Yu-Gi-Oh! Fan Fiction ❯ Passion and Blood ❯ Problems and Troubles ( Chapter 3 )

[ X - Adult: No readers under 18. Contains Graphic Adult Themes/Extreme violence. ]

A/N: well, this is the chapter where things start falling into place. And yesh, I do realize that the invitation for Yugi spending the weekend at Yami's was done twice, once by Yami and once by Yugi. That's what happens when you work on a single chapter over a period of several days/weeks/etc...

Disclaimers: I don't own YGO! Got it?

Passion and Blood

Chapter 3

A few days later, Yugi happily ran home from school, not realizing how fast he was doing so. He had been waiting eagerly for today. Today was Friday, and Yugi was going to spend the entire weekend with Yami. "'Jiisan! I'm leaving!" Yugi said, grabbing his bag of clothes from his room before heading out the door again.

"Yugi, be good! Don't do anything I wouldn't do..." Sugoroku chuckled as Yugi disappeared out the door.

Yugi was waiting impatiently at the appointed meeting place. Yami was five minutes late. "Yugi! Gomen, I had to get something..." Yami said as he ran up to Yugi.

Yugi looked at Yami, a cold edge to his amethyst eyes. Yami smiled and held out a small box. "For you. I had to run like hell to get it before it was sold to someone else..."

Yugi took the box from Yami, wondering what it was. There was nothing on the box to indicate where it came from. He opened it, looking at Yami for a few seconds. When he looked down, his eyes widened. A solid gold ankh pendant was laying innocently in the box. Yugi picked it up, and saw the tiny engravement on the loop. 'Little Hikari' it said.

"'Hikari?'" Then Yugi understood. "It's a pun. You're the Yami...." Yugi began.

"And you're my Hikari. Makes sense, doesn't it?" Yami said, fastening the clasp of the pendant's tiny gold chain around Yugi's neck.

Yugi smiled and leaned close to Yami. There was an odd scent that seemed to hover around him, but Yugi couldn't quite tell what it was. All the same, it drugged Yugi into a half-conscious state. Yami patted Yugi's cheek, breaking the scent's spell. "C'mon. Let's get going. There's a few things we still have to do. Like... get something to eat, maybe?"

Yugi smiled groggily. "Sure. Let's get some pizza, k?"

Yami looked puzzled. "Pizza?"

Yugi snapped wide awake and dragged Yami to the nearest pizza place. "You've been alive for 5,000 years, and you've never had pizza? You're insane!"

Yami tried to slow Yugi down. "Yugi! Slow down! You're moving too fast!"

Yugi came to a halt, and saw that people looked at him strangely. --I tried to tell you, Yugi. You didn't know how fast you were running. Please think about how you move from now on. If you don't, you'll end up getting hurt...--

--Hurt? What can really hurt us?-- Yugi asked Yami mentally.

--Fire, for one thing. It may not kill us, but it takes decades to completely recover from the burns, and that hurts like hell. And your body would crave more blood than it would normally need so it can recover. Damn, I need to tell you about Bloodlust....-- Yami drifted off.

Yugi didn't say anything else. But when he saw the pizza place, he dragged Yami inside. "You can tell me about it over a bite to eat, ok?" Yugi said, sitting down at one of the tables.

~~~~~
Yami wandered, afraid and alone, through the desert. Hiding underneath the sand during the day, a fierce hunger waking him up as soon as the sun had set. Not finding any humans, Yami was forced to kill jackals, lizards, and other relatively small animals just to stay alive. But these animals wouldn't sate his thirst. He needed human prey. Yami headed for a small farming village he had seen a few days back. He had money, he would stay with someone, but he swore to himself he wouldn't kill anyone from that village.
Weakly, he knocked at the stone that lined the open doorway of one house. An old, nearly blind woman came out. "Yes, who is it?" she asked, using her cane to feel around and find the person she couldn't see in the dark night.
Yami smiled. "I'm sorry to disturb you, miss, but can I stay with you? I need a place to stay during the daytime," he said, his voice dry and hoarse from not having drunk anything, even blood, in several days.
The old woman smiled. "Of course, young man. You've no idea how lonely I've been these past few years. I'll give you a nice meal when you want it. Come on in..."
~~~~~

Yugi's jaw dropped when he heard about Yami's little problem when he first became a vampire. "How did you survive that long without blood?"

Yami shook his head. "I'm not really sure, but I sure as hell know that I was pretty damn lucky about that..." he replied simply.

Yugi sat back in his chair, amazed. He wasn't even a full vampire yet, and already he could feel a thirst that just couldn't be satisfied. "Yami, can I...." Yugi motioned to the silver flask Yami always had with him.

