Summery/Description:

It is about the reincarnated love of Atemu and Yuugi, how their deep love has allowed them to continue their love in this life. But yugi knows nothing about the past, what will happen when their rival appears in this life too, claiming to get his love back?

Chapter 4: An Unknown Memory Of The Past -1

...do you remember me?...

“Thank you Takurai.”

Yugi smiled and both of them walked back to class. Once they reached the doors of the classroom, the first thing Yugi saw was Yami in a really bad mood. The expression on Yami's face was scary as he sat in his seat, sulking. Yugi walked back to his seat with Takurai following him and sitting next to him. Yami noticed Yugi's eyes were red and swollen and when he was about to walk to him and ask about it, the teacher walked in and told the students to sit down.

(Damn it, the teacher always comes in at the wrong time. What happened to Yugi? How come his eyes are red? That Kudo better not be the one who made him cry or he is going to pay for it.)

Yami was burning with fury and anxiety in his heart as firstly, Yugi did not turn up at the canteen during break time and secondly, who made his little one cry?

The day was slow and torturous but it finally ended. “Bye Yugi, see you tomorrow.”

Takurai smiled at Yugi while Yugi nodded and said, “Bye Takurai and thank you.”

A little blush appeared on Yugi's face. “Don't mention it”

Takurai saw Yami coming and said, “I have something on, see you tomorrow.”

“Bye!”

Yugi gave him a small wave as another voice called for him.

“Yugi.”

Yami tapped Yugi's shoulder from behind and said, “Let's go back home.”

Yugi nodded and packed his bag. As they were walking down the street, Yami asked, “Yugi, why were you crying today, during the afternoon?”

Yugi saw Yami's worried face and replied, “I did not cry.”

“Don't lie to me, Yugi. Your eyes were red and swollen. Is it that Kudo who made you cry?”

Yugi could see anger flashing in Yami's eyes as he replied quickly, “No, Takurai did not make me cry, he in fact saved me this afternoon.”

Yami raised an eyebrow and looked at Yugi suspiciously, “Takurai?”

Yugi blushed. “Takurai wants me to call him so. He says that calling him Kudo makes him feel like a stranger.”

Yami was feeling a clench in his stomach that moment. He didn't know why but it didn't feel right hearing Yugi call Takurai Kudo with that much affection in his voice. Yugi did not call Jou Katsuya, even though they were best friends.

Hiding his discomfort, Yami asked, “What did he save you from?”

Yugi looked at Yami and reluctantly replied, “Yami, you know that Yadoka, he came to the biology lab with his gang when I was showing Takurai around and tried to punch me.”

Yami's eyes widened, while taking in that piece of information. “Takurai took that punch on behalf of me and punched him back. I cried because it was because of me that Takurai received that punch.”

Yugi quickly lowered his head, afraid that Yami would scold him. Yami gave a dark glare and said, “That Yadoka, don't let me see him again or I will send him to the shadow realm.”

“Yami, why are you in such a bad mood today?”

Yugi looked up at Yami with his `innocent' glare. “What makes you think so, aibou?”

Yami tilted his head when he asked so, looking very adorable. “Because after lunch break, you looked like you were going to explode in anger when I saw your face. Are you angry with me?”

Yugi looked at him, hoping he would say no. Yami shook his head saying, “No aibou, I'm not. It's just that I don't like that Kudo being with you.”

At this, Yugi was really confused. “Why?”

“It's just that I don't like him, aibou. I don't know why but every time I see him, the back of my mind hurts, like it's warning me to be careful. The most puzzling thing is that there is a feeling of hatred and disgust when I see him.”

Yugi looked at Yami surprised and said, “But Yami, this is the first time and the first day you have seen Takurai. He is a really nice person, it is impossible to actually hate him.”

“I don't know aibou.”

Yugi gave Yami a smile and said, “Maybe you are just too tired. You haven't been sleeping well these past few days. Make sure you take a good rest when we get home, ok?”

Yami nodded and he was about to say something else when a lady with long blood red hair appeared in front of both of them. She wore clothes that were milky white in colour, with Egyptian jewellery around her neck, wearing earrings that had the eye of a Horus. Half of her face was covered by her red hair but nonetheless, she was a very beautiful lady with sapphire eyes. She looked at Yami and said, “Atemu, it has been a very long time since we last met. Do you still remember me?”

