Yu-Gi-Oh! Fan Fiction ❯ The Passion, The Pain, The Lust Part I ❯ Friends or Lovers ( Chapter 35 )
At Night, Inside the Palace...
In the Throne room...
The Pharaoh stood in front of his six Priests as the man on the throne laughed his evil heart out. "Why so shocked my Pharaoh, Aren't you glad to see me? After all since you destroyed my village and killed my people I should have done the same to you." The Pharaoh as well as everyone else were confused. "Get off of my throne." The Pharaoh commanded. "No, I will not get off MY throne. When you admit that you destroyed Ashta and give me the right to this throne then I'll cut you some slack." The Pharaoh walked up to the man with his fists balled up beside him. "I don't have the slightest idea of what you're talking about but I am loosing my patience quickly. Now get off my throne." The man spat at him and the guards immediately came rushing in but the man's Ka came out and obliterated each guard. The man's Ka, Metal Zoa stood beside him on the throne as he laughed at the Pharaoh. "Oh how weak can you be? I defeated your worthless guards with one hit. Now you know how it feels."
The Pharaoh backed off the throne and began summoning Obelisk to the field. Obelisk destroyed Metal Zoa and frightened the angry man. The man's eyes grew wider and he began to quake with fear as he crawled off the floor and got down on his knees. "I'm sorry please don't kill me. I'm not worthy." the man pleaded cowardly. "I didn't want to have to resort to this but you left me no choice. There are many things I will tolerate but this surely isn't one of them." Another set of guards came in and took the man down into the dungeon. "We will discuss this matter later but now I want my throne cleaned off." Some servants rushed in and began scrubbing the throne so that it may sparkle and shine as it did before.
The Pharaoh and his Priests walked off into their meeting room while the servants continued scrubbing the throne. Kimora remembered Ashta and what had happened to it but Teania still did not know. Kimora felt it was time to tell her but, how will she take it? Kimora ran up into her room, grabbed her white robe and ran back downstairs and out of the Palace.
Inside the Village...
Kimora went to Ashila's home and banged on the door. Ashila answered it and came outside on the porch to talk to Kimora. "Hi Ashila."
"Hi Kimora. I heard about what happened in the palace and I hope everything's okay." Kimora sighed deeply. "Yeah everything's going alright. But, can I ask you something?" Ashila and Kimora sat down on the porch. "When you, Marlene, Rishad and his men, and Maya went to go search for me, where did you go?" Ashila stopped and placed her hand on her chin. "Oh yeah, we went to Trento, Dali, Aerith, and Ashta. But when we got to Ashta it was all burned down. Everyone was dead and everything was burned except for the Temple." Kimora paused and a tear fell down her eye. She assumed that the people would find someone else to rule over Ashta but the reason why they were all dead was a mystery to her. "What's wrong Kimora?" Ashila said puzzling. "It's nothing. I have to go now, see you later Ashila." Kimora ran off to Teania's house as Ashila waved bye. "I wonder what's wrong with her?" Ashila shrugged her shoulders and kept on walking.
When Kimora got to Teania's house she banged on the door. Teania opened up the door, surprised to see Kimora standing there. "Hi, Kimora what do you need?" Kimora went inside her house and shut the door.
Inside Teania's home...
"Teania I have something to tell you about Ashta." Teania sat down in the chair, waiting for Kimora to reply. "My friend Ashila said that when she left the city to search for me, she went to Ashta. But.......When they got there they said that Ashta was........................................burned down. Everything was burned except your Temple." Teania began to breathe hard and her whole body began to tremble. Kimora caught her as she fell out the chair screaming and crying. "I should've known.....that this would happen....I should have.....never left......my people." She held onto Kimora crying on her shoulder. "If we didn't get out of they're when we did you and the people would have killed me. I know those are your people and you love them but there was nothing we could do. I couldn't have let you go out like that if I had a chance to do something about it. I love you and your people and you have shown me to see through to my past and let it be put to rest. I just hope you can find it in your heart to do the same as I did."
Teania wiped her eyes and laughed happily. "You know you always find the right things to say to make me feel better. I love you too Kimora and I'm glad you came and told me." Kimora helped Teania off the floor and Teania sat back in the chair staring down at the floor. "Teania, a man at the Palace needs your help." Teania looked at her oddly. "What does he need my help for?" Kimora took off her hood and let her hair flow in the slight breeze that came in through the window. "Well you see this strange man with a patch over his eye and long black hair said he was from Ashta and he claimed that the Pharaoh burned down the city. I know it's not true and this man might be put to death if we don't help him." Teania got up, still trying to pull herself together. "Alright Kimora let's go help him." The two girls left the house and ran to the Palace. It began to get darker outside and Asenia stood by watching closely with her dagger still in her hand, urging to kill. The two girls ran through the gates and into the Palace.
