Scared Snow by Huntin Draik 2 (scared meaning scar!)

Part 1

Ryou's POV

I walked down the road, watching happy couples sip coffee and look at what they wanted for Christmas. Christmas didn't mean much to me because I have nothing to be happy about. I came out wandering because my homework was to write about what makes Christmas special for me. The one report I had dreaded writing. Most people are happy because of a mom or dad, I don't have either. Some are happy because of animals, never had a pet. And others are happy because of the ones they love most, that I do have. But I am the lover of someone who hates me more than his worst nightmare, I just wish he felt the same about me. He'd most likely kill me if he had told him this, oh well. I trudge along kicking cans, that is till there's a large stream of blood coming from an ally. Hmm, looks pretty interesting, might as well find the source. I follow the blood for about 2 minutes till I find a black beanie hat. "There." I whisper to myself. I bend down on my knees to pick up the hat, under it only a puddle of blood with some hairs in it. I look inside the hat, 2 large eyes are looking at me. "Miew." The little pair of eyes whimper. I put my hand in the hat and let the animal sniff my fingers. After about a minute the animal comes out and jumps on my head, sniffing my hair and purring. I put my hands up and picked it up, cupping my hands so I could see it. It had to be the most mutated dog I'd ever seen; it had 3 tails, large ears, short whiskers, tiny feet, a large mane of thick fur, smooth fur, and marking on its head and two large eyes. It was actually kind of cute. I noticed where the blood was coming from when it scratched the marking on its head, because it began to bleed like hell. "Hey! Don't do that!" I shout, as if understood what I was yelling. But it did stop scratching and jumped from my hands into the snow. "I didn't mean to yell," I felt weird talking to an animal like a human. "It's just…" I broke off. "You need to see a vet about that head of yours." The dog gave a little flirt of excitement when I put it on my shoulder.

Part 2

I walked around the streets; the dog snuggled in my hair. "You like my hair don't you little guy?" Which reminded me, I didn't even know its gender! I reached for the dog when I realized its head had stopped bleeding. "That's weird." I whispered. I looked at its face; its narrow pupils made it look more like a cat than a dog. I put it back on my shoulder, and continued to walk, a little faster when we passed the graveyard. I felt my shoulder lighten after I walked past it. "Dog?" I asked, it was gone. I looked behind me to see that it had stopped in front of the gate that lead in. "You want to go in there?" The dog nodded and went inside. Well now I know it can understand me. I headed for the gates. Once in I looked for the dog, it was near a tree were a single headstone lay. I walked over to it it read: Sea Hora, may her spirit still battle demons with her faithful helper Yoshiko, the little fox demon.

The dog pointed to Yoshiko, fox and demon, "Well no wonder you looked different. Yoshiko the female fox demon. You know answered all my questions about you just now?" That reminded me of my test. "I think I know what to write about now."

Part 3

I walked up the stairs as quiet as I could, Yoshiko under my arm. I wonder where Bakura is. I opened the door to my room and sighed with relief, Bakura hadn't seen Yoshiko. Till she started whining that is. "Got something to share with me runt?" God dam it! He was sitting on my bed, his arms behind his head. "No I don't Bakura. Could you leave me alone I have to do my homework." I put Yoshiko on the ground and she went under the bed, eyes now red and shiny like blood. "Where were you boy? You missed you lesson." "Looking for something to write about." I saw him get up. Cracking his knuckles.

"Write about this!" He punched me in the face, but I didn't fall down. "Playing tough ehh? Argh!" He kicked me full force in the ribs, that made me fall down. "You're pathetic!" He landed about 20 punches in my stomach and back before he was done, the he slapped me on the head and left the room. I climbed onto my bed and pulled my legs to my chest. I heard Yoshiko jump on the bed. "Miew?" She tried to get her head under my hand, being in battles with Sea she must have learned how to comfort unhappy people. "Good girl Yoshiko. When Bakura comes go under the bed. Okay?" "Miew." She seemed disappointed with my request. I got up and went to my desk and pulled out a piece of paper, I started writing my report. "Miew?" "Wahh!" I fell from my seat. "Yoshiko, what happened to you?" A large fluffy pink half-ring was coming from the shoulder blades of Yoshiko. "Miew?" She cocked her head in confusion. "Never mind." I stood up and touched the strange ring. "Gawh!" It was very hot. "Miew?!" Yoshiko licked my hand and the heat vanished. "Thanks." And I got back to work. About an hour later my stomach began to grumble. "Yoshiko hungry?" Her ears perked up. "Yes?" "Miew!" "Alright come on." I got up and opened my bedroom door. "Come." We went downstairs and I got some ice cream and gave a little to Yoshiko, she licked happily at it till the door bell rang. I opened the door and none other than Seto Kaiba was standing there, as cold faced as ever.

H.D So what did you think? I know I ended my other story pretty quick but at least I finished it.

Y.D You love making up characters don't you?

H.D ^-^

Clearly it had been Sea's helper. "So you're Yoshiko. A fox demon, boy was I ever wrong about you." "Miew." Was all she replied. "So you're a little girl demon, you sure know how to answer all my questions." That reminded me of my report/
