Chapter Two - Discovery

KittyKat: Allo allo once again my little friends! Welcome to another chapter of my infamous FanFic, SHADOW REALM! I was gonna call it Shadowed Dreams..but I forgot >>. Anyway!

YamiDominick - Er..right..

Yami - Um..is this where I turn..you know..?

Yugi - I hope so..^_^

KittyKat - It is..well sorta..this just starts the whole Yaoi-ish scenes.

Yami - Oh boy..

Yugi - Wonderful *grabs Yami for himself*

*************Yugi's POV*****************

I awoke the next morning to the sun peeking through my blinds. My head was killing me..what had happen yesturday? I looked to my side and nearly fell out of the bed. Yami's sleeping form laid next to me, nestled in the warm sheets.

/Yami?/

//*yawn* Yes Aibou? Something wrong..//

/No..you just scared me. I guess I thought yesturday was a dream./

//Well it wasn't...argh..//

He suddenly cringed and clutched his chest. I gasped and wrapped my arms around him.

"Yami?! Are you okay? Whats the matter?"

"Nothing my Aibou..Nothing..just a littled pain. I suppose from yesturday."

He chuckled lightly, and curled in my arms, laying his head in the valley of my shoulder. I smiled and stroked his dark crimson locks. He fell asleep once again...I watched him and smiled. He looked so peaceful sleeping there..it was completely different from when he battled. The stress marks usually on his face had vanished, even his evil look was gone. He just looked peaceful, and handsome. Handsome?! Why did I just think that? ..I must admit..he is handsome.

I shook my head slightly, and carefully laid his head against the soft pillows. He moved a bit, pulling the sheets against him. I noticed right away that he had no shirt..he did look nice without one. I blushed a bit at the thought, and slid myself out of the bed.

//Aibou?//

/Yes Yami?/

//Are you going to get up now?//

/Yes. I figure I should..its already 9:00./

//Alright then, I will too. I should get used to my body as quickly as possible.//

/Are you sure? I mean you did go through a lot yesturday-/

//I am sure my Aibou.//

With that, he awoke and pulled himself from the bed. How determined he was, in and out of battle. I helped him up a bit and ushered him over to the bathroom.

"You know Aibou..I have owned a body before. I think I can manage."

"But..I just want to make sure you are going to be alright."

"I will..do not worry about me."

He flashed me one of his famous smiles, which made me basicly melt. I shook my head once again, I had to snap out of this.

"If you need clothes..there are some-"

I stopped in mid sentence as he quickly disappeared, re-appearing again dressed in his normal chained blue vest, and blue mock-school uniform pants. He wore no coat today, as I guessed he knew it would be hot out. My eyes widdened.

"But how did you-"

"I still have access to my Soul Room of course, and you do as well. Now you can move freely to it."

I shrugged it off and got dressed.

************************************Yami's POV************************************

I awoke blissfully from my sleep, seeing my little Aibou startled and out of bed. I spoke to him slightly..then proceded to get dressed.

Seeing as I can now drift back and forth from my Soul Room, getting dressed was an easy task. I let my eyes linger on my light, who trying to avoid my eyes. I grasped his chin in my hand after he had finished getting dressed and finally got a good look in his eyes.

"Something wrong my light?"

"No Yami..."

"Then why are you avoiding my eyes?"

"No reason.."

I simply nodded, not wanting to probe at it. After some gazing, I could feel emotions radiating from him. Being his other half I could sense everything on him. Confusion, and other mixed feelings melted from him and covered my senses. I smiled at him, trying to comfort his confusion.

It didn't take me long to get lost in his eyes..the deep violet color..the color of a beautiful flower which grew in Egypt, just at the banks of the Nile. I knelt down towards him, not knowing whether what I was doing was right at all..but I was doing it anyway. My lips caught his in a light kiss..I couldn't believe it. My heart skipped a beat..I was kissing my little light angel.

He seemed to have anticipated my kiss, but didn't reject it. Our lips touched gently for a few moments, each moment ticking by like an hour of pure bliss..

*******************************Yugi's POV*********************************

I knew what he was going to do before he did it..but still..my body didn't stop him. I simply let our lips touch together. An electric wave flew through my body, jolts exciting me, even at the tips of my fingers, as I itched to grab him..any of him.

After those few lovely moments, we pulled apart. Stars still bloomed in front of my eyes as I saw his crimson eyes search my face for some kind of reaction. He must've found it..I noticed it myself. I was absolutely beaming.

//Aibou?//

/...Yami?/

// Are you going to say anything? At least let me know I didn't steal your voice from you.//

/Of course not Yami..its just../

Those few awkward seconds of silence soon faded as I heard Grandpa knocking on my door.

"Yugi! I think you have some explaining to do now that you are up!"

Yami and I sighed and walked outside of my room. My grandfather looked at us both, completely puzzled. We made it downstairs to the living room where he finally followed and stopped us.

"I want a total explination..now."

