Yu-Gi-Oh! Fan Fiction ❯ Seto Kaiba's Perfect Match ❯ In The Act ( Chapter 10 )

Three hours later, the party had wound down, and Domino Square had once again settled into quiet. Joey and Mokuba had long since signed off for the night, leaving the giant TV screens as dark as the night sky. Tea and Tristan were busy packing up the food and drinks, most of which had disappeared during the course of the party, while Yugi was finishing sweeping the square of all the drink cups and stray napkins that had mysteriously gathered everywhere.
"Darn, some duelists sure make a big mess," he muttered to himself.
"Don't I know it," Tristan said, leaning against the platform in exhaustion. He wiped his brow and sighed.
"I wonder where our guests of honor headed?" Tea asked, noting that the stars of the dance floor were nowhere to be seen.
"Probably Kaiba's mansion for a little after-party," Tristan said dryly.
"Aw, don't be like that, Tristan," Tea said, giving his shoulder an affectionate squeeze. "If you think she's really what you want, wait your turn." Tristan shook off the gesture and turned away.
"Damn it."
"Damn what?" Yugi asked, coming up to Tea and Tristan, hauling the giant trash bag behind him----it was nearly as tall as he was.
"I thought you didn't cuss," Tristan said, eyeing Yugi with mock suspicion.
"I was just repeating what you said. Besides, I curse sometimes, just not much." The normally innocent look in the violet eyes gave way to a mischievous twinkle.
"Hmm, you're not as innocent as you seem, are you, Yugi?" Tristan asked with a raised eyebrow.
"Don't change the subject, Tristan," Yugi said. "I know that's what you're trying to do, and it won't work." He tied up the trash bag and leaned it against the platform, then walked over and looked up at Tristan.
"Are you still upset that Robin chose Kaiba over you?" Once again, Yugi's innocent honesty surprised Tristan.
"Uh---" Tristan looked away and shrugged. "Not really."
"Bullshit," Tea said suddenly, shocking both boys with her outburst. "He's been moping all night." She playfully pushed Tristan a little. "He was watching her like a freakin' hawk from up here. Not to mention glaring daggers at Kaiba."
"Aw, come on, I wasn't that bad," Tristan said, but looking a bit guilty as he said it. "Maybe I was looking at her. Is that a fucking crime or something?"
"No, it's not, and neither are your emotions towards her," Yugi said gently, "but she has made her decision. For reasons that maybe are obscure to us right now, she and Kaiba belong together."
"But I don't get it," Tristan suddenly blurted. "How could she like him when he's been such a jerk and he's so arrogant and proud that he won't even deign to let you help him sometimes? How could she like a man like that? She says she likes sweet guys----hell, I'm sweet, why not me?" His right hand, having been motionless before, now clenched into a tight fist.
"Tristan---" Tea said, a little note of pity in her voice. She reached out for him, but he shook off her touch yet again. Yugi reacted with a stunned look, and a familiar voice startled him, speaking within his head.
"Yugi, maybe I can talk some sense into him." It was the rich, resonant voice of Yami speaking in his mind. "He might do something rash if we don't get him under control."
"Knock yourself out," Yugi said mentally, adding a mental chuckle. "Hope you have better luck with him than we have." The Millennium Puzzle's mysterious, soft golden glow overtook the item and Yugi for a second, and then the noticeable presence of Yami was visible.
"Tristan." Yami came up beside Tristan, and put his left hand gently on the trembling shoulder. Surprisingly, Tristan didn't shake it off.
"Listen, Tristan, you are entitled to your emotions, but you must realize that she does love him, for her own reasons."
"Hmmph---well, what kind of reasons?" Tristan sounded both scornful and curious. Yami turned slightly to look at Tristan.
"Well, she sees something in Kaiba that we don't. She doesn't see him through normal perceptions, in a way." Yami paused. "She looks at him through the eyes of love, Tristan, and you of all people should know that when love blinds you, the object of your affections can do no wrong in your vision."
Yami again fell silent, and an inscrutable look passed over his face, as if he were trying to hide his emotions. "I, too, have had trouble understanding Robin's point of view. Loving Seto Kaiba? It seems unfathomable to me. But then again, I am his rival, and a heterosexual male at that, and obviously would not see him the same way as a young woman such as Robin would. You have the same problem----being unable to see Kaiba in a different light than we are used to seeing him in. We know Kaiba the duelist, and we also know a Kaiba who is sometimes arrogant---"
"Sometimes? Try all the fucking time," Tristan interjected, with a frown.
"---As I was saying," Yami continued patiently and gently, "we know a lot of things about Kaiba that cast him in quite an unflattering light. But tell me this, Tristan: don't you have negative traits of your own? Don't I? Doesn't everyone?"
Tristan's eyes seemed to swim in a glassy pool of his own thoughts, and then he nodded slightly. "Yeah---I--I guess."
"Then isn't it possible, since we all have negative sides, that there is a positive side in all of us which balances it?" Yami's tone was irresistibly persuasive.
"Uh---I suppose."
"And isn't it also possible to believe, under that same thread of logic, that Kaiba also has a positive side, and that this is what Robin sees instead of his negative side?"
The light bulb finally seemed to click on, and Tristan sighed. "I---guess you're right." His shoulders sagged a bit. "I just wanted to believe that---that he was all evil, I guess. It's hard to see him as anything else, ya know?"
"I know," Yami said. Then he added quietly, "I know all too well."
Tristan smiled a little, and that seemed to break the tension. "Oh well, I guess if she sees something good in Kaiba, maybe I can too." He shrugged. "What have I got to lose?"
"Your patience, probably," Tea said with a roll of her eyes. "Kaiba can be impossible to deal with sometimes."
"Who you telling?" Tristan said, starting to laugh. As Tea and Tristan both descended into hearty laughter, Yami moved away slightly, and turned so that the light from the Millennium Puzzle would be less noticeable.
"Thanks, Yami," Yugi said within his mind. "You seemed to get through to him."
"I couldn't have talked to him about it if I hadn't gone through the same problem myself," Yami replied mentally. "Like it or not, we're going to have to change our opinions and views of Kaiba. Especially if Robin stays in his life."
"I hope she does," Yugi said hopefully. "Then maybe we'll have some peace and quiet around here." Yami and hikari shared a laugh before Yami switched places with Yugi and he turned back to the group.

