[ T - Teen: Not suitable for readers under 13 ]

I live everyone!!! I'm sorry that I was unable to put this up in time. But my trusty laptop's power thing decided not to work and broke on me. And I was having trouble with coming up with a title. And those are my excuses! *sigh* Well, I have some new surprises for you… For one thing, I would like to thank my little brother and Dance Dance Revolution for the songs. (My brother printed the lyrics for the two songs that you will be seeing. And now, without further ado… The new fic!

Ch.1: Intro.
The sun barely rose above the tall buildings as a small game shop was shown. Inside the second floor with the huge window there was a lump on the bed. The sound of the alarm clock was heard. “Kerri! Kerri!” A hand turned it off and looked at the time of six-fifteen. The person yawned as it got off the bed and headed straight to the bathroom with clothes in its arms. The light turned on, which revealed the person as a female.

The young girl had long ebony hair that almost touched the ground with violet highlights and blonde bangs that framed her child-like face. Her eyes were wide and had the color of amethyst. She yawned again as she changed from her pale blue pajamas to her school uniform, which is a pink top, short navy shirt, long socks that reached her knees, black shoes, and a blue bow that accessorized the top. She walked out of the bathroom while braiding her hair and looked at the time, which read six-thirty, and freaked.

“Oh no! I'm going to miss the bus again!” She said as she grabbed her backpack and ran out of her room and down the stairs. “Morning Grandpa!” She said as she grabbed a piece of toast.

“Morning Yugi.” An elderly voice said looking above the paper he was reading.

“See you later!” Yugi said as she stuffed the piece of toast in her mouth.

-Yugi's POV-
Hi, I'm Yugi Mouto! I'm seventeen years old and a junior in Domino High. I'm pretty small for my age, which has its advatages.

“Ah! I'm going to miss it!” I ran faster.

The old man you met is my grandpa, Solomon Mouto. He used to be a world traveling gamer in his days. But now he owns a game shop out in the suburban area. Both of my parents died when I was born, so he's basically the only family I have.

-Normal POV-
She made it to the stop, only to see a girl in the same uniform in front of the bus.

“I'M NOT MOVING TILL MY HOMEGIRL GETS HERE!” The girl shouted.

-Yugi's POV-
That's Lisa; she's a transferred freshman here from America. She's always tough, but she's nice once you get to know her. She once beaten up ten school bullies all by herself, not that she didn't get hurt, but they really made her mad enough to put themselves into a hospital bed. And now it looks like she's doing her favorite morning pass time.

“OH YEAH!? YOU BIG MOTHA FU-“

The horn hollered out.

She has a very colorful language. How colorful? If she was on a pirate ship back in those days, the crew would probably try to get rid of her, without facing her wrath.

-Normal POV-
“Hey girl!” Lisa called. She has dark skin, black hair, and dark eyes. “About time you got here!” She and Yugi walked up into the bus, while getting annoyed angry looks from the bus.

“You didn't have to stop the bus.” Yugi said timidly.

“I know, but you're a nice gal, and someone like yourself shouldn't deserve to miss the bus.”

-Yugi's POV-
That's the amazing thing about her; you never know what she's thinking. You see, she's bipolar, a person who has a lot of mood changes.

-Normal POV-
The bus drove on, and after a few stops, pulled up to the high school. They met up with three other boys.

“Hey Lisa! Hey Yugi!” A girl with snow white hair said.

-Yugi's POV-
Here are my other friends. Ryou Katsura, she has long white hair and has a navy blue hair band. She has a sweet personality and usually very quiet and shy.

“About time you guys arrived.”

That was Malik Ishtar, a girl with platinum hair and looked Egyptian. She had her hair in a ponytail. She's pretty much like Lisa as the tough gal way. She moved here from Egypt sometime ago because her sister runs the Egypt exhibit in Domino Museum. She has a real name, but she would beat the snot out of you if you use it. She and Ryou are a bit taller than me, but they're real nice.

“What took ya two?”

That's Joey Wheeler, a blonde girl who has her hair a bit short. Her real name is Josephine, but she hates it. She's a tough gal too, but she's really funny too, which makes her the comedian in the group.

“That's what you get when you sleep late.”

That's Tristan Taylor. He and Joey were best friends in middle school. He has the strangest hair style I've ever seen, military short in the back with a point in the front, making it look like a horn.

“Looks like we have to go soon.''

A guy named Bakura Mitsuru said. He's a bit taller than Ryou and he's her boyfriend. He used to be a thief on the run a few years ago and caused a lot of murders. Ryou was made a hostage once because of him and ended up giving up and turned himself to the police. He took jail time for a while, but Ryou came to visit him everyday and soon he was out, but was watched. After two years of not breaking the rules, they released him and he now lives with Ryou.

There was another guy, and his name is Marik Nozomu. He has a darker shade of platinum hair and sticks upward. He kinda scares me because he looks crazy, but he's Malik's boyfriend and she usually keeps him at bay.

-Normal POV-
“Where's Seto and Duke?” Lisa asked.

