Ch. 46: Shouting Lately?

 

After eating brunch, Yugi and Atemu went down to the beach and looked around the shops that were nearby.

 

“Wow! Atemu look at that!” Yugi said as he pointed out at the ocean's horizon.

 

Atemu looked and saw dolphins jumping out of the water. “Good eyes.” He complemented, which made Yugi giggle.

 

They looked out to the horizon a bit before continuing to walk.

 

“Maybe we should head back.” Yugi said. “Just to make sure everything's okay from this morning.”

 

Atemu nodded. “And see if anyone made it through Alysia's wrath.” Yugi laughed at that small statement and started to walk back.

 

They walked up the steps towards their hut, they stopped at one hut, where they heard a lot of talking.

 

Atemu knocked, knowing who was staying there.

 

Bakura opened the door, his hair soaked with some noticeable golden-brown stuff in it. “Where the hell were you?” He said.

 

“What happened to you?” Atemu asked, tiring to contain his chuckle at the site.

 

“Food fight at the buffet.” Bakura said.

 

“What happened?” Yugi asked in a curious manor.

 

“Some jerk was picking on Moukaba and started to cry, which pissed Alysia to the danger level and started to kick the guys ass. Then she nailed him to this one side of the table and flung all the food that was on it.” Bakura explained. “And you can guess the rest.”

 

“Must have been one heck of a food fight.” Atemu said.

 

“Kura!” Ryou called from the other part of the hut. “I can't get the syrup off!”

 

“Hold on!” Bakura said with a mischievous smile on his face then faced the other two. “As much as I like to talk to you, I must assist my syrup-covered love.” He closed the door afterward.

 

“At least everyone is well.” Yugi said.

 

“I wish I could say the same fate for the one who was unfortunate enough to get their ass kicked by Alysia.” Atemu said.

 

Yugi nodded in response. “Speaking of which, I wonder how Alysia and Moukaba are doing.” He said.

 

“I'm sure they're alright.” Atemu said as he thought for a moment. “But I guess it's safe to check, in case if the event has made Alysia hate the world.”

 

Yugi nodded.

 

They heard giggles inside the hut and looked at one another, then quickly walked away from the more-than-occupied-hut.

 

Atemu stole a glance at Yugi a couple times when the thought of the other covered with something sweet came across his mind, which he had to quickly shake it off so it won't affect him.

 

As they reached to Alysia and Moukaba's hut, which is also Seto's and Jou's hut, it was empty.

 

“I guess they went out like Kayra and Kia.” Yugi said. “Now what?”

 

“ `Ey! Yug!” as if an answer to his call, someone called behind them.

 

They turned to see Jou running up to them.

 

“Hey Jou! How's it going?” Yugi said as Jou reached up to him.

 

“Tis alrigh'.” Jou said, taking some deep breaths. “Wha `bout ya?”

 

“I'm good.” Yugi replied.

 

“I know ya are, but `ow are ya?” Jou joked.

 

Yugi laughed then looked over at Atemu, who was enjoying the site. “Oh! I can't believe how rude I am.” He said as he hit his head. “Atemu, this is my best friend, Jou.” He introduced. “Jou, you know Atemu.”

 

“Nice to meet you Jou.” Atemu said holding out his hand.

 

“Back at cha!” Jou said as he shook the offered hand. “Yug talked `bout ya when you're out.”

 

“Really.” Atemu said as a statement then a question as he looked over and saw Yugi in a light shade of pink tinted his face.

 

“Yeah! I'd swear, if e'd cried anymore, e'd make da next Nile Riva.” Jou said as he let go of the other's hand.

 

“Are we forgetting something Mutt.” Seto said as he came up the steps.

 

Jou gave him a small glare. “Dis is my pain-in-the-ass boyfriend, Seto.” He said.

 

“Well, you're not really easy to train either Pup.” Seto countered.

 

“ENOUGH WID DA DOG NAMES ALREADY!!” Jou shouted.

 

“Oh boy.” Yugi said with a sweat drop.

 

They watched the argument like they're watching tennis, until the arguing couple stopped and stared at each other, as if daring the other to speak. The sound of a cell going off was present and Seto sighed in annoyance.

 

“Well Mutt, looks like its back to work.” Seto said as he leaned towards Jou and gave him a small kiss on the lips. “See you tonight.”

 

“I'll be waiting, Dragon.” Jou said with a hint of humor sarcasium.

 

Seto started to walk off to the other direction, but then stopped and looked over at Yugi and Atemu. “Nice to see you again Yugi and nice to see you out of the sickbed Atemu.” He said.

 

“Same here.” Atemu said.

 

After that, Seto continued his way.

 

“So, Atemu,” Jou said. “Yug told meh dat you were some kinda ruler?”

 

“A pharaoh actually.” Atemu said.

 

“Dats cool! Was it hard?” Jou asked.

 

“If you count learning ten different languages, politics, war, and history at the age of seven, then yes it was.” Atemu said.

 

“Damn! And I thought dat school was bad.” Jou said, which made everyone laugh.

 

“YUGI! ATEMU!” Alysia's voice was heard.

 

“Over here Alysia!” Yugi said as she came out of the bushes.

 

“What's up?” Atemu asked.

 

“Yeah, wha'd all da yellin' about?” Jou said.

 

“I was wondering if you guys would like to go see a movie with me and Moukaba.” Alysia said.

 

“Sounds fun.” Yugi said.

 

“What are we going to watch?” Atemu asked.

 

“Flightplan.” She said.

 

They heard Moukaba coming up the steps, panting.

 

“What took ya.” Alysia said.

 

“Trying to catch up with you.” Moukaba said as he sat down on the step.

 

“Then walked faster next time.” Alysia said placing her hand on her hips.

 

“Oh, thanks, as if I never tried it before!” Moukaba said.

 

“So… when's the movie?” Jou asked before things started to get ugly for the youngest couple of the group.

 

Alyisa and Moukaba went completely silent.

 

“If we leave now we should make the beginning part.” Alysia said.

 

“Great! More walking!” Moukaba complained.

 

“I'll buy the sour punch candies you like.” She said with a smirk.

 

Moukaba stared at her, as if searching for a clue. “I hate it when you use my weak point to your advantage.” He said as he got up.

 

Alysia smiled triumphly as she hugged him, which made him flush, but he rolled his eyes in defeat and stood up.

 

The other three looked at the innocent site and have to shake their heads as they followed them down the stairs.

 

“Why can't we catch a later one?” Moukaba asked.

 

“The theater will probably close by then!” Alysia said.

 

“Looks like we have another arguing couple in the group.” Atemu said with a smile.

 

“Not ta mention da only straight couple in da group.” Jou said.

 

“Yeah, but at least they get along well.” Yugi said as they watched Alysia giving Moukaba an arm lock and ruffling his hair.

 

“Alysia! Cut it out!” Moukaba said as he struggled to get himself free.

 

“But I like your hair. Why do you want it cut off?” Alysia said in a joking manner.

 

“Ya sure Yug?” Jou said. “Looks ta me dat they're like me and Seto.”

 

“I believe you're right.” Atemu said.

 

“Let go of me Alysia!” Moukaba said, still trying to get out of Alysia's grasp.

 

“Not until you fix that attitude!” Alysia said.

 

The three sweat dropped as they continued to follow the bickering twosome.

Yep and I'm working on “Paper Flowers” right now so that it will be posted up by the time the last chapter of this story is being read by all you reviewers, even though you don't comment on my work! Except D&L, floatinghearts, and a few others who I forget. Well, as you all should know by now, R&R please.
