Here is chapter 14! Thanks all who are being patient with us! WE LOVE YOU GUYS!!!

Ryou continued to be a correspondent between Seto and Marik learning more and more about the business everyday. However it did make Ryou nervous that every time he went to drop off paperwork to Seto or give him new information Seto always managed to make him stay…each time it got later and later until he was usually with him past midnight which not only left Ryou exhausted it rose questions in Marik. Marik tried to play it off as just plain paranoia, but he was the jealous type unfortunately and Ryou was ending up spending more time with Seto than he was with him. When Ryou stayed over particularly late, he always came home tired so it put a strain on their sex life as well making them both a little edgy and frustrated, but nonetheless both of them said nothing. Marik didn't want Ryou to think he didn't trust him and Ryou just didn't want to cause any problems so that he could continue to contribute to the business.

Ryou groaned slightly as he walked home, Marik had gotten him a cell phone since he had been late so often and it was now two in the morning. He was tired and went straight to the bedroom finding Marik already asleep. Seto had made some drastic changes to the proposal and such keeping Ryou late…as usual. Marik would usually wait up for him no matter how late he stayed and it appeared that he had tried having fallen asleep at his laptop his reading glasses still on his face. Ryou took Marik's laptop and glasses off his face and lap placing them on the bedside table and helping Marik lay back down in bed as he took off his clothes and crawled in bed next to him to exhausted to do much else.

Ryou awoke to feather-light kisses on his neck and collarbone compliments of Marik.

"I'm sorry I didn't wait up for you." He apologized softly

Ryou smiled "I'm sorry I was so late…I really wish he wouldn't keep me away from you so long." Ryou said turning around and hugging him. "Seto made some pretty drastic changes I dropped most of them by your office but I have to stop by and get the rest that he didn't finish working upon." Ryou sat up still tired as he rubbed the sleep out of his eyes. Marik frowned and hugged Ryou.

"You should take a day off love…you're not used to not getting a full nights rest and your obviously drained darling. Take a day off?" Marik asked.

Ryou smiled "I'd like that…let me get the rest of the paperwork, drop it by your office, and then I'll take the day off." Ryou smiled "I'm going to go early, knowing he probably slept there last night." Ryou said shaking his head and pulling on some simple clothing not feeling like getting dressed up or anything.

"You two, getting along still?" Marik asked trying to be casual.

"I guess…I really wish he wouldn't keep me so late though, I miss spending time with you." He said crawling back in bed to gently kiss Marik although he wanted much more at the moment, but he couldn't have it, he would at least need to finish what he started last night with Seto. Ryou gave Marik a small smile as he got into his car with his driver and they went toward Seto's office Ryou nearly falling asleep on the way there but managing to stay awake. He got into the elevator going up to the top floor where Seto awaited in his office for the anticipation of Ryou's early arrival.

"Good to see you here so early." Seto said flashing Ryou a bright smile.

"I can't really stay …I was hoping I could pick up the rest of the files I gave you yesterday…did you manage to finish yet?" Ryou asked hopefully?

Seto frowned "Unfortunately no, I didn't have time last night I fell asleep at the desk last night in all reality." Seto said.

Ryou laughed slightly "We have all been working too hard…" Ryou said shaking his head at their sleep depravation tendencies.

"But regardless, relax a moment and I'll have this finished in no time." Seto said smiling obviously refreshed compared to Ryou who took a seat on the couch.

By the time Seto had finished the last of the paperwork, the exhausted Ryou had fallen asleep on the couch. One arm above his head the other relaxing on his stomach as his hair was spread around framing his beautiful face perfectly. Ryou's lips parted slightly into a small smile as Seto sat on the edge of the coffee table in front of the pale boy touching his face and hair marveling at how incredibly soft it truly was as he sighed happily. He looked at Ryou's lips they looked so soft…god how he wanted to taste him. Seto couldn't help but lean over and capture Ryou's lips in his own kissing the boy gently until he was thrown off quite violently by the now obviously awakened Ryou who had an appalled look on his face as a free hand covered his mouth the other helping him to his feet as he continued to look at Seto shocked.