"Finally, we're here," Seto said, shutting the heavy door behind us.
"Yeah. Holy crap, that was a long walk," I said through a heavy sigh. After the party, we had headed back to Seto's mansion, which took a bit longer since we were both farther away and more tired from dancing for almost three hours.
"Do you want to sit down?" Seto asked, gesturing to the small living room.
"Sure," I said with relief, and proceeded to collapse on the couch the minute I was close enough to it to do so.
"Tired?" Seto asked with a grin as I looked up lazily from my facedown position on the couch. I mumbled an affirmative reply through the upholstery and he laughed.
"You know, you lying like that gives me such naughty ideas," he said, kneeling beside the couch and brushing my long brown hair back away from my face and neck.
"Do you like being touched here?" he asked gently, stroking with those sexy, long, thin fingers over the sensitive skin of my neck. I shuddered under his touch, and he smiled.
"I take that as a 'yes,'" he said with a laugh, and continued his slow torture of my flesh. After a few minutes of my short gasps of pleasure and my involuntary shuddering, I lifted my head a little.
"You better be careful, sexy man---you know what happened last time you started touching me like that."
"Yes, I know exactly what happened---I lost my virginity to a very beautiful and intelligent woman," he said simply.
"Aw, you gonna make me melt!" I said with a little squeal of delight as he touched a particularly sensitive spot on my neck.
"I hope I do just that," he said with a hint in his voice that I couldn't help but hear.
"You're a bad boy," I said, giggling. "You just might need a little spanking for that."
"Oh, I'm bad?" Seto couldn't help but wink. "Well, I learned from the best, didn't I?" His fingers left my neck and started a long, wayward journey down my body.