Yami handed Yugi the flask. "It's almost empty..." he grumbled. "Getting blood without attracting too much attention has been damn near impossible for the past century. I have my own list of donors that think I'm just one of those idiots that call themselves vampires--they think I'm a damn sanguinarian..." Yami shook his head. Sanguinarians were easy to come by, but they didn't need blood to survive. They only liked the taste of it. A sanguinarian also didn't have Bloodlust.

"Yugi, I need to tell you about something extremely serious concerning your thirst. It's called Bloodlust, and it will completely take over your better judgement, making you want to kill a certain type of person. Maybe a child, maybe a killer, maybe even your own family members... It will not be sated until you've drank enough blood to completely flood your system. In the newly made vampires I've seen in the past, it sometimes took two or three people to sate the Bloodlust. That's a damn lot of blood, Yugi. Last time Bloodlust took over me, I needed a child. But then, your blood was still in my system, so I had to drink more than the Bloodlust wanted to make sure the child didn't live."

Yugi was horrified. Two or three people? Just to satisfy the thirst for blood? "Why did you have to kill the kid, Yami?" he asked meekly.

"Because if I didn't the transformation would have began, and he would have died anyway without me to keep the transformation going," Yami looked sad, almost remorseful.

Yugi stayed silent, and hardly even noticed when the pizza arrived at their table. Yami, however, nibbled at a slice for a second, then started devouring it. Yugi looked up, and had to laugh. "Yami, slow down, you'll choke!"

Almost as if Yugi had predicted it, Yami swallowed a bite of pizza a little too big for his body to handle. Yugi laughed as Yami drank his entire glass of Pepsi to wash it down. "I told you, Yami!"

Yami made a mental note to not eat so fast next time he tried something new. Yugi searched his pockets when they got the bill (1200 yen), only to find just 600 yen in his pocket. "Ne, Yami..." Yugi showed Yami the bill, and his handful of coins--only half of what was needed.

Yami shook his head. "Don't worry, it's on me..." Yami said, patting Yugi on the back and kissing him on the cheek.

A few hours later, Yami and Yugi were laughing together as they played some board games--Yami winning every game. Yugi leaned against Yami, that scent that seemed to hover around Yami stronger than before. Yugi nuzzled Yami's neck, a new sense of awareness coming over him. Yami seemed so patient, as if he was waiting for something to happen.

Yugi, not really knowing why, gently bit Yami's neck. A few drops of blood welled up from two tiny scratches Yugi didn't even know he made. Tentatively, Yugi licked at the blood, his senses soaring at the taste. Yugi felt as though he needed more, and bit harder--blood rushing into his mouth.

Yami smiled, holding Yugi close as he fed off of the last amount of blood he would need for the transformation to be complete. About one minute later, Yugi pulled away, the world seeming to spin rapidly. Yami held a hand to his neck, healing the wounds there with a simple touch. Yami wanted this to happen, he wanted Yugi so much...

Yugi never even fought Yami as he started to undress both of them. Yami nipped gently at Yugi's neck, being careful not to let his fangs draw blood. Yugi's eyes were glazed over, and he seemed drugged, but Yami never really noticed this. Desire taking over his mind and body as thoroughly as Bloodlust, Yami grabbed a bottle of scented oil and poured it on his right hand. Slowly, gently, Yami prepared Yugi as his desire grew more impatient.

Yami hovered over Yugi, ready to take out his desire for the smaller boy, when Yugi snapped out of his drugged state. "What the hell are you doing?!" he yelled, pushing Yami away from him.

Yugi crawled away from Yami, feeling as though his world was going to fall apart. Yami hesitantly drew nearer to the shaking boy, knowing that he should have asked Yugi first. "Gomen nasai, Yugi. I just...."

Yami was interrupted by Yugi's deadly quiet voice. "You were just going to rape me, is that right?"

Yami didn't even make a move to touch Yugi. "I should have asked if you wanted it, I know... But please don't push me away for it. I've waited over 5,000 years for someone like you, and I'll wait until you're ready," Yami got up and put his clothes back on before leaving the room.

MR: awww, so sad! I know, this bit wasn't in the original from FF.net, but I have the right to change the plot and details as I see fit. One more thing: I haven't written a lemon scene in ages, so please don't rag on me about it when it comes up. Anyway, I do have a plan for a few side-stories (two PWP's and one crossover) as soon as the first installment of P&B is finished.... DAMN! >.< Okay, I might as well tell you peeps... Passion and Blood is a trilogy, but I ain't telling anymore about it! Okay, bai bai till next chapter! ^^
