Oh yeah! Finally!

Okay, the story isn't over just yet there are some chapters ahead before we come to a close. Now, without further ado… Let's get this show on the road!
Marik: I need a better job.
Bakura: One that would take your insanity profile.

`Nothing's gonna stop me now tonight
Nothing's gonna stop me now
I fly for you
I'm dreaming of you
My heart is crying for a stranger's name
Tonight I need to play a brand new game
I know I will find you
Just look around you
I feel tonight that all my dreams come true
You'll never give up thinking for me too
You are the light
In this dark night
While the night is passing by
I'm gonna make you fly
I want you to stay by my side
Nothing's gonna stop me now tonight
Nothing's gonna stop me now
I fly for you
I'm dreaming of you
Have you ever thought that this could be
This feeling so strong between you and me
Just close your eyes
There is where love lies
I hope you are the hero of my dreams
Everything seems strange also for me
This can't be wrong
My vision of love'
Ch. 37: Peace at Last and Gone for Good
Seth's soul from was lifted up into the light that Kisara created, and the White Dragon appeared before Akhenaden.
`I made a wish on the Millennium Eye…' Akhenaden thought as the light from the dragon began to blow him away. `Make my son… King…' Soon the Eye was left before it, too, was blown away into nothing. `Seth…'
Seth snapped out of the control he was in. `Where am I…?' He thought.
“Seth!” Atem called, making the high priest look up.
`The Pharaoh…' Seth thought then remembered. `That's right… My father choose to die, and dragged my soul with him into the shadows…' He then remembered seeing Kisara's face. `And you saved me from those shadows… Kisara…' His thoughts were interrupted when the young king offered his hand.
“Can you stand Seth?” Atem asked.
Seth waved the offered hand away as he responded. “Yes… I'm fine.” He got up and took a good look at the area around them. “The darkness has faded, but…” The palace is now in ruins and there was now city. Just lifted earth and cliff like grounds. “It has left deep wounds in the earth.”
“We've lost many lives for this…” Atem said. “Every person must keep a light for the fallen in their hearts… And yet work to build a new future…”
Seth nodded in silent agreement.
“Atem! Seth-sama!” Came a familiar female voice from not too far away.
“Here comes your future wife.” Seth joked with a straight face as the young ruler blushed.
“She's not-” He started to say when Yugi popped up.
“There you are! Are you alright?” She said.
“I've been better.” Seth said as Yugi went up and hugged Atem.
“Where's Isis and Mana, and everyone else?” Atem asked.
“Isis and Mana are around here and the guards are keeping watch over the people over a safe clearing.” She answered as she backed up and walked over to the edge where the Dark Priest once stood, and lifted her arm out.
“Yugi?” Atem questioned, making the other look lost.
“Yugi? Is that her true name?” Seth asked.
As that went on, the Millennium Eye floated in mid-air near where her hand is. Yugi concentrated on the item as she found no more dark magic lingering around the object and grabbed it.
“Yugi…” Atem said again. “What do you plan to do?”
She turned to look at both the young ruler and the high priest, and smiled. “I'm fixing what was destroyed.” She simply said as she lifted her arm and the other three Millennium Items; the Scales, the Key, and the Ring, appeared in mid-air. After she got a hold of the items she looked at the two again. “Come along you two, we got a kingdom to rebuild.” She walked past them.
Both the Pharaoh and the high priest were lost. Then Seth looked at Atem and said. “Did she hit her head or something?”
Atem gave the other a look and pointed out. “She's housing the power of Horakhty. So what ever she's planning can't be that impossible.”
Seth looked at the young king as if he grew a second head. “You can't be serious.”
Atem ignored him as he followed Yugi, which, reluctantly, Seth followed afterward.
When they reached up to where the other two were along with Yugi.
“Pharaoh! Seth! You're okay!” Mana said as Isis looked relived.
“I told they were going to be fine.” Yugi said as she and Mana laughed.
