Just to let everyone know that I written this story while at school in my notebooks. So I am now on chapter 43 in my book. So this story will take awhile. But don't worry. It will probably be worth the wait.

Ch. 9: Move Out!

The next morning, around seven, Yugi woke up, feeling a bit dazed at first, and then he remembered about yesterday. He quickly jumped out of bed and changed into some warm clothing; which is sweat pants, a long sleeved, turtleneck black shirt, his school jacket, and two pairs of socks. He was about to go out through the door, but noticed the puzzle on his desk. He went over and put the puzzle around his neck, and then he looked himself over at the mirror. “Not too bad.” He said as he heard the phone ring. `Looks like the power came back on.' He thought as he answered the phone.

 

“Hello, game shop residence.” He said.

 

“I see your electricity is back up finally.” Kaiba said on the other line.

 

“Hi Kaiba, what's going on?” Yugi asked.

 

“Long story short, the mutt and I are going on a trip and I need someone to take care of Moukaba for me. You think you could watch him for three days for me?” Kaiba said, which made Yugi freeze on the spot.

 

“Yugi?” Kaiba said, making Yugi come out of the shock.

 

“Oh sure, no problem.” Yugi said, thinking that Moukaba, Kaiba's little brother, was going to be dropped off tomorrow. “So, when am I going to go over and watch him?”

 

“Oh, I'm going to drop him by your place in thirty minutes.” Kaiba said, and when Yugi was about to say something, he continued. “Oh, the mutt is ready, see you in fifteen then, bye.” He hung up.

 

Yugi just stood there, wondering what to do now. Then the sound of someone at the door made him jump. He went over to where the sound was, only to see Kia at the door.

 

“Hey Yugi.” She said. “What's wrong?”

 

“We have a bit of a problem.” Yugi said.

 

“What kind of problem?” Kia said nervously.

 

“Kaiba and Jou are going on a trip, and I'm going to take care of Moukaba while they're away.” He replied.

 

Kia stared at him as if he gone insane. “And…”

“They're leaving to go to the airport today and they're bringing Moukaba in,” He looks up at the clock, “in ten minutes.”

 

Kia shook her head. “Yugi.”

 

“What.” Yugi said, a bit confused.

 

“What do you mostly see in labs?” She said.

 

“Chemicals, tubes, creepy looking pods with four ancient people, who could be in trouble and… and…” He paused for a moment when he thought about the prisoners in the lab, even the pharaoh, the divine king, a living god to his people, or once his people. (A/N: First sign ^_^)

 

Kia saw his dazed look and decided to bring him back into reality. “And they have machines.”

 

“Huh?” Yugi snapped out of his reverie.

 

“They also have machines that could trigger alarms and harm all of us if we don't have someone who is good with hacking in the systems.” She said

 

Yugi let this sink in, after milliseconds later he under stood. At that moment, Moukaba ran in, nearly soaked and looked pissed.

 

“Hi Moukaba.” The two said in unison.

 

“Yeah, yeah.” Moukaba said in annoyed tone. He is thirteen-year-old boy who is around the same height as Yugi and Kia, has long black hair that ends at the lower back.

 

“So, where's your older brother?” Kia asked.

 

“Still in the car, `arguing' with Jou.” Moukaba said as he rolled his eyes.

 

Yugi and Kia gave each other a confused look when he said that, but shrugged it off when Jou and Kaiba walked through the door.

 

“Eh Yug'!” Jou greeted. “Eh Kia! What's happenen?”

 

“Nothing much.” Kia lied. “Just hanging out.”

 

“Where exactly are you going?” Yugi asked Kaiba.

 

“The Bahamas.” Kaiba said.

 

“Wow. Really?” Kia exclaimed.

 

“Yep.” Jou said with a wide smile on his face.

 

“We better get going mutt, or we'll miss our flight.”

 

“WHAT DID I SAY ABOUT CALLING ME THAT!!”

 

Kaiba walked over to Moukaba. “I'll be back in a few days, alright.”

 

“Okay Seto.” Moukaba said as the couple walked out the door.

 

“See ya.” Kia called. (A/N: That's my line.)

 

“Bye.” Yugi called.

 

When everything was settled, they hear another car that was parked in front of the game shop. Ryou came in with two raincoats on him, and Malik followed, who was wearing the same shirt as Yugi, but only a midnight blue color.

 

“Since we're all here.” Kia said. “I guess we should quickly go over the plans and positions before heading out.”

 

At this point, Moukaba was completely lost. “What are you guys planning?” He called out.

 

Kia dug inside her backpack she brought along and held out a laptop and went over to the counter and explained the whole thing to him. “Okay.” She said, after explaining the situation. “Now that has settled, Moukaba, you will be in charge in hacking into their files and see if you could shut down the alarms.” She said as she handed the laptop to Moukaba.

 

Everyone was really amazed on how Kia was acting. Yugi looked up at the clock, which read 8:05 a.m.

 

“I think we should explain our positions once we get there.” He said which Kia agreed, while the other three were just plain lost.

 

“Let's move out!” The twosome said as they ran outside to the truck one by one.
