Yu-Gi-Oh! Fan Fiction ❯ Reunited ❯ Bowling and Bakura ( Chapter 1 )

I wasn't really liking my other story, so I decided it was time for some new ideas.

Ryou didn't really like bowling. Probably because he wasn't very good at it. But here he was, bowling, because Yugi had decided it was time he got out. Yugi had also taken the liberty of setting him up with a date, a kid from their school named Jou who was Yugi's close friend. Jou was nice enough, and Ryou had to admit he thought he was pretty cute, but he wasn't sure he wanted to get close to anybody. The last person he had gotten close to had been his Yami, Bakura, and that hadn't turned out well. Bakura had basicly moved out when he told him and Ryou had been depressed for months. That was a few years ago and Ryou still wasn't sure he was ready for a relationship.

"Ryou come back to us!" Jou joked seeing how Ryou was spacing out "it's your turn."

Ryou got up and actually managed to knock down a few pins on his second roll. He was the last bowler and it was the tenth frame so they decided to take a break before the next game. Ryou volunteered to get some snacks while everyone else played in the arcade. Ryou walked up to the snack bar and was surprised to say the least to see his Yami working there!

"Bakura, why the hell are you working at the bowling alley?" Ryou asked still surprised.

Bakura, having not seen Ryou, turned around upon hearing his name. "Holy shit Ryou, haven't seen you for awhile." he started. "and I need the cash, not doing to well."

Ryou paused, still in shock and momentarily surprised the his Yami was working for money instead of using other methods of obtaining cash. He recovered quickly however and stated somewhat upset "Well you'd be doing fine if you hadn't moved out."

"Listen Ryou, about that, I just needed some time to think about stuff and I am sorry for not giving you a decent explanation for rejecting you. I really do care about you, you know, it's just hard for me." he explained uncharacteristically serious.

"And you think it wasn't hard for me to tell you how I felt! But I got over it because I really loved you." Ryou replied hurt still.

Bakura looked at him sorrowfully. "I'm sorry I hurt you Ryou, but I have missed you, and I want to spend time with you again."

Ryou looked like he wanted to tell him off, but of course he couldn't, he still loved his Yami despite his anger. "Well you know where I live." he mumbled. "Oh yeah, and I wanted an order of cheesesticks, two burgers, and two large sodas." he said and couldn't help but smiling as he did so. He couldn't believe he was ordering food from his Yami at a bowling alley.

He then remembered his friends and looked back to see them still at the arcade, however Jou was definately giving Bakura some nasty looks. "Um, Bakura I need to get back to my friends, so maybe I'll see you sometime." he said hastily.

"Sure Ryou, again I'm sorry and I'm glad our paths crossed, must be destiny." he said impishly. "Now go bowl, I'll be watching your tight ass."

Ryou felt a blush creep up his face at this, if he was bowling bad before he'd certainly be bowling bad now knowing he was being watched. His friends were back at their lane now and it was obvious Yugi and Yami had informed Jou about who Bakura was.

"Why were you talking to him Ryou, he left you! He doesn't deserve you!" he began heatedly when Ryou sat down but Yugi silenced him with a look and they began bowling again. Jou wasn't about to let Ryou and Bakura talk again so he went to get the food when it was ready.

"Hey stay away from Ryou you ass." he couldn't help telling Bakura as he got the food.

Bakura just laughed contemptuously, and Jou walked back to the group a bit unnerved. But he quickly forgot as they talked and laughed about school and their friends. "...So Anzu walks up to Otogi and smacks him across the face and then he smacks her right back!" Jou said, describing the time when Otogi kissed Mai after just turning Anzu down. Everyone laughed hysterically at this and it led to other stories so the time passed fairly quickly.

Ryou and Yugi's house were in the same direction, but Jou's wasn't, so him and Ryou said their goodbyes outside the bowling alley. "I had a great time Ryou, maybe we can do something another time?" he asked hopefully.

"Maybe Jou, I had fun too." Ryou said, distracted by thoughts of his Yami. So he was pretty surprised when Jou pulled him into a hug and kissed him before walking away.

"Wow Ryou." Yugi teased as Ryou ran his hand through his hair confusedly. Jou must really like him, and he felt bad because he didn't think he could feel the same. Yami noticed Ryou's expression and looked at Yugi, who fell quiet. They started walking home in silence.

Yep, I'm definately feeling this story, o_~ So review and let me know if I should continue. Also, I'm kind of curious as to if anyone likes het or yuri pairings, so maybe mention that too!