Inside the Palace...
In the Throne room...
The Pharaoh was back on the throne with his six Priests beside him and the strange man with long black hair and a patch around his right eye was about to be sentenced. Kimora and Teania ran up to the throne and stood in front of the strange man. "What the hell do you want?" Priest Seto shouted aggravated. "Teania is the Princess from Ashta and she knows what happened to the village." Kimora protested. The Pharaoh began to remember Teania who has visited the Palace before and has performed one of her famous belly dancing routines. "My village was burned down but not by the Pharaoh." The man broke into tears for he has realized that he made a huge mistake by coming into the Palace, sitting on the Pharaoh's throne, and killing off his guards. "Oh please Princess help me, I need your help. Don't let me die."
"I remember you now Teania. It's nice to see you again but this man will be put to death." Teania looked at Kimora but Kimora knew that there was no hope left for this man. "What has this man done?" Teania wanted to save his life if possible. "He came into the Palace, sat on my throne, and killed the guards. I am more angry because he killed my guards. If we could have reasoned then I wouldn't have come to this decision." Teania put her hand on the stranger's shoulder.
"Is there something I can do so that this man doesn't have to suffer?" The Pharaoh sighed not wanting to put Teania through this man's troubles. "I don't want you to get involved." Teania stepped up to the Pharaoh and bowed on her hands and knees. "Then let me take his place instead. I don't know exactly what happened to my village but I know you didn't have anything to do with it." The Pharaoh of course wasn't having that so he changed his mind quickly. "Because you are a dear friend to me, I'll spare his life. But he is banished from this city and will be forced to live in another." Teania smiled gladly. "Thank you." The guards took the man out and made sure that he got his things packed up so that he can leave the city. "Thank you Kimora." Teania whispered. "Wait!" The Pharaoh called out to Teania. He stepped off the throne and walked up to her.
"I haven't seen you for a while and I was wondering if we could go somewhere and talk." Teania nodded as the Pharaoh held her hand and the two trailed off together. Kimora stood their angered knowing that something was bound to happen that would destroy their relationship forever. She felt it in her heart that the Pharaoh was already getting to close to Teania. The way he stared at her and the sympathy he gave to her. Would he have done the same thing? Would he have cared as much? Kimora was about to leave the Palace when Nina came running towards her. "Where are you going?" Nina said concerned. "I just need some time alone." Kimora said grouchy like. "I know your a little upset since the Pharaoh has embarrassed you in front of everyone but, I know he still loves you and I think you can trust him enough to be alone with that girl." Nina said with assurance. Kimora nodded and decided to listen in on them from a distance hoping that nothing will happen.
On the Balcony...
"I am really sorry to hear about your village. I have know idea what happened to it but, if I find out who is responsible for it then I will take care of them personally." The Pharaoh said supportively. "Thanks again for all your help and I am terribly sorry for the way that man was behaving. Kimora had just informed me today about what happened in my city and I couldn't bear hearing it." The Pharaoh held her hand and she began to blush heavily. "It's alright. Don't take the blame for that crazy old man. I'm just happy that you're safe and alive."
The Pharaoh kissed her forehead and she began to turn redder and redder, every time he would stop and stare deep into her blue eyes making her have this sudden wanting urge that was attracting her to him more and more. "What made you like Kimora so much?" Teania continued to blush. "She helped me overcome my fear of commitment to a woman and she helped me better understand the true meanings of Love. I love her a lot but because of past's events, it will take some time for people to see the good in her instead of the demon they think they see. If they only knew then we could be together but for now she is my dearest friend and secret lover." Teania stared off into the starry sky smiling at the rain of stars.
"That's so sweet. It must be nice to have a relationship like that. Although, I have had many relationships and they were not serious and they were useless. I did fall in love with someone before but, our relationship was on and off. I truly think you are a sweet and caring gentleman and after all Kimora's been through she deserves someone like you." The Pharaoh rubbed Teania's warm arms and kissed her rosy cheek. "I should be going now, and I hope you take care of Kimora since she'll be spending most of her time in the Palace." Teania said sadly. "I'll see you later then and I promise that I'll take care of Kimora and I won't let anything happen to her." Teania hugged the Pharaoh and walked away towards her home. Kimora was watching from a distance with a jealous yet angry look on her face. Was this just friendly conversation or an intimate one?