Isis noticed the items in Yugi's arms and asked. “Lady Yugi, why do you have the Millennium Items?”
Yugi sighed. “Isis-san, I told you to stop calling me that!”
Seth looked lost once again and looked at the young ruler.
“Yugi is known as the Lady of Light.” Atem answered.
Yugi gave an embarrassed smile as she set the items on the ground and cleared the area from the rubble and what not. “The Millennium Items, though brought pain and suffering just recently to this peaceful land, will help bring the palace as well as the whole kingdom, back together.”
“How's that?” Mana asked as she and the other three looked a little curious themselves.
Yugi giggled as she stood up and searched around for a good sharp rock. “It's just like my first time learning magic, remember?” Everyone remembered that day. “Same thing applies.” She found a good sharp looking rock and started to make a circle about ten feet in diameter, and made symbols inside the circle.
“What exactly are you doing?” Seth asked.
“Making a transmutation circle.”
“A what?”
“It's something that alchemists used when they make one object to another object. But in our case, it's to rebuild, or create a new, kingdom. Depending on how the spell wants to work.”
“What?!” Mana exclaimed. “You could do that?”
“Well…”
“Don't say this is your first time.” Seth said, almost begging.
Yugi only gave an awkward smile as her response, which made the young high priest groan.
Atem became concerned. “Are you sure about this Yugi?”
“No. Not really.” She said simply, which caused Seth to groan again. “But if Horakhty says that I'll be fine, then I trust her.”
“Horakhty told you to do this?”
She nodded. “Yep.”
“All by yourself?” Isis said, a bit concerned.
She shook her head. “No way! I can't pull it off without some help.” She finished with making symbols and looked over it before placing the four items down. “Okay…” She said as she looked at Isis. “Isis-san, would you mind standing here?” She pointed to an empty circle that could easily fit a person, and looked over at Seth. “And Seth-sama, over here.”
Both Isis and Seth went to their spots and waited for further instructions.
“What about me?!” Mana said.
Yugi looked at her, as if considering her. “See the Millennium Ring?” She asked and Mana nodded. “Take that spot.” Mana did and held the item tightly. She then looked at Atem and extended her hand out. “Ready?”
Atem smiled as he grabbed her hand. “I trust you.” He said as they stood in the center of the circle. She mentioned him to rise the Millennium Pendant up and placed her hands over his as they lifted it up over their heads. With one deep breath she started to chanted a spell in a language that only the gods themselves could understand.
The circle was the first thing that reacted by glowing. Soon the wind picked up for only a moment before the light spread out to the land within a blink of an eye. Soon, the up lifted earth began to settle back down and the cracks were either filled or brought back together, the villagers houses were rebuilding themselves back to where it used to be. The gardens, fields and wells were restored, good as new.
Back at the circle, Yugi began to glow as transparent wings appeared from her back.
Mana looked awed by it as well as Isis, while Seth was wide-eyed on the wings appearance. Atem just smiled as the wind started to pick up again.
As the wind picked up, Yugi's torn, battered clothes began to glow and change. She looked like she was wearing Horahkty's dress and armor, only the head piece looked like the young king's crown, only smaller and her outfit was silver and pale sky blue, instead of the gold and white. Her chipped necklace even grew to twice its size and became an Egyptian version of a necklace.
She was completely unaware of the transformation as she chanted louder. Soon, the rubble that was once part of the palace started to float in mid-air and come together. The three were surprised that this was happening as so was Atem, but he was still focused at the task at hand. Like a puzzle, the palace was putting itself together, but it was also changing as well.
Soon they were facing the gate of the rebuilt palace and the villagers could see them. The people were amazed to see the six in a circle that caused the rebuilding of their beloved kingdom. As soon as the last grain of sand was back in place, the light faded into nothing into the center of the circle, which shot up into a small beam into the sky and disappeared within a blink of an eye.
