Yu-Gi-Oh! Fan Fiction ❯ Tainted Angel ❯ Chapter 3
A/N: Ok, I forgot we were in Japan for a moment, so the updates on the last chapter just make the Japanese culture seen. ^^; I'm so happy that I'm getting this far! Ok, in order to save Kirei the time of getting any angrier with me, I'll be putting her past in this chappie! ^^
I've decided not to make the rating higher. I'll only warn you of suggested rape. Nothing happens, ok?
Don't, never have, and never will own YuGiOh.
Ok, do I even have to remind you about there not being yamis/hikaris anymore?

*~*~*~*~*~*= scene change
Ok, sorry about this chapter in advance; it's basically little tidbits within the span of a few days.
Now the 3rd chapter!
Tainted Angel
Ryou walked onto the balcony while still holding Rikoh. He sat down on the cushioned bench and allowed Rikoh's head to use his lap for pillow. He stared at her closed eyes as he ran his fingers through her hair. Ryou then glanced down and realized the bottom of Rikoh's dress had gone dangerously high. He immediately went 10 shades of red and pulled it down for her. He continued stroking her hair and soon fell asleep himself.
*~*~*~*~*~*
Ryou opened his eyes and realized that it was still early in the night.
"6:23…" Ryou said aloud to himself as he read his watch.
He looked down and saw Rikoh was still asleep, but she had shifted. He blushed deeply and pulled down the bottom of her dress again. He decided that it would be best to put Rikoh on the couch to sleep better.
/But I love her company… I almost don't want to let her go…/
Despite his thoughts, Ryou carried Rikoh over to the couch and pulled the blanket on top of her.
/Will she be uncomfortable like that? Shouldn't she be in the pajamas she bought?/
Ryou's cheeks turned pink as a thought flew into his head. (ok, it's nothing hentai considering I'm not that type of person) He shook it from his head and prepared himself a dinner.
*~*~*~*~*~*
Rikoh awoke to see the sun was already up and it was pretty bright. She sat up and noticed she was still in her dress from the day before. At that moment, Ryou walked out of the bathroom in his towel. He noticed Rikoh had gotten up and went bright red from his lack of clothing. Rikoh blushed as well and turned her head the other way. Ryou ran back to his room and tripped on the way.
"G-Gomen, Rikoh-chan!" Ryou called from his room.
"It's fine," Rikoh said back.
*~*~*~*~*~*
Rikoh walked over to Ryou sitting on the couch, dressed in one of the outfits similar to her old one.
"Your clothes are in the wash," Ryou said as she sat down.
Rikoh just nodded back.
"What was the deal with you yesterday and the white pajamas you got? You looked like you were in a trance."
"Oh… Well, that was the same exact outfit I wore when I was a real angel in heaven… It brought back too many memories from a better time… Before he came along…"
"Please… could you go on this time?" Ryou asked anxiously.
"…I've only known you for three days before this one. I'm sorry, but I'm still not comfortable. Maybe in a while…" She replied and walked out to sit on the balcony.
/I know this subject isn't a good one to bring up… The way she shifts and avoids it… But I want to know so much more about her./
Rikoh sat on the seat cushion and stared out into the quickly approaching black clouds. Around 10 minutes later, the rain began to fall. Ryou came out with an umbrella and sat down next to Rikoh.
"Would you like to share?" he offered.
"No, I like the rain. It's one of the elements and even if I'm no longer a real angel, I should respect its power. By sheltering myself from it I show that I dislike it." Rikoh said, staring out into nothingness.
"Oh…" Ryou said, lowering his umbrella and closing it.
/If she has to respect water, then I will too./
The two sat out in the rain until it stopped, which was 3 hours later. Ryou had fallen asleep, but Rikoh was wide-awake. She carried him inside, both soaking wet. After much searching, she found three towels. She laid one on the couch, wrapped Ryou in another, and put the last on her own shoulders. Rikoh sat across from him after laying him down on the towel.
