Joey and Yami left Yugi to get some rest. Yugi said it was all right for them to tell every one he was back. Even though he wanted to do that there was no way the doctors were going to let him out of the hospital so soon. Joey and Yami took Keith with them. He didn't want to leave Yugi, but it was three agents one. Yugi had insisted that Keith went with them. When they got back to the game shop Joey found he had a very angry wife waiting for him.

"And just ware have you been Joey?" Joey was about to explain. "We were at the hospital." Yami said stepping in with Keith. Keith was still shorter then Yugi, so he only came to Yami's chest. Every one looked at Yami then Keith then back at Joey. "I think you better start form the beginning." Grandpa said. "Ok but you might want to sit down for this." Joey said, and every one went into the living room.
"Why don't you start by telling us who the kid is?" Seto said. "This is Keith, he's a friend of Yugi's" Yami said.

"What! You know Yugi?!" Tristen said. "Yes I know Yugi. He was staying with me and my…me and Ruth." Keith explained every thing about how they met, and that Yugi had lived with them for the past four years. And Yugi did try and write them but Ruth always took the letters and tore them up.

~~~Flash back~~~

"Hey Yugi what's ya doin?" Keith asked looking over Yugi's shoulder.

"I'm writing a letter to my grandpa and friends."

"I thought you said they weren't your friends."

"I never said that. I said they were just ignoring me, but I miss them and now…I don't think they meant to ignore me. And I was starting to think about going home, that is why I am writing to them. To see if they want me home."

Just then the door to their room slams open. "Jus wa ar you two doin?" Ruth was really drunk; Yugi grabbed his stuff and shoved it under the bed hoping she didn't see it. She walked over and hit Yugi and Keith out of the way. Yugi didn't care about the letter he could always write another one, right now he and Keith had to get out of the house for the night. "Keith hurry." Keith and Yugi ran out of the room. Ruth started chasing them. She caught Keith first. "You want to leave!?" she yelled whale punching and kicking him. "NO!" Yugi ran back to help him but she gabbed Yugi by his hair and latterly dragged him to the basement stairs and threw him down. Keith ran down to help Yugi. Ruth closed the door and locked it. It was two days before she let them out. Yugi went to find all his letters he was going to send torn up.

"So that's why you two were in the hospital? Yugi is there?" Mokuba said. Joey nodded. "He said he wanted to wait till tomorrow to see every one." Yami said, they under stood. Yugi had just come back and then he gets beet up and finds his Yami again and his best friend. It was a little over whelming for him.

Yugi couldn't seem to sleep at all. He was worried that every one would be ad at him cues he ran away. Joey said that every one missed him, and they just wanted him to come home. He looked over at the clock, 3:30 am. He lied back onto the pillow. "I wonder if Yami is waiting for me in my sole room?" He closed his eyes and went to sleep.

Sure enough Yami was waiting for him on his bed. Yugi smiled at him and sat next to him on the bed. "Aibou what are you thinking about?" Yugi looked at his darker half. "Just what I should say to every one tomorrow." He sighed. "How's Keith doing?" He asked. "He is fine. Grandpa let him sleep in your room." Yugi nodded. "He told us some of the stuff that happened to you. Why didn't you just leave and come home?" Yami asked. "I wanted to but Keith didn't want to leave, he had no place elts to go, so he staid…I couldn't leave him alone in that place."

"I under stand."

"I can't stop thinking about those times." Yugi leaned on Yami; he then felt strong arms rap around him. He felt safe, for the first time in four years. How he missed this feeling. A tear rolled down his cheek. Why was he crying? He had stopped crying after the first month that he got beat.

~~~Flash Back~~~

Yugi and Keith ran out the bedroom trying to get away from another one of Ruth's beatings. "I said get back here!" They could hear her, she was gaining on them. Yugi had seen her like this before but never this bad. Keith had said that she can get really mean when she is drunk but he never imagined that sweet Ruth would beat up him and Keith. "Gotcha!" Ruth grabbed Yugi by the ankle.

"Thought you could run away from me?" She hit him hard in the face. "Yami…" Yugi whispered, as she hit him over and over again, he started crying.

"Stop crying!" she yelled and hit him as hard as she could in the stomach. Yugi curled up in a tight ball; he tried to catch his breath. The next thing he knew she had started kicking him. "You little shit. I said stop crying!" She kicked him till he couldn't move. He looked up and saw her walk over and does the same thing to Keith.

Two boys lay in the living room on the floor. Ruth had gone out again. Keith crawled over to Yugi. "Yugi are you alright?"

"I will never cry again…" Yugi whispered.

Yugi flinched at that memory. He tried to stop him self from crying, he swore he would never cry again. But it felt good to cry, four years of pain had been held up inside of him. He just let it all go, Yami held his light as he cried. "It was so awful." Yami stocked his hair. "I know. But it's over now, your back ware you belong."