Tea, Tristan, and Yugi were getting ready to leave the square when someone called out to them.
"Yo! Wait up!"
They turned to see Joey and Mokuba running towards them.
"Hey!" Tea cried, waving to them. "Great job on the music tonight! It was awesome!"
"That's---great," Joey said, trying to breathe and talk at the same time. He put his hands on his knees and steadied himself, breathing deeply, before he began to speak again. "Man, I'm glad I caught up to you guys before you left the place. Did you come across my duel disc anywhere when you were cleanin' up?" He directed his question to everyone.
"I didn't----did you, Tristan?" Tea asked, looking over at Tristan.
"Nah, I didn't. You get anything, Yugi?"
"Sorry, I went over the whole square picking up trash, but I didn't see your duel disc."
"God! Holy shit," Joey said, pounding his right fist into his left hand, half angry with himself and half frustrated. "Fuck, where could I have put that thing? I thought I had it with me in the office buildin', but we scoured that place."
"We sure did," Mokuba said with a tired sigh. "I think we checked every room in each floor, like, five times."
"Are you sure you brought it in there with you?" Tea asked patiently.
"Well, I thought I did---" Joey rifled through the back of his golden-blond hair sheepishly. "I can't believe this! I'm such a----"
"No, you're not," Yugi said preemptively, patting Joey's arm. "We'll find it, don't you worry." He turned to Mokuba. "Did you guys go anywhere before going to the office building?"
"Uh---" Mokuba thought for a minute. "Wait! Joey, didn't we go back to my house to get some snacks?"
"Yeah! That's right!" Joey said, snapping his fingers in sudden remembrance. "I remember now, because I ate that whole bag of cheese balls and got that cheesy orange stuff all over me."
"That would be Joey, all right," Tristan said under his breath to Tea, nudging her with his elbow. Tea covered her mouth to keep her laughter from escaping.
"Come to think of it," Mokuba continued, "I think you set your duel disc down on the kitchen counter so you could wash all that crap off your hands. I bet that's where it is!"
"Great!" Joey cried. "Let's go!" The group of five took off down the street, headed towards the Kaiba mansion.

"Does this feel good?" Seto asked, teasing me again with a feathery touch along my sides. I was a little ticklish but very sensitive there as well, and any light touch Seto made seemed to set fire to my flesh and stoke my inner desire even further. He was sitting astride me now, his knees on either side of my hips, his strong hands working delightedly along the muscles of my back (now bare since I had taken off my shirt and bra), and his very hard erection pressing into the soft flesh of my butt.
"Mmm, sure does," I mumbled, unable to say more since my brain circuits were shorting out again.
"Good," he said huskily, and I felt his fingers drift further down, massaging my lower back close to the waistband of my jeans softly.
A sudden soft pounding, like footsteps, startled me, and I looked up abruptly. "What was that?"
"Sounded like----thunder, maybe?" Seto's voice was deep and soothing, and I found myself quickly slipping back into that dreamy world he had put me into. I couldn't even think much anymore, only could sense the fragile threads of pleasure pulsing through my flesh at each touch of his fingers, and how wonderful it all felt.

