Disclaimer;

I do not own Yu-Gi-Oh, if I did Bakura and Ryou would be fucking each other senseless… and I’d be watching! As far as Bakura killing Malik... well you guys got to remember that Bakura isn't human... he's a spirit so he can kill people like Malik in a lot of cool ways... but not to worry... Marik isn't going to rest until his little sex slave is back among the living. Sorry for the LONG wait... I know it's not much... but at least it's an update. And no... I am not dead! It's this thing called 'Life'... which sucks ass big time.

Ryou gulped. He looked like a disaster. His white tresses of unruly spikes seemed to be more defiant than before. His jade green eyes finely displayed the excitement rushing through his lithe body. This was his prom... however, the terms in which he was attending were not what he had planned. At least he was still going with his original date.

He checked himself in the full length mirror one last time before leaving. The navy blue suit jacket and pants were a perfect fit.

The white shirt he wore under the jacket looked as if it were made for his body; it clung to all the right places. The final touch was the dark red tie.
He wondered if Bakura would like it. What if he didn't? What if he didn't really get over the little “secret” he let Bakura in on... the secret that Marik found out about while playing with his mind all those years ago.
Ryou was completely lost in thought, until the door bell rang. He rushed to the door, wondering who it could be. Ryou gasped as the door swung open. “What are you doing here?” Ryou asked coldly.
Standing there was Marik, who wore an icy expression on his face.
“We need to talk. Now.” The blonde haired yami snarled violently as Ryou let him in and closed the door. ~
“Ryou's late,” Bakura said in a worried tone. It wasn't like Ryou to be late. Bakura shifted his weight from foot to foot, getting very impatient. It wasn't long before he was pacing, getting strange looks from Ryou's fellow classmates, some of which had approached him under the impression he was the man in question. Bakura snarled to himself and looked at Anzu, who stood before him in a light pink strapless prom dress, her chestnut hair was pulled up in wildly messy bun while chocolate ringlets hung freely on her worried face.
“Why don't you try your mind link again?” she suggested softly, she to was worried for her friend. Bakura nodded and poked Ryou's mind cautiously; it was blocked. He cursed under his breath.
//Ryou?//
Still no answer. Bakura scowled. This was getting him nowhere. He turned, facing the direction of his house, and was about to start walking when someone tackled him from behind causing both of them to fall to hard cement. His first reaction was violence, that is, of course until he heard the familiar voice say his name.
“Baku-kun, I didn't think you were actually going to show up.”
“I'm disappointed,” Bakura said with a smirk, “that you had such little faith in me. Don't you know I never disappoint.”
Ryou released the thief from his hold and stood up. Bakura turned to face his hikari, and wiped the dirt from his jet black pants.
“Wow, Bakura, you look sexy,” Ryou said while checking out the man in front of him. Bakura had attempted to brush his wild locks of white hair, but obviously failed miserably, which were more spiky and wild than usual. Bakura was wearing a black suit with a navy blue dress shirt and a blood red tie, which made him look amazing, Bakura could easily pass as a CEO to a company with his new attire. “You should dress up more often.” he added softly.
“Fuck that!” was Bakura's only reply. “I-”
“Are you guys coming or not?” Anzu interrupted quickly, giving Bakura a glare which screamed shut-the-fuck-up-now. Ryou nodded and grabbed Bakura's hand, intertwining their fingers and led the spirit towards to door.
/You killed him... didn't you/ Ryou shot through the mind link, which caught Bakura off guard.
//How did you know?//
/Marik told me everything/
//Yes, yes I did, why do you ask? You know I'm a murderer//
/Just wondering/
//And?//
/Nothing/
//Sure, why don't I believe you?//
/Marik came to see me before I left, that's why I was late/
//What did he want? He didn't hurt you did he?//
/He would never hurt me, he knows more about me then you do... but that's besides the point. He was the only one who knew about my father, even you didn't know. He came to see me and he told me everything, and asked me to forgive him./
//He... knew?//
/Yes, and I did forgive him/
The conversation about Malik's death ended as the three of them entered the school gymnasium which, much to Ryou and