“Business.” Joey and Tristan responded.

“Figures.” Malik said as she kissed Marik. “Don't speed, alright?”

“Yeah, yeah.” Marik said, until he saw the evil glare Malik showed. “Any thing for you my-“

“Yeah, yeah.” Malik said, pretending to be annoyed.

-Yugi's POV-
Marik, before he met Malik, used to speed a lot. The police were usually fed up about his driving, he rides a motorcycle. You could even say he was a speed demon before he almost ran all of us over. In fact, that's how those two met.

As for Seto and Duke, they're CEOs of their gaming companies.

Seto is Joey's boyfriend and a major multi-millionaire and he's not even a freshman in college! He had a hard childhood, along with his little brother, Moukaba. Both of them used to be orphans before the original Mr. Kaiba adopted them. Since then, he pushed Seto to his limits and at one point was warped with greed for power; but that was three years ago.

As for Duke, she's Tristan's girlfriend, her real name is unknown, but could care less. She owns a game store with the latest of games out. She and Tristan argue a lot, but they never break up or anything.

Now that I think about it, Joey and Seto argue as well, but that just makes their relationship strong. I sigh knowing this fact so well it's scary.

-Normal POV-
Bakura leaned over and placed a kiss on Ryou's cheek. “See you later.”

“Be careful.” Ryou said.

Bakura nodded as he head over to his black 1993 convertible, Marik following suite with his motorcycle, and rode off.

“We better head for class as well.” Tristan said as he headed towards the school building.

-Yugi's POV-
Bakura and Marik go to a different school. Well… more like a correction institute disguised as a school, or what Marik said.

-Normal POV-
“See you at lunch!” Yugi called.

“Can't!” Joey said. “Seto's taking me somewhere.”

All the girls and Tristan looked at the blonde.

“Lucky bitch!” Malik teased.

“Hey, hey!” Lisa said. “My guy happens to be his older brother!”

-Yugi's POV-
Moukaba, as I mentioned before, is Seto's little brother and Lisa's boyfriend. They both argue as well, but she mostly likes to tease him and beats anyone up who was being a jerk to him. She maybe a tough gal, but she cares a lot for people she cares for.

-Normal POV-
The bell rang out and everyone hurried to their classes. Yugi entered her first classroom and sat in her seat in the back. She took out her supplies as well as a gold box. Before she had a chance to open it, it was snatched from her hands.

“Playing with your stupid games again?” Said a girl in a mean tone.

“Anzu! Please give it back.” Yugi said, slightly cowering.

Anzu is a girl with shoulder length brown hair and blue eyes, and was taller than Yugi. “Fine.” She said as she threw it to a girl with curly red-orange hair. “Catch!” The girl caught it and threw it to a heavy looking girl with short black hair who threw it to Anzu.

“Give it back please!” Yugi called as she got up from her seat and tries to catch the gold box.

-Yugi's POV-
Anzu Mizaki used to be my best friend in preschool until she went to summer camp one day after we got out in the second grade. I noticed a change in her when she got back from camp and we headed to our third grade class. She started making new friends, became increaditably popular, and worst of all… started to pick on me. I don't know why, she just does. I remember on day, it was Parent's Day at school; she started making fun of me because I live with my grandpa. My parents died just minutes after I was born and I told her that! Because I trusted her! She and a few other girls, without the parent's noticing, started to make fun of me, not because of my lack of parents, but also the way I look! My hair was down to my back and my blonde bangs were really long too!

“Hey look! It's Yugi the shaggy freak!” Anzu said and the other girls stupidly laughed like hyenas about it.

The teacher and parents were too busy to see my pain and I cried.

“Crybaby! Crybaby!” They kept taunting me.

I don't remember anything after that, but I remember going fast. Fast and far away… and I found myself in the graveyard, in front of my parents' tombstones. It was raining on that day too, and almost completely dark. I remember crying and kept telling myself why, why, why! That's when a miracle came…

-Normal POV-
The three girls continued to throw the golden box around until a hand grabbed the box when it was about to reach Anzu.

“Atem!” Anzu called.

Atem is a tall, slender guy with spiky black hair with red highlights that looked like a star and has gold blonde lightening like bangs. He turned his crimson-violet eyes to the girl and glared at her. “Leave Yugi alone Mizaki!” He said, never taking his glare off her.

Anzu and the other girls went to their seats as he went up to Yugi.

“Here.” He said, his face softened with a smile.

“Thanks Atem-kun.” Yugi said taking the box.

-Yugi's POV-
Atem Misoka is my best friend since third grade. Remember when I mentioned about a miracle that rainy day? That miracle was him. It's strange how you meet people.

-Normal POV-
Atem chuckled as he took his usual seat in front of her. “How's school?” He asked.

“The usual.” Yugi said putting the box away. “How's the dig going?”

Atem sighed. “Don't even want to go there.”