"Yeah! Here it is!" Joey held his duel disc aloft triumphantly for the others to see.
"Thanks for remembering where it was, Mokuba," Yugi said, nodding in acknowledgment.
"No problem," the dark-haired boy replied. His expression shifted suddenly to a look of confusion. "I wonder where Seto is?"
"Hmm, you'd think we would have run into him by now," Tristan said, stroking his chin in thought. "Unless he and Robin are already, ahem, taking care of business."
"Eww, shut up, Tristan!" Mokuba said, punching him in the arm.
"Oh, you want to get tough with me, huh?" Tristan grabbed Mokuba's arm, and both of them started trying to wrestle each other, not caring that one was almost twice the size of the other.
"You'll fight anybody, won't you, Tristan?" Tea cried over their racket.
"It's only 'cause he knows he can't fight me back," Joey said confidently, tossing his head a little and setting his duel disc down, leaning against the kitchen cabinet.
"Wanna bet?" Tristan's arm shot out from the fight and grabbed Joey by the sleeve, dragging him into the playful wrestling.
"Ow! Watch it, Tristan, that's my damn foot!" The three continued to wrestle each other, making fighting noises, and Tea and Yugi just stood off to the side, watching their friends make asses of themselves again.
"They're going crazy!" Tea said, laughing as she gestured to the fight.
"And dragging Mokuba into it, too----they're just a disgrace," Yugi said jokingly. "Oh well."
As the fighting noises hit a sudden lull, Tea suddenly heard two distinct voices, and she straightened up. "Hey! Shut up!" she called over the fight. All three fighters looked up, bewildered.
"What?"
"Hush, you guys! I hear something!" she hissed in a loud whisper.
"Well, I don't hear a damn----" Joey started to say.
"Shh!" Tea shushed him, and started creeping stealthily toward the doorway to the hall. The others silently followed her, peering out the door into the hallway.
"You hear it?" she whispered. Everyone listened carefully, and a distinctly feminine giggle resounded through the hallway, followed by a deep, masculine voice speaking softly.
"That's Seto's voice!" Mokuba whispered as he heard the deeper voice.
"It is?" Joey asked quietly. "Then that giggle's got to be----"
"Robin," the group said as one.
"You think Tristan was right?" Mokuba asked in a whisper. The group responded with a quiet "Shh--" before they started to move down the hall, towards the voices.
"Whatever they're doin', it sounds like they're in that very last room on the left up there," Joey said under his breath. "Which room is that?"
"That's the living room----it's just off the front hall." Mokuba gestured to clarify.
"Man, they couldn't even make it to the bedroom this time----ow!" Tristan muttered his expression of pain and rubbed his side as Tea glared at him.
"Why don't you hush, or I'll do it again," she warned him, and motioned for the group to follow her. They snuck alongside the wall, making sure their footsteps did not resound on the hardwood floor underneath them, and carefully made their way to the last door on the left. Tea, leading the group, looked in quickly, and quietly gasped.
"What is it?" Tristan asked.
"L---look for yourselves," she said, containing a giggle with her hand over her mouth. The group silently moved in front of the door and had a similar reaction.

All they could see from the door was Kaiba for a minute. Then they realized that he was actually sitting on top of Robin, and was massaging her naked back gently. The occasional contented murmurs, obviously feminine, indicated that Robin rather enjoyed Kaiba's attentions.
"Holy shit!" Joey said intensely under his breath. "Are they doin' it?"
"No, dumbass," Tristan said disgustedly. "If they were, they'd be making a whole lot more noise, with a whole lot less clothes on, and we'd be a whole lot more grossed out." Yugi suppressed a boyish snicker and blushed.
"Come to think of it, my brother does give good back massages," Mokuba whispered thoughtfully. "Sometimes he'd do it to help me go to sleep at night if I had nightmares."
"I don't think those two are planning to sleep anytime soon, if you catch my drift," Tristan whispered, gesturing to the pair on the couch. "Hell, they ain't even heard us yet, and we're, like, standing right here."

I closed my eyes. "Mmm---damn, that feels so good, Seto," I murmured softly. I could feel him growing even harder, still pressed against me, and I giggled. "And it seems like you're enjoying yourself as well. It might be a bit, ahem, hard to get yourself off me." I wriggled my hips slightly underneath him, and he groaned.
"God, don't do that too much or you'll make me----"
"I'll make you come over there?" I finished for him, my voice inflections making the sentence have a totally different and naughty meaning.
"Exactly," he said, and I felt him shift slightly, and press his whole body against me so that his lips were close to my ear. "Though I may not mind that happening."
"Hmm," I murmured. "Naughty boy."

"Ewww!" The sound of utter disgust jolted both of us out of our reverie, and out of the relaxed mood. Seto raised up off me and turned slightly to look behind us, where the sound came from.
"Oh, great. And how long have you been standing there?" He stood up and crossed his arms, looking as cold as ever.
I slowly got my lazy ass off the couch, picked up my shirt and pulled it on to cover my chest, and turned to look at who Seto was talking to. My eyes widened in shock.
"Holy shit, what are y'all doing here?" I asked the familiar group of five. I got the following reactions:

Yugi: A blush and look away
Tea: A suppressed giggle
Joey: A knowing smile and a thumbs-up
Tristan: Rolled eyes
Mokuba: Disgusted look (obviously, he was the one who had said "Ewww!")

