Ch.25: Clocks and Summary

Atemu walked down the street, until he noticed Yugi coming out of the school gates.

“Aibou!” He called out, waving his arm.

Yugi looked over to him and ran up to him. “Hey Atemu.” He said, very glad to see him. “What's up?”

The other shrugged. “Didn't do much, just doing an errand for your grandfather.” He said as he looked over at the exiting students.

“What's that?” Yugi asked as he pointed out the box that the other was holding.

Atemu looked at him, then the box, then back to the teen. “It's a surprise.” He said with a smile as he walked, with Yugi following beside him.

“How was school?” Atemu asked.

“It was okay, but I can't wait for summer vacation.” Yugi said cheerfully, which made the other smile at his antics.

~Game Shop~
The little shop bell rang out at the two teens walk in.

“Ho, ho, hello you two.” Grandpa said joyfully. “How was your day?”

“Same chaos, different day.” Yugi said, which made Atemu give him an odd look.

“What?” He said.

“It's a figure of speech Atemu.” Yugi reassured, while Grandpa chuckled in his throat.

“I'm going to do my homework now.” Yugi announced as he quickly went up the stairs.

“Alright.” Atemu and Grandpa said as the teen got up the top step.

As Yugi was out of site, Grandpa looked at the box.

“So, what did Pro. Wind give you?” He asked.

“A new alarm clock.” Atemu simply responded, making the elder give an odd look.

~1 hour later~
“Finally!” Yugi announced as he leaned back in his chair.

“Finally what?” Atemu asked as he walked up behind the other.

“Oh, hi Atemu.” Yugi said with a smile. “I just finished my homework, which is sometimes a pain in the neck.”

Atemu looked over at the completed work and was completely lost. “And I thought the studies of being a pharaoh were hard.” He said as Yugi shook his head, trying hard not to chuckle.

“Yugi! Atemu! Dinner's ready!” Grandpa called out from downstairs.

“Okay Grandpa!” Yugi said as he got up and headed towards the door, but then stopped and looked over at the other. “Aren't you coming?” He asked.

“I'll be down in a minute.” Atemu responded as Yugi nodded and made his way to the stairs.

He placed the box on the desk and brought out the clock, then he grabbed the old alarm clock and smirked. “Farewell, you damn annoying clock.” He said as an eye formed on his forehead, which glowed and a dark portal appeared. He threw the clock in the portal and it disappeared. After that, he headed out the door and down the steps, where Yugi was right there, checking on the other if he was alright.

“What were you doing?” Yugi asked curiously.

“You'll see after dinner.” He said. “Now come on, I haven't had anything to eat all day.” He turned Yugi around and walked down the steps.

~30 minutes later~
“I'm going to bed.” Yugi said as he let out a yawn.

“Alright Yugi.” Atemu said as he looked up from his book only to see Yugi disappeared around the corner, which leads to the stairs.

A few minutes later as Atemu reached to the middle part of the book, when he felt two arms embracing him.

“Thank-you for the new clock.” Yugi said happily.

“You're welcome Aibou.” Atemu said, as he felt his face warm up.

“What's the story about?” Yugi asked as he looked over at the book.

“It's about this one character, who oddly seems to be like me in some ways, who is trying to find what he's missing.” Atemu explained.

“What's he missing?” Yugi asked as he rested his head on Atemus shoulder, which made the other slightly blush.

“I don't know yet, but the other character, who reminds me of you, who helps him while going through a few hardships, like a train wreck, fighting a deadly fever, and escaping murderous mobs.” Atemu said.

“Wow, all that trouble for something that seems pretty simple.” Yugi said as he lifted his head up.

“Seems pretty crazy to me.” The former pharaoh said, which caused the small teen to laugh.

“We should get to bed.” Yugi said as he streteched his arms over his head, this caused the other to stare, but quickly went back to reality.

“It is getting late.” He said as he got out of his seat and he and Yugi head up the stairs.

Hmm… It seems that the Pharaoh's feelings are starting to bloom, but he's a bit dense about it. R&R please.