"Well..." I started " I suppose I should start at the beginning. A strange woman entered the shop yesturday evening. She knew my name and everything. At first.. I thought she was just another fan who wanted my clothing..but she wanted something else. She demanded my soul. Yami here then took over, but something weird happen afterward."

Yami grasped my shoulder as I stopped. I nodded to him, understanding at once what he wanted. He then took over and told the rest of the story.

"From what I can recall, this woman managed to reach inside of us and pull Yugi from his Soul Room. Upon doing this, we were seperated..and it seems the Millennium Puzzle was shattered. I for one, cannot detect its presence any more..but I am sure it is around here somewhere. It wasn't destroyed..if it was..I would be gone...but.."

My grandfather put up his hand motioning for Yami to stop.

"Okay..that explains him being here, but what is the story behind this extremely large red stain here?"

"Oh that. Well , from what Joey said..when I was pulled out, I threw up.. I suppose it was blood. I feel pretty okay.. so it must've been nervous blood or something."

Grandpa thought for a moment, trying to figure out a few things. I tensed, but Yami placed a comforting hand upon my shoulder.

"Well Yugi, I suppose your Yami will just have to be staying with us..but I must know something."

"Yes?" My Yami asked him.

"How are you still here? Even if the puzzle wasn't destroyed, it was broken, so you should be dead anyway. I hate to be blunt, but if that puzzle isn't put together soon, you will become a spirit once again."

I gasped and held onto Yami. He was going to die?! Why?! We had just been able to get to know each other..we had just shared a kiss..why was he going to die? I tried to fight them..but tears formed in my eyes and ran down my cheeks.

"But..there must be something! He can't die!"

"Calm down Yugi..he won't. Not unless you can get that puzzle fixed once again."

"How do we know where to find it?"

"Yami should be able to."

Yami turned his head once again to Grandpa.

"I should? How?"

"You are one with the puzzle..with enough thought, you will be able to find it. Now, I hate to leave so quickly, but there are some things I must take care of..and I will try to get more information on this."

Yami just shook his head as I clung to him. I nodded to Grandpa, watching him exit the shop. I failed to notice the still-steady stream of tears running down my face.

"Aibou..please..stop crying. I'm sure you can get that puzzle put together again."

"I will..no matter what. I will not let you die."

Yami smiled and drew his arms around be, holding me close to him. This was to much for me. I wouldn't suffer another close friend's death..not after Tea.

We both jumped when we heard the phone ring from the other room. I ran to answer it. It was Joey.

"Hey Yug? How you and Yami doin'?"

"We're okay" I sniffled. "Thanks for checking up on us. There is something I should tell you though.."

I proceded to tell Joey the entire ordeal. He didn't answer me for a while, just silently thought.

"Joey?"

"Yugi..no matter what. I'll help you. We won't let Yami die."

"Thanks Joey, that means a lot to me."

"No problem lil bro. You know me and Tristen..even Ryou are behind you."

I felt like I was going to cry again. My wasn't I being the big crybaby today.

// You aren't..//

/Glad you think so Yami./

He laughed at my weird remark. I talked a bit with joey, then hung up the phone.

"He is going to be here in a lil while. He phoned Ryou and Tristen so they could meet us here."

"I bet Bakura is going to be quite mad. I have my own body he has yet to get one. Ryou doesn't even let him take over his all the time like you do."

"Well, You aren't as evil or sick thinking as Bakura."

I made him laugh again.

*******************************Normal POV*****************************

The woman still slinked by the Kaiba Mansion, as she had done the night before. Sun glasses shielded her shocking Aqua eyes from view as she looked up at the mansion.

She hadn't expected the famous Seto Kaiba to come flying out the front door, so when he did, she nearly fell backwards. He didn't seem to notice her, he was in a rush to get to his limo which had pulled up at the gate. After getting inside, the driver took off, headed in the dirrection of the small child Yugi's shop.

She smiled slightly..what would he be doing going towards there? Weren't he and that Yugi enemies? She couldn't miss a mystery like this, so she followed silently, melting into the shadows around every corner.

It didn't take long for Seto to reach the shop and procede to get out. She merely watched him through the window as he entered the shop. Both Yugi's were there, both stunned to see Seto there. She positioned her ear against the window, straining to hear it.. She managed to get a few pieces of conversation.

"Seto Kaiba? What are you doing here?"

Mumble mumble.

"-and I had heard that the puzzle had been shattered..are you two alright?"

She finally drew her eyes back through the window. What was this? Seto was blushing? So was the older, more mature looking Yugi. This was quite interesting..interesting indeed.. she chuckled to herself.

Yami - "gulp* Nu uh..I am..er..her's?

KittyKat - No..you are his. And Seto's soon.. *puts hands over mouth* Damnit! Did I just give out part of my story?

Yami - Serves you right.

YamiDominick - *shmacks Yami* You shuddap now. You have no right to talk to my light that way.

Yami - Oww..;-;

Yugi- Now you deserved that Yami. Come here and give your light a kiss.

Yami - I suppose I should just accept it..

KittyKat - You should! BYE TILL NEXT TIME! Ja ne