-Yugi's POV-
Atem is completely unlike all the other high school kids here, or anywhere for that matter. You see, he's a full blooded Egyptian, next to Marik and Malik and her family. Anyway, his father, when he used to be alive, used to be a very well known archeologist and Egyptologist. With that sort of recognition, Atem inherit that fascination and has gone father than his father. In fact, he shouldn't be here at school as a junior like me, but he choose to be here as a student and go back to Egypt for a couple of days. He's really smart, in cast if you didn't figure that out, and I mean over the college level smart. Not to mention really popular with the girls and school staff. With that fact, he mostly sits in class and pretends to daydream but is really fast asleep with his eyes open; which freaks me out on occasion.

-Normal POV-
“When do you have to go back this time?” She whispered quietly like a mouse.

Atem slightly looked over with a sad smile on his face. “Three days, starting today.”

“Oh…” She said.

-Yugi's POV-
Since his father passed away, he proved himself with the other colleges that he was at the same level with them. But that has a price. He hardly stays here long. Those jerks always call him up to come back to the dig site. When he gets over there, he sometimes never sleeps for weeks doing research.

-Normal POV: After school-
Yugi and Atem waved their goodbyes to their friends and walked down a few blocks. They stopped by a floral shop before continuing down to the cemetery.

-Yugi's POV-
Atem and I always come here to get away from the noise and, for Atem's sanity, away from the mobs of clueless girls that give the American term `dumb blonde' a `rolling-eye-just-let-me-die' a whole new low. But that's besides the point. We come here to visit our folks and to talk to each other without interruptions. We also do our homework there.

-Normal POV-
They set roses on each of the graves of their loved ones. Yugi placed hers with her parents' tombstones while Atem did the same. The grave sites where around thirty feet apart, but that gave them some time to talk to the graves alone.

Once done with that, they go to an empty patch in the area and started to do their homework.

“How's the puzzle going along?”

-Yugi's POV-
“Not much progress.” I said as I held out the gold box.

The `puzzle' he mentioned is no ordinary puzzle. My grandfather, back in his days of his youth becoming the greatest gamer in the world, came across this puzzle in a tomb in Egypt. He went into a nameless pharaoh's tomb in the Valley of the Kings. How cool is that? Well, anyway, this puzzle's special because it's rumored to have some kind of curse, or magic. When you see the piece, you know its one or those 3-D puzzles. The best part is, when it's done, you could wear it as a pendant! But, there's a catch, it's also known to be completely difficult and no one solve it, not even my grandpa! But I still worked on it, even when I was six years old. Why? Because I made a wish on the puzzle, cursed or not. I won't tell you my wish, but I can give you a hint… and he's sitting next to me. I admit, I had a crush on him for sometime now, but I never really told him that, and I don't think I ever will. But that's what's the puzzle's for, not only will it help me grant my wish, depending if magic does exist, but also give it as a gift to him.

-Normal POV-
“Hey Yugi!” Atem said. “Want to head over to my place? I've learned this great dance move that I'm sure you'll like!”

Yugi smiled and nodded. “Okay.”

They got up from the ground and headed to one tombstone that has the words `Akhenamkhanem Misoka.'

“We're going to head out Father.” Atem said as he patted the stone.

-Yugi's POV-
Before he died, Pros. Akhenamkhanem Misoka has been the `Father figure' in my life. I usually call him `Papa Aki' because his name was difficult to pronounce when I was younger. Anyway, he was such an amazing person, a perfect role model for Atem. He would, when he's staying in Domino, always go to our recitals, plays, shows, or just take us places that were amazing and fun at the same time.

As you've heard, Atem likes to dance and I would be his partner. Once, there was a talent show in our freshmen year, just before Papa Aki died of a disease he was fighting, he went to see us perform. Atem and I were dancing a moderate/ballroom type with the music `Dark Waltz'. I remember being nervous because not only are we dancing, but I also had to sing! Atem told me that I'm fine and going to be great. Almost at the end of the dance, I was singing the final high note and the dance move was that I had to completely relax myself from my head to my waist while Atem has a hold on me as I slow tense back to a standing position.

-Normal POV-
“What's this dance called?” Yugi asked watching the other move around.

“Not sure, but I know that if you get this routine down right, and in front of the pharaoh, you're considered to be honored.”

“How come?”

“Because it's the most difficult routine to complete.”

“What makes it so difficult?”

“Because each dance has to represent the gods of Egypt. Therefore you can't stop until you've got each one down.”

“So it's a continuation dance?”

“Precisely.” He said as he grabbed her hand and showed her step-by-step of the moves.

-Yugi's POV-
There's another wish I made on the puzzle. And that's not to be so shy but confident that I could do anything. I could stand up to Anzu without my emotional scars hurting me and I could defend my friends the way they defended my. But most of all, to tell the one person I care for how I really feel.

`Tout m'entraine
Irresistiblement vers toi, comme le vent
Tout m'enchaine
Irresistiblement a toi, je le sens

Comme le jour revient après la nuit
Et le soleil toujours après la pluie
Comme un oiseau revient vers son nid
Qu' a mon amour, je vais aussi

Tout m'entraine
Irresistiblement vers toi, a chaque instant