Seto shook his head registering that Ryou was obviously not pleased with being kissed by him as he brought himself to his feet holding his hands up in defense hoping the youth wouldn't run off. "Listen Ryou, I'm sorry I didn't mean to wake you…" Ryou interrupted him.

"Wake me? You think I'm shocked because you woke me up?" Ryou asked in disbelief. He had felt something tickle his face and then someone's lips as he opened his eyes only to see Seto kissing him, which was to say the least a big surprise on Ryou's part. So many questions arose, the main being 'why was Seto kissing me?'.

"Why did you…" Ryou began but Seto stepped closer making Ryou stop and take a step back. He remembered this routine anytime Marik wanting something he would step closer to him until Ryou was in a corner…"No…stay a good distance please, or I swear I will leave right now." Ryou said hoping that Seto wouldn't call his bluff if Seto wanted to stop him from leaving he could easily do so with little or no effort.

"Ryou I'm sorry…don't be like this, just hear me out." Seto said as Ryou shook his head. "I am sorry but Ryou…I lo…" Ryou cut Seto off.

"No! Don't say it, just don't say it I don't want to hear it, I couldn't possibly…" Ryou looked away from Seto. "Why are you doing this can't you see I'm with Marik, isn't it obvious?" Ryou asked.

"Painfully…" Seto said in a low tone.

Ryou frowned "Then why? Why even bother if you knew?" Ryou asked

"Because regardless I still feel the same, are you completely blind Ryou? Don't you see that the reason I keep you so late is so I can just be near you?" Seto said stepping closer to Ryou who eventually was backed up into the wall.

"Then why didn't you say anything? When we were at school, god knows you had the chance." Ryou said shaking his head.

"Because I didn't know it then…" Seto said placing a hand on Ryou's cheek

"I don't know what you expect me to do Seto, I love Marik…not you." Ryou said about to leave but Seto slammed his hands on either side of his head making him jump as he leaned closer to him their bodies almost flush against one another pressing Ryou further into the corner of the room as Seto ran his hands down Ryou's arms his hot breath tickling his neck.

"S-Seto, I have to go, p-please move…" He said barely above a whisper.

Seto pressed his lips against Ryou's ear "And if I don't?" eh said kissing Ryou's neck before biting down particularly hard on his shoulder.

"AHHHH!" Ryou screamed trying to push Seto off him as Seto pulled at his shirt exposing more of his shoulder and bit harder upon his shoulder making Ryou whimper slightly.

He released Ryou lifting his chin and kissing him hard although Ryou still pushed against him trying to stop him as his hands began to wander around his body. 'No, no, no, please make him stop! Something, anything just give me the opportunity!' The phone to his office suddenly rang making Seto turn as Ryou ran from the corner grabbing the paperwork and leaving quickly.

Ryou looked in the mirror of the car at the evident purple bruise forming quickly on his shoulder, at least he could cover it up but he didn't know if it was something he could easily hide forever. Ryou felt horrible as he walked inside Marik's mansion he couldn't help but keep on wiping his lips he felt like he had done something wrong…he tried to convince himself that it was Seto's fault but it wasn't working. Not to mention what was he supposed to tell Marik, he knew he should tell him something but he couldn't figure out what. He knew Marik would probably be furious and he didn't want to stop working for them, Ryou hated the feeling of uselessness. He walked into the study placing the paperwork on the desk as he was suddenly grabbed from behind and lifted in the air. He screamed not knowing who it was until he was being held upside-down by Marik. Who smiled at him broadly.

"Marik!" Ryou said trying to lift himself up so Marik would let him go but Marik only twirled them around in a circle until Ryou was too dizzy to stand up on his own. Marik placed him on the ground where he sat trying to get the room to stop spinning.

"I took the day off so I could spend it with you." Marik said still smiling.

Ryou gave him a forced smile, Regardless of Marik's playfulness Ryou still felt terrible on the inside. "That's great…" Ryou said softly as he stood up a little shakily.

Marik frowned slightly "You don't seem to thrilled with it." He said

"I am…I guess I'm still a little tired though." Ryou said. He wasn't telling the full truth for his melancholy behavior but he wasn't lying either…he was still tired after all.