*~*~*~*~*~*
"Finally awake?" Rikoh asked as Ryou sat up sleepily.
"I can't get used to doing this… I have to go back to school in 2 days," Ryou said as the towel slid down to meet the other behind him.
"Why aren't you going to school now?"
"It's Spring Break. This is the first year it's been cold during this vacation."
"I could talk to Ice for you."
"Huh?" Ryou perked his head up.
"The element. I could ask it to refrain from cooling down Wind's breezes," Rikoh answered.
"Y-You can do that?"
"Mhm. I just have to call Ice's spirit."
Rikoh walked outside to the balcony and closed her eyes. Soon after, a light-blue stream of light started to circle around her. After it disappeared, she opened her eyes.
"Ice agreed. It said it was getting late in the season and this air temperature was a bit harsh on Earth," Rikoh said as if what she had done was nothing.
Ryou just stared in awe at the sight that had been previously there. Rikoh walked over to the bench and breathed in the warm spring air. Ryou felt the air temperature rise much more than normal and smiled.
*~*~*~*~*~*
Rikoh began to sway as she walked into the living room, followed by Ryou. He steadied her by letting her lean backwards against him.
"Is everything ok?" he asked, worried.
"Yeah, I've just been tired lately with the lack of sun. I haven't gotten enough time to really taken in a substantial amount," Rikoh replied, looking up at him with half-lidded eyes.
"Then you should get some rest."
Ryou lead Rikoh over to the couch and cleaned of the nearly dry towels. He then let her lay down before he walked off to find something to occupy his mind until dinnertime.
*~*~*~*~*~*
The former angel lifted her head to a dimly lighted room. She walked over to the sliding glass door that lead onto the balcony to see the sun was just rising. She pushed it open and took in the fresh rays of sunlight.
/First time in two days that I've seen the sun…/
"Watching the sun rise?" Ryou asked from behind her.
"Ah! Oh, Ryou-san, I didn't know you got up this early," Rikoh shouted.
"I have to get up an hour earlier for school tomorrow… Would you want to do something special today since I also go back to work tomorrow?"
"Only if you'd like to. How much or your day is taken up by school and work?"
"12 hours. Seven at school and five at work. Will you be ok alone for that long?"
"Of course! Will I be allowed to explore the city?"
"Just make sure to lock the apartment on the way out. We wouldn't want anyone breaking in, would we?"
Rikoh shook her head rapidly, then giggled.
*~*~*~*~*~*
Ryou had decided on taking Rikoh to the local amusement park. Ryou had just walked out from eating breakfast when he noticed the sad look in Rikoh's eyes. He walked over to her and sat down next to her.
"Everything ok?" he asked.
"Yes… I was just… remembering something from my past…" she replied without looking at him.
"What was it?"
"…The event that made me lose m innocence."
"Have you known me long enough now to tell?"
"I guess…"
She went into explaining what happened and what had lead up to it while the events flashed through her head as though they had happened the day before.
*flashback*
(Rikoh's POV)
I sat on one of the marble benches, reading a book I had just recently borrowed from my old teacher. I noticed that a few of the dark angels had ventured into the angel's territory and were nearing me. I tried to ignore them, but soon enough, they landed right in front of me.
"What are you reading?" the one that looked like the head of the group asked and pulled the book out of my hands.
" `Perfecting Your Elemental Skills'? You haven't gotten out of school yet?"
He tossed the book back at me, making me lose my page.
"I got out of school a long time ago, I just wanted to brush up on my angel powers," I replied quietly.
"You know, you're kinda cute. Maybe you'd like to hang out with us. My name's Bakura."
"I'm fine here, thank you."
Bakura frowned at me as I opened my book again and started looking for the part where I had left off. He pulled it out of my hands again and handed it to one of the dark angels behind him.
"What is your goal in life? To serve Ra every waking moment?" he laughed, as did the others.
"No, it's to find an angel that I like and likes me back."
"Fine then. Believe me when I say that it might not take long for that to happen," Bakura said as he flew off with his friends behind him. The one that had been holding the book dropped it on the ground as soon as he had took off.
