Yugi hugged his knees. How could Yami possibly do this to him? He didn't ask, and even though he said he was sorry, Yugi still couldn't shake the feeling that Yami could have ruined him emotionally. In fact, wasn't he already doing that?
Yami walked in, looking very sullen. He sat down on the bed about three feet away from Yugi, and attempted to move closer. "Don't touch me..." Yugi said demandingly.
Yami stayed put, but looked away and at the floor. Perhaps Seth would have know what to do in a situation like this, but Seth was long dead--killed by Yami's own hands. And as such, Yami was confused about what to do. He had never meant to go so far without Yugi's permission, but the desire had taken over just as effectively as Bloodlust. But why didn't Yugi react sooner?
"Yugi..." Yami started, hesitantly.
"What?" Yugi snapped back.
"Just curious, but why didn't you try to stop me sooner? I wouldn't have gotten near so far if you had. Like I said, I'll respect your wishes..." Yami stated simply.
Yugi thought carefully, trying to remember. Why didn't he try to stop Yami sooner? As he tried to remember, all he could come up with was a fuzzy memory too indistinct to make sense of. Perhaps that was why... "Yami, I don't think I had complete control of myself..." Yugi admitted quietly.
Yami moved closer, and when Yugi didn't stop him, Yami simply hugged the smaller boy. "I'll wait a thousand years for you if that's what it takes, but when you're ready, just tell me, okay?" Yami whispered into Yugi's ear.
Yugi stayed silent for a while, content just to be in Yami's arms. But after about fifteen minutes, Yugi grew restless. A though crossed his mind--maybe his mom wouldn't kill him if he just had a little bit of oral sex... just not going all the way. After about five minutes of thinking, Yugi decided he could live with whatever consequences his mother would create if she ever found out.
Slowly, still a little shaken by Yami's earlier actions, Yugi opened up the mind link he now shared with the much older boy to let him know what he wanted. Yami chuckled, holding Yugi tighter. "Since you're spending the weekend here, and you're still a little shaken up, why don't we wait until tomorrow? That will give both of us time to think about what happened earlier so we can prevent it from happening again, okay?"
Yugi sighed. He wanted to please Yami, but he also did want to wait. Tomorrow wasn't such a bad idea after all. Yugi layed down on the bed, taking Yami with him. Sighing in comfort, the two fell asleep within ten minutes.
Bakura watched in disgust as the two fell asleep together. Once again, the Pharaoh attracted the most beautiful people around him. That's how it had always been, and that's how it always would be. Which was why Bakura wanted Yami dead.
"Sekkena, you should have been mine. Instead, the Pharaoh took you as his wife, when your father had already made arrangements for you to marry me... The original plan was to kill him, but now, I've a different idea. If only I could find your soul in another's body like I did with Seth, then I might forget about the Pharaoh. Sekkena, please tell me where you are..." Bakura closed his eyes, silvery hair falling around his face.
Amazing how he looked so similar to himself in Egypt. Him and Seth both were identical to their past selves in Egypt. And yet, why couldn't his personality be more like Seth's was? Bakura struggled with the odd coincidence of his soul sharing a body with another. This boy was so kind and gentle, but didn't have Bakura's memories. On the other hand, Bakura could tell someone all about Ryou. But Seto and Seth were the same person. Bakura wanted that so much--just as much as he wanted the Pharaoh dead to satisfy an ancient grudge.
Bakura knew it was pointless to want the Pharaoh dead. After all, it was nearly 5,000 years ago that the grudge started. But Bakura died filled with hatred, and so his soul needed to fullfill it's final desire. Bakura wondered what would happen once the Pharaoh was dead. Somehow, he had the feeling he'd never know until he was reborn again.
Ryou shook his head, trying to shake off his blackout. Doctors everywhere had told him he had multiple personalities, but Ryou could have told someone that for years before that diagnosis. Ryou sighed--once again he was in a place he found himself more and more often in the past few months. He didn't know who lived there, and he didn't want to ask, but his alternate personality seemed to keep taking him to a giant mansion. Ryou got up off the ground and headed back towards home.
Seto sighed. Bakura was persistent, and wouldn't rest until Yami was dead. He, on the other hand, was quite content as he was. Unlike Bakura, who died full of hate, Seth had died with remorse--remorse for what he had made Yami into. Immortality at the price of blood--that was what the spell offered. Yami certainly had that, and the blood price wasn't just his own, it was the blood he now needed to survive.
Seto knew this, and wondered if there was a way to reverse it. He was sure Yami was tired of immortality, and Bakura wanted Yami dead. The only way to satisfy both of them would be to make Yami mortal, because at the moment, Yami was pretty damn close to being a god. Otherwise, Seto just couldn't think of a way to kill Yami. Bakura sure as hell would try, but he'd only get himself killed again.
Seto tried to ignore his body's reaction to his thoughts of Yami. They had been lovers in the past, but Bakura had laced his words with spells and told Seth that Yami had betrayed him for another. It was only in his moments of death that Seth realized Bakura had tricked him. Foolishly, Bakura still beleived that Seto was his ally. Death cancels all spells, and Seto wanted Yami. Even if he had another now, wouldn't Yami go back to the first lover he ever had? Finally, Seto couldn't stand it anymore--he got up and left to find his Pharaoh, with the intent of taking him back.
Seto waited for five minutes after he rung the doorbell. It seemed typical of Yami to want to be surrounded in the finest accomodations. He wondered how Yami could have survived for 5,000 years--2,000 of which were probably spent in the heart of Egypt. From what Seto had learned, about 3,000 years ago, the Greek people came to Egypt. Yami probably went to Greece with them to get away from the desert. He wouldn't be surprised.
Finally, the door opened. Seto looked down, knowing his own height, and saw a young boy--identical to Yami in nearly every way. But he wasn't Yami. Seto glared at the boy, who quickly ducked his head back inside. Yami stepped out in the boy's place, and nearly fainted when he saw who had rung the doorbell.
"Seth?" Yami whispered in disbelief.
"Yami, listen, I..." Seto started.
Yami hugged Seto, cutting off the taller boy's words. "Seth, I... I killed you. How...?"
Seto placed a finger on Yami's lips. "My name's not Seth, I'm Seto Kaiba. I've been reborn, but unfortunately, so has Bakura. Yami, he's still out to kill you. Be careful, he'll do anything to get what he wants..." Seto said before hugging Yami closer to him.
Yugi watched the scene, his heart feeling as if it were being broken in two. Would Yami rather be with this guy? Sullenly, Yugi went upstairs to pack his belongings and leave. "Yugi..." Yami said, noticing the smaller boy's ascent up the stairs. "Yugi, come here, I want you to meet someone..."
When Yugi didn't respond, Yami jerked Seto's arms off him and ran up to the younger boy. "Yugi, what's wrong?"
"Choose now whether you want him or me, because I won't fight someone else for your affection..." Yugi said, glaring at Yami, a reddish tint appearing in his amethyst eyes.
