Chapter 5: A Bloody Death; A Heart So Cold

The Pharaoh opened his eyes. The sun was so bright. He brought his arm to his face to block out some of the sun. He sat up and adjusted his eyes. He was in a strange room. Looked Egyptian. A knock on the door startled him. A young servant girl came in and put clean clothes on the foot of his bed. A girl that looked almost identical to Tea. She did not look nor even glance at the Pharaoh. She gave a small bow then walked off without a word. Yami wandered around the building, uncertain of his surroundings. He came upon a throne as an older man gestured for Yami to sit down. One of his servants threw himself on his knees and looked up at the Pharaoh.
“My Pharaoh, please forgive me. It is Princess Minka, she is ill and may be dying!” Yami's eyes widened as he tore himself away from his throne and ran through the hallways. Fate guided him to a small and dark room. It was a closed in room with no windows. The air was dusty and humid. Candles were the only source of light. There on the only furniture, laid the Princess. Yami stood beside the table and studied Minka as a tear formed in his eyes. He cradled her into his arms. A shadow casted upon the wall as a voice spoke.
“I have the power to save her.” The old servant man and Yami looked toward the door. There stood a young man, his face hidden by a hood on his gown. He held out a staff.
“Pharaoh Atemu, this man is a well known Priest, one of the best. I've heard nothing bad from his spells.” The servant stated. The man stepped up to the table. He laid the staff on top of Minka and held it. He closed his eyes and muttered a few words. The flames from the candles flickered. The young man quickly opened his eyes and turned sharply to the Pharaoh.
“This Princess has a spell casted upon her. Someone at this very moment is trying to consume her soul.” Yami looked around the room. He told the servant to give out orders to catch anyone around the palace who looked suspicious. The Priest thrusted his staff around the Princess.
“By the power of Ra, I break the Princess from the spell which binds her. Show me the demon who casts this spell and bring him forth.”

The flames of the candles became bigger like fire. Shadows of demons went around the room. A shrill scream broke the silence. Everyone rushed out as a crazed man slammed the young servant girl, from earlier, into the wall.
“It's the King of Thieves!” cried a few soldiers. The thief dragged the servant girl by the hair toward the others. He had a millennium item around his neck. The millennium Ring, Yami noticed. With some sort of barrier, the thief managed to get by Yami and the soldiers and went into the small room where Princess Minka laid.
“Thanks to the Priest, my spell has been broken. Now I will have to take your soul another way my dear Minka.” The thief chucked the servant girl away as he held up a sword. Minka's eyes shot open and with quick reflexes, she dropped to the floor as the thief hit the stone with his sword, barely missing the Princess. Minka backed up to the wall. Yami tried to get through the door but a barrier kept him out. The thief looked toward the door and smirked. Such fools they all are. I will take what should belong to me and I will take great pleasure in making the Pharaoh hurt. He laughed and ran straight toward Minka. She cried out as she put her hand in front of her. “Asha mishingu paka twamina!” Minka chanted. The thief stopped running and looked at his sword. It started bending toward his heart. No, this sword is going to kill me. I will not go down without a soul to come with me to hell! The thief looked around. He saw the servant girl. The smiled as he knew what to do. He tossed the sword straight for her. The spell broke and the sword bended back to its original state. The girl cried, but only for a second as the sword went right into her neck pinning her to the wall. The thief laughed as he grabbed hold of the sword and brought is down, cutting the corpse's body in half. Blood went everywhere. Minka closed her eyes and screamed at the horrid sight. Yami yelled out and smashed through the barrier. He wrapped his arms around Minka. The thief laughed even more. The Priest ran toward the thief. He smashed his staff at the back of the thief's neck. The thief gasped but quickly recovered.
”Don't think that this is the end of it, Pharaoh! I always get what I want.” The thief smirked as he spat at the Pharaoh. The soldier's rushed in to kill the thief. The thief laughed as he cried, “Too late!” In a matter of moment, dust filled the room and the thief disappeared.
