Yu-Gi-Oh! Fan Fiction ❯ The Passion, The Pain, The Lust Part I ❯ A Hidden Love and A Torned Heart ( Chapter 2 )
It was a seemingly dark night; the sky formed an ocean of stars and the moons bright texture shined through out the crystal like waters of the Nile. She sat on the stone worrying about; if the man she talked to this morning would show up. As she was looking up at the sky and its beautiful ocean of stars, a gentle hand tapped her on the shoulder. She jumped and to her surprise the man she met this morning did arrive. She felt like the weights on her chest were slowly lifting off. "I thought you weren't coming." The Pharaoh sat down on the stone beside her. "I always keep my promises." She stared at him, looked back and stared at him again. "I thought you lived far away from here? You did get here pretty quickly."
The Pharaoh sighed and decided to tell her the truth. "I am not who you think I am." The Pharaoh stood up and removed his brown cloak. She felt like her heart skipped a beat when she saw the Pharaoh's handsome appearance before her very eyes. She didn't know what to say or think. She got up and was about to leave when the Pharaoh grabbed her hand. "Listen to me please, don't leave." She stared him down and decided to stay and hear him out. "I'm really sorry, I should have told you this from the start. I only came out into town to see how my people were doing. I never meant any harm towards you." She shook all over nervously. She was afraid to say something, since he is the Pharaoh.
"It's okay. I thought your were one of the regular villagers. You sure had me fooled." The Pharaoh laughed trying to get to know more about this mysterious young lady. "We have been talking for a little while now, and I never got to ask you what your name was." Her toned seemed to be calmer and she felt a little more relaxed now. "My name is Kimora." The Pharaoh was trying to get her to talk but he could tell that she was trying to be silent and polite. "Talk to me like you are talking to one of your friends. I want to know a little more about you." Kimora was startled by his words. She though to herself, why would a Pharaoh be so kind to her but, she played along anyway.
"Well, I have 3 sisters, I like to dance of course, and I also help people out in the village mostly the elderly ones." The Pharaoh was happy to see that he broke through her ring of silence. "You dance very well." Kimora smiled cheerfully. "Thank you. I always wanted to know if, you have ever been in love with someone?" The Pharaoh sighed for he had many tales of forgotten lovers that betrayed him.
"A young lady that I thought loved me really didn't because I saw her sleeping with someone else. So we just became friends. Another time was when a lot of gold from my palace was coming up missing. I had my Priests and guards search everywhere and they found it at the girl's house who I thought I loved. They take me for granted without seeing the nice person that I really am." All this shocked Kimora. How could such a kind and compassionate Pharaoh like this endure such pain from heartless self-centered women. "A woman wants a loving and respectable man. She wants to be the center of her lover's world. She wants to be there for you no matter how difficult or how dangerous; they will be by your side. If you cannot find the strength and courage to love that women and provide her with what she needs to understand that you are a kind and compassionate man, what could you possibly provide for yourself."
The Pharaoh took her words into consideration as he sat in thought for a while. "Thanks, Kimora." The Pharaoh hugged her when she was not expecting it but she embraced him in her arms. "Anytime. You can always talk to me about anything that's on your mind." The Pharaoh got up and walked over to the crystal like waters of the Nile. He began to skip rocks and throw them to see how far he can throw. Kimora crept up quietly behind him and jumped on his back. He almost fell over but he let her have her way and just laughed it off. As he held on to her legs to keep her from falling she decided to put her soft finger tips inside his spiky head and began slowly messaging it. He didn't mind at all, he just closed his eyes and let her soft smooth fingertips caress his head. She smiled and began to whisper in his ear. "I love you." The Pharaoh looked up into the sky and smiled at Ra's ever so grateful Presence. "I love you too." They continued gazing out into the
night.
Meanwhile...
The party at the palace was beginning to come to a halt and the people where starting to head back to their homes. When everyone had left the servants were cleaning and the Priests went to search for the Pharaoh. Priestess Ishizu stayed behind inside the palace to watch over it. Shana heard that the Pharaoh was gone and went all over the palace to search for him. She couldn't find him. She was very pissed and afraid that he might be with another girl. She went outside and searched for him.
She saw two people standing by the Nile so she crept slowly over there to get a better view. She hid behind the thick papyrus and closely examined the two people that where standing there. She saw to her amazement, the Pharaoh and the young lady that was belly dancing this evening. She looked into her mirror thinking she was ugly and stormed back into the palace very angered at the Pharaoh. She was so worried about herself that she didn't even tell the Priests where the Pharaoh was located.
Priest Seto soon found him and made some noise to catch his attention. The Pharaoh turned around and saw Priest Seto. He knew it was time to go. Kimora on the other hand, started to turn red all over, she was very embarrassed. "I'll see you soon Kimora." Kimora smiled and gave him a hug. "See you around." As she walked laughing as loud as she could through the village streets. Priest Seto couldn't help but laugh. "See you around cutie." Priest Seto mocked her words and the Pharaoh just rolled his eyes and laughed. They began heading back towards the palace. Priest Seto went to inform the other Priests that Pharaoh was safe and the sleepy Pharaoh went up into his chambers. When he got there Shana was sitting on his bed.
Inside the Pharaoh's Chambers...
"What do you want?"
The Pharaoh began getting undressed like she wasn't even here. "I want to know why you were hanging off that little peasant girl, when you could have one of these pretty maidens inside the palace. Preferably me." The Pharaoh laughed and shook his head. "Are you jealous?" She started to turn red and was even angrier. "I am not jealous you big meanie." She ran out the room and into her room. The Pharaoh continued laughing, until he lied his bare body down in the bed, rolled over and went to sleep.
~Next day~
Inside the Pharaoh's Chambers...
