Ch.33: Talk
The next day was the day where they finally get on the cruise to Hawaii.
“Hurry up Yugi!” Kia shouted from the bottom step. “We have to get to the ship before the others do!”
“Why!?” Yugi shouted back as he carried his white duffle bag down.
“Because I have to do some last minute shopping and check out the rooms early to surprise them.” Kia said as Yugi came down.
“What do you mean by last minute shopping?” Yugi said, not liking the sound of it.
~Somewhere in the City: 9:37 a.m.~
“Remind me again why I'm here.” Atemu asked, who seemed a bit ticked off at the moment.
“You're here because, for the last month, we hardly got a chance to talk.” Kayra said as she sipped her coffee drink.
Atemu, Kayra, Bakura, and Marik are at a coffee place in the city.
“Did you have to call me around eight in the morning to do so?” He said a bit annoyed.
“I'm sorry, but we really need to talk.” She said.
“Well, we're here.” Bakura said. “What the hell do you want to talk about.”
“About everything we've been doing since we got here, I guess.” She said.
“Immediately hit Malik out of his mind.” Marik said with no hesitation, making the neighboring people move to a different table, far away from them.
“I had a feeling you were going to say that.” Bakura said.
“What about you then?” Marik said as if daring him.
“Where to start.” Bakura said as he leaned back in his chair.
~Flashback~
-Bakura's POV-
I was taking a nap, after kicking some guy's ass from a nearby alley. Ryou comes in and notices the dabs of blood on my shirt.
“Kura.” He said. “How many times have I told you not to go out and hurt people.”
I completely ignored him. He sighed as he sets his bag down, then he went over to the kitchen to make dinner.
“What the hell are you doing.” I said even though I all ready know the answer.
“You've been here for almost a month now.” He said over the counter. “You should know the daily routine.”
“Whatever.” Is all I could say.
He sighed as he started working. “Sometimes you're hard to understand.” He said, which I thought he was thinking out loud.
“So deal with it.” I said as I kicked back.
“OW!” He cried, which caused me to roll off the couch.
`What's his damn problem now!' I thought as I got up and walked over to the small kitchen, where I saw Ryou, shaking his hand and putting it in his mouth.
He noticed me and hid his hand behind his back. “Oh hi Kura, what brings you here?” He said trying to change the subject.
I walked up to him, he backed up a bit till he hit the counter. I looked at him, who looked pathetic, but in a cute way. I held out my hand, mentioning him to show me the problem.
He stared at my hand before he let out a sigh of defeat and lifted his hidden hand, which had a cut mark between the thumb and index finger, the cut wasn't deep though.
“What happened here?” I asked looking at the hand, which looked as though it's starting to stop bleeding.
“I was cutting potatoes.” He said.
I looked at him, with an eyebrow raised. “That's it? That's why you caused such a racket over for?” I said as he nodded shyly. I rolled my eyes in annoyance, then I started licking the blood off his hand, which caused him to go through different shades of red. I can't but help but to lick around his index finger.
“I-I-I b-better f-finish d-d-dinner.” He said as he quickly walked over to finish what he started.
I leaned against the counter and watched him going to one place to another. When he finally finished what he needed to do, he sat down on one of the chairs, fanning himself, which made me feel like I want to pounce him and claim him, but I knew he would be scared and I would probably lose him.
`I may be as crazy as Marik, but I think things through like Kayra.' I thought. `And I'm almost as sane as the Pharaoh.' I mentally gagged for thinking of the comparison between me and him. Though I have to give him good points for sparing my life and being his friend and all, but sometimes he needs to get his head out of his royal ass.
“Kura, Kura. Earth to Kura-chan.” Ryou said waving his hand in front of my face.
“Huh?” I snapped out of my train of thought.
“Dinner's ready.” He chirped with a smile.
`I swear that smile will become the death of me!' I thought to myself.
~After dinner~
He went to take a shower, while I laid down on the couch, staring at the ceiling. I started to doze off after a few minutes.
At that time, Ryou was out of the shower and was only wearing his navy p.j. pants. I could hear him quietly coming towards me, but I stayed still, curious on what the other was doing.
I felt his soft hand caressing my cheek, which was unexpected, but I liked it, a lot. Then I felt something warm on my lips and I soon realized that he was kissing me, and I loved that feeling. I lifted my hand and found its way to the back of Ryou's head, making him pinned down.
He tried to get up, but stopped struggling when I traced my tongue on his lower lip, asking for entrance, which was granted. I felt the moist cavern as our tongues battle for dominance, I won in the end.
~End of Flashback~
“I think you guys know what happened next.” Bakura said as he took a sip of his cold, bitter coffee.
The other three stayed completely silent, until Kayra spoke up.
“So, Atemu, how are you and Yugi doing?”
Atemu shrugged. “Nothing much really.” He said with a tint of pink across his face.
The other's looked at him as if he was from another planet.
“What do you mean?” She asked, knowing better.
“It's nothing to talk about.” He said, looking annoyed.
She didn't buy it and looked over to Bakura. “I believe you have a few words to say for our dear friend.”
Bakura rolled his eyes as he got up and walked over to Atemu. “You're hiding something, and your not telling us a damn thing.” He said as he glared dagger at him.
“And what are you going to do about it.” Atemu said.
Bakura wrapped his arm around his neck. “Marik, Kayra, will you do the honors.” He said as the two went either side of the confused Pharaoh.
“What are you-“ He was about to say when Marik and Kayra started to tickle his sides.
“The only way that you can get out of this is to spill the beans.” She said as she continued to tickle his left side.
“A-al-alright! J-just s-stop.” He said between his laughter.
The two stopped and Bakura let the grip from the other's neck loose. While he caught his breath, he looked at the trio, who were waiting for him to speak.
“So, how is Yugi?” Kayra asked again.
“He's fine. He keeps putting his arm around me when we go to sleep, but I don't mind.” Atemu said as he zoned out for a while, remembering how warm the smaller teen felt every night.
The others noticed his zoning out and they couldn't help but smirk.
“You like him.” Marik said, his smirk deepens.
Atemu felt his heart rising to his throat as he felt his face burn. “Uh, well, I…” He stammered making everyone roll their eyes.
“That answers that.” Bakura said as he finished his coffee.
Atemu looked completely dumbstrucked as he said this. `What in Ra's name is wrong with me!?' He thought as he finished his coffee as well.
“So, what was it like?” Marik said slyly. “You know, making love to him?”
Atemu eyes shot wide opened and, as quick as lightening; he grabbed Marik by the collar. “WHY YOU!! HOW COULD!! I WOULD NEVER!!!” He was confused in his raging outburst, which caused everyone around the four to stare.
“Whoa Pharaoh, take it easy.” Marik said, a bit spooked, as he lifted his hands up in defeat.
“Marik!” Kayra said firmly. “You should know better. You know he's too much of a gentleman to do that.”
“Hey!” A voice from behind them called out.
They turned to see Alysia.
“If you're done arguing, want to go to the mall?” She asked.
“Why?” They said in unison.
“Because there's a party on the ship and we need to get ready.” She said.
“Alright.” Kayra said as she got up. “We ran out of subjects to talk about.”
