*********Yugi's POV*********

The day had started most uneventful. I mean..you know..normal for ME. I met Joey at school as usual..well..actually waited in the front till he got there almost ten seconds to the bell.

"Joey? Why're you so late every day?"

"Well Yug..I'm a growing boy ya know? I need my long sleeping hours"

I snorted trying not to laugh right at him. It was pretty funny. Even with all his weirdness, he was still my best friend..or at least one of them. We walked silently into the school building.

After a few classes, lunch came quickly. I sighed as I walked out onto the roof of the school for lunch. It was pretty today. The sky was clear and lit by the ever glowing sun. I smiled at the sun. I loved the warmth it gave to the world.

My mind was buzzing with thoughts about the past few years..about the duelist kingdom, and the hardest battle I'd ever faced. I promised myself I would never speak nor think of these things again..but it just came to me. While I dweled on those..I failed to hear someone walk out onto the roof with me. Thankfully it was Joey, and not some weird kid wanting my clothing..again.

"Hey Yug..whatcha doin'?"

"Oh hey Joey. Nothing really. Just looking at the sky."

"Where's your lunch? I'm starvin'"

"Don't tell me you forgot yours again?! Joey..thats the third time this week!"

"Sorry Yug... I forget in the mornings.."

"Well here, eat up."

Joey dug into my food after thanking me warmly. I always thought of my friends first..it was just natural. I sorta wished things could always be like this..Joey doing the stupid stuff. Tristen knocking him on the head..Tea just shaking her head.. but it was not like that. My eyes misted as I thought of Tea. She was killed..and I would never forgive myself..but something told me not to just be depressed about it.

I remember it clearly..That Dark God had attacked her in the Shadow Realm..and her soul was eaten by the Millennium Scales. A tear rolled down my cheek. I tried to hide my crying, but Joey always seemed to sense things. He looked up at me.

"Yugi? You alright?"

"Yea..." I wiped my nose and eyes. "Just thinking about Tea again"

"Yugi..Its okay man. She wouldn't want you to be upset over her..she told you herself."

"I guess you're right.."

I was about to turn around, when Joey's warm body embraced me. He laced his arms around mine in a friendly hug. I sighed contently, patting his hand on my arm.

"Thanks Joey, you always know how to cheer me up."

"You're welcome lil bro."

He let go much to my disappointment. We stood there for a while..completely forgetting about school. The day whizzed by. Soon the sun began to set..and we realized we had been there all day. Me and Joey jumped up and raced out of the building and towards my grandfather's shop.

"Hello Yugi.. you're a bit late. What happen?"

"Sorry, me and Joey were talking."

"Alright. In any case, I'm glad you're home. Would you mind watching the shop for a bit? I have to run some errands. Be back around 8:00. Bye!"

The time wsa about 6:30 when he left. I shrugged and headed behind the counter, laying my head on the display glass. Joey soon said his good byes as he left arounbd 7:00. Serenity was going to be home soon, and he needed to be there..so she could make him dinner. I chuckled to myself thinking, he eats way to much to be so skinny. I sighed again. No customers..this was sure slow.

"Yugi Moto?"

"Yes?"

I quickly raised my head to see someone enter. It was a woman, and a nice looking one at that. I was 14, going on 15..my birthday being in a month..so naturally..I stared and blushed. She had long wavy blonde hair, and the most beautiful aqua eyes. I nearly fainted when she looked at me and spoke.

"You're Yugi Moto? The famous dueler?"

"Well..hardly famous..but I am a dueler. Is there something I can help you with?"

"Yes..there is."

"Please, ask away."

"I want your soul."

I nearly fell down. My soul?! What?! My distress alerted my puzzle, and Yami Yugi took over my body. I embraced his magical touch, letting it trace my skin and transform me. She didn't seem surprised..but that was the least of my worries. I tensed and him take over my mind.

*****************Yami's POV*******************

Finally being released, I took over where my light left off. I looked towards the strange woman, my evil glint in my eye once again. I sensed dark magics radiating off her.

"So..I see you want to fight me for it. Well, thats just great. I can win no matter what."

"You will not."

"Yes I will! NOW GIVE ME YOUR SOUL!"

I twisted as she flung a bolt of purple lightning at me. My body lurched a bit, Yugi was worried too and tried to run the other way.