All of them shuffled from foot to foot, obviously embarrassed at having been caught. 'Course, I was pretty embarrassed, too!
"Well---" Tea was brave enough to break the silence this time. "We actually came back to get Joey's duel disc, because he left it here, but then we heard you guys in here, and---um---" Her face turned pinker and pinker as she spoke, and she finally fell silent.
"Oh, so you decided to spy?" Seto looked absolutely furious, though I could only tell it through the look in his eyes. Boy, I've never seen blue eyes look so fired up and so icy cold at the same time.
"We didn't mean to, big brother," Mokuba piped up in a small voice. "But---umm----you couldn't really blame us for being interested, ya know?" His boyish charm seemed to melt the tension in the room a little, and I saw a little smile betray Seto's outward calm. I knew that he was still a little angry, but the smile made me feel a little better. I didn't want this to be a big confrontation or anything.
"We're sorry, Kaiba," Yugi said, finding his voice at last. "We didn't mean to make you upset. And Robin, I'm sorry about----disturbing things."
"It's all right with me. We weren't getting too dirty yet." I looked out of the corner of my eye at Seto and winked. He returned my gesture with a slight teasing smile.
"We're just glad that you and Robin are----ha ha----um, excuse me----" Joey started to speak, but his laughter kept him from finishing his sentence. He composed himself and continued. "We're just glad that you guys are---getting along so well!" He collapsed into a fit of laughter at the end of his sentence, and Tristan elbowed him to get him to shut up.
"Joey! Kill the laughing, man! Kaiba's still pissed!" Tristan gestured to Seto, and Joey's laughter quieted down to a few suppressed snickers.
"Well, I'm not exactly that angry anymore, Tristan," Seto said calmly, his eyes now less fiery and more normal. "I just don't like people watching me. It's quite disconcerting. Especially when I'm----" He looked over at me and smiled, this time a rare, genuine smile. "Well, when I'm otherwise occupied, to put it delicately."
"You mean makin' one hell of a porn video?" Joey burst out, this time unable to compose himself to speak further before going into another fit of laughter. The rest of the group shook their heads; Tristan rolled his eyes and shoved Joey playfully.
"Idiot."
"Hey, ya know, it was pretty hot there for a while, Tris," Joey said, wiping at his eyes----he had laughed so hard he had cried a little. Joey's comment earned another "Ewww!" from Mokuba, and a blush from everyone else.
"I'm glad you thought so," Seto replied, with a completely straight face. "I told you I do everything well, and didn't I also say I meant----everything?" He winked at me, and my giggle quickly turned into a naughty laugh.
"Well, you do me pretty well," I said, and the group groaned.
"Ew! Robin! That's my brother you're talking about!" Mokuba said, with a twist of his lips. "You're as bad as these idiots over here!" He jerked a thumb in Joey and Tristan's general direction.
"Hey! We're not that perverted!" Tristan replied indignantly.
"Yeah! We just happen to think about, ya know, stuff that most people don't," Joey added conversationally.
"And most of that stuff is X-rated and completely gross," Tea said with a roll of her eyes. She sighed. "Well, now that we've all made nice with each other and everyone's happy again, we'll just be going." She motioned to Joey and Tristan and Yugi. "We'll leave you to your----business," she said with a blush, and with that, the four of them turned and started to leave.

"Wait."
The single word startled all of us, and I looked over at Seto.
"You don't have to leave yet," he said, in that same gentle and sweet voice that I had heard earlier.
Tristan was the only one who looked suspicious; everyone else looked bewildered. "Are you shittin' me?"
"No, I'm not," Seto replied, just as evenly and calmly as he could. "I'd----I wouldn't mind you all staying, in fact." He gestured to the two couches. "Please, make yourselves comfortable."