*two weeks later (in the flashback)*
(3rd person POV)
Rikoh sat down on one of the benches on a near by plaza. She was on her way back from a distant friend's house and needed to take a breather. She closed her eyes as she tried to catch her breath. Bakura quietly flew up behind her with a folded cloth hidden in his hand. Rikoh did not notice the new presence, so he decided to make it known.
"I told you it would not take long," Bakura said.
Just as she was about to turn around to see who the person who had spoken was, he put the hand with the cloth over her mouth. Rikoh almost was immediately knocked out. Bakura chuckled to himself as he picked her up and flew off.
*~*~*~*~*~*
Rikoh awoke and looked at her surroundings. She had never seen such a dark and creepy room before. Just then, she noticed that she was lying on a bed with her hands tied above her head. She struggled to break the bindings, but it was to no avail. An evil laugh resounded off the walls as a figure stepped out of the shadows.
"Finally awake, are you?" Bakura smirked.
"Why did you take me here?" Rikoh asked, scared of what was to come.
"There comes a time in everyone's life where they must give up the person they were to become what they've always wanted to be. You said your life's goal was to find an angel who liked you. I'm a type of angel and I like you."
"What do you mean by this?"
"I am going to force you to like me back!"
Bakura smiled deviously as he walked closer and closer to Rikoh, knife in hand. Her eyes widened in terror as she figured out what else was to come.
*end flashback*
"That night he had given me scars all over my body and… and he raped me. That's what he meant about giving up the person I was," Rikoh continued the story, occasionally wiping tears from her eyes.
"That's why you were so scared of me, wasn't it? I can't believe there's a dark angel that looks just like me. But wait, isn't he still in Heaven?" Ryou asked, confusing himself.
"Dark angels are allowed to wander between Earth and their realm in Heaven. He followed me here after I was banished and kept on chasing me. That's why there are so many scars on my arm."
"Oh wow… Do you think he knows that you're staying here?"
"He shouldn't unless he spied on us when we were walking to the apartment… Ryou-san, if you see him, please stay away from him! He'll only give you trouble!" Rikoh's eyes were filled with tears once again.
"I promise I will," Ryou reassured her with a smile.
Rikoh smiled back at him and leaned onto his chest. He put an arm around her and they sat like that for what seemed like forever.
*~*~*~*~*~*
"Oh wow! I've never seen a place like this!" Rikoh exclaimed as they walked up to the gates.
Ryou giggled and paid for the wristbands. Rikoh wanted to go on every ride they saw, except for the Haunted House.
"This `Hurricane' looks like fun!"
Rikoh pointed to the largest roller coaster in the park. Ryou looked up at it and his stomach did a flip.
"Um… You can go on. I'm not too crazy about roller coasters."
"Ok, but you're going to miss a lot of fun!" Rikoh skipped happily over to the line.
*~*~*~*~*~*
Rikoh walked over to one of the game stands.
"What is this?" she asked.
"Oh, you give the person money and then you shoot water into that hole. If your bar reaches the top first you win a prize," Ryou explained.
"It looks like so much fun! Could I try it?"
"Sure."
Ryou searched his pockets for the right amount and handed it to the worker. Two other people joined in and the race began. Rikoh's aim was just about perfect and she ended up winning.
"It's so soft!"
Rikoh hugged the heart-shaped pillow as they walked over to the next ride. Ryou giggled and felt the pillow.
"Oh wow, it is!" he exclaimed.
*~*~*~*~*~*
Atop one of the apartment buildings, a figure stood, waiting for something. It's black feather wings were folded onto his back, as to not bring attention to itself. It smirked.
"I know where you are, foolish girl. You can run away from me all you want, but I'll always find you."

Sorry for the long delay! I hope you liked it. Thank you to Kirei, my only consistent reviewer. ^^;; Hey, I actually didn't use any Japanese in this chappie. Wow! Ok, I'm begging you all to please review! Please?