The Pharaoh slept in a little late and Shimon came up into his chambers to wake him up. "My Lord, it is time to awaken." He didn't get an answer. "My Pharaoh it is time to get up." He still didn't get an answer.
Shimon pulled the covers off of him and he almost fainted at the sight of the Pharaohs bare body. He quickly put the covers back on and began shaking the sleepy Pharaoh. When he finally got his attention the Pharaoh began waking up.
"My Pharaoh you have slept long enough, it is time for you to arise from your slumber. If you didn't fool around with girls so much you wouldn't be so tired." The Pharaoh laughed while he was about to stand up. Shimon quickly grabbed a cloth and covered the Pharaoh. "You didn't have to do that." The Pharaoh looked at him oddly. "Yes, believe me I did." The Pharaoh was confused. "If it was because I was naked I don't really mind. I enjoy sleeping naked." Shimon was outraged and disgusted.
"Yes but, please wrap something around you and cover yourself. I will leave you to your servants and I expect that you'll be down shortly." The Pharaoh couldn't help but laugh at his funny antics. "Yes I will be down." Shimon closed the door and pulled out a handkerchief to wipe the sweat off his forehead. The Pharaoh had 3 of his most trusted servants attend to him in the morning and at other times of day. They loved the Pharaoh and cared greatly about him so it was a pleasure for them to serve him.
Inside the Throne room...
After the Pharaoh got ready he proceeded to the throne where the Priests as well as Shimon waited for him. One of his 4 servants served him wine while the others fanned him. If something bad were about to happen the Pharaoh would feel it coming from his puzzle. He felt it today. He felt a bad feeling coming on and he couldn't think of what it was. Priest Karim was off to attend to some other duties when he set his millennium scale on a table next to him. Shana thought of a miraculous idea to frame the young lady that the Pharaoh was with. She crept up slowly so as not to be seen or heard and she grabbed the millennium scale. She shoved it in a bag and ran out the palace gates.
Inside the Village...
When she got into the village she immediately searched for the girls whereabouts. She watched the villagers closely as they walked by. She soon saw a young lady come out of a house and that was the girl she was looking for. As soon as Kimora was out of sight, Shana went over to her house and dropped the bag with the millennium scale in it inside her window.
Inside the Palace...
Inside the Courtyard...
She went back to the palace to wait for the action to begin. When Priest Karim got finished talking to the guards he turned around and his millennium scale was nowhere to be found. He had the guard's search the palace and he did as well. After searching for a while he couldn't find it. He went to inform the other Priests, and they joined in the hunt for the millennium scale. As they were searching, Priest Karim went to inform the Pharaoh as well about this mishap.
"My Lord, I am terribly sorry for disturbing you but my millennium scale has disappeared." The Pharaoh waved his hand and his servants immediately departed from his presence. "Then we will search high and low until it is found." Priest Karim left the courtyard and the Pharaoh stood up thinking to himself. Was this the terrible thing that millennium puzzle was sensing? He sighed and left the courtyard.
Inside the Throne room...
He sat back on the throne and told one of the guards to dispatch troops into the village and search. The Pharaoh had his hand on his head. All this madness was making his head hurt.
Inside the Village...
The troops searched every house and everyone, in search of the millennium scale. Kimora was back at home when she got a knock on the door. She got up and peeked out the peephole. It was her best friend Ashila. Ashila was worried about Kimora and gave her a hug. "There is madness all over the place. Priest Karim's millennium scale was stolen and they are searching every house and everyone for it." Kimora though it was terrible and she hoped that they find it. Suddenly, two guards busted in the house and asked them to stand outside as they searched. One of the guards came back out and they found the millennium scale.
"Ah-ha I have found it. You thieving little broad. You will come with us." The guards put Kimora in chains and hauled her off to the palace. "Ashila ran up to the guards and blocked their path. "Move out the way or you will face the same punishment, as she will." Ashila was determined to not let anything happen to her friend. "I will not move until you release her. She is innocent." Most of the villagers seemed to agree that she was innocent but none the less they were taking her back to the palace regardless of what they say. One of the guards held onto Ashila, while the rest of the guards took Kimora to the palace. "I will save you Kimora don't worry." When the guards got into the palace the guard released Ashila and threw her onto the ground. Ashila began to cry as the villagers helped her to her feet.
Inside the Palace....
The Pharaoh, Shimon, and his six Priests were standing there awaiting the thief. They threw her on the ground to make her bow to the Pharaoh. When she lifted her head up the Pharaoh was disgusted to see that the girl he once loved was a thief. The guards lifted the girl to her feet. She had blood dripping steadily out her mouth and her eyes were blood shot red.
She had tears streaming down her face. She was breathing hard and glanced over and saw a young lady laughing but she paid her no mind. It was a sad day for the Pharaoh. He felt like he had lost someone great and his heart just melted and withered away like a flower in the wintertime. His world was dark and lonely he hardly even glanced at Kimora because he was so full of anger and rage. He knew she would never do such a thing but then again, he hardly knows her. It was hard for him to make a decision.
The normal punishment for thieves was to be whipped. But with an atrocity like this she could be banished to the desert for eternity. They knew she was the criminal at hand because they found the millennium scale in a bag at her house. One of the guards approached Priest Karim and bowed before him. He returned the millennium scale to him and walked away. The 3 servants of the Pharaoh stood watching. They where horrified and they knew as well as Kimora did, that she couldn't have done it. This girl is not even a servant in the palace so how could she have possibly gotten inside with all the guards around. Kimora's fate as well as her love life was being tarnished right before her eyes. She was about to be whipped for a crime she did not commit. She knew that the Pharaoh didn't love her anymore and that just made her even angrier inside.