What Yami said brought back another memory. One Yugi really wanted to for get. He tried to block it out but it was no use.

~~~Flash Back~~~

Yugi was woken up one night by a loud scream. He got out of bed to go see what it was. He walked down the hall till he came to Ruth's room. Was it her that was screaming? He opened the door. His eyes went wide at what he saw. Ruth was rapping Keith! Yugi couldn't move, he wanted to help his friend. But what if she beat him again? Yugi was still recovering from the last beating from the other day; he knew he wouldn't survive another one like that. Especially so soon. Yugi ran back to his room and sat on his bed. He covered his ears; he didn't want to hear it.

The next day Keith seemed really depressed. "Keith I…I saw what she did to you last night." Yugi whispered.

Keith looked at him wide eyed. "You saw? Don't let her know."

"I'm not stupid."

"I tried to stop her but she was drinking again last night. And I guess she wasn't in the mood to beat us up."

"I'm sorry. I wanted to help, really I did but…I was afraid she would beat me again and I knew if she did I wouldn't be able."

"I know…" they sat their, they were the only comfort each other had.

Two weeks latter Ruth's ex husband came by. "So this is the new kid?" He asked looking at Yugi. "Yes." She always talked to the boys like she hated this man but right now it seemed like they were old friends. "He is a cute one." The man took Yugi's face into his hand and turned it from left to right. Yugi swallowed hard. What did this man want with him?

"So have you been a good boy for my Ruth?" He asked Before Yugi could answer Ruth spoke up. "He has been a little knotty. But we fixed that didn't we?" Yugi nodded, he didn't want to be hit by her right now.

"Well I can make sure he never disobeys any one ever again." Ruth smiled; she seemed to know what he was going to do. "Be my guest. You know ware the guest room is." The man nodded and picked up Yugi and brought him to the guest room.

"W-what are you going to do?" Yugi asked as the man set him down then turned to lock the door. "Oh my, you are an innocent one aren't you?" He picked up Yugi and threw him onto the bed. He looked around the room and found a sheet on the floor; he picked it up and tied Yugi to the bed with it. Yugi's eyes widened as the man started to take off Yugi's cloths then his. Yugi shook his head.

/No, no this is not happening! YAMI!!!/ But Yugi wasn't wearing the puzzle and even if he was Yami was to far away to hear him.

Three hours later the man came out of the room and left Yugi they're on the bed alone. Keith went into the room with a bucket of cold water and a cloth. He didn't want Ruth to catch him so he locked the door and went over to Yugi who was still naked and shaking. There was blood on the white sheets and on Yugi's back.

"Oh Yugi." Keith applied the washcloth to Yugi's fore head and whipped away the sweat. That was when Yugi realized. "I want to go home."

"I know." Keith washed up Yugi and then went to get him a new pair of cloths. Ruth came in the room whale Keith was gone. She walked over to Yugi and bent over and whispered in his ear. "You are ware you belong. You can never go back." She smiled and kissed him on the cheek.

Yugi was shaking in Yami's arms. "What's wrong little one?" Yugi didn't answer.

//Yugi?//

/I'd rather not talk about it./

//Very well. You should get some sleep.// Yugi nodded and lied down on the bed. Yami was just about to go back to his sole room. "Don't go." He heard Yugi say. He nodded and sat back on down on the bed. He stayed there till Yugi was fast asleep.

Yugi woke up early the next morning. He almost screamed cues he forgot ware he was. Then he remembered he was going to see his friends today. He looked at the clock, 6:45. He figured they wouldn't come till later in the after noon. The nurse came in. "Oh you are awake. There is some one here to see you." He smiled. "Should I show him in?" Yugi nodded. He thought it might be his grandpa and he couldn't wait to see him. Yugi looked at the man that came in the door. He walked over to Yugi. The nurse had already left. Yugi couldn't find his voice. What was this man doing here? "Hello little Yugi. Haven't seen you in a long time." He said running a hand down Yugi's face then chest. "Didn't Ruth tell you, you could never go back? And I am here to make sure you don't." he smiled. Yugi remembered that smile; he had nightmares about that smile. "G-get away f-from m-me." Yugi stuttered. "I will for now. But I will see you latter." The man bent down and kissed Yugi before he left.

Yugi wiped his lips with the back of his hand. Yami, ware was Yami? He needed him. Yugi teleported to his sole room.

/Yami!/ Yugi couldn't move he was so scared of that man. He had come once a month just to see Yugi, and once a month Yugi would be raped by him. He only managed to get away once or twice.

"Yugi, what's wrong?" Yami knelt down in front of the crying boy. Yugi thru his arms around Yami and sobbed on his shoulder. Yami didn't know what happened but he knew that something up set his light.

When Yugi finally stopped crying, Yami set him back on his bed. "What happened aibou?"

"I can't go back, I can't go back." Yugi kept saying that fraise over and over. "Can't go back ware?"

"To Ruth and…"

"And who?"

"Jack." Yugi whimpered.
