles.
"Sharp little demon, isn't he?" I growl.
Noa snickers. "You know, brains really do run in this family." He holds out his arms. "Come here, you."
"Careful." I warn as Mokuba hops over to Noa.
Noa rolls his eyes at me. "Trust me, Seto. I can take a hell of a lot more pain than you think I can." Mokuba giggles as Noa sticks his tongue out at me.
"Is that so?" I smirk.
Mokuba gets up and hops off the bed. "I sense another one of your two's arguments coming on, so I'll see you in the morning."
"I bolted your door. Don't go out until both Noa and I are awake." I warn.
"Okay. Oyasumi nasai." Mokuba smiles and goes into his room, closing the door behind him.
I glance at Noa's half-eaten food. "Are you gonna finish that?"
"Nah. I'm not hungry. You try starving for nearly three days, see how much of an appetite you have." Noa snickers, then grabs me around my waist and tugs on me.
I turn around and look at him. "You okay?"
Noa shakes his head. "I'm scared, Seto."
"Of him?"
"Yeah."
"Don't be." I flip off the light and get into the bed next to him. "He's not gonna hurt you right now." I hug him.
Noa's arms surround me and he buries his face in my chest. I feel him sobbing and a can't help but let my own tears fall. I hate him. I hate Gozaburo so much. "Ai shiteru, Seto..." Noa whispers.
"Ai shiteru, Noa." I reply.
"Can you do something for me?" Noa asks.
"Hum?"
"Help me get over him."
I know immediately what he wants. "Are you sure?" I pull back to look at him. The look in his eyes tells me so. "Alright. For you." I kiss him on the head, then pull away. "I'll be right back." I walk into the bathroom and grab the little bottle of lotion the hotel provides. I happen to know that Mokuba has been stashing the ones from his bathroom, and I'm beginning to think he has a good idea. I pull off the top and sniff it. ~What a boring scent...~ I complain as I walk back out to the room.
~*~
(Random A/N: Can little boys get erections? Oh, I dunno... *shrugs* Don't care, either. If they don't, we can just say that they're age is not nine. Oh, I dunno!! Give me some creative space here! To I LOOK like a boy to you?! *grabs rattail protectively* You know what, don't answer that.... *pissed look*)
~*~
Noa is sitting on the bed, shirt off. His chest is glistening with sweat, either from fear or excitement, possibly both. I hold up the bottle of lotion. "My uncle once informed me that lotion is good for preparing people. I'm still not quite sure whether he was being serious, or just plain silly, but I'm planning on taking his word on this one."
Noa snickers. "Is that so?"
I pull off my own shirt and hop up onto the bed. "Yes." I put my arms around his middle and pull him to me, claiming his mouth. He responds eagerly, opening his mouth and letting in my tongue, only to duel with it once it's in.
We fall back onto the bed, me on top, and break apart. "That was...fun." Noa smirks.
I chuckle and run my hands down his sides. I feel him shiver beneath me. "Hey, Noa?"
"Hum?"
"How do you prepare people?"
"How do you expect me to know?"
"I was hoping for some input."
"Well, think. Preparing is, what, stretching them so there's no so much pain, right?"
"Yeah."
"How would you stretch something as flexible as skin, yet in as small an area as..."
"I get it!" I whisper fiercely. Noa snickers. "You are one odd cookie..."
"Thanks." Noa pokes my chest. "Are you planning on pondering up there all night?"
"It was an idea." I smirk. "I was figuring that we wouldn't really get very far with our pants on."
"I don't wear pants. I wear shorts, thank you very much." Noa replies.
"I noticed." I reply dryly.
Noa snickers again. "I knew what you meant. Get off."
I get off and we both undress on opposite sides of the bed, then watch each other warily. "Heh..." I watch Noa's profile in the lights from the city outside and feel something strange inside my body. It's a new feeling, but I kinda like it. "Are we gonna do this, or not?"
"I'm having too good a time watching you." Noa replies. His voice has changed. I think husky is the word for it. It gives me the shivers.
"Well, stop watching." I order. Then I notice that my voice has that same husky quality to it that his does.
"Oh, alright..." I catch the beginning of a pout on his face and pounce, pushing him down on the bed beneath me.