Anzu's shock, had been completely transformed. Balloons, streamers and confetti of all colours were every where the confetti sparkled under the faint glow of flashing red, green, yellow and blue lights. Large speakers adorned the end furthest from the large doors in which they had entered, the 'hip' music blasted and echoed throughout the gym. Hundreds of students, all of which were dressed up to look their best, filled the dance floor, some were dancing, some were talking, some stood alone, and others with their chosen partners for the evening and the rest sat on the bleachers that were on either side of the doors. It was obvious that some of the students were drunk, one of them being one of Bakura's 'friends', the one who had bullied Ryou relentlessly when he had first arrived that Domino High, that was until he met the Great Spirit of the Millennium Ring. The gymnasium lights were off and song changed to a slower one, the students coupled off and started dancing slowly. At the end closest to the doors was the food stand, which was littered with many different foods and a wide selection of drinks. Ryou sighed, even if Bakura did come tonight, he doubted that he would agree to actually dance with him.
Bakura on the other hand, felt like a deer in the headlights. He felt out of place, as if he didn't belong here. He glanced around the massive crowd of students, some he knew and others he didn't. He had a nagging feeling in the back of his mind, that he was going to do something he may regret later. Ryou tugged his hand, signaling for him to follow.
The three of them made their way through the crowd, Bakura was uncomfortable by the lustful stares he was getting and the whispers he heard.
Ryou brought his brother as his date, I always knew there was something weird about him.”
Is that Bakura-kun's brother?”
Who's the hottie with Ryou-kun.”
He shot all of them glares that immediately silenced everyone, and caused most of them to look away. He glanced at his hikari, who had also heard some of things being said about him. Bakura watched as Ryou bit his lip and blinked tears from his eyes.
“Are you okay hikari-baka?” he whispered in his lover's ear. He let go of the hand which held his to tightly and wrapped his arm around Ryou's body, pulling the boy to his side. His hand rested on Ryou's slender hip.
“Maybe I shouldn't have come here, it would have better to stay home.”
“Don't talk like that,” Bakura interjected. “You're starting to sound like me. Too negative.” Ryou looked at Bakura, who smirked. Ryou narrowed his eyes, the only time Bakura smirked like he did now, was when he had something purely nasty planned.
“What are up to?” Ryou asked accusingly, but before Bakura could answer, Yugi and his little gang of friends made their usual oh-so-holy grand entrance. The crowd's attention turned from Ryou and his lover to the 'King of Games' and his loyal followers.
“What makes you think I'm up to something,” Bakura answered innocently.
Anzu turned her attention from the white haired couple, who were currently whispering what was seemingly an interesting conversation to watch as her close minded, foolish friends entered. Yami and Yugi entered, followed by Honda and his respective date, then Joey, who lacked a date, mostly because Joey's lover was too high and mighty to be seen with the 'King of Games'. (A/N: I wonder who Jou's date is... *winks*)
“Bakura,” Anzu's voice interrupted, “I'm going to go talk to Yugi, but only for a minute.”
~*~
Yugi glared at Bakura, who was holding a visibly upset Ryou closely to his side. His mind jumped to the first conclusion.
//Yami, Ryou looks upset.//
/I noticed/
//It's because Bakura is here//
/Hikari... I doubt-/
/Look at Bakura, forcing Ryou to stand with him/
Yami had given up trying to convince his hikari that Ryou was in no danger, but the shorter boy would not hear it.
Everyone's eyes once again shot to the door when who entered but none other than Seto Kaiba. The Kaiba Corp CEO flocked to his boyfriend's side. Bakura made a face of disgust, watching the stupid mutt and the teenage millionaire greet each other with brief kiss.
Anzu walked to Joey and said something that Yugi missed, but Joey's answers was loud enough for everyone to hear.
“Because the spirit hurts him,” Joey replied, “or that's what he thinks anyways. Personally I don't care anymore. I'm happy and that's all I care about anymore. Yea I mean Ryou's my friend and all, but he doesn't seem like he needs help... or wants it.”
Bakura and Yugi's eyes locked, and the glaring match had begun. Bakura was first to break the eye contact, in which he leaned to Ryou and whispered something in his ear. Whatever it was Ryou found it funny and started to giggle, and held onto Bakura's arm a little tighter. But neither party expected what happened next...
