Yu-Gi-Oh! Fan Fiction ❯ The Marauder's Touch ❯ Prologue ( Prologue )

Disclaimer: I do not own Yu-Gi-Oh!, even though I wish I did.

Author's Note: I'm back and I decided to bring back Marauder's Touch. Unfortunately, Sapphire Eyes won't be coming returning as well. Never again will I try to write a romance fic! It was fun at first but it got boring too fast, so you'll never see that failed attempt again. As for Marauder's Touch, I don't know what I was thinking taking it off, but it's back with a revised story and a character name change.

The Marauder's Touch

Prologue

"Where is the girl?" High Priest Set questioned the Pharaoh's guards as he sat on his throne. Next to him on a gilded one as he sat in the shadows was the Pharaoh. They both looked on with great anxiousness.

"We have her here," the captain said. "She will soon be killed, your majesties." He turned around to one of his commanding officers behind him. "Bring the prisoner at once!"

The officer obeyed and went.

In only a few moments, he, ten other soldiers, and two carrying swords, came in holding onto the prisoner. She was a girl-- very young, at least in her late teens-- with long, black hair and brilliant green eyes. She was a small and petite young woman with tan, brown skin the color of the silt on the Nile's banks. She stood before them all nearly naked, trying to conceal her breasts by crossing her thin arms. All she had on was a seamless undergarment to hide her extremities. In another circumstance, the girl would have been considered beautiful, but unfortunately for her, that was not the case presented today. As the men carted her in front of both the High Priest Set and the Pharaoh, her expression was both frightened and mortified of course, for she had a date with impending doom. She tried her best to release from the guards grasp, but to no avail they easily overpowered her. They then threw her down onto the ground below the Pharaoh's throne. Priest Set arose from his seat, and in turn, began to speak.

"Ororro Yazik," he then said in a deep and dangerous tone. He looked straight at Ororro with bitter resentment. Her head was lowered towards the ground on which she fell on. "You are charged with thievery from numerous appointed officials, including myself and his majesty, the Pharaoh, murder on nine accounts, plotting against the Pharaoh, and above all, treason!" He then squinted his eyes in anger at the girl. "The punishment is death. Have you any last words to speak before we execute you?"

Ororro then gazed up at him, her eyes showing no remorse, and then at the pharaoh sitting in the darkness, unmoved by what he saw.

"Why... Why have you betrayed me?" Ororro said, tears running down her cheeks. "WHY HAVE YOU BETRAYED ME?!!"

The Pharaoh did not reply.

The two men who brandished the swords walked behind Ororro and came at a different side-- one at her left, the other at the right. The one on the left began to balance his on the back of her neck perilously, awaiting the word from either the Pharaoh or the High Priest to strike. While the Pharaoh stayed upon his throne, Priest Set spoke again instead.

"May Ra and Anubis have mercy on your soul!" he said, unnerved. "Now!"

As soon this was uttered, the officer pulled back his sword, and in one sweep, took of Ororro's head from off her shoulders.