Her voice was smooth and gentle.

Meanwhile...

“Get out of the shadows; I know you have been following me. What do you want?”

“Oh, you have found out, isn't it?”

A sneaky voice was heard. A person slowly walked out of the darkness holding a shiny weapon in his hand. “Yadoka, you still have the cheek to appear before me? I see the punch didn't have its effect?”

An evil grin appeared on Takurai's face. “Well I don't think so.”

Ten of Yadoka's men appeared before him. “I guess I will just have to teach you what it is to offend the strongest man in school!” Yadoka screamed.

Takurai answered in a snarl, “The strongest man? Down in a single punch from someone smaller than you?”

Yadoka took the penknife in his hand and lunged towards Takurai. “You bastard, you are going to pay for what you said!”

“Oh yeah?”

Takurai dodged the knife that was coming his way but it slit the rubber band which was used to tie his hair. Takurai's eyes turned dangerously light lime green, his blood red hair flowing in the wind as he murmured something under his breath. A beautiful white dagger appeared in his hand as he looked menacingly at Yadoka and his gang. “Is a fight really all that you want?”

Yami looked at the lady in front of him and his eyes widened in disbelief. Yugi looked at the lady in front of him and wondered who she was. ((She is really a beautiful woman and she gives off an aura which is exactly the same as Yami's; the aura of a royalty. Who is she?))

“Impossible...is it you, Dia?”

Yami stared at the woman still standing in front of him.

A/N: the name is pronounced Di-a.

“Atemu, you still remember me?”

Dia looked at Yami, smiling at him. “Dia, so it really is you!”

Yami ran to her and gave her a hug. “I missed you so much. You disappeared all of a sudden, where have you been?”

Yami looked at the young lady who was taller than him, but when he wanted to touch her face, Dia pushed him away and warned Yami with a very deadly expression.

“Atemu, never EVER touch the right side of my face which is covered by my hair, don't ever do that. You wouldn't want an instant death.”

“Why? You have a beautiful face, why do you cover it?”

Yami looked at Dia sadly. “What happened?”

Dia's expression softened and returned to her kind appearance from before. “It's not the time to let you know yet.”

“Excuse me.”

Yugi's voice was heard from behind them. “Yami, who is she?”

Yami turned around saw Yugi standing there with a confused expression on his face. Yami smiled and said, “Yugi, she is my elder sister, not blood bonded, but she grew up with me. Her name is Dia.”

Dia looked at Yugi and immediately ran to him. She cupped his face in her hands and said, “Little one, so you have reincarnated.”

Yugi felt warmth traveling through his face, warmth from a mother but the same time, he saw sadness in Dia's eyes.

“Yuugi, do you remember anything from your past life?”

Dia asked him as she looked straight into his eyes.

((Yuugi?))

“Sorry, but I'm Yugi. It sounds funny calling me Yuugi.”

Yugi looked at her, totally confused at the things that were happening, but he felt very comfortable being with Dia. Dia smiled and said, “So you really don't remember anything, I guess it is probably for the best.”

She released Yugi and smiled at him, “I'm Dia Mira, nice to meet you, Yugi.”

She turned around and faced Yami again, sudden seriousness filling her face. “Atemu, I have not seen you for three thousand years and really have a lot to tell you, but I don't have the time now. I have come to warn you that someone in the darks has returned to find you, so be careful.”

Then Dia turned around and looked at Yugi saying, “Little one, do you have any heartaches that pierce your heart like it is going to rip it apart?”

Yugi shook his head. “So you have not chosen the `only one' yet.”

Yugi tilted his head, looking more confused than ever. “Let me tell you this, if there is a day where you feel that your heart is going to rip apart, remember to get rid of every emotion that you are feeling at that moment and you will feel better. This is very important, so please keep it in your mind always. Ok?”

Yugi nodded his head although he did not understand what she was talking about. Dia moved to the right side of Yami and whispered something in his ear. “Wait Dia! What do you mean?”

But Dia disappeared into thin air saying, “We will meet again soon, Atemu and Yugi.”
