Reflection Chapter 3: Genwaku No Umi Kara (From the Dazzling Sea)

I don't remember exactly when I fell asleep there in Seto's arms, well if you could call it sleep. It was more like a light dozing. Or "Limbo Land" as Serenity calls it sometimes. All I remember was it felt really nice. He had stopped reading a while ago and he sang to me as he held me in his arms, his voice soft, barely a whisper. I don't know why, but I think I dreamed of the ocean. And Seto's blue eyes gazing upon me.

Listening carefully to the voice I hear,
I entrusted my body to the movements of the waves. *\\)
I see him there, walking upon the water like a God. The waves wash gently over his feet, the white silk he wore blowing softy in the wind. His voice is a breeze against my face, caressing me and envolping me in it's embrace. The words hold me and I feel as though I am suspended in time. Everything stops as I drift in the depths of his presence.

spreads out with a dizzy feeling,

He reaches for me, enfolding me in his arms, and I sigh as I sink into his touch. He is warm to my touch, ever so comforting, gently running his hands up and down my back. I feel light headed with emotion, my body not wanting to support itself. But he holds me, slowly swaying back and forth to the lyrics of his song, and I feel that I cannot know loneliness now.

I close my eyes, resting my head on his shoulder, his gentle rocking lulling me. I open my eyes to find myself back in front of the fire, in his arms. He is looking down on me with warm eyes, his lips moving with the words of the song, his voice a whisper. His blue depths are an open book to me now, and I can see the years of pent up emotion inside those pools of sapphire.

Hell I almost want to start purring.{1} I snuggle into his chest, breathing him in deeply. I don't want this to end. I want to stay here in his arms. If it's a dream, don't wake me. If I die now, I'll die a happy man.

How much I've always loved him, even though we were the most bitter of rivals. He smiles down at me, his lips never stopping as the words come out in hushed whispers. Those lips look so inviting. I reach up, caressing his face with my fingertips, pulling myself up to kiss him softly. He dosen't stop singing, the lyrics brushing my lips, making me shiver in the most plesant way.

I pull back and he is still singing. He wants to finish singing his song as much as I want to hear it. I stand and pull him to his feet, wrapping my arms around him and swaying lightly to the music in my head, to his sentual, velvety voice. The light of the fire dances on his features, making him look even more stunning than he already is.{2}

I smile and begin to kiss his neck, gently nipping then kissing to soothe the bites. Then he says what I've been hoping he would.
