Ch. 5: Nearing Completion
~Lab~
“Hmm…” Anzu examined the mummy before her. “I see that there's no damage on the pharaoh,” she said with a sense of content, “remind me to give all of you a raise.” The men that work for her were about to cheer when she added. “But only if it's the pharaoh I'm looking for.”
“We doubled checked many times.” Said a man, who bowed to her. (A/N: What's this guys deal?) “It is the one you desired, I swear it on my life.”
Anzu smiled wickedly. “Well, in that case, if this isn't the pharaoh I desired, then you better start praying to the afterlife.” (A/N: BITCH!!)
“Very well, Mistress Anzu.” (A/N: *gags*)
Anzu walks over to the machine and lifts the switch. It lifted the body carefully and very genteelly, but very gingerly into the empty pod that is filled with eerie, glowing green liquid. When it successfully placed in the pod, the mummified body instantly reacted with the liquid, which made it glow. “Now, for the organs, while we wait for the body to complete itself.” She said. “You!” She points to one of the men. “Keep and eye on the pharaoh, or else you would suffer the same fate as the bodies in the tomb!”
“Y-yes M-mistress.” The man stammered, as he went over to his assigned post.

-Yugi's POV-
I've been working on the puzzle for two hours, but it felt like thirty minutes. “I wonder how everyone is doing?” I asked myself. “Malik is probably giving his sister a fit on purpose and Ryou is probably doing crossword puzzles.” I imagine about what those two are up to right at this moment. But then I thought about Kia. `What is she doing right now?' I thought to myself.
-Kia's POV-
“Grandma is so gonna owe me big for this.” I said as I carried the last potted plant into the greenhouse. “Let's see, five…, ten…, twelve…,” I counted the pots. I carried these pots, which were around five to ten pounds, so they wouldn't drown. “Yep. All sixteen pots, safe and sound.” I smiled as I walked back into the house. I walk up to the calendar and found out that my birthday is only a week away. `I'm to be fifteen in a week and Yugi's going to be sixteen next month.' I thought to myself. I looked up at the clock, which read 1:00 p.m. I heard my stomach growl. “I guess it's lunch time.” I said. I looked at myself, soaked and dirty from carrying the pots and still in my aqua p.j.'s. I think I should get cleaned up first.”
Five minutes later, I came down, dried and wearing a simple long sleeved navy blue dress, and looked around the kitchen for something to eat. I sighed when I saw nothing but my grandma's barf-looking stew in the fridge. (A/N: I wouldn't want to eat it either.) Then I looked over at the table to find that there are only those small decotive pumpkins. `Is there anything that is edible here.' I thought looking in the cabinets. My stomach is now bugging me for not eating since last night. When I looked in the pantry, I was saved. “Looks like it's pop-tarts for lunch.” I said grabbing a package and walked over to the table. The rain was hitting harder than before, making it sound as though it's trying to destroy the house. “I hope the rain goes away soon.” I said as I finished eating and walked up to my room to work on `Guardian' for a while.
“Well Guardian, everything out here is pretty much the same as yesterday.” I talked to the puzzle to calm myself down, which always seems to work.
~Back to the Lab (3 hours later)~
Anzu smiled manically as she watched the forced doctors placed the newly revived organs are carefully placed inside the newly recovered body of the pharaoh.
“Soon, Pharaoh, very soon.” She murmured to herself as she eyed, hungrily.