His eyes widen for a second, then he seems to calm down and smiles up at me. I pull out the bottle of lotion, which I'm not quite sure where I got it from this time, since I coulda sworn I'd dropped it a while back, and coat a couple of fingers with it. I put a finger into his hole and he lets out a hiss. I pause. "Okay?"
"Wimp." He replies, then pulls down my head for a kiss.
I move my one finger around and realize that it's not so bad. I add another finger and Noa gasps into my mouth. Since I don't care for being called a wimp twice in the same night, I move my fingers around together. ~Stretching, huh?~ I snicker in my head, then, carefully, pull my fingers apart.
Noa takes in a deep breath, eyes widening. "I don't know whether to say ow, or wow..." He whispers. I snicker again and pull out my finger. The pout returns. I decide a little extra lotion on me couldn't hurt, and put it on. Then I cap the lotion and place it beneath the pillow, making a mental not to get it later.
I position myself over Noa, then wonder if this'll hurt him. His words from earlier come slamming back to my mind. `Trust me, Seto. I can take a hell of a lot more pain than you think I can.' I frown and ease my way into him, remembering how rough that one boy was with me, and how much I hated it, and how much it hurt.
Noa's pout disappears, only to be replaced with a face of slight pain. I stop. "If you stop now, I'll kill you later." Noa hisses between gritted teeth. I bite my lip, but continue my decent.
Once I can't go any further, I stop, watching for any sign from Noa that he's okay with me continuing. I don't want to hurt him. I'm not Gozaburo. Noa's eyes, closed before, open and he nods. I slowly pull out, then push back in again, a little harder than before. "Just do it, damnit." Noa hisses, then grabs my lips in another kiss. I roll my eyes and let instinct take over, since I'm about done with fighting it.
And then, it all becomes a blur. A blur of pleasure, but a blur, none the less. And, the next thing I know, I'm holding Noa in my arms, exhausted, but quite pleased. I lean down to put the blankets up over us. "Ai shiteru..." I mumble.
"Ai shiteru yo." Noa nuzzles my chest. "But if you ever go that slow again, I'm killing you." He warns. I chuckle and let myself drift away.
~~~
A/N: *dies of cuteness*
Noa: I liked it.
Seto: Me too. Just the right amount of fluff. *turns to the muses*
Seiji: *gags* I didn't help her with that!
Pugio: Not me!
Kam: That's just disgusting!
KK: Yeah. I wouldn't let them help. They like the blood and angst too much. That's not saying I don't, but I happen to enjoy the fluff too. *sniffles* Don't write much of it. I don't really do good fluff. This was okay. I got inspired. Don't ask me by what, I doubt I ever will know. Too many good feelings, I suppose... *shrugs* Freaky thing is, I do believe this is the first real sweet scene I've ever read that I actually felt like crying about...
Kam: I considered crying, because it was so disgusting... HOW COULD YOU DO THAT TO MY FIC?!?!
Seto: *bashes Kam on the head* First off, it's not your fic, it's KK-sama's fic.
Noa: Second off, Seto and I thought it was fabulous and you need to shut your trap.
Seto: Readers, please be kind enough to prove these evil muses KK-sama seems to be accumulating wrong, by giving her good reviews.
KK: If I get any flames, I'm feeding them to one of the characters in our RPG who uses fire magic. The person who RPGs him would enjoy it dearly. Or, I could finally start a bonfire out back with all that candle wax I've been saving up... Hum... Ya know, I just realized how odd it is that my RPG character's magic is revolved around blood...
Pugio: What? You haven't noticed all the chapters with blood in them? I swear, making people bleed is a hobby of yours.
KK: I think it is.... *sighs*
Ya know what, now that I've written in both Seto's and Noa's POVs, I've decided that I prefer Noa better. It's just so much easier to keep characters like Seto in character, or as close to being in character as I will ever get him, when I'm not in their brains. As Noa is the main character which will have the most drastic change from the anime in this fic, he is easier to write. He doesn't really have a character to keep up with. So, I shall be returning to Noa's POV after this, unless I hit another chappie where Seto is the better POV person, like in this one.
What to write? Oh, yeah! The 7th of July is Mokuba's B-day! That's two days! HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MOKUBA!! Lol ^_~
