Ch. 4: Unknowns and Questions
It's been two days since Grandpa left and almost half of the city's lights are blown thanks to the lighting storm they had last night. We return to the game shop, which unfortunately, the electricity has been blown completely. Yugi wakes up shivering from head to toe. He quickly gets into warm clothes, which were two long sleeved shirts; sweat pants, two pairs of socks, and a jacket. He went downstairs to see if anything is working.
-Yugi's POV-
I went down and not to my surprise that not one thing here is working. `What should I do in a time like this?' I thought to myself and remembered about the flashlights, but it took a while to get to the kitchen, since its pitch black going through. When I got there, I was really disappointed that out of all five flashlights, only one works. I pointed the working flashlight and found a drawer with matches and candles. `I do need to make sure this flashlight stays working.' I turn off the flashlight and struck a match to light a candle.
After five minutes, I lit about twenty candles. “Who would have thought that Grandpa is a candle person.” I said with a little laugh, then turn my attention on the puzzle. “Looks like it's just you and me for a while, Spirit.” I said. I could give you two reasons why I named my puzzle. 1. Kia named her puzzle, Guardian, because she feels protected when she takes it with her, and she brings the puzzle everyday to prove it. And 2. After Grandpa told me that story, about how he not only retrieved the puzzle, but also saw what he thinks the Pharaoh's spirit saving him. I've always thought that the same spirit is inside the puzzle. I know it sounds crazy, but I like to believe its possible.
-Unknown's POV-
“Looks like it's just you and me for a while, Spirit.” I awake to hear the innocent voice known as Yugi. “It's still raining outside, but I don't mind.” He said happily. “More of an excuse to work on solving you.” He finished with a chuckle. I felt myself smile while he chuckled.
`I wish I could see him, let alone talk to him.' I thought to myself, but was interrupted when he spoke again.
“Did you know it's been eight years since I tried to solve you Spirit?”
`Has it been that long?' I thought as he continued.
“You think after all this time, you think I would solve this puzzle by now.”
I could sense that he is getting excited to get the puzzle solved and free the spirit of it, but looks like he has to keep trying until that happens.
“I know how you feel Yugi,” I said, knowing he can't hear me, “I want to get out of this damned place and finally see you with my own eyes.” I then went to my thoughts. `The first thing I want to see when I get out of here is you, and I will know by your kind voice.' I vowed on that thought and continued to listen to Yugi.

“WHAT!!” Grandpa yelled out when he found out about the stolen mummy from the tomb. “How can this happen!” He said, being very frustrated.
“Why would anyone want the pharaoh's remains?” Asked one of the archeological diggers.
`Why is one question,' Grandpa thought. `What they're going to do with it is another.'
