The New Girl

Sakura: How was my last chapter?

Seto: Horrible.

Sakura: Shut up!

Seto: Why should I?

Sakura: Cause. I'll call all the Seto fan girls and have them chase you all over.

Seto: You wouldn't? Would you?

Sakura: Try me. "Glares at him"

Seto: I'll shut up!

Sakura: That's what I thought! Start this fic!

Chapter 10 - Intament Moment

Seto's P.O.V

Dinner went smoothly except for the waiter occasionaly slipping in language. I stared at Sakura all night.

After dinner Sakura was very cheerful. We stopped by the side of the road and settled on a beach. Yugi and Kari went off some where to look for shells or something like that.

"Thanks for the great dinner," Sakura looked at me and smiled with sparkling emrald green eyes. I couldn't help but stare at them. They were so beautiful when they looked at me. The moon didn't even outshine the sparkle in them. She was easily pleased with small tokens of affection.

"Your welcome. It was my pleasure." I told her. She seemed satisified with the answer and looked at the moon.

"Seto...thanks for being my friend. I didn't have many when I lived in Osaka. I pretended that they were great friends. But they wern't, well I had one. She was my best friend. When I met you, Yugi and the others. It was like I was leaving not a home behind, but just another place that I lived. This truly feels like home. Anyway, I'm glad I'm here." Sakura smiled as she told me. "Why do you despise Yugi and the others so much? What happened to you when you were young?" She asked a question I didn't like to answer.

"It's a little personal. It will spoil the moment if I tell you. I don't want to ruin the beauty. All I can say is you brought something out of me," I said to her, "Something I thought would never come out."

"What is it?" Curiousity fill her eyes.

"Love." I replied simply.

"Love..." she looked down, sadness filled those emrald eyes, "You know I can't. Not right now. I have to deal with Aroga before I get into anything serious. You know that. Please don't think badly of me?" her eyes were pleading for an answer.

I won't. I thought. "I can wait. You don't have to worry." I pulled her closer to me and cupped my hand on her chin.

"You'd wait for me. No one has ever waited for me. No one. You really would?" she asked with a smile. I simply nodded my head and pulled her in close for a kiss.

That's when the voice we both regonized said, "HA HA! Isn't that cute! A couple on the beach! Just about to share their first kiss. Too bad I'm gonna have to destroy it." Aroga appeared holding a long black staff. He waved it once and a woman appeared in the sand. So many deep cuts were in her I could tell she was dead. Sakura looked tearfully at the woman and moaned the name Jenina. She told me about her before. Her foster mother. My emlpoyee who left me with the papers of Sakura's custody. He aimed his staff again.

"GET BACK!" Sakura pushed me out of the way and dodged a dark energy ball. I was pissed off. For once in a life time I had a date with a great girl and he ruined it. Sakura helped me up and walked toward Aroga.

"What are you doing?" I asked, shocked that she was walking toward him.

She simply turned her head toward me, looked at me with sincere emrald eyes that sparkled, and told me, "This is my fight. I don't want you to get hurt. I don't want you to die. I need to fight him, alone." a strange mist gathered around her and Aroga. I ran toward the mist. It felt like I hit a brick wall.

"Sakura! You're not alone!" I shouted angrily. What's that going to do? A voice in the back of my head told me, She can't hear you. "Yes she can! I just have to trust that she can!" I yelled at myself. I punched at the black mist with all might coming up with nothing at all. Nothing!

"I can help you." A voice behind me said.

"Who are you?" I said turning around.

Sakura: I know! I know! Short chapter! But I just wanted to end it here to give you a small taste of the next chapter.