"Well…then take a nap and we'll go someplace nice to spend the day." He said gently hugging Ryou and kissing him softly on the cheek. "I'll review what Seto has done to my project while you rest." Marik said sitting upon his desk in the study as Ryou slipped out of the room and went into the nearest bedroom he found.

He lay down on the soft sheets hugging himself. 'Damn this guilty conscience of mine…' Ryou grumbled unhappily. He decided to try and fall asleep hoping to forget it ever happened entirely but the scene kept on replaying over and over in his mind. It only made him feel worse, when he woke up being worse off than he already was. He forced himself to try to be happy to spend time with Marik but he couldn't seem to fool the lavender eyed lover of his. Marik knew something was wrong but as he continued to press the subject, it only made Ryou more upset. Marik hated to upset Ryou but he hated more to be lied to. He knew he had made if painfully clear to Ryou while they were upon his yacht that he wouldn't tolerate being lied to…he had never lied to Ryou so why Ryou found it necessary to lie to him was beyond Marik. Even if he was doing this to prevent confrontation, it didn't give him the right to lie. Ryou was worried what tonight would bring more than anything he couldn't be with Marik tonight no matter how much he wanted to, he felt like he had cheated on Marik and didn't deserve him…not to mention Seto's little act brought to mind to many bad memories of when Marik wouldn't take 'no' for an answer and he was almost frightened that Marik wouldn't take kindly to him not wanting him tonight.

"Ryou…" Marik said softly coming up behind Ryou and hugging him softly. He kissed his neck but noticed Ryou get incredibly tense at the action as he let him go. "Is something wrong?" He asked gently.

"N-no I just…" Ryou moved away from him he didn't want to be kissed or held tonight he felt bad enough as it was without taking comfort in Marik's arms because he didn't deserve that privilege at all. "Please Marik not tonight, I don't feel that well." He said softly giving Marik a pleading look.

Marik nodded "You act as if I would force you." He said meaning for it to be a joke but Ryou obviously didn't find it funny as he turned away from him. Marik frowned "Ryou…" He said turning Ryou around so he could look into his eyes holding on to his arms. "You don't think I would actually force you do you?" He asked concerned that Ryou was still afraid of him.

"No…" Ryou said trailing off slightly "I know you wouldn't Marik, but it's not funny to try and joke about something like that." Ryou said shifting his gaze to the floor.

"I had hoped we were past all that though…" Marik said letting go of Ryou's arms.

"It's not something that I will be able to forget in a few short week's Marik. I'm able to look past it, even forget it for a while. But it hasn't been removed completely from my concise." Ryou said, "Have you totally forgot?" Ryou asked.

Marik sighed irritated; he didn't want to get into a spat with Ryou about something that would never happen again. "It's in the past Ryou, I don't dwell on something that doesn't matter to me anymore." He said.

Ryou looked up at him sadly "It mattered to me." Ryou said trying to walk past Marik but Marik grabbed Ryou by the arm.

Out of instinct Ryou shot out his other hand slapping Marik across the face roughly "Let go!" Ryou screamed until realized what he had done as he covered his mouth appalled with his actions. He looked at Marik who simply stood his face turned to the left, his cheek slightly red from being slapped, his eyes closed, and fist's and jaw clenched tightly as if he was trying to restrain himself from something. Ryou took a step away form him.

"M-Marik I'm so sorry…I didn't mean to do that at all, it was an accident!" Ryou bit his lower lip not sure how to make this situation any better. "It was instinct." Ryou said softly.

"To hit me?" Marik said, anger lining his voice as he opened his eyes slightly the pale lavender eyes turning a deep violet. He straightened himself up "Your instinct is to hurt me?" He asked obviously angry with him.

Ryou shook his head, his words only made the situation worse. "No, that's not what I mean at all…I have never wanted to hurt you." Ryou said his voice almost breaking.

"Your actions would prove otherwise…" Marik said teeth clenched.

"Marik please I just…" Ryou felt a few tears slide down his face, the day had been a complete disaster and it was his entire fault. "Marik I'm sorry for everything…I never meant to cause you any problems or make you unhappy in any way I just…" Ryou didn't know how to finish.

