Run away part 2

When they got on the plain Yugi and Keith fought over who got a window seat. "Ok How about I get it for the first half of the flight and you can have it for the second half." Keith said. "Ok." They sat down and waited for them to take off.

"Hey Yug, why did you decide to ware your puzzle all of a sudden?" Keith asked.

"I don't know. But when I put it on it felt like a peace of me that has been lost for some time is back."

"Ya what ever you say." Keith said trying to hit Yugi over the head. "Hey settle down you two, the plain is about to take off." Ruth said from the seat behind them. "Yes mom." The said at the same time. They switched seats half way thru the flit and after that they fell asleep.

"Hey wake up sleepy heads. Were here." Ruth said tapping them both on the head

Yugi and Keith got off the plain and got their stuff. Then they had to wait for Ruth. They walked to the hotel they were staying at, and on the way their Ruth had found the bar. She stopped there for about an hour whale Keith and Yugi waited. "Ok let's go." They could tell she was drunk, so all they wanted to do was get to the hotel and get the hell out of their. Cues every time she would get drunk she would beet up on either Yugi or Keith. Yugi didn't know why he staid after the first time it happened. Maybe because he couldn't leave Keith their alone and he refused to go. Yugi didn't know why, so he staid in hopes it would ease some of the presser on him it did.

They checked in and the two boys ran up to the room as fast as they could and thru their stuff on to the bed and tried to make it out again before she came up. They almost made it but Keith tripped on the rug. "Now you weren't trying to runaway now where you?" Ruth stumbled into the room and closed the door. She walked over and hit Keith across the face. "Leave him alone!" Yugi yelled. "You dare yell at me? After all I have done for you, when your friends didn't pay attention to you who did? Me!" She punched Yugi in the face and sent him crashing to the ground. She started kicking him till Yugi couldn't even move. Then she just passed out on the floor. Keith had been left out of this beating so he got up from ware he was sitting and watching his only best friend he had ever had get the shit beat out of him. "Yugi? I'm sorry I didn't help." Yugi looked up at him. "It's alright I know what you have been thru before I came, and that is why I never left." Keith Helped Yugi up and they left.

"Lets get you to the hospital." Yugi shook his head. "You know as well as I do that will be the first place she looks when she wakes up and finds us gone."

"Your aren't suggesting that we runaway? See ware that got us last time?"

"Yes, but we could always run back." Keith stopped. "I never thought of that." Yugi started looking around for a place for them to stay. This place looked familiar to Yugi. He looked across the street and that is when he saw it. His grandpas' game shop. A tear rolled down Yugi's cheek. "Yugi are you ok?' Keith asked. He nodded. Yugi suddenly felt like he couldn't stand any more and fell to his knees. "Yugi!" Yugi pointed to the game shop. "That's my home." He said. "You mean you live there?" Yugi nodded. "I wonder if Yami can still link with me?"

"Oh you mean your other half?" Yugi nodded. "Well you'll never know till you try."

"I don't know how he will react to me. Or my other friends, I left and didn't even leave a note. And I know that they didn't mean to ignore me." Yugi started crying. He looked at the shop. Then some one came out. That looked like. "Joey…" Yugi whispered. Then Mai came out fallowed by Tea, Serenity, Tristen, The Kaiba brothers, Ryou and then Bakura. They waited out side then. "Grandpa…" Yugi looked at him. "That's your grandpa?" Yugi could only nod. "Who's that? He looks kinda like you." Yugi looked at who just came out. "That's Yami." Suddenly Yugi was having trouble breathing. "Yugi. What's wrong." Keith asked. "I…can't…breath…" Yugi painted, then he collapsed. Out of reflex and habit he called Yami's name in his mind. But he was so used to him not coming cues he didn't have the puzzle on he wasn't expecting him to come this time. "Yugi get up! Pleas get up!" Keith shook him.

Joey was headed out the door. It had almost been four years sense they had seen Yugi. Every one was wondering how he was doing. Yami had been getting a strange feeling all day that something was wrong.

Every one was waiting out side for Yami and grandpa. They were going to go on a picnic. Mai and Joey had gotten married last year and she was pregnant with twins. Tristen and Serenity had gotten married about three months after and she was also pregnant. And would you believe it, Tea actually got married to Seto Kaiba, they had a three month old baby boy. Yami was the last one to come out. the others had gone ahead with out t Yami and Joey. They were just about to leave when Yami heard Yugi.

/YAMI!!!/ what that his imagination? Must have been. Joey and Yami turned around quick when they heard someone calling Yugi, They looked across the street to see someone collapsed on the sidewalk and another boy shaking him. "It could be some one elts named Yugi." Joey said. Yami nodded. It could be but he had a feeling it was their Yugi. "We should help him any ways." They ran across the street.