Yugi stopped glowing, but the outfit was still intact, and started to wobble.
“Yugi!” Atem said as he steadied her.
She looked up and smiled. “I'm fine, just a little drained.” She said as the villagers cheered. She blushed a beet red as the young king chuckled.
“Good job.” He whispered.
She giggled as the two priests were giving orders to the men and Mana chatting lively. `I wonder how everyone back home is doing.' She thought as she looked up into the sky.
~Modern Day: Domino~
Unlike Egypt, the city of Domino didn't look so bad, but wasn't blessed with being able to repair itself. As everyone else seemed to forget Zorc and took the storm as an unexpected and unusual occurrence, the gang went out to search for Atem.
“Atem!” Tristan called as he and Duke checked the park. And it seemed like a few others were with them looking for their loved ones as well.
Marik and Malik, who were in downtown, got the message, when the phones were back up, and started to search their area.
Bakura and Ryou checked uptown and found Joey, Seto, Lisa, and Moukaba and told them about the search and set out.
While that was going on, Ishizu went up to Grandpa Mouto with a down casted look.
“Ishizu? What's wrong?” Grandpa asked as she held up the one item that started the madness. “Isn't that the Millennium Puzzle?”
“It's now the Millennium Pendant.” She corrected. “After the great evil has been completely destroyed, there was no need for the pendant to be broken down.”
“And Atem?”
Ishizu placed the pendant down on the glass showcase counter and reached into the bag she brought with her and took out a black shirt and jeans.
“Atem wore those today…” The elder said, confused and worried. “What does it mean?”
She looked more troubled as ever, as if finding the right words to put it as she glanced at a picture behind the elder.
He looked around and looked shocked and wished he had a heart attack right now.
“Atem…” She was about to say as tears started to fall from her eyes.
“Grandpa Mouto!” Lisa called as she and the rest of the gang entered. “We looked at every damn hang out he's ever been and we looked through the whole damn city and we couldn't find him!”
That's when they saw Ishizu's tears.
“What's the matter sis?” Malik asked when she saw the pendant and the clothes.
“Atem…” Ishizu started again. “He… doesn't exist here… anymore… He gave his entire life force to his past self in order to help Yugi defeat the darkness.”
“That can't be true!” Joey cried.
“That's a load of bullshit!” Lisa said, agreeing with Joey.
That's when the elder held out the picture of the whole gang that he had on the wall, only there was one person missing. “I'm afraid it's true.” He said. “He only exist in Ancient Egypt.”
The spot where Yugi was in the picture, there used to be Atem… smiling along with her and supporting the `V-for-victory' sign. But there was only the young girl in the picture.

`If I never knew you
If I never felt this love
I would have no inkling of
How precious life can be
And if I never held you
I would never have a clue
How at last I'd find in you
The missing part of me.
In this world so full of fear
Full of rage and lies
I can see the truth so clear
In your eyes
So dry your eyes
And I'm so grateful to you
I'd have lived my whole life through
Lost forever
If I never knew you
If I never knew you
I'd be safe but half as real
Never knowing I could feel
A love so strong and true
I'm so grateful to you
I'd have lived my whole life through
Lost forever
If I never knew you
I thought our love would be so beautiful
Somehow we'd make the whole world bright
I never knew that fear and hate could be so strong
all they'd leave us were these whispers in the night
But still my heart is saying we were right
Oh if I never knew you
If I never knew you
I would have no inkling of
If our time has gone too fast
How precious life can be...
I've lived at last...
I thought our love would be so beautiful
Somehow we'd make the whole world bright
I thought our love would be so beautiful
We'd turn the darkness into light
And still my heart is saying we were right
we were right
And if I never knew you
If I never knew you
I'd have lived my whole life through
Empty as the sky
Never knowing why
If I never felt this love
I would have no inkling of
How precious life can be
And if I never held you
I would never have a clue
How at last I'd find in you
The missing part of me.