"You just what?" Marik said impatiently "I try to show affection and I get a slap in the face for it…literally." He seethed making Ryou cringe.

"It was an accident! I'm sorry!" Ryou yelled still wanting to cry but pushing his tears back.

"How the hell do you hit someone by accident?!" Marik yelled back "Even if it was just and instinctual reaction do you actually think saying sorry helps?" Marik said.

"You tell me…you've hit me countless time's, and I have forgiven you each time." Ryou said hitting Marik hard with those words.

"Were not talking about me…" Marik started but Ryou cut him off.

"Of course not…I'm the one who has done wrong, I'm the one who deserves to be punished. What do you want me to do? Strip, lay face down on the bed? Allow you to tie me up, take me and leave me there for the night to think about what I did? Just like old times, when I displeased you? Is that what you want…Master?" Ryou said in an emotionless tone of voice making Marik sigh deeply.

"Why are you acting like this? It has been weeks since I've even looked at you in a harmful way and you bring this up now? What happened today? You were fine this morning I don't understand…" Marik paused "Did Seto do something? Is this why you are acting like this?" Marik asked.

"Don't try and shift blame Marik …" Ryou looked down at his feet "I am sorry…" Ryou said trailing off and leaving the room

Ryou left the mansion calling a cab before Marik could stop him from leaving. Ryou couldn't stand to be near him at the moment as he cried in the cab on the way home ignoring his cell phone vibrating in his pocket.

Ryou walked inside his house it being almost nightfall as he was meet by Bakura.

"Ryou? What's wrong?" He asked

"Shut-up." Ryou said walking upstairs to his bedroom lying down on the bed as he turned off his cell and cried softly to himself saying a thousand apologies repeatedly hoping that Marik could forgive him for acting the way he did…Marik didn't deserve anything of what he said but he couldn't keep his mouth shut.

"Ryou? Please Ryou I know your crying…you can tell me what happened." Bakura whispered through the door.

"I just want to be left alone Bakura…just let me alone." He sobbed.

"Damn him…" Marik seethed angrily and he hung up the phone throwing on his coat and heading out the door. Ryou was going to talk to him weather he liked it or not, something was wrong especially if it brought on such an outburst of emotions and come hell or high water he was going to figure out what.

He decided to drive himself as he parked his car and stepped out, hesitating slightly to go up the walkway. 'Maybe I should leave him alone for a moment…' Marik thought but the nagging voice in the back of his head told him he had come this far might as well go the rest of the way. He rung the doorbell and waited for an answer.

At first, he thought it was Ryou who answered the door but realized it most certainly was not. His brother had a remarkable resemblance to him, the same long white hair although his was much more untamed, pale skin, and chocolate eye's, although his features were much more sharp and ridged…not to mention he was also more muscular and older that Ryou was. Marik shook those thoughts away and felt slightly silly for staring at him.

"I…I need to speak with Ryou." Marik said simply

Bakura eyed him suspiciously "Why? My brother is no concern of yours." He said

Marik glared at him and was surprised to see that the other didn't falter in the slightest, he was obviously unaffected by a stare that leave most trembling. "My business with Ryou is that of my own and he is my concern." Marik said wanting to shove past the boy blocking his way but hoping he would move.

"Are you the reason he is upset? Were you the one who made him cry and are now trying to make amends?" He asked

"No, and even if I had why must you interfere?" Marik asked

"I'm his brother, I'm not always around so when I am I make it a point to protect him from those who hurt him like you." He snarled.

"I did nothing of the sort, now are you going to let me in?" He asked irritated Ryou's brother also had a smart attitude about him and seemed a little temperamental.

He growled slightly but stepped aside-allowing Marik inside. "My name is Bakura, but good luck trying to talk to him he has locked himself in his room." He said walking into the living room. "I tried to talk to him but he said he wanted to be left alone…" Bakura said trailing off slightly.

Marik sighed as he looked around the house; there were not many good memories in this house between him and Ryou. Even the couch that Bakura sat upon told horrible stories, as did many other places. The coffee table the walls…even the kitchen. He shook his head of that thought he needed to get Ryou to talk to him, he loved him, no matter what the little youth did he couldn't stay mad for very long and now was no exception.