"What happened?" Joey asked. Keith gasped at the man standing in front of him. Yami knelt down to take a look at the boy on the sidewalk. His face was turned away from Yami and hidden by his hair. "Come on tell us what happened." Joey said again. Keith shook his head. "We were walking down the side walk when he saw some one he used to know. Then the next thing I knew he said he couldn't breath." Keith looked down at Yugi. Yami turned him over slowly and as gently as possible. Joey was the first to see the puzzle. "Yami, it's YUGI!" Yami looked Yugi's face. It had a burse on his cheek ware Ruth had hit him. "What happened to him" Yami asked. Keith looked away. "I can't tell you."

"Why you didn't see it?" Joey asked. "No I saw it. And I have felt it as well."

"Well any way Yami you take Yugi to the hospital and I will go catch up with every one and tell them."

"Wait Joey. I'll take him to the hospital yes. But don't tell any one. If Yugi wants us to know he is back then he will let us know in his own time." Joey only nodded. Yami picked up Yugi and brought him to the nearest hospital. Keith fallowed him.

"I will leave him here."

"Are you leaving him just like his friends did four years ago?"

"His friends didn't leave him."

"They might as well have." Keith was getting angry. "I'm sorry. I'm just worried about him. He has never been beaten this bad before."

"This isn't the first time?" Keith shook his head. "I would tell you but then she would kill me."

After fifteen minuets a nurse came out. "He is awake and doing better you may go see him now." Keith was the first one to go in. "I thought I said not to bring me to the hospital. She will look for us here." Yugi shuttered at the thought of what she would do to them when she found them. "I didn't bring you here."

"Who did?"

"Promise you won't be mad at me?" Yugi nodded. "It was your Yami." He said very soft. He closed his eye waiting to be hit. "I would never hit you. You can open your eyes." Keith looked at Yugi. "Well at least now I don't have to worry about him being shocked." Yugi said. "But we have to get out of here soon." Keith nodded.

//Do you think it would be alright if I came in aibou?// Yugi sat strait up in the bed.

/Yami, I missed you calling me that./

//And I missed you calling me your Yami.//

/Can you come in?/

//Coming.// A second later Yami was standing in the doorway. A tear rolled down Yugi's cheek. Yami came and stood on the other side of Yugi's bed. Yugi couldn't hold it in any more, he thru his arms around Yami. "I never want to let you go." Yugi whispered. Yami held Yugi close. //I never will let you go little one.// Yugi chuckled at that. Yami looked down at Yugi. "You can't really call me little one any more can you?" Yami looked at him. Yugi was almost as tall as him now. They really could pass off as twins. "No I guess not. But to me you will always be my little one." Every one heard a lady out in the hall, and Yugi stiffened, so didn't Keith. "What is going on out there?" Yami asked. Yugi and Keith knew. Keith had backed up in to the wall, and slid down to a sitting position with his knees up to his chest. Yugi held tighter onto Yami.

//Aibou, what is it?//

/It's her. Don't let her get me or Keith. She will kill us this time for sure./ Yami looked over at Keith who had started shaking.

"Their you two are. I have been looking every ware for you." Ruth walked over to Keith who tried to hide how scared he was of this woman. "And Yugi. What happened to you? Was it another bully?" she asked brushing a some hair out of his face. He still held on to Yami like his life depended on it. "Hello my name is Ruth. Are you the one who helped my two boys?" she asked. She still had a hand on Yugi's shoulder, she squeezed it tight thinking Yami had missed it. He would have if Yugi didn't tell him.

/Get her hand off of me. She's hurting me./ Yami grabbed her hand, and squeezed it. "How does it feel to have someone hurt you?" He asked. Her eyes widened. Then glared at Yugi then Keith. "Who told?" she hissed. She looked back at Yugi who was trying to get away from her. "I knew it was you!" She yelled. She went to smack Yugi but Yami grabbed her other hand as well. "No one hurts my aibou." By this time security had been called. They arrested her.

When she was gone Yugi let go of Yami. "Thank you Yami." He smiled.

Just then Joey came in. "Hey Yug."

Yugi just looked away. H felt guilty for running away. Joey walked over next to Yami.

//Yugi, do want to see Joey right now?//

/Yes./ Yugi looked back up at Joey. "Well I guess no one will beat up on you cues your short." He backed up a little and looked at Yami and Yugi. "Man you two can really pass off as twins now."

"I'm sorry that I ran away." Yugi said out of the blue. "It's ok Yug, it was partly are fault for not paying attention to you." Yugi smiled up at him.