// Let me do this Aibou//

/Don't get hurt!/

//I will not my light.//

I took control again. In a swoop, I had leaped over the display case, and was now charging forward at the woman. She cackled and dodged my assualt. No matter. I quickly skidded against the slick tile and raced after her again. This time, I used my magic to trap her where she stood. She screamed and threw off the spell. I stood dumbfounded..how could she?

"How could I? Its simple. I am more advanced than you Yugi..or should I say Pharaoh?"

"How...How do you know that?! EXPLAIN!"

"Heh..glad to. I am Anzu..and I have come to take you out."

"That explains nothing"

"But that is all you need to know Pharaoh."

I raced at her in an anger. Suddenly, she grabbed me..well sort of. Her hand reached inside of my body, grabbing Yugi. She wrenched him from my body, the puzzle suddenly shattering into a million pieces. I gasped..and fell to the ground..

*******************Yugi's POV********************

At first I was just watching Yami from my soul room..but the next moment..I was being pulled from him. I screamed out, but nothing came from my throat except bile and blood. For what seemed like hours, I left my body on the floor, watching over myself as the woman ran out. Yami Bakura had sensed her magic and come to help. Suddenly, my friends were shaking my lifeless body..and I was pulled back roughly. I opened my eyes..Yami!

"Yami!"

I choked out and ran to him. Tristen was trying to revive him with no avail. I shook him. Please..don't die on me Yami..I need you here...

/Yami!/

//...//

/YAMI! Don't leave me!/

//...Aibou?....//

I heard the deep voice in my mind as it echoed throughout my soul room. I shook Yami harder. Finally..his eyes fluttered open. I looked into his ruby eyes, stroking a crimson lock.

"Yami.."

"Aibou? But...how?"

"Shh...we can ask later..you need rest.."

I hugged him to my chest, as he slowly lost conciousness again, sleeping like a child.

//Aibou?//

/Yes my Yami?/

//I don't know what happened here..but thank you.//

/I didn't do anything../

// You called me back..I could've been gone//

/It was nothing..now sleep/

I heard the normal pattern of breathing emitting from him..and knew all was well. I still held him, failing to notice Joey, Tristen , Mai, Ryou, and Serenity starring at me. Finally after a few minutes, I noticed and looked to them.

"Er..Yug? I think he's okay..but you might be hurt..you need to lie down too."

"I'm alright, lets just get Yami to bed."

Joey shrugged as I tried to help him up. Joey and Tristen would have none of it. They hauled Yami off into my bedroom. After seeing him taken away to rest..I smiled..and collapsed.

**********************Yami's POV************************

//Aibou?//

/.../

//Aibou?! Talk to me!//

/Huh? Here I am.. *yawn*/

//You're alright?//

/Of course..I'm right next to you../

I felt my hand to my side..yes..there he was. My aibou..my light. I smiled and nestled more into the covers. Why was I wearing PJ's now? Oh well. No matter, I was content. My light soon cuddled against me, his head resting on the dip of my shoulder. I welcomed him to me, wrapping my arms around him. I never thought this was possible. Of course I had exited the puzzle to see him..but only as a fadded spirit. I was now feeling his tender flesh against my own..for real. I beamed. I found myself new to my body once again. My lips were like an infant's learning how to talk. After getting a few words mouthed..I finally spoke.

"Aibou? Do I really want to ask..what happen?"

"I don't think you do Yami..I am still quite unsure..but for now..let us just sleep."

I agreed fully. I pressed myself against my little light, loving his body next to mine. It didn't take me long to notice that he was almost nude..just in boxers. I blushed terribly, thanking the Gods that it was dark. Trying not to wake him..I slowly slipped off my shirt.

/Yami? Something the matter?/

//No Aibou..its just somewhat hot-er...itchy..//

Good save. I didn't need him to think it was hot and move away. Our skin connected at the chest..I shivered even though I wasn't cold. His skin excited me. I nuzzled him closer to me, finally falling asleep with my little light angel next to me. Did I just think that? My light angel? Yes..I did. Oh well. Of course I loved my little Aibou, my lighter half. I loved him as a friend, and maybe more. In any case, those thoughts could wait till morning, right now sleep seemed the best thing in my life.

***********Normal POV**************

She walked through the streets silently, growling at every man who crossed her path. She hated men with a passion..since they were the cause of her downfall.

She straightened a lock of gold hair away from her almost black eyes. She had reached her destination. The Kaiba Mansion. Kaiba was home of course, and asleep no doubt. Not to worry, she would have what she wanted with him there or not.
